Ponyville
It had not been long since my stay in Equestria. I was happy that I get to see happiness. I wondered what always makes me smile? Is it the fact that the town looked amazing, great and beautiful? Probably. Was it because my friends are here? A definite yes would do.
I actually love being with my friends. They're the ones that cheer me up at good and bad times. Each one of them makes me have a special connection. Rainbow Dash with her dependency, Pinkie Pie with her funny personality that makes me laugh, Rarity with her generous attitude, Applejack with her trusting words, Fluttershy with her nice cuteness and Twilight Sparkle with her magical knowledge. That's what I love about them. Since my stay, I had been living at each of their places. In return, I help them with their work.
Now, I'm just minding my own business at the fountain. With everypony free, what to do? I looked around and nopony looked like they doing something important. Don't get me started. I love to interact with the ponyfolks and all, but I find it rude to interrupt them.
Luckily, I was approached by somepony. Who was it? One of Princess Celestia's royal guards. He handed me a flier. What was this? I looked to read it.
"Volunteer army: Help defend Equestria's honor by protecting it from hostile nations."
Volunteer army? For what?
"What's this?" I asked the guard.
"Flier for the volunteer army." he replied.
"Why does Princess Celestia need a volunteer army?"
"Word is that the Biemas Republic is coming to invade Equestria. It just suddenly happened." he explained.
The Biemas Republic is one of the most fearsome countries that have always waged war on other countries. I heard that they've taken out most countries that have a strong military force. Because of that, other nations had surrendered before their kingdom fell.
"All I know is that they're not gonna know what'll be hitting them when they wage war on us." he added before flying off to hand out more fliers.
I don't know what's gonna happen but--
"Hey, Hasel!" somepony called out. I turned around and saw Twilight and the rest of our friends. They trotted towards me.
"I see you received a flier too." she said.
"Yeah. Turns out that Biemas is gonna come and invade our land." I explained.
"What the--? Those jerks won't know what they're gonna walk into!" Rainbow Dash yelled.
"I'm thinking of joining the volunteer army. Not just because to defend Equestria's honor. But to show the neighboring nations who's boss." I said, showing too much confidence.
"What?!" everypony shouted. I knew that they're gonna give that reaction.
"I've lost one home. I can't lose another. If Equestria falls into enemy hands, then what's gonna happen to us?" I explained in a strong tone. "Think about it. I just can't see our nation turn into ruins." I added as I walked away. I'm feeling so upset right now. Just thinking about losing our land makes me feel sorrow.
"Wait!" Twilight called out again. I turned around and they got close to me.
"If you're going, then we're going!" Rainbow Dash assured.
"Girls, you don't have to--" I said, but got cut off.
"We just can't stand to lose one of our best friends." Fluttershy said.
"That's why we're gonna make sure we watch y'er back!" Applejack assured.
"Just like glue!" Pinkie Pie added.
"You covered in blood makes me think of what a mess you would be" Rarity shuddered.
"You girls..." I gave them a huge hug. I never thought they would actually go on this battle with me. But in my eyes, they did.
The next day, we arrived at Canterlot Castle to meet up with the other volunteers. We entered the courtyard and saw almost everypony from Ponyville, Canterlot, Manehattan, Appleloosa, Fillydelphia and Cloudsdale. Coming out was Princess Celestia and her sister, Princess Luna. We all took attention to them an assembled in groups.
"It's a pleasure in meeting you all here." Princess Celestia spoke. "As you all know, you have heard of the invasion the Biemas Republic is going to pull on Equestria.". I heard murmurs in the crowd.
"Well, it is true. We are at war." she continued. Gasps and yelling everywhere. "Currently, our army is at a minimum. So, we don't have enough soldiers to defend all of Equestria.". I'm starting to get worried myself.
"That is why I called you all here. Me and Luna would like to thank you for volunteering to join the army."
So many cheers.
"Eventhough some of you may lack battle experience, we need to win this war. So all of you, we hope that your sacrifices will save Equestria from such evil.". Starting to feel the adrenaline rush...
"For Equestria!!!" I roared out.
"FOR EQUESTRIA!!!" the crowd exactly did.
After increasing our morale, Princess Celestia came towards me and my friends.
"Hasel, I've noticed that the citizens show admiration towards you." she said.
"Well, I'm just helping anypony in need." I replied.
"I would like you, Twilight Sparkle, Rainbow Dash and Applejack to be my commanders." she offered. Woah! Commander?! Huge responsibility, right?
"Erm... I don't know..." I mumbled, trying to get the words out of my mouth.
"Do it for your home." she said. The word 'home' struck my mind. I don't want to lose another home again.
"Alright! I accept!" I said confidently. My friends cheered for me.
"I'll be expecting from you four. Don't let me down." she said as she walked back into the castle.
"You heard her girls. For all of Equestria!" I said, rallying my friends up.
"For Equestria!" they shouted to. Biemas is not gonna like what they see on the battlefield.
The next day passed by. I'm preparing my battle armor now in my quarters. Somehow, it's not like any other armor. It feels...well...warm. I think it's from the sun. Or maybe the blacksmith must be a magician. Well, whatever. It's time to grab my weapon. I see a broadsword standing there. It's smooth and sleek, straight and hard.
...Somehow, that came out wrong.
Going outside, I see everypony panicking all over the courtyard.
"What's going on?" I asked.
"They've come! The Biemasians have taken all the other cities!" somepony yelled.
"Is there any other city standing?" I asked.
"All that's left is Canterlot!" he replied, before getting into his position.
This was gonna get interesting.
