Carli moaned. Oh my god, what had happened? Last she remembered she had been at a sleepover with her best friends, Lidia and Emma. Emma's mother had come down and told them to go to sleep. They had been watching Harry Potter, and then, then.... what? She remembered a flash of light, and it was....pink? She opened her eyes. She was in a forest. It looked like an animated forest, the ones with black lines around the trees. Her face felt like it had been smashed into the grass, and by the looks of the ground, it had been. Carli quickly wiped her face with her hand, but it felt hard, like a cylinder-like rock. She stared at it. Her hand had turned into a pale orange hoof. Some sparkly strands of dark orange hair fell onto her face. She slowly got to her feet, hooves, and looked around.
There was a sky blue horse with long brown hair and a horn to her right. She had a deep blue music note on her flank. Behind her there was another horse, this time purple, with a blonde ponytail in her hair with an eight, no, an infinity sign on her flank. And she had wings! She looked at herself. No wings, and by the looks of it, no horn. On her flank, there was a multiply and divide sign. Carli felt very calm, though deep down she was freaking out. A whimper to her right startled her. It looked like the blue horse was stirring. Her huge blue eyes blinked. She looked around, taking in her surroundings, and saw Carli. And then the blue horse screamed.
"Ohmygodohmygodohmygod!!!" The horse screeched. Her pupils in her eyes shrank. "You're a pony!!!! Am I.... am I in a dream?" Ah, that's what they were! Ponies! She should so much better know, because they were ponies! Carli could feel herself start hyperventilating. The blue pony punched herself. "Ow-ow-ow! Nope! This is not a dream."
Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. That sounded a lot like..... "Lidia?" Carli whispered.
The blue pony looked frightened, though a bit relieved. "Carli? Is that you?" She asked.
"Yeah. Where the hay are we?" Carli said. "No pun intended." She added, seeing the look on Lidia's face. "Wait, if you're you, is that Emma?" She pointed at the purple pony.
Lidia shrugged.
"Maybe, but we should fir-" She was interrupted by a loud snort. The purple pony was awake, though she looked half asleep.
"Hey, you're horse-" Her eyes got huge. "OH MY GOD!!!!!!!" She yelled. She started to charge them. Lidia's horn glowed lavender, and the purple pony (Emma?) was enveloped in purple sparkly magic. The purple pony stopped. She couldn't move.
Lidia spoke. "Emma, it's okay. It's Lidia and Carli. I don't know how, but we've been transported into Equestria, and we're ponies now. Nothing will hurt us here, unless-" She stopped. "Oh nononono. Not here. Please not here!"
"What Lidia?" Carli asked.
"The Everfree Forest!" Lidia almost screamed. Carli just looked confused. "Uhhhhh, what?" She asked. Lidia's voice got high. "It has bad stuff in it! Like cockatrices and manticores." Carli looked bemused. "CHICKEN SNAKE THINGS THAT FREAKING TURN YOU INTO STONE AND A GIANT LION SCORPION THING!!!!!!" She screeched.
"Oh dear," Carli said. "Well then, we probably should get out of here. Like, right now." Emma had been listening to their conversation the whole time. Lidia's magic faded, and the three ponies broke into a run.
"A light!" Emma soon shouted. They stumbled out into the sunlight. Lidia looked out across the valley below them.
"Wow." She said softly. "Ponyville."
"Uhhh, Lidi?" Emma asked, using Lidia's nickname. "Are you going to tell us what's going on?"
Lidia kept her back to them, but she told them how she knew all this.
"Well, at least a year ago, I was watching YouTube videos and I found My Little Pony; Friendship is Magic. I was pulled into the world of ponies. I've written stories about them, I've drawn them, etc,. I know about most ponies, and especially the Mane Six. We are in Equestria, the marks on our flanks are called Cutie Marks, and I'm a unicorn, Emma is an pegasus, and Carli is a Earth Pony. There are four alicorn princesses, Celestia, she raises the sun, Luna raises the moon, Cadance protects the Crystal Empire, and Twilight is the princess of friendship."
"Well, that's great! Now we know about the Equestrians!" Lidia searched Carli's voice for any hint of sarcasm; there was none.
"Come on! Let us go and meet the townspeople!" Emma said in a silly British accent.
"You guys are being really calm about this. Oh yeah, I almost forgot! Everybody here has super duper long names like Twilight Sparkle, Rainbow Dash, Vinyl Scratch, etc,. And no one really has a last name. I mean, I suppose you could say the last word in their name is their last name, except that some are all one word, like Fluttershy. At least that is my theory. And-" Lidia was cut off.
"So you are asking us to change names? Coolness. I wanna be Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!" Carli said. "But I can't spell that, so that is probably not the perfect name." They all laughed. "Wait I know! How 'bout Kitten Fluff! Nah, that should be Lidia's name." She gasped."I've got it! Firefox!"
"Firefox! Perfect! Wait, are you talking about the internet browser?" Emma said. "Hmm, considering I've got this sideways eight on my butt, I should be Sideways Eight!"
"Emma, that's an Infinity sign." Lidia said.
"Ohhhhhhh. I thought it looked familiar. Okay then, I'll be Infinity! How about you, Lidia?" Emma said.
"I've already got mine, I'll be Aquarius Sing." Lidia announced.
"Coolness! Very poetic."
Lidia smiled and bowed. "Thank you very mu-" She stopped. A scream came from down in the valley. It sounded very very excited. A black and pink blur was coming towards them. A couple ponies were following her.
Emma really didn't want to get ran over. She tried flapping one wing, then the other. And then at the same time. Liftoff! She hovered a few feet above her friends. The black and pink blur screamed "Infinity!!!!!"
Okay, that was a bit creepy. How did she know that? Only her friends knew so far. Maybe some ponies were mind readers? Carli, no, Firefox, was looking a bit frightened, and Aquarius was looking from the pink/black blur to Infinity with increasing horror.
"Oh my god, we're my OC's. The blur is Neon Light, also known as LED. The one green pony in the crowd is Techno Mist, the other pegasus is Strawberry Swirl, also known as Berry. Oh and yes, Infinity, Berry is your sister." She told them. "And she is blind."
'Oh come on, why do I always get the sister.' Infinity thought.
And then the blur ran into Infinity, and she blacked out.
