Prologue: Advent-Shifting Void
Day 1
East side of Vanhoover, Tundra, Noon
It was a bright and sunny day, the grass was green, the sky was blue and the animals doing what animals do. It was the perfect day and nothing can go wrong, except for the sounds of constant banging and screams of agony.
A pale yellow unicorn with indigo mane up on a tree, was watching the whole thing with terror at the brutal sight he is seeing.
A Blaziken, cornered on a boulder, getting mercilessly Zen Headbutted one at a time by a herd of Tauros, and they aren’t holding back.
It’s been a few minutes since it started, the Blaziken, who is bruised all over his body, especially in the torso, can hardly stand up.
“Enough.” The lead Tauros ordered his herd to stop attacking. “Any last words, smartass.”
The Blaziken chuckled, while slowly standing up. “Yeah.” He tried his best to keep himself standing up, his vision blurry, and his body in constant pain. “Do you go lube or raw when humping your fellow Tauros?” The Blaziken asked, mockingly.
The lead Tauros got really angry, that a vein popped up on his forehead.
“Alright, you asked for it.” The lead Tauros took a few steps back. Then, energy began to swirl around the lead Tauros. “Giga Impact.” Then, he charged at the Blaziken.
Pause
“Hi, my name is Damien and that Blaziken that’s about to be destroyed by a rampaging Tauros, that’s me. For the record, that’s not how I usually look, in fact I’m not a Pokémon. I’m a human who got turned into a Pokémon by some unknown force. Also, I’ve been transported to another world called Equestria. That’s Indigo Spark, the Ponyta look-alike up on that tree. He’s nice. Now you’re probably wondering, how did we get into this mess?”

Day 0
Kanto region, Viridian Forest, 3:00 PM
Damien is walking deep into the forest. The sky is filled with white and puffy clouds and a cool breeze. The forest is full of bug Pokémon like Caterpie, Butterfree, Venomoth, Weedle, Beedrill, etc. It was a beautiful sight yet fearsome if provoked, that’s what nature is about. Exhausted from his training, Pokémon battles and running from the law, Damien collapsed.
“So. Tired. Can’t. Walk. Need. Food. Water. Rest.” Damien said exhaustedly. Then, he took out a pokeball from his backpack.
“Sheldon, come on out!” Damien said.
A Blastoise appeared out of the pokeball.
“Blaaaast” Shelldon shouted.
“Sheldon, could you please carry me to that tree over there. I’m very tired.” Damien pleaded, unable to stand up.
Sheldon nodded and carried Damien to a nearby tree.
“Okay, put me down right over there.” Damien said. Sheldon put Damien down.
“Blaaas, blas blaaaaast.” Sheldon said.
Although Damien can’t understand what Sheldon, or any Pokémon, is saying. He knew in his heart what Sheldon, and the rest of his Pokémon, are trying to say, because they’re best friends, especially Sheldon, since he knew Damien since childhood.
“Don’t worry, I’m okay.” Damien said reassuringly.
“Blaas, blastoise”. Sheldon said, worried about Damien’s health.
“You worry too much. I’m fine. Now, I’m going to bring out everyone so we can eat, you in.” Damien said.
“Blaaast.” Sheldon agreed.
Damien took out five pokeballs from his backpack.
“Everyone, come on out.” Damien said.
A Hawlucha, Roserade, Snubbull, a shiny Zangoose, and Teddiursa appeared from the pokeballs.
The five Pokémon shouted in unison.
“Alright guys, its snack time.” Damien announced.
After a long day of training and battling, everyone became happy at that announcement. Then, Damien took out food from his backpack.
“Okay guys, I don’t got that much food, so we all need to share. That includes you, Angie.” Damien pointed out at the Snubbull.
“Snub.” Angie responded, while crossing her arms and turning her head.
Damien started handing out a few berries and some poketreats to everyone. Then, he took out his sandwich and a bottle of water and began eating with the others.
