A man, the first Doctor, stands in front of a stash of TARDISes choosing one to steal. A woman appeared.
"Pick this one, it has a broken navigation system, but it will be more fun." She told The Doctor. So The Doctor pulled Susan out of the TARDIS she had walked into, and chose the one pointed out by the unknown woman.****************************************************************************************************************************************************** A man, the last of the Time-Lords, stands outside in a cold and rainy day. England, 1963. He is waiting for his granddaughter to return from Earth school so he can teach her the flaws in human science and understanding.****************************************************************************************************************************************************** Explosion after explosion struck. The War Doctor fought hard against the Dalek invasion. He would pilot his TARDIS into battle and, using his new sonic screwdriver, destroy the enemies. He was not happy about his fate, but there was nothing else he could do. Sometimes he would leave messages behind, sometimes he would let himself be known. He fought for women, children, Time-Lords alike, he didn't care they banished him. The past is the past. Now, he just wanted his life back. His quiet, peaceful life. He fought Dalek after Dalek, side-by-side he stood with the Time-Lords. "Gallifrey stands!"****************************************************************************************************************************************************** The Doctor knew he couldn’t defeat the Time Demon. Not on his own. He needed some help, and he needed it now, but there was no one in all of time and space who could help him. Except maybe himself. He knew what he had to do. He also knew it was a bad idea and could cost a lot more than he was willing to pay. Clicking his fingers he ran into the TARDIS and right up to the control console. Flipping switches, pulling levers he was going to overwrite his own time line and summon himself to this very moment using the time vortex.*VWORP VWORP VWORP* went the usual sound his TARDIS. Into the Time-Vortex he went, preparing to meet himself. “You see Susan, this is why…” The voice of the oldest Doctor met the 14th Doctor as the first Doctor appeared inside his TARDIS. “Now where have you put us young man? I command that you take us back at once!”
“I can explain, just give me time to meet the rest of the Doctors.” Instead of them appearing though, it seemed he wrote his own downfall as they had prepared for this encounter and teleport-proofed their own TARDISes. Now there were 11 TARIDSes circling around his all calling through the transmitter.
"Hmm, gotten ourselves a little overwhelmed have we?" Asked the first Doctor. "I know what I am doing. I just need a little more time to explain. All of those Doctors out there no what is happening so I just need you to understand. When I, you, stole the TARDIS it ripped a hole in time and space and released a demon. He calls himself the Time Demon." "You, my young man, are insane. I am The Doctor, you are clearly an imposter." The first Doctor responded. The Doctor had forgotten how he used to brush off what everyone else said and count only himself as correct. Well, besides his granddaughter. "For starters, my TARDIS is a lot less decorative than this. I have a granddaughter who I travel with everywhere. Where is she if you are The Doctor." "I would tell you but it would break the rules. I cannot tell you what is going to happen, only what has happened. This Time Demon is rewriting history and I need your help, as well as all future incarnations. Together we can retrap him where he will never be released." "Never, I will never help in such a dilusional plan." "You have to!" Suddenly the TARDIS rocked. "You foolish Doctors. Arguing will never destroy me, and never save time." A deep voice boomed through the TARDIS, almost as if it were right there with them. The TARDIS rocked again and left the Time-Vortex. Back in real space The Doctor looked thorugh the moniter and then checked the coordinates. "No, no no no no no! This is not possible!" The voice of the 9th Doctor came over the communicater. "I'm sorry, so sorry." The 10th Doctor said. "What is it then 'Doctor', what have you caused?" The First Doctor asked mockingly. "If you would please listen to me this one time..." "Someone needs to learn some manners, Doctor. Allow me to explain and hope it goes through your thick skull. I have taken over the Time-Vortex. It would be unwise to travel through it. Maybe even, lethal." He hung onto the word 'lethal' a bit longer than The Doctor liked. "Now that I finally have your full attention, I would like to say, 'Doctor', thank you for making my life easier by calling every single one of you here where I can erase you from time and space." "No! We will stop you," the 10th Doctor retorted. "If there is one thing you never do, it is put 14 Doctors in a trap." The 11th Doctor stated. "Well then, I guess you do need my help, but what can I do? Without the technology to make a weapon, what use am I?" The First Doctor