Training with the snakes

Previous Chapter

Author's Note

A short chapter for now.

Now, instead of listing the techniques, I am using this chapter to SHOW some of them.

Now remember, I am constantly trying to improve my writing skills.

I am not mad about people telling me how to improve. HOWEVER,

putting this story in groups it DOESN'T belong in to get downvotes is CROSSING THE LINE!

Who put it in the group "F*CK, Overpowered OC parody, and "whiny emo bitches in equestria"

First off, Spike isn't "Emo" like he would have been in in "The Serpent Dragon."

Second off, Spike isn't an OC character!

Third off, I was never on planning on using the "F" word in my story.

Remember, I am not making you read this.

Moving on, I'd like to thank the honest people who favorited this story (and not the ones trying to get downvotes by posting it in the incorrect groups!)

Training with the snakes

(Timeskip: Two months later)

The Ryuchi Caves was filled with snakes of every size, shape, color, and species. Some of the snakes were small constrictors-barely six feet long. Then there were vipers, cobras, mambas, and even sea kraits. The boss summon was a gigantic purple King Cobra named Manda 2-a genetically enhanced copy of the snake's old boss summon-Manda-made after he died. Manda 2, like his namesake, was ruthless and demanded at least 100 sacrifices whenever he was summoned, as he did not like being called away from the Ryuchi caves.

This was not to say all the snakes demanded sacrifices. No many of them were respectful with their summoner and were willing to help without demanding anything but respect and recognition. However, the stronger summons demanded sacrifices for being called away from their home.

Spike had learned about this rather quickly by talking to the snakes, who were rather shocked that their newest summoner was a dragon.

Spike's training was harsh, and he the only times he wasn't training was when he was eating, sleeping, or using the bathroom.

Ever since the White Snake Sage had discovered that Spike had the body based bloodline "Dead Bone Pulse" and Chakra based bloodline "Wood Release", they had been harsh with their training in order to keep their summoner alive.

Spike was currently standing with his newest outfit, a tan long-sleeve shirt that was left open-exposing his chest. He still had the tan shorts that he wore when he left with the snake he rescued. His body had shot up in height and he had grown wings....this was due to his training in harnessing natural energy. Energy from nature itself was rather chaotic and could either help out the users body or-if used incorrectly-turn the user to stone.

There were holes scattered across the sleeves and elbows of his shirt, and sporadically across his shoulders and spine.

Currently, Spike was facing a training dummy with his arms crossed in front of him.

"Dance of the Larch" Spike said as four bone spikes protruded from his forearms and three protruded from his upper arms behind his elbows. Two protruded from the shoulders and his ribs became spikes and protruded from his chest. With that, he jumped at the training dummy and gave a small twirl with the bones slicing through the dummy. He leaped back and the bones receded into his body.

Spike then flipped through three strange symbols with his hands before he called out "Wood Release Secret Technique: Nativity of a world of trees!" From around him, saplings grew out of the ground before they grew larger and longer at impssible rates while moving to the damage dummy and wrapped around it white tightening like a snake wrapping around its prey. Soon, the dummy was shattered and a tree had grown where it once stood.

"Impresssive." A voice hissed as Spike felt a snake slither up his back and a small head rested on his right shoulder.

"And to think I wouldn't know any of this without your offer, Doku". Spike said, rubbing the head of the snake that he had saved from the icy lake.

"It worked out for the both of usss. You became sssstronger, and I went from a lowly sssscout to a persssonal sssummon." Doku hissed out from his spot, warming up from Spike's body heat.

"At this rate, we'll be done with training in only a few more weeks." Spike said.

"All that'ssss left isss to complete ssssage training." Doku said.

Spike nodded, and smiled at the thought of returning home.

"You missss them, don't you?" Doku asked and Spike looked at him with a far away look in his eyes.

"Yes. But...at least I am doing this to help them. With all the things that happen back home, I'm sure that they will need my assistance. Before....I might have only gotten in the way. But now..." Spike said, clenching his fist as he stared at a statue of a dragon, "I'm getting better and better everyday!"

Back in Ponyville, things were rather...different without Twilight's "Number One Assistant" around. The young dragon had become an everyday sight for the citizens and with him gone, it was rather unsettling. A group of four mares were sitting around a table of a cafe in town.

"I mean, can't we just make the snakes give Spike back." A cyan mare said. She had black training pants and a white zip-up hooded jacket with a rainbow thunderbolt on her left sleeve. She also had a rainbow mane and tail.

"They said that Spike would return when he's done working with them." A butterscotch mare with a pink mane and tail said, she wore a green long-sleeve sweatshirt and a long black skirt.

"I know." The cyan mare said, "But I didn't know it would take this long!"

"Well Ah knew that the training being quick was nothing but wishful thinkin'." An orange mare with a blonde mane and tail said, she wore blue jeans and a red-and-white plaid shirt with three apples on the right sleeve, "After all, an orchard doesn't grow in ah day."

"All we can do is be ready to welcome Spike home when his training is done." Twilight Sparkle said to her friends, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, and Fluttershy.

"I'm sure he'll have some interesting stories from the snake's home." Fluttershy said, "and we can tell him about things that happened here when he was gone....and maybe...I can become friends with some of the snakes he met!" She finished with a smile.

Twilight looked uncomfortable with that idea. "Just....keep the snakes away from me."