20 minutes later.
After everyone had finished their meals, they all dispersed to do their own thing. Damien and Shelldon sit back, relax and talk by a tree. Angie and Teddy, the Snubbull and Teddiursa, are hanging out. Flora, the Roserade, is picking up flowers. Ventus, the Hawlucha, is flying in the sky. Taiga, the shiny Zangoose, is meditating by a rosebush.
“Hey, Sheldon. Have you wondered how that couple is doing ever since we helped them escape from the cops and the Pokémon rangers?” Damien asked, full of concern.
“Blast blastoise blast.” Sheldon responded.
“Yeah. It’s been a month and I can’t stop thinking about them. I hope they’re okay.” Damien said while thinking about them.
“Blast blast-”. Sheldon was cut off when a crying Teddiursa was running towards them.
“What’s wrong, Teddy.” Damien asked. Then, he saw that Teddy had a bump with a small cut on his head. “What happened to your head?”
“Teddi teddiursa teddi.” Teddy said while crying and pointing at Angie.
“Not again. That’s the fourth time this week.” Damien said while putting his hand on his forehead.
Then, Damien walked over to Angie.
“Angie, why do you keep headbutting Teddy?” Damien questioned.
“Snuuub snubbull.” Angie replied deceivingly.
“Why are you lying? You’re the only Pokémon that can use Headbutt.” Damien pointed out, frustrated with Angie’s excuses and lies. “Look, I don’t know what your problem with Teddy is, but this has got to stop. Apologize to Teddy, NOW!” Damien said, furiously.
“Snubbull snub.” Angie apologized to Teddy.
“Teddi.” Teddy sniffled.
“This better be the last time you do this. Understand.” Damien warned Angie.
“Snub.” Angie replied.
“Good. Now, carry on.” Damien walked to his backpack and took out an antibiotic spray and a band-aid.
“Alright, Teddy. Let’s get you patched up.” Damien sat down next to Teddy.
Damien began to treat Teddy. “I’m going to spray you with this, it’s going to hurt.” Damien showed Teddy the spray and began to spray on the wound.
“Teddi ted.” Teddy began to cry a little.
Damien put on the band-aid on Teddy’s wound.
“All done.” Damien finished treating Teddy.
“You feel better now?” Damien asked.
“Teddi.” Teddy hugged Damien, feeling all better.
“Okay, okay. Now, go do something.” Damien said.
“Teddiursa.” Teddy said, while putting his paw on his forehead like a soldier. Then he went to Flora, helping her picking up flowers.
Damien went to his backpack to his stuff away, but stopped halfway when he heard a sound of something falling from the sky. He looked up and saw Ventus falling from the sky and it was coming at him, fast. In an instant, Taiga felt his master in danger, ran really fast towards him and shoved Damien to safety, right before Ventus crashed into the ground, hard.
Everyone heard the crash and went towards to Damien.
“Zangoose zan.” Taiga asked, making sure Damien is okay.
I’m fine, but more importantly, is Ventus okay? Damien asked, worriedly.
Everyone went towards to Ventus. The Hawlucha is okay, but he is bruised all over his body.
Ventus, are you okay?” Damien asked.
“Hawlucha.” Ventus responded, feeling okay.
“What happened?” Damien asked, wanting to know what happened.
The Hawlucha pointed upwards to the sky.
Damien and the rest saw where Ventus was pointing at. Immediately, everyone’s face went too worried to dread, as a huge flock of Spearow is coming their way, fast, and from the looks of their faces, they are mad, really mad. Here’s a Pokémon trivia for you; the Spearow are territorial Pokémon who attack anyone who come across their territory, which Damien didn’t know. If you are in their territory, you are screwed, unless you have some strong Pokémon with you, which Damien has.
Damien saw this and went to commando mode, angry at the flock. “Flora, take Ventus to a safe place. Angie and Teddy, stay with Flora and do not leave her side. Sheldon and Taiga, let’s do this.”