finally gave in and decided that everything this Doctor said must be true. He just needed some way to assist. "I need you to remember this conversation and everything that has happened." The Doctor Responded. "That is all?" "Plenty for you. Now then," he started to all of the other Doctors, "I need all of you to fly your TARDISes around this centre and through the hole in time I am going to make with my own TARDIS." "What is with this anyway? You all seem so concerned about something but what?" "Look at the console." "I can't possibly read that. It is more complicated than what I am used to." "Just look at the dials, they haven't changed too terribly much." The First Doctor walked over and looked at the dials that were indicating many things. "Oh! This, this is impossible. There should be a planet here, but, there is nothing! Literally every star, every planet is gone!" "Exactly. Can you tell which planet?" "Gallifrey!" "If my calculations are correct, and I made these calculations with the Third Doctor, then if we open a Time-Vortex hole right where the crack happened, it will allow us to travel straight to when the Time Demon is." After double checking the calculations, he started pulling things, pressing buttons, twisting knobs, and most of all running around piloting the TARDIS on his own." "Maybe I could help, I do know how to pilot a TARDIS." "No, you don't. If you did this never would have happened. Also, this TARDIS is more complex than any TARDIS previously used by me." "I think I am starting to understand the way it works now." "Well then, be my guest." "Susan, come over here. Press this button and hold it for 10 seconds, then release and twist this knob clockwise 2 times." The First Doctor stood in a single spot and expertly piloted the TARDIS into perfect position without a single shake. "Alright Susan, now, press the three green buttons and then the blue one." The Doctor was perplexed at how well his past self was piloting, even better than himself. He continues pressing buttons and doing stuff until a portal appeared in the centre of where gallifrey was meant to be. "Alright Doctors, now pilot into the Time-Voretex." "Alons-y!" "Geronimo!" "Gallifrey stands!" He didn't realise this trap was set for him. "Now Doctor, let's see what happens if I rewrite you," the Time Demon said to himself. Upon entering the Time Vortex the First Doctor disappeared back to his time and all of the other TARDISes disappeared. The Doctor assumed this was what needed to happen but didn't expect that the Time Demon had erased them and set the Time-Vortex to attack the last of the Time-Lords. A Time-Vortex bolt hit the TARIDIS and set it rocking out of control. "NO! I have come too far to fail here. I know what must happen. I can do this!" The Doctor piloted through and worked desperately to get to the time he was looking for. "Now Doctor, do you know what happens when a TARDIS flies through the Time-Vortex wall?" The Time Demon asked. His plan was almost complete. If he could throw The Doctor out of the Time-Vortex wall it would erase him from this reality, and send him to the Time Demon's reality. "It is impossible to fly through the wall of the Time-Vortex." The Doctor retorted. The Doctor's TARDIS was struck once more by a Time-Vortex bolt. His TARDIS rocked back in forth as he struggled to maintain control. Strike after strike his the TARDIS until he fell from the TARDIS control console. The strike was caused by something The Doctor was trying to investigate, something evil, something that wanted to stay hidden. It threatened the very existence of time itself. All of humanity would be wiped out, and it was up to the last Time-Lord to stop it. In his 14th form he was getting old, but looking younger. He had defeated countless Daleks, saved the Earth too many times, and had been banished by the Time-Lord council. 1000+ years old, he was still able to fight back monsters and saved time and space, but this time, it seemed he was not ready for his enemy. He wasn't entirely certain what it was he was facing, but it was fast, strong,, and always one step ahead. It could somehow manipulate time itself. It had outsmarted The Doctor countless times and it was time he defeated it. Something he had been chasing all 14 regenerations. To defeat it he tried uniting all 14 generations, but it failed. Now he was running, like he always does. He was now prepared to sacrifice himself to save the universe. But first he had to travel back in time and stop himself from releasing the creature. It wasn't entirely his fault, well, that is what he kept telling himself. It could have been any other Time-Lord. It just so happened his stealing the TARDIS initiated this whole thing. If he hadn't listened to that mystery girl and had, instead, stolen a newer model, this never would have happened. Using his stolen TARDIS ripped a hole in Time and Space, mostly due to his lack of knowledge on flying TARDISes, that hit the prison of a great time demon, who went out and started rewriting time. This, plus the hole in time and space, followed him his entire life but never came up until the eleventh hour, in his eleventh form, in which a