Stumbling Mess

He carried himself like dead weight. Swaying back and forth, almost barely keeping himself balanced. Realization hit him, as did the ground, "I'm drunk, and I've hit rock bottom." Letting out a small laugh from his choice of words, he pulled himself up using the tattered street lamp next to him. Using every sort of object nearby to keep balance, he continued on towards his apartment, wherever that may be. "Dammit... Wow shit" he tripped over himself and fell face first to the ground. He didn't need to reach his apartment as the ground now substituted for his own bed.

"Hey wake up. Hey sir!" Light shined bright as he awoke to a small child looking him directly in the face, a little to closely.

"Nehg to close!" He squealed throwing up what he thought was his arm. His right leg came up instead, kneeing the child in the stomach. She yelped and fell to his side. Now knowing what he had done he turned over quickly while thinking 'not again'. Putting on the best guilty impression he could, he quickly said, "Oh I'm so sorry I'm still dazed and confused about which limbs are which, plus you were really close to me which startled me and don't like waking up to see a face really close to mine." Taking a breathe after saying so much as quickly as he did he continued to help the little girl up, that he now identified her as. She was mad and a little shocked from what just happened.

"Dude that hurt! I think you bruised me." Mentally sighing he responded.

"Do you need to go to the hospital?"

"No."

"Do you want to?"

"Yes."

Slightly set off he regained the small composure he lost and put his arm on her shoulder and said on his creepiest voice. "Hey little kid, did your mom ever tell you not to talk to strangers?" She nodded, which gave him the green light. "Did she ever tell you the story about the little girl who went to the old mans house and was never heard from again?" Looking a little curious and slightly startled she shook her head. "Well, the only thing they ever found that was the girls was a small piece of clothing with some white sticky fluid and blood mixed together. The cops concluded that she was raped and murdered."

Confused the little girl asked, "what's raped." The man wobbled a little then frowned and replied.

"Just get the fuck out of my face. I have a headache as big as Hiroshima and I'm not afraid to slap a certain little girl." Surprised she stuck out her tongue and walked away. Pleased with himself he started walking to his house  only to stop as the world started getting fuzzing and shaking frantically. He stopped and put his weight against a wall, shaking his head hoping for it to go away. It did. Slowly starting to walk again, he made sure he had his possessions, with that done he proceeded to make his way to his house. As he walked he started thinking about what happened yesterday. It was all very weird, mostly for the fact that he could only remember so little. What he did remember made the situation all the more bizarre. "Son-of-a-bitch!" He cursed as he collided face first into the nearest building. Holding his nose he pulled his hand away to see he was bleeding, and quite a lot I might add. Finding the nearest pharmacy he entered and turned to the cashier and shouted. "I just ran into a wall and I need medical equipment!" Startled and and subtlety humored by what he stayed she smiled, pointed towards the left of the store and said.

"Back of the sixth aisle. Try not to hit the shelf." Glaring at her he slowly started making his way toward the aisle. Grabbing smallest med kit, he sat down and ripped it open, then started working on his nose, using a mirror he grabbed from an shelf he past. Checking his work as soon as he finished, he closed up the med kit as he walked up to the counter placed 17 dollars on the counter while walking out the store. The cashier tried to stop him only to receive the finger and a grunt. She cashed the payment and smiled. 'Yeah that was mean what he did, but he still cute.' Pissed he continued down the street and to his house. He tried to think about last night but he didn't want a repeated incident of 20 minutes ago. So instead he tried to withstand the long walk down the sunny street. He would be somewhat able to enjoy it, if it wasn't for the throbbing pain inside his skull; or the fact that he almost broke his nose, which by the way still hurts like hell. Increasing his speed he quickly hurried to his house.

Arriving in 20 minutes he got inside. "Surprise!"

"Fuck Jesus!" He yelled and slammed the door. Taking a moment to recuperate he quickly thought about what day it was. While in the middle of his thoughts he was interrupted by a voice.

"Mike. You OK?" Looking up he saw Jennifer leaning against the door frame with brown country hat on that she so adored.

"Totally I was just have a bombing headache and was completely startled to death. Look I'm pale." Mike exaggerated, holding up is normally skin toned hands.

Smirking and his response she stood up completely held out her hand and said. "Here come inside, sit down and I'll get you some Ibuprofen.

He sighed and as he was about her to grab her hand he quickly remembered something and said, " why weren't any of you worried about me?" Puzzled by the seemingly random question she took a moment then said.

"Excuse me?"

He mildly set off by this he continued, "I woke up five blocks away on Bethany by a little girl!"

Backing from is small outburst she replied, "we all thought you were at Kate's house."

"Kate? I dont fucking know who Kate is, and why the fuck is there a party in my house!" Holding his temple as the pain in his head gets worse, he looks up to see Jenny leaning forward and looking at his nose.

"You okay Mikey? What happen to your nose?" She was about to touch his face when he swatted her hand away and continued his little rant.

"I have no idea who Kate is. I woke up ran into a brick wall nearly broke my nose, I have a headache the size of Hiroshima AND I'm pissed off! So I'm gonna give you one more chance to tell me two things, one: what the hell happened yesterday, and two: why there is a party going on inside my house when you know very well I don't celebrate my birthday, and I don't have any friends besides you, and Paul who is off at college and can't possibly make it down here!" He finished with a dreaded stay and a vain on his forehead that looked like it was about to pop. Jenny then sat down between the door frame. She took a deep breathe then sighed releasing the air, looking up at him she calmly said something he's been dying to hear ever since woke up with that little brat on him.

"You really want to know what's going on?"

"Please!" He looked at her and utterly begged. This was it he was finally about to know what was going on.

"OK there was a party last night over at Night Out and you obviously drank to much, you met a girl, said her name was Kate. Then you up and left and we thought you must've gone to her place, but apparently that isnt what happened."

"No that's a lie I don't go to parties!" Looking shocked Jennifer took a step back, "why do you think I only have two friends you should know I don't like people and you two were the only exception everyone else can just die! Tell me, what's going on, now!" He was holding her shoulders tight and shaking her, trying so hard to get some sort of answer that made sense.

Suddenly there was a green glow from her eyes and a sudden flash of green light. Like that he was on the ground again, out cold.

She stomped the ground and a loud crack erupted from under her hoof. She was frustrated, ever single test they ran said it was a complete failure, there was no way they could control it, every single thing they tried, the body kept resisting. Sitting upon her throne, she yelled out in frustration and pointed to the guard before her, "execute memory wipe, then run another simulation, we have to get this beast under control!" The guard looked at her and bowed before saying.

"Yes Queen Chrysalis." then turned around and went off to do as he was ordered.