The Snubbull was about to say something but was cut off by Damien. “NO WAY. You’re not ready for this kind of battle.” As if he knew what Angie was about to say.
“Snub.” Angie responded, disapprovingly, but had no choice but to listen.
Everyone did what Damien ordered them to do. Then, Damien picked up a stick and stood on top of a rock, pointing at the flock of Spearow.
“How dare they do that? For I'am mad as hell. They messed with one of our dear friends and we’re not going to tolerate that, are we? NO! Now let’s take them down with the good old fashion divide and conquer strategy.” Damien pointed at the Blastoise. “Sheldon, use Water Pulse, disperse or hit them, whichever you like.” Then, he pointed to the shiny Zangoose. “Taiga, once they are dispersed or hit, finish them with Ice Beam. Now, ATTACK!” Damien shouted.
Sheldon attacked first, dispersing the flock of Spearow with his Water Pulse, sometimes even hit them. Then, Taiga finished them with his Ice Beam, freezing them in place and falling to the ground. The plan is working like a charm. How you ask? After years of reading comic books, watching a lot movies, playing video games, battling lots of trainers and real world experience, Damien had developed a knack of analyzing, strategizing and anticipation.
Sheldon uses Water Pulse, a move that can confuse their target, if hit many times, to either confuse or disperse their target. Even if the Spearow dodges it or not, Taiga finishes them off with his Ice Beam, which Ice beats Flying. It’s a solid plan. However, there’s only one problem, which Damien noticed: the numbers. There are two Pokémon vs a huge flock of Spearow. There are like a hundred of them, possibly more. It’s only a matter of time before Sheldon and Taiga use up all of their energy. Once they do, the flock will have a chance to attack.
“Oh man, there’s too many of them. I don’t think we can keep this up.” Damien thought. He saw that Taiga is getting tired. Then, he noticed a Spearow trying to attack Taiga from behind. “Taiga, behind you.” Damien shouted. Taiga turned around and used his Ice Beam at the Spearow, freezing him. “Whoa, that was close one. We need to finish this battle as soon as possible.” Damien thought hard, trying to figure out a way to get out of this mess, but can’t think of any. “What are we going to do? There’s no end of them. Calm down. Think. There has to be a way.”
Then, something has started to happen. Damien could feel it. It’s as if he’s fading into nothingness. Then, he heard a voice in his mind. It was majestic and god-like. “Rest now my children, for when you awake in a whole new world shall be your home.” Then, everything went dark.
Day 1
East side of Vanhoover, forest, dawn
The sun began to rise up as Indigo Spark, a pale blue unicorn with indigo mane, is walking in the forest. His eyes are light yellow. His cutie mark is a four-pointed white star. He is carrying a cream-colored saddlebag. His horn glowed as he levitated a book and binoculars from his saddlebag. The book is called ‘Birds of Equestria. A Bird Guide Book.’ The unicorn stopped and saw a bird that he hasn’t seen before. It was some sort of red penguin with a white tail that resembles a bag. Its face and chest are covered in white feathers with two, three-pointed crests above its eyes. It has black markings surround its circular eyes, and it has a light yellow beak and feet. There is a single white spot on its stomach. Its feet have two digits each. “Strange, what’s a penguin doing in a forest?” The unicorn wondered.
The unicorn hid behind a tree and began to watch it carefully with his binoculars. “What kind of penguin is that? I’ve never seen it before.” The unicorn thought as he opened his book and looked for a penguin matching the one he is seeing. “Let’s see. No. No. No. No. Nothing.” The unicorn stealthy moved closer to the unknown penguin. “Steady and quiet. Steady and quiet. Steady and quiet.” The unicorn unknowingly stepped on a twig, which made a cracking sound. The unknown penguin heard the crack and flew away. “No. Wait. Don’t go.” He ran towards it, not letting the penguin out of sight. “Since when does a penguin fly?” A few seconds later, the unicorn tripped, face first in to the ground. The unicorn looked to see what tripped him. At the same time, a xylophonic sound is made. The unicorn got up and was surprised to see a bug before him. Its body is red with a streak down its front and black cape-like marking on its back. Its head is encircled with a flat, white structure similar to a collar. Two hard, black antennae with curled tips are connected to the head by a dark red segment. A similar dark red segment forms its nose, and it has small, black hands and feet.
