"All right team! That's the last if 'em!" Applejack smiled. She was lucky that her friends had offered to help again this AppleBuck Season, knowing the past fiasco.
"Woo-hoo! Now let's get some rest." Pinkie smiled.
"See ya tommorow, AJ!" the others called as they trotted home for a good night's rest.
Applejack smiled. It was great to know you could count on your friends.
That night, a shadowy figure trotted sneakily into the fields of Sweet Apple Acres. He was careful not to be seen by any night creatures who could blow his cover. He had a mission.
He used his magic to levitate a load of apples off the trees, and picked up a basket of apples and placed it on his back.
Just then, Applejack was woken up by a magical glow from outside of the room.
All she could see of the shadowy figure in the distance was an orange and yellow tail flowing out from under the cloak.
The next morning, Applejack trotted out to the fields for another day of Applebucking. She kicked a nearby tree, expecting the apples to fall to the ground, as usual. However, none fell.
Suddenly, Applejack realized. The pony from last night! He could've stolen the apples. She had to investigate further.
She told each of her friends to come down to Sweet Apple Acres as soon as they could.
"We came as soon as we heard. Although it was kind of hard to give up my studying." Twilight blushed as she trotted in, followed by the other members of the mane 6.
"So what happened? I hope you didn't get hurt!" Fluttershy said.
"All right, ponies. Somepony stole all my apples!" Applejack explained.
"Well, let's go get him!" Rainbow Dash said, preparing to take off.
"Hold up. What did the thief look like?" Twilight asked, grabbing Dash's tail with her magic.
"I don't know, it was the middle of the night, and he was wearing a cloak. I know it was a stallion, and he had orange and yellow hair." Applejack told Twilight.
"We've gotta name him, we can't just call him pony with orange and yellow hair!" Dash complained.
"Ooh ooh I know!" Pinkie shouted, raising her hoof. "He's orange, like Applejack and he's mysterious, so he's a... a....." Pinkie paused in thought.
"A....?" Applejack waited.
"A Mysterious Jack!" Pinkie exclaimed, smiling wildly.
"Great idea, Pink!" Twilight encouraged.
"Okay, let's catch him!" Dash cheered.
The ponies trotted to the Everfree Forest, the first place to search.
"Okay, girls, keep yer eyes out for anypony suspicious." Applejack said, looking around.
"Gotcha, AJ!" Dash saluted, scanning from the sky.
"I hope I don't get my hooves dirty!" Rarity whined.
"It's awfully dark, even if it is the day time." Fluttershy said worriedly.
Just then, a rustle in the bushes made Fluttershy jump.
A snake slithered half way out of the bushes.
"Don't fret, it's just a snake!" Applejack tried to comfort Fluttershy.
But it wasn't just a snake.
The creature crawled out of the bushes. Its goat and tiger heads were revealed.
"It's a.... a Chimera!!!!!" Applejack screamed.
Rainbow Dash launched herself full force at the Chimera, but she slammed against the ground as it dodged her.
"Well, well, look what we have here." the Chimera growled, smiling. "A six-course meal!"
Applejack knew exactly what to do, but the only thing was: she didn't have a flute or anything!
"Let's get her!" Rainbow shouted, charging at the Chimera.
She grabbed the snake head as it struggled under her grip. She tied it to a nearby tree.
"Applejack, your lasso!" Dash yelled.
"Got it!" Applejack shouted, swinging her lasso around.
She roped it around the Chimera, and swung around it, biting the end of the lasso.
She slammed her body against the Chimera, and it passed out from the force of the impact.
"All right!" Dash cheered.
"Yay" Fluttershy smiled.
"Now, we've gotta find that Mysterious Jack guy!" Applejack smiled, as the ponies trotted towards the entrance to the forest.