prisoner escaped and caused all hell on Earth. The crack then followed him everywhere. Now the beast has struck and The Doctor cannot beat it, only run. Not realising, this was his doom. He tried to regain his balance but that was no easy task as the Time-Vortex was fighting back and winning. He tumbled back and forth, side to side, fighting to grasp something, anything. His TARDIS out of control, it spun through a wall jarring the entire thing and finally crashing down on solid ground. The force of the impact was great due to the TARDIS crashing through the walls of the Time-Vortex. The effect was unpredictable, such a thing as breaking through time itself was unheard of, impossible. The effect was a whole new universe, a whole new Doctor. The Doctor awoke. "I... am... ALIVE!" He burst out, laughing. Feeling odd, he thought to himself, What the bloody hell happened? He stood up and assessed the damage. Now how am I going to fix this? This is a disaster! Opening the doors to his TARDIS, he stepped outside.Where am I? What is this place? He pondered. Looking around, he noticed the busy streets and many shops. A small village it seemed. A small building at the edge of a lowly street struck him more than any other. He walked over to the boutique of Rarity. **DING** rang the bell attached to the door. "Give me just a minute and I will be right there," came a voice The Doctor knew not. Must be the owner he thought to himself. A white unicorn with three gems on her flank and beautiful purple hair walked forwards. "How may I help you today sir?" She asked. "It seems my... transport has... er... Crashed, into your fair town. I need someplace to stay and maybe someone to show me around." He responded. "I have a good friend Twilight Sparkle who can assist you. She lives in the library over there," The white pony replied pointing at an odd shaped tree with windows and a door carved into it. "Thank you miss..." "Rarity." "Rarity. Thank you." "Anything for a curious pony." That statement struck The Doctor odd but he couldn't figure it out. Forgetting about it, he walked to the library to meet this, Twilight Sparkle. He approached the door and knocked. "Who is it?" Came the voice of the caretaker, Twilight Sparkle. "Just a wanderer passing through, in need of assistance." "Oh okay then, come on in." She opened the door and allowed The Doctor in. He entered the library and looked around in awe of the collection of the library. Not quite as expansive as his own, but still quite impressive. "I know most of the ponies in this town, but you are new, as you said. May I ask, who are you?" "I am The Doctor." Came his usual response. "Doctor who?"
“Just, The Doctor,” he responded, noting his voice. It sounded older than he remembered. Then again, he couldn’t remember much. He sounded somewhere in his 60s. Thinking about it, he decided it was time to see what he looked like.
“Do you have a mirror?” He asked Twilight in an urgent voice.“Of course. There is one in the bathroom." She responded, utterly perplexed as to what this colt's problem was.He walked to the bathroom and stared at himself in shock. 'I am old... Wait a minute.' He looked at his flank and there on it sat the Time-Vortex cutie mark he had earned on his first trip through... 'Wait, why do I feel this is wrong? Why am I so confused?'Looking again at his reflection he noticed he was gray. A very light gray, with white hair. He was wearing an old suit, black with a black bowtie on top of a white shirt. He always wore this. Well, not always but... He couldn't remember.Walking out of the bathroom, lost in thought, he bumped into Twilight while she was carrying books."So sorry my dear," he told her, helping her pick up the books now scattered everywhere.Vaguely, somewhere in his mind, a memory arose."My granddaughter!" He yelled out suddenly, causing Twilight to drop her books from being startled."Who?" She asked, totally perplexed."My granddaughter, Susan! Where is she? She should be with me!" He shouted out, then realised. "Wait a moment, I don't have a granddaughter... I don't have a family. I do not even have a companion." He sat down, suddenly lost in thought. His thoughts were jumbled, confused. He had lived in Equestria his whole life, and yet these random noticings. 'Nothing has changed' he told himself."Companion?" Came the confused voice of the purple pony. It startled The Doctor as he was lost in thought."Yes, someone who travels with me. We go on adventures and find ourselves lost in time." He responded wistfully. He remembered finding his TARDIS hidden away in the Everfree Forest..."Wait a second! No, this cannot be right," he exclaimed."What? What's wrong?""My transport it crashed across the street. Perhaps it has the answers I am looking for."He exited the library and walked down the road and to where his TARDIS crashed. Startled, he looked around."Now where could that have gone?" He asked out loud with his hooves parting his suit jacket. "What exactly does this 'transport' of yours look like anyway? So far you have told me nothing except you are some sort of 'doctor' and you crashed it in the street." Twilight said, knowing she would be of no