The Wrath of the Divines: The silence of Death.
Chapter 4
Previous ChapterNext Chapter“Ah what do we have here,” Discord pondered as he looked at the strange sight before him. Before him stood a large magical barrier that stretch for miles and miles, and stood a few miles high.
This was beyond strange for the god, and he was the incarnate of strange. Well, psych could be that too, but that is another story. Discord had never seen a being with enough magic or power to cast a veil and a wide piece of land, other than Pathos and Nightmare Moon.
“Well this is certainly intriguing,” Discord smirked as he flew next to the field staying true to its purpose, the god of chaos could not see past it. Even when he pressed his face against it, his vision could not penetrate the thick magical field.
“Well. I’ll be damned. I cannot see past this shit,” Discord scoffed, as he backed away from his worthy adversary.
He put a claw underneath his chin, and began to think, and began to try and solve his dilemma. Teleportation. No. It’s more than likely impervious to most magic. Knock on it. No. I do not want to draw too much attention to myself. How about phantasmal. No, wait. That is an excellent idea.
Discord smiled, as he pulled his hand away from his chin and flared his magic. In a bright flash he turned transparent. Let’s see if this works. He then proceeded to try to go through the field. Only for him to slam face first into the field.
“God fucking dammit,” Discord shouted, as he held his bleeding snout.

In her chambers, Constella felt a weird vibration. She then looked about to see what had caused the disturbance. Not noticing anything, she ignored it thinking that she had imagined it. Oh how wrong she was.

After Discord stopped the bleeding of his nose. He decided to retry passing through the field once more.
“Ok. If this doesn’t work, I’m seriously going to make a volcano here,” the lord of chaos spoke, as he flared his magic once more. Making sure he didn’t make the same mistake twice, he thought carefully about what he was doing...As if. He quickly casted a quick spell, and with a loud pop, he became astral. With more desire than the Diamond dog he watched kill that dragon, he charged the field.
Passing through with utmost ease, Discord wanted to celebrate. Only that he knew he would be seen.
“Now I need to-”, Discord stated, before his jaw dropped to the ground, literally. Before him was vast amounts of towns, keeps, and farmlands. He had never seen so much prosperity. It was sickening. What also caught his eyes was that the earth was being tended to by the oddest of creature...A pony.
After picking up his jaw, he looked about to see that they were many other ponies. Best yet was that they were of different colors. If he didn't know any better, he would have thought that he created this place by mistake.
“By the Goths. Look at this place,” Discord stated, as he beckoned, for no one in particular (Yes he did say Goths) “It’s peaceful. It’s so peaceful,” Discord continued to state, before a sadistic grin spread across his face.” OH. What chaos I could create,” he spoke as he flared his magic once more.

In the capital of Equis, Solaris sat on his throne listening to the complaints of uptight nobles.
“And that is why, business should not have to pay for workers compensation,” Wealthy Advisor stated, as he stood before royalty. He was a brown unicorn, with a bright blue mane. He owned the smoothing business that made all sorts of weapons and armor for a cheap price, at the expense of his smiths. His cutie mark was that of a stack of gold smashing a pony beneath it. It indicated how selfish and greedy he was.
“I don’t see your point, Wealthy Advisor. Records show that out of all the business in all of Equis, yours has the most accidents in just a month. Not to mention that most of the accidents have put ponies in the hospital, on the grounds of severe burning,” Wild Star accused, as he pointed his hoof at his opponent He was a unicorn of violet hue, with a long azure mane. He had a cutie mark of a very well-known constellation. Indicating his love of astronomy.
“Why see here,” Wealthy growled, only to be interrupted.
“There will be none of that,” Solaris proclaimed.
“But-But,” Wealthy tried to state only to be interrupted.
“No buts. Mr. Advisor. I will decide what is to happen by tomorrow morning. Until then I wish for you to go home to your families,” the king shouted.
“Yes, your majesty,” both nobles stated, as they left the throne room.
“Damn nobles,” Solaris bickered under his breath. He then turned to see his trusted friend hand him a letter. With a smile Solaris happily took the letter and ask,” Oh, Time Gate how have you been doing.”
“I have been quite well, actually. But you should probably read the letter,” the earth pony said, with a hint of fear in his voice. Time Gate was an elderly pony, already old enough to have seen the birth of his great grandchildren. He had auburn fur and a dark brown mane. His cutie mark was that of a written letter, next to a small watch. He was exceptional, when it came to the royal schedule.
“Oh what could be so urgent,” Solaris commented, as he began reading the letter. When he was done, his expression changed from happy to a more serious tone.
Dear Solaris,
Just a few moments ago, a strange creature was spotted wreaking havoc on the eastern farmlands. What he was doing was unbelievable. Even his appearance was bizarre. He looked as if many species decided to have an orgy, and he was the result. If I hadn’t see it with my own eyes, I would send the person, whom of which told me about this, to an asylum. With a snap of his fingers he morph the shape of object, miraculously spawn items, and even break every law of magic we know today. The guard tried to take him to custody, but he would only laugh and trap of in different states. Some were turned to stone, others frozen, some even continuously burning past the point they should. I have never felt so much fear, when he would just laugh at their misery. The only reason I am sending you this letter now, was because I was able to escape, before all went to shit. We desperately need some back up.

