Following the events of "Twilight's Kingdom," Discord, Twilight, her friends and fellow princesses struggle to move on following Tirek's rampage. At the same time, Tirek is brought back to Canterlot to face justice and be put to death for his crimes.

Author's note: On February 13, 2015, I will be writing an alternate take on this story that will be divided into two parts: one part focusing on Discord attempting to make up for betraying Equestria and the other part focusing on Tirek being put on trial for his crimes while Twilight deals with the loss of her home.
However, because a lot of you seemed to enjoy this version, I will leave it up for your viewing pleasure.