“Kricketot.” The bug beginning to getting up.
“Oh my god. I’m so sorry. Are you okay?” The unicorn rushed towards it.
The bug nodded.
“Oh thank Celestia.” Indigo Spark said in relief.
“Kricketot kri.” The bug said.
“What? Could you repeat that?” Indigo Spark asked.
“Kricketot kri” The bug repeated.
“Kricketot? What’s that? Also, what are you? I haven’t seen a bug like you, not even in books.” Indigo Spark asked.
“Kricketot kri kricketot kri.” The bug said.
“You can only say Kricketot.”
The bug nodded.
“Don’t worry. I learned a translation spell a few weeks ago. I haven’t tried it yet, but I’ll give it a try.” Indigo Spark said.
The pale blue unicorn’s horn glowed as he shoot a small beam of magic towards it the bug. A magic aura surrounded the bug until it faded away.
“Finished. I should be able to understand you. Try talking.” Indigo Spark said.
“Did it worked?” The bug said in a childish voice.
“Yes! It worked. I can understand you. I knew learning this spell wasn’t a waste of time.” Indigo Spark said, proudly. “So, what were you trying to say?”
“Where am I? What’s going on? What kind of Ponyta are you?” The bug asked, fear in his eyes.
“Calm down, little fella. Let’s take a breather. Inhale.” The unicorn and the bug inhaled lots of fresh air before both exhaling. “Exhale. Feeling better?”
“Yes.” The bug replied shyly.
“Okay. Why don’t we eat while you tell your story? I have sandwiches. How does that sound?” Indigo Spark said.
“Okay.” He replied shyly.
“Great. I know a great spot to eat.”
Elsewhere
As the sun rose from the horizon, Damien woke up as sunlight hit him in the face. He tried to block it with his hand, but then he noticed something weird. “Why does my hand have three fingers? Oh well.” He thought, while trying to go back to sleep. “Wait? What.” Damien’s eyes shot wide open, sitting up and looking at his own hands. “My hands, what happened to them?” They were gray, with three fingers. His wrist have gray wristband-like markings. He also noticed his legs, which he began to touch them. ”My legs.” His legs were pillar-shaped with red and yellow feathers. His feet have three clawed toes. Then, he touched all over his body. His body felt slim and feathery. Then, he proceeded to touch his face. He felt some sort of V-shaped crest on his forehead. Then, he didn’t felt his lips but instead felt something solid, smooth and had a hook in his mouth, like a beak. His hair was replaced with beige feathers that go downward to his chest and back.
Damien started to panic. “What’s going on? I need a mirror.” Damien looked for something with a reflective surface. Then he noticed a puddle. He crawled to the puddle and what he saw in the reflection, shocked him greatly.
“Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” He screamed out loud.
“I’m a Blaziken. How is this possible? This is just a dream, a crazy dream.” Damien began to laugh nervously. “No problem. I’ll just wake myself up.” He closed his eyes for a few seconds before opening them. “Still dreaming.” He closed his eyes again for a few more seconds before opening them. “Still dreaming.” He closed his eyes again for a few minutes before opening them. “This is not working. How about I just pinch myself.” He started to pinch himself in his slender arm. “Ow!” He shouted. “Still dreaming.” He pinched again, this time harder. “Ow!” He shouted, a bit louder. He pinched again, this time a lot harder than the last time. “Owwwww!!!!!” Then, he fell down to the floor, arms wide.