Solaris was beyond words. To be truthful, Solaris didn’t really like how his friend’s son had written, but it was besides the matter. Not only was his kingdom being attacked, but also by a creature of unknown origin. This was troubling indeed. Solaris’ thoughts were interrupted by the sound of an elderly voice.
“Sire,” the elderly pony asked worriedly.
“Yes. Um. Time Gate have the guards prepare my armor. We have a situation on our hand,” Solaris ordered, with a look of determination in his eyes.
“Yes your highness,” Time Gate saluted, as he made a mad dash towards the royal armory. Before he was the royal advisor, the earth pony was the captain of the 2nd Earth pony regiment. That is until he took an arrow to the knee from a mishap.
Solaris did not know what the mentioned being was, nor did he care. All he knew that, was he would face any adversary in order to protect his kingdom.

Discord was having the time of his life, in the new environment. Everything was useless against his power. The nerve 0f them, when he was asked to surrender. That was when the true fun began.
Making sure that his victims would stay alive, he fueled his magic into them, making them virtually immortal. There were 12 pony like creature, so he decided to punish them in groups of four. The first group he had frozen solid, all of them feeling the coolness of ice that was way below its freezing point, and the pain of omnipresent frostbite. The next group he decided to have them trapped in a pit of sulfuric acid, mind you because they could not die, the will feel their flesh burn past the point of corrosion. The last group was a bit tricky, but he still found something humorous to them. He casted magic on them that would slowly morph them into a pony lamp. Their body would twist and contort to that of a lamp, and then shock by several volts of electricity.
“Ha-ha, I am having such a party in this country,” Discord laughed, as he listened to the silent scream of his victims. Discord has always had a sadistic sense of humor. He never really liked killing individual, but he sure like hearing them scream.
“Just think of all the chaos I could create here,” Discord spoke out, as he thought of what to do next. His train of thought was interrupted, by the sound of a male voice.
“What are you,” the voice asked.

When Solaris arrived at the unprecedented seen, he could not believe what he was looking at. True to Charge Gate's Word, this Abomination of nature, looked as if a large number of creatures decided to have sexual intercourse with one another.
“What are you,” Solaris asked, as he held himself in the air with his massive bird like wings.
The creature turned towards Solaris, and the king could only recoil from looking upon its sadistic grin, “My. I am from the species of Draconequus. To be exact about what I am, though. I am Discord, The God of Chaos,” the creature named Discord answered, as he...swam...through the air?
Solaris could not make sense of the creature. He was swimming through the vast sea known as air. The Alicorn shook his head to make sure he wasn’t seeing things, But when he looked back at the god, he saw him not only swimming, but also drinking a chocolate milk glass. No seriously. Solaris saw the draconequus drink the glass, as if it were liquid.
“Ah yes. I seem to have that effect on individuals,” the embodiment of chaos chuckled, at the ponies bewilderment.
Shaking his head, Solaris wiped the confusion from his mind. He then proceeded to glare at the strange creature. “I must ask you to, please leave my people be,” the alicorn stated, with vigor present in his voice.
“Hm. Since you asked so nicely...No,” the Draconequus half-heartedly responded.
“It was not much of a question, as it was a demand,” the anger king shouted, as he flared his horn.
Discords smile widened even further. The strange creature before him, was emitting large amounts of magic. Discord too flared his magic and replied. “If you insist.”
Discord will remember this fight for days to come, and even beyond that. It will be forever be engraved in his name. The day he will fight a foe worthy to even be his nemeses. The day that Discord, the god of chaos and disharmony, was not impervious to everything the world had to offer.

Pathos sat on his frozen throne, watching the activities of Discord. Without the beings knowing, he had implanted discord with a shade. An undead creature, whom of which were great at spying. They are invisible and could almost be impossible to detect. They can attach any surface with their suction cups, and faze through anything. The only reason, he hadn’t wanted to use them for the mission, was that the other gods did not know he could bring forth the armies of the dead.
“So, this is the ruler of the new nation,” Pathos stated with a worried. He had never seen a mortal being with so much magic. In fact, he was starting to doubt that discord adversary was mortal at all. What was even more frightening, was that he was not clearly the maker of the magical field. Which meant there was more like him.
“Discord. I can only hope, you know what you have gotten yourself into,” Pathos muttered, as he continued to watch the scene before him. Pathos knew that, if Discord where to lose this fight against his opponent. The very likelihood of Pathos’ divine rule was at stake. Pathos would, ironically, have to restore order.