help unless she knew what she was looking for."Like a blue box. It has a light on top and windows. I am not certain what it is supposed to be but it has never changed since I found it in the Everfree forest." The Doctor responded. "You found it in the Everfree forest? What was an old pony such as yourself doing there?" Twilight asked bewildered."I heard a whoosh sound coming from within. Sort of like a vworp. I ran in to investigate because that is what I do. I found it there, waiting for me. It's doors opened automatically and I walked inside," The Doctor explained. The two ponies found themselves walking through the streets and straight into Rarity's boutique. They hadn't realised they made it that far or even they were walking."You walked into a box? This sounds ridiculous!" Twilight exclaimed. Suddenly she stopped walking and looked up. "Well, what do you know? We walked all the way to Rarity's place.""Twilight, come in. I hadn't expected to see you for a while, I have been so busy making dresses I haven't had a chance to talk to you in a few days. Who is that colt with you?" Rarity added, noticing The Doctor. "Wait a minute, I remember you. You are that pony who came inside and was talking all funny. Strange, you seem a little different. Anyway, did you need something? A new suit would fit you just fabulously!""No thanks. I am simply here with princess Twilight. We are looking for a blue box." The doctor responded. "You met Rarity? Why didn't you say so?" Twilight asked. "Priorities Twilight. A blue box? I have plenty of those lying around. I could practically open a shop with boxes!" Rarity explained. "This blue box is something special. I was wondering if you knew where it is? I... er... left it in the street and it seems to have vanished." The Doctor replied. "Oh. Well then. It was a pleasure to meet you once more Mr...""Please, just call me Doctor.""Oh ok then, Doctor. I really don't know what happened to your box. Maybe Applejack knows. She is usually on top of things. I however have a really big order to fill.""Thank you Rarity." Twilight thanked Rarity and walked out of the shop with The Doctor. "I guess we should go to Applejack and see what she knows."The Doctor walks down the path to the right while Twilight headed forwards. "Doctor, it's faster this way," she called out."Hmm, you young ponies always think yourselves smarter than us more experienced ponies," The Doctor said to himself. He turned around and started walking towards Twilight."Have you ever had an Apple Acres apple?""Of course I have! Who do you think I am?”“Uhh… The Doctor?”“Hmm… yes. Now lead me to this Applejack.”Twilight shrugged and continued down the dirt path, intent on figuring out this peculiar pony."So how did you get here?"The Doctor stopped and had a distant look in his eyes as he thought deeply. He replied, “By a magnificent contraption made of steel and sweat, the smell of coal burning in your lungs...”Twilight stared at him with a deadpan expression. “The train?”“The tra- why yes! How did you know?”Twilight’s shoulders slumped in defeat as she shook her head. Going for one final attempt she asked a very direct question. "Where are you from then, Doctor?""From Canterlot my dear Twilight," The Doctor responded.'Really? From Canterlot? He doesn't act like a pony from there.' Twilight thought to herself."Hey there Twilight! I didn't know you were taking a break from your studies! Maybe you could come by the shop and try some delicious fairy cakes (cup cakes)!" An overly excited voice called from behind them."Not now Pinkie, I am helping this Doctor here find a blue box." Twilight replied, looking exasperated. Of all of the times Pinkie Pie could pop up out of no where, this was one of the worst. She was busy enough as is and now they have to deal with her excited friend who she couldn't deny or she would become sad."What kind of box? NO WAIT, don't tell me, I want to guess. Is it a small box? How about a green box? I can think of many things that rhyme with box. Rocks, socks, locks. Speaking of locks..." Pinkie went on and on while The Doctor and Twilight walked off, her exuberant friend following."Please, miss, Pinkie was it? We are quite busy looking for my large blue box. Please leave us be." The Doctor finally told Pinkie losing his patience with the filly-like mare.Pinkie stopped and put on a serious (if you can call it that) face. She turned to Twilight and stated "Twilight, you need new friends. This one is rude."Twilight turned to tell The Doctor something and decided against it. She turned back to Pinkie and replied simply "He is too busy to put up with your antics Pinkie. Sorry for his behaviour. I will come back soon and we can do something fun.""Okay!" Pinkie responds back to her usual self.Twilight and The Doctor walked off heading towards Sweet Apple Acres. The walk there was uneventful and they found themselves standing at the open gate sooner than expected. Upon walking through, they heard the sound of hooves hitting trees. The Doctor looked over towards the sound and saw an orange mare with three apples on her flank bucking trees."That is Applejack. She is the main owner of Sweet Apple Acres’ stall in the marketplace and is known by many ponies for her delicious apple cider.” Twilight explained to The Doctor.