The battle of the white and black plains
The Castle of Blackness was in a panic with the sudden visit of a black scout galloping thru the throne room doors.
“What is the meaning of this!?” said King Blackey, the alicorn of black. “You better have a good excuse for barging in here announced!”
“I do my liege!” said the black scout panting for breath. “The White kings army has been spotted marching towards us!”
The curtt gaped at this.
“What!?” said Queen Dark, the alicorn of darkness. “The white kingdom has been at peace with us for centuries!”
“But,” said the king calming his wife. “We must act! Send out the archers!”
The blacks kingdom had a special unit of pegasus archers who were only rivaled by that of the white kingdom's archers.
“So,” said a black archer. “Where is the white army?”
“There!” said a a black archer mare. “They approach from the south with armies!”
The army of the white army rushed forward with their white infantry earth ponies.
“Archers!” said the white spiritual leader. “Fire!”
The magical arrows rained down upon the army of white infantries while the black infantry charged forward, galloping with spears on their saddles.
Meanwhile, the two white spiritual unicorns, one mare the other stallion, watched the battle below them on the fields of squares with worry.
“We must do something!” said the mare to her male counterpart.
“And something we shall do!” said the stallion turning around. “Follow me.”
He led them to the western tower and upon opening the latch, the mare saw what he had in store for the invading forces.
“Of course!” said the mare. “A giant crossbow!” she said looking at the giant crossbow.
“Black siege tower!” said a white archer.
“Hurry help me load this!” said the stallion as the mare helped him load up the crossbow, aiming it at the siege tower the marte levitated a mallet and kicked the holding pin releasing the huge arrows at the siege tower quickly demolishing it.
“Yeah!” said a white white muscle stallion before being shot by an arrow.
“We did it!” said the stallion hugging his female partner with them blushing.
“Yeah, I guess we...watch out!” said the mare, but it was too late, the giant arrow from the black kindom hit the wall of the tower killing everypony inside.
Meanwhile, The king of the white kingdom, the white alicorn Whitey, stood before his armored wife, queen and fellow alicorn, Light.
“Are you sure about this my love?” said the king holding his wife’s hoofs.
“I’m sure my love,” said the queen kissing her husband on the lips for one final time, tasting the sour tears of her beloved on her tongue.
“Come back to me,” cried the king as his wife rushed toward her foe.
Queen Dark who had said goodbye to her husband in a just has tearful farewell has Queen Dark stood at the front gate of the white castle with her battle armor shining from the gleams of light shining thru the smoke of the city.
“Greetings Light,” hissed Dark to her former friend. “Come to surrender? Well I’m sorry we don’t spare traitors!”
“Traitors!?” shouted Light. “You were the ones who attacked us first!”
“Lies!” replied Dark pointing her sword at Light. “Enough of this pointless banter, we shall decided this like the kings and queens of old. With a duel!”
“So it is,” said Light charging at her opponent. “At you!”
Dark dodged the attack before swinging her sword at Light only for Light to block her.
“Nice try Light!” said Dark chuckling.
“I have more than that Dark,” said Light tripping her opponent to get back up.
They fought for twenty minutes with magic, weapons, and bear hooves. Eventfully Light saw an opening and plunged her dagger into Dark.
“Curse you,” said Dark before expiring.
“Light looked down to see a dagger in her side, planted by Dark as her last message to her former best friend. She fell to her enemy’s side and died.
The white king weeped at the sight of his wife's body in the courtyard before hearing the shouts of his once brother in arms, the black king. Rushing thru the hallways he eventfully galloped upward to the highest point in the kingdom, a tower of vigilance. Looking down he saw there was no ledge and this would most likely end.
“Jump you coward,” said a tear stained Blackey. “Just die for your sins and the death of my wife.”
“Mine!” wailed Whitey. “You attacked me first and killed my wife! If anypony should be repenting it should be you!”
“What are you talking about?” said Blackey trotting to the edge of the tower near Whitey. “My scout said you attacked us first.”
“No,” said Whitey taking a step closer to the edge. “My scout said you attacked me first,I was just preparing for a defence.”
“But-” said Blackey before he and Whitney were pushed off the ledge by a grey coated stallion who was also the scout who told the kings about the other attacking them.
“No gentlecolts,” said the grey scout. “You were both wrong,” he said smiling.
As the two kings plummeted to their doom, their wings unable to lift due to being torn by battle, their last sights were of their kingdoms in blood soaked roads and bodies of citizens and soldier alike plastered everywhere. Looking at one another the kings gave each other a nod of forgiveness before the hit the ground and died peacefully.
“And that’s how me and Twilight got here,” said a smiling Pinkie Pie surrounded by messed up chess pieces while her friend just stared at her.
“Pinkie that is not what happened!” said Twilight with a facehoof.
“So what did happen?” said Applejack.
“Rainbow Dash came flying thru and knocked our pieces off the board,” said Twilight glaring at a blushing Rainbow Dash. “There was no battle, giant crossbows, or kingdoms attacking each other.”
“But Twilight!” whined Pinkie. “I like my version better!”