“Okay. This is not a dream.” Damien said, accepting the reality of the situation.
Then, Damien heard something behind the bushes. It was big and loud. He stood up and dived to a nearby bush. He watched carefully to see what’s gonna come out. His heart was beating fast and his legs shaking in fear. The sound is getting louder, that means it’s getting closer. He could see the silhouette. However, that silhouette felt familiar. He didn’t know why, but he got his answer when it came out of the bushes. It was Sheldon.
“Oh. What a relief.” Damien said, while putting his hand in his chest in relief
Immediately, Damien got out of the bush and went straight to Sheldon.
“Hey, Sheldon.” He greeted.
“How do you know my name? Who are you?” Sheldon questioned.
“It’s me…Wait a minute. Did you just speak and I understood you?” Damien surprised.
“Yeah, obviously. Now answer my question.” Sheldon demanded.
“It’s me, Damien.” He answered.
“Yeah, right. Last time I checked, Damien is a human, not a Blaziken.” The Blastoise clarified.
“No, I’m serious. I just woke up like this. Honest.” Damien tried to convince him.
“Uh huh.” Sheldon being skeptical, thinking that the Blaziken is crazy. “I’m just gonna go now.” He decided to turn around and walk away.
“No, wait.” Damien ran in front of him, blocking his path.
“Dude, get out of my way.” Sheldon demanded.
“Please. You’ve got to believe me.” Damien begged, as he stepped closer.
“Back off or I’ll punch you.” Sheldon’s fist started to glow.
“Whoa. Calm down.” Damien tried to calm Sheldon down.
“I’m not fooling around. Back off.” Sheldon urged.
“Listen to me for a second.” Damien begged.
“I mean it.” Sheldon prepared to attack.
Damien knew that begging won’t work on an impatient Blastoise with his Mega Punch ready. So, he tried another approach.
“I’ll prove to you I’m Damien.” He said.
Sheldon’s fist powered down as he considered his idea. “You’ve got a few seconds to convince. Go.”
“My full name is Damien Montez. I was born in Viridian City. My favorite color is violet. You were my first Pokémon. Also, I know you’re a Crasher Wake fan and that you flex your muscles in front of a mirror, imitating him.” He said, while smiling.
Sheldon was shocked what he had heard, especially that last part. Nobody knew that, except Damien. “Holy crap! Damien, is that you?”
“Yes. That’s what I’m trying to tell you.”
“You’re a Blaziken. How?”
“I told you. I just woke up like this and then, I understood every word you just said.” Damien explained.
“Well yeah, we’re Pokémon, so it’s natural to understand each other.”
“That’s so cool.”
“Yeah.” Sheldon started to poke him “I can’t believe it. You`re actually a Blaziken. Is this a dream? If it is, it’s quite realistic.”
“Nope. I double checked.” Damien slapped Sheldon’s hand. “Stop that.”
“Sorry.” Sheldon apologized. “You’re just so soft and feathery.”
“Not helping.” Damien glared.
“Where are we anyway? Last time I remembered, we were fighting that huge flock of Spearow.” Sheldon wondered.
Damien looked around his surroundings and noticed a few things. “Judging from the coniferous trees, snow and cold temperature. I’d say we’re in the north.” Damien deduced.
“North of where?” Sheldon asked.
“I have no idea.”
Then, Sheldon realized something, much more important than their unknown location and the fact that Damien is a Blaziken. “Wait a minute. Where’s everyone?”
“Oh man. We were so busy dealing with this.” Damien pointed to himself. “That we completely forgot our friends.”
“Taiga! Flora! Ventus! Angie! Teddy! Anyone!” Damien called out loud, hoping for a response.
“I wonder if they’re-.” Sheldon was cut off by a xylophonic sound.
“Did you hear that? What was that?” Damien wondered.
“I don’t know, but it came from over there.” Sheldon pointed to the source of the sound.
