The Pie rock farm was shaking in excitement with dozens of foals moving around with a pink blur shouting in laughter with her friends on the bouncy houses, the bouncy clown, and the not so bouncy rocks.

“Come on everypony! It’s almost time for cake!” shouted a joyful soon to be eight year old Pinkie Pie.

“Yay!” cheered the foals stampeding into the barn where the party food and adults where...except three.

“Woohoo!” shouted Coil Sparks bouncing on the bouncy clown.

“Sir can you please get off me?” said the clown trying to get up.

“Oh, okay,” said Coil getting off the clown. “Come on Humble, Dazzle, and Slit (who were bouncing on the bouncy house)! The cake is ready!” said Coil before galloping towards the awaiting cake.

“Woohoo!” shouted Dazzle as she and Humble slowed their bounce while Slit just bellowed. “Well you heard him Humble, time to head in.”

“Fine,” replied Humble doing one last beachball dunk in the hoop. “Let’s go.”

Getting out of the bouncy house, the three headed over to the barn, but were interrupted by the pounce of Pinkie.

“Unkie Humble!” shouted Pinking throwing  into the air while Humble caught her.

“What is it Pinkie?” said Humble tickling her.

“Hahaha- stop that silly, the cake won’t be for a few more minutes and I was just wondering-”

“Like you always do.”

“-How did you get Slit as a friend?” Pinkie asked with the gleam of intrigue in her eyes.

“Huh, now that I think about it sweetie, you never did tell me how you got Slit,” said Dazzle playing patty cake with Pinkie.

“Well, dear ya never asked,” said Humble petting the alligator named Slit. “Should we tell them buddy?”

Slit just bellowed in a way that equaled “yes”

“Well alright,” said Humble as he and the rest sat on some stones. “It all started when I was six years old-”

“Coil, why are you in my bedroom at six o'clock in the morning?” asked six year old Humble looking out his bedroom window to see the sight of no sight of Celestia’s sun.

“Because!” shouted six year old Coil at the foot of his bed. “I know what we're gonna do today!”

“Play tag?”

“Nope.”

“Hide n seek?”

“Nada.”

“Find a way to make water even more ionized?”

“No-wait could we do that today!?”  asked Coil hoping it was that now.

“No, you remember last time.” said Humble pointing at a newspaper clip saying “Too much iron in the water supply-minor skin irritation and throwup expected”

“Oh, yeah. Wait I remember what we're gonna do today!” shouted Coil with a hint of disappointed at the non ionized water idea. “Were gonna go to the swamp!”

“Why?” asked Humble confused and a bit annoyed on that the reason he was awoken was due to his friend wanting to go to a humid place.

“Because we should!” said Coil. “I mean the swamp is just a blocks.”

After convincing Humble to come to the swamp the two colts tranched thru the green waters and lilypads and the sight of a bunch of alligators playing around.

“Huh, look at all those alligators,” said Humble pointing at one.

“Yeah, and look at the one over there with a bunch of heads,” said Coil pointing to the right.

“Coil, the only creature that has a bunch of heads is a chimera or a…..hydra,” said Humble while Coil scampered behind him while they saw before them a towering Hydra.

“Don’t worry Coil and you alligators,” said a cool hat wearing Humble. “I’ll take care of this worm!”

The next few actions were so fierce they could not be described to any pink nieces but at the end of the day that hydra ran away with only one of somthing.

“Yay, Humble!’ said Coil and the suddenly talking alligators. “He’s a hero! Let us take him to the chief to be rewarded.

Heading to a castle underwater the king of the gators bestowed upon Humble the title the hyra defeater and chosen one, along with the companionship of his son, Slit.

“Yay Humble!” shouted the feast.

“And that is how I got Slit as a friend,” finished Humble petting his amphibians friend.

“Wow!” shouted Pinkie who was heading over barn for cake and presents. “That was a amazing story! I gotta get to the cake and presents though!” she said before bouncing on over to the barn leaving Humble, Dazzle, and Slit alone.

“So you never did tell me you were a chosen one of the alligators for saving them from a hydra,” said Dazzle raising an eyebrow.

“Well the truth was more boring,” said Humble as they trotted over to the barn. “I mean who wants to hear about how I got Slit from my cousins gator sanctuary when he need a certain slit eyed baby alligator to learn how to be friendly to other ponies?”

“Humble!” fake gasped Dazzle.”How could you lie to your niece like that?”

“I wasn’t lying...much, besides all great stories deserve a little embellishment,” Humble said as they went inside the barn to sing happy birthday.

“-Happy birthday to you!” said the crowd of foals and adults to a blushing Pinkie.

“Aww, thanks,” she said before opening a lots of presents.

“Pinkie remember not to make a mess,” said Pinkies father.

“Oooh what’s this?” said Pinkie looking at a box with holes in it signed Pie amphiam farm. signed to Humble Pie for Pinkie Pie.

Opening it Pinkies eyes widen in joy to the sight of a baby alligator with no teeth and a tag on it’s tail saying “Happy birthday dear, meet Slit’s mother’s sister’s son he has no teeth and needs a caring home and you are the right filly for it,” sighed Humble Pie.

“Awww, he’s so cute!” said Pinkie cooing at the alligator. “I’m gonna call him gummy. Thanks unkie  Humble!” Pinkie said before rushing to hug him. Looking at Slit, Humble saw him for a second smile, which is a known fact not easy for a alligator.
