The Case Diaries of Detective Quizzical
September 2014 Mayflower Case:
It was just a normal day, minutes passing by like hours till I heard a knock on my office door and my secretary, Anya popped her head in
"Detective Quizzical, Ma'am, I have a mare here that says she knows you"
I sit up straight in my chair and I straighten the piles of paper and case files on my desk and say "Let her in..." And she nods and calls the mare over to my office.
The mare looked as if she was in her early 30's and had a long brown mane and a pale grey coat, she sat in the chair in front of my desk and I nod at Anya to leave and in the most professional voice I say
"Now Miss-" she cuts me off
"Mayflower" she says
"Miss Mayflower, I was told by my secretary that you know me?" I ask and she starts to stutter
"Er Yeah....I was figuring you could help me...." She looks down and I get up and bend down in front of her
"Of course Miss, With what?" I see tears slipping from her eyes
"Q-quizzical..." she stutters
"Yes?" I say cautiously
"M-My husband and son were murdered!" She bursts into tears and I back up a bit thinking 'What the hell happened to this mare?!'
"Miss Mayflower, calm down tell me all of what happened and I can try to help you!" I go back over to her to calm her down and she looks up at me
"I need a few minutes...please" she mumbles still crying 'Again what!?'
"Okay can I take you to a interrogation room?"
I ask and she just nods and I call for Anya and she takes Mayflower to the main interrogation room and walks over to where i sat in front of the interrogation room
"What happened?" She asks
"I don't know she just asked for my help, I said yes, she starts crying, tells me her husband and son were murdered, bursts into tears , and she asked to be alone for awhile"
Anya looks worried
"She looks like more happened then just that, Quiz..."
I sigh "Anya...she didn't tell me anything I can go off no information to find her husband and sons killer with no clues..."
Anya looks at Mayflower crying in her hoofs inside the interrogation room
"Still Quiz, she is really shaken"
I don't say nothing I just get a eyewitness form and I go give it to Mayflower
"Now just fill this out with everything you know about the suspect and what happened"
she nods
I give her a quill and she starts writing and I walk out, grab my things from my office.
"Where the hell are you going?!"
Anya yells to me as I walk out and I tell her to wait till Mayflower is done and put the form on my desk and escort her to a safe place to stay till I return tomorrow.
That night I couldn't sleep.