“Let’s go. Maybe there’s a clue to this situation.” Damien said.
Damien and Sheldon started running towards the source of the sound. In their heads lies curiosity and impatience as they passed a bunch of trees and bushes. As the minutes passed by, they noticed a bunch of Pokémon sleeping and some of them starting to wake up. Damien looked back and saw Sheldon trying to keep up. Sheldon is the tank of the gang. Meaning he hits hard and durable, but at the same time, slow and not agile. Seeing this, the Blaziken speed up, leaving the Blastoise behind.
“Hey Sheldon, I’m gonna go ahead.”
“Wait. Don’t leave behind.” Sheldon said.
Damien did not hear the Blastoise’s words as he began to run faster and further. The Blaziken could see something tall and pink close by. He ran faster, passing by a bush until stopping completely. What he saw made his jaw or beak drop, metaphorically. It was a big cherry blossom tree on a small hill. Its petals gently falling down as a light breeze makes them dance in mid-air. It was a display of raw beauty. A wonder of nature. The Blaziken stood there completely still, admiring its beauty and perfection. He couldn’t even say one word.
A few seconds later Sheldon arrived. He was all sweaty, tired and pissed off.
“You dick. I can’t believe you left me behind.” Sheldon said, while panting.
“Sheldon.”
“You know I’m not that fast.”
“Sheldon.”
“Why the hell would you ditch me?” Sheldon said, full of anger.
“SHELDON!” Damien shouted, getting the Blastoise’s attention.
“What?”
“Look.” Damien pointed to the cherry blossom tree.
“Whoa!” That was all the Blastoise could say as his anger left his body. He was amazed to such a gorgeous scene.
“Beautiful, isn’t it? Come on, let’s check it out.” Damien ran towards the tree.
“Wait up.” Sheldon said, as he ran behind Damien.
They went up the hill and into the base of the tree.
“Have you ever witnessed this kind of beauty?” Damien asked, awes trucked.
“Not in my entire life. You?” Sheldon replied, awes trucked.
“Me neither.”
Then, they noticed a Kricketot behind the tree. The Kricketot was surprised to see a Blaziken and a Blastoise. Damien knelt down to greet the little Bug-Type.
“Hello. Where did you come from?” Damien greeted, with a gentle smile.
The Kricketot didn’t say a word.
“What’s wrong with him?” Sheldon asked.
“He’s just shy.” Damien replied. “You have nothing to worry about. We won’t hurt you.” He gently extended his hand towards the Kricketot.
The Kricketot got scared and shot Damien in the face with String Shot.
“Aaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! YOU BASTARD!” Damien screamed, as his face was wrapped in silky string
Sheldon saw the whole thing and started to LOL. In other words, laugh out loud.
“NOT FUNNY!” Damien said, trying to get the string out of his face.
“You’re right, it’s not funny. It’s hilarious.” Sheldon laughed some more.
“GET THIS THING OFF OF MY FACE!” Damien struggling to take out the string.
“Okay. Hold still.” Sheldon used his strength (not the move) to rip out the string.
Damien gasped as he is free from the string.
“All right. Where is that little prick? I’m gonna kick his ass.” Damien was angry, like a Tauros or a Salamence.
“Whoa. Calm down. Don’t you think you’re overreacting? He is just a kid.” Sheldon tried to calm the enraged Blaziken.
“Overreacting? He shot me in the face.”
“Maybe he was scared?” Sheldon stated.
“I guess so.” Damien calmed down
Then, Indigo Spark appeared right next to the Kricketot. “I heard screaming. What’s going on?”
The unicorn’s eyes went wide as he saw two mysterious creatures. To him, one of them looks like a tall chicken and the other a giant turtle with cannons on its back.
They were surprised to see a multi-colored Ponyta with a horn.
As everyone stared at each other, Damien could only say this. “THE FUCK IS THAT?”
