In Ponyville the school yard was full of fillies. The new school year was starting in 15 minutes. Songbird, a blue unicorn with a long blue and bluish turquoise main and light blue eyes hidden behind glasses that match her main, stepped out on the path.
"Bye Mom"
"Are you sure you don't want me to wait?"
"Yea Aris just texted me her and Dela are waiting under our spot"
"Ok have a good day."
Songbird ran off in the direction of the big tree. "ARIS, DELA" she screamed when she saw her two pffs.
"SONGBIRD" they both yelled. The girls ran to hug each other.
Aris a turquoise pegisi has a medium blond length main yellow orange eyes, and always wheres a light mint green head band that matches the highlights in her tail.
Dela a dark violet earth pony with light violet eyes with a short purple main and pink highlights.
"So where is it" asked Songbird.
"Inside you'll see after school" answered Aris.
"and your new back to school dance?" Songbird said turning to Dela.
"Almost ready for the show"
"Grate"
"And the song" Aris asked.
"Done just have to perfect the opening"
"Good" Dela said.
Just then the bell rang, and all the fillies ran inside.
"Everyone please have a seat." Miss. Cheerilee said. The girls sat in the second row of desks. "Now as u all probably know we are having our annul back to school dance this Friday. Our party planing crew with the help of Pinkie Pie are putting it all together."
The students stumped in applause. "Now they will be telling us the theme of the party and the location. So Songbird, Aris, and Dela please come up front."
Songbird, Aris, and Dela got out of there seats in seconds. "You may go when your ready girls" Miss. Cheeriee said softly.
They looked at Songbird waiting for her to start. "So this years theme is a little different. The theme is..." everyone drum rolled.
"NATURE'S HARMONY" the three fillies shouted.
"Basically it's animal themed, just with a fancy title" Songbird said.
"And we will have some real animals thanks to Fluttershy" Aris said.
"We will at the end be having or talent show" Dela said.
"Which this year the winner(s) will receive a prize" Aris said.
"WHATS THE PRIZE" somepony called out.
"Well..." Songbird delayed for dramatic effect.
"3rd place prize will be a month supplies of milkshakes at Sugar Cube Corner" Dela said.
Aris guessed she would announce the 2nd place prize and said, "2nd place prize is a day trip to the Crystal Fair in the Crystal Empire."
"And," Songbird said, "1st place receives a once in a life time opportunity."
"What is that opportunity?!"
"We don't know" the three responded.
"That's right" Miss. Cheeriee said. "The prize is being kept secret in till the final minuet when we announce our winner. As well as that this year there is going to be 2 rounds. One where we eliminate everypony but 5 groups, then the second were we get the finals and 4th and 5th place receive extra credit."
The excitement grew with every word.
"So you may sign up starting tomorrow after school. Good luck everypony."
