Twilight Wakes Up
Previous ChapterBeep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep....
Twilight woke to the repetitive yet comforting sound of a heart monitor. She sat for several minutes listening to the quiet s
ound, and almost drifted off when she thought, Wait, a heart monitor? She opened her eyes and saw a white room with a concerned looking doctor looking at her. Then, the events of yesterday crashed down on her. She remembered how she had tried to stop it, and had just been pulled in. She saw another, brown, pony in the room. She decided to ignore him and pretend she was asleep. But, he noticed her flicking eyes scanning the room, and walked forward. “Are you okay? You seem to be a nasty shade of yellow.” Twilight was surprised. This wasn't like Liam. Normally, he would be stuttering and try to get away. She spoke in a voice that sounded frighteningly like nails scratching across a chalkboard. Out croaked “I'm fine”. Then, she cleared her throat. “What brings you here? I haven't seen you in over a year ever since you, uh, visited!” That was better. His face tinged a bit red. Well, maybe he had gotten over it. He spoke in what she presumed was his normal, nervousness-free voice. “Well, the Princess sent me to make sure there any hard feelings between you girls.” Twilight knew then and there he was lying about something. Maybe he just had gotten better at hiding it. The considerate side then spoke up. ‘You staying anywhere?” She already knew the answer. “No, sadly. I'm leaving later today.” Then, she said something that she never thought she would say. Go ahead and stay with me! Come on, lets meet my friends.” Then, she saw him sweating. Oops. This would be hard for him. She saw his face screaming ‘Oh no....” Well, she would turn it over when he met her friends. She got up and said, “Come on. I’ll tell you where to find my friends.”
After Twilight ushered him out and she signed out, she took a walk. She remembered what the fight was about. Applejack had accused them of....what was it? She couldn't remember it at all... she hoped that Liam wouldn’t make a fool in front of her friends, especially since the wounds of the fight were still fresh. She turned over the memories she had with Liam. The recent events had already rocked her world, but the sudden arrival of the skinny, bespectacled pony had made it lose its balance, and the fact that he would have to quickly make up a huge schism while making 5 friends at once, and the fact he would get stuck in it and probably exhaust himself broke its nose with worry. She walked down into the heart of town. She saw a brownish-black stain on the gravel. Blood. She shivered. It seemed that this scuffle would be haunting her for a little while. She hoped he would succeed at what he had come to do. He was as socially awkward as they come. A memory pushed itself up into her mind. She let herself remnicise back to the old days, the old days back in Canterlot, before he moved to that awfully foggy city on the west coast of Equestria, San Franciscolt.

As she walked into the tower, the young colt bounded in, holding a book that looked much to heavy for him to hold.