“Hmm, sounds lovely.”Applejack proceeded to buck another two trees before noticing the visitors. Stopping what she was doing, she walked over.“Hey there Twilight, how are ya?” Applejack asked. “I thought ya’ll had some studying you were gonna catch up on.”“Yeah Applejack, I have lots of studying to do but this pony needs my help.”“Who is this pony anyway? I don’t reckon I seen him much before.”“Please, call me Doctor. I am a traveler from Canterlot. Pleased to make your acquaintance.” The Doctor responded to Applejack pointedly, making sure it is obvious he noticed her ignoring him.“Well then Doctor, pleasure to meet you. What brings ya’ll to Sweet Apple Acres? Are you here to sample some apple fritters? Or maybe try some pie?” Applejack asked in her business voice.“No thanks, I am only here for business. I seem to have lost my blue box and understand you keep track of many happenings in Ponyville. I was hoping you knew something about my box.”“Sorry, but I ain’t got any information on any missing blue boxes. I do have some tasty apple cobblers waiting in the kitchen if you want to try a bite.”“Thank you miss, I will be off. I am quite busy to eat. Maybe some other time.”Twilight Sparkle and The Doctor once again departed and this time with no known destination.“So, where to now Doctor? We checked in with everyone who would know what is going on down here.” Twilight asked, lost in thought, trying to think of where else they could look for this ‘box’. The Doctor didn’t respond and instead walked along silently. About the time they made it to the centre of ponyville they heard a sound growing louder each time.*VWORP VWORP VWORP VWORP*“Wait!” The Doctor called out, startling Twilight. “That sound. It is the sound of my box.Right in front of them a big blue box with a light on top started to materialise. All around them ponies appeared wondering about the noise.“I can’t work with all of this commotion!” A voice called out, the voice of Rarity.“Now what is goin’ on here?” Applejack called out and ran by Twilight’s side, along with Rarity.“Loud noises! Is there a party? Why wasn’t I invited? I love parties! Party! PARTY! PARTAY!” Pinkie Pie as well, ran to the sides of the three ponies. Out of the sky Rainbowdash crashed into The Doctor.“Oi! Watch where you are bloody going you stupid pony!” The Doctor called out, standing back up.“Sorry!” A voice The Doctor had not heard before. It belonged to a blue pony with a bright rainbow mane.“Rainbowdash, you really should be more careful. You could have hurt this poor old colt.” Fluttershy flew down gently next to The Doctor and said to him: “As for you, I hope you are not hurt too badly, but you were rude to my friend, and I cannot stand by and let this go. I want you to apologise right now, if you don’t mind.”“She flew into me, why must I say an apology?”“Fluttershy, let it go. Doctor, what is this? And what is a ‘police box’?” Twilight asked, ignoring the protests from Fluttershy and Rainbowdash.“It is my big blue box, the TARDIS.”“TARDIS? That isn’t even a word. You are not making sense.”“Twilight, trust me in this. I must be leaving now. Good day Twilight, Applejack, Rarity, Fluttershy, and Rainbowdash.” The Doctor farewelled them and took out his key. Putting the key into the lock and opened the door. Twilight, out of curiosity, looked inside and gasped. The mane 6 walked up to see what was happening and went through the same reaction. All 7 ponies walked inside.“Doctor, this is impossible. It is bigger on the inside.”
Twilight looked on in shock, her mind struggling to keep up with what her eyes were seeing. “Wha-, bu-, how?”
Rainbow Dash was flying throughout the room erratically, squeals of excitement echoing loudly off the walls. “This is awesome!”
“What in tarnation?” Applejack had fallen on her haunches as her version of reality took a massive blow.
“...” Fluttershy was curled into a quivering ball as she gibbered in fear.
“My, what a drab decoration scheme,” Rarity said, completely ignoring the fact that the laws of physics were being broken in front of her eyes.
“Ohohohohoh! Is this the blue box that makes vworp vworp vworp sounds!? Are we going to take this for ride!?” Pinkie seemed entirely unsurprised by the size of the interior and somehow managed to perfectly imitate the TARDIS.
The inside of the Blue Box was large, much larger than anypony could ever think. The main room was a large box with two doors, now locked, that lead back outside. The two doors were white on the inside and one had a box that held a telephone, accessible from the outside. There were two more sets of doorways, without doors, leading to other rooms.
In the far left corner an octagonal table sat with buttons and levers and dials. The Doctor was standing near the table pressing buttons and flipping levers. The threshold across the doors lead to the kitchen area where an unknown white machine stood waiting to be used. There wasn’t much else in the kitchen. The doorway to the left of the entrance was the path to the sleeping quarters and the rest of the ‘box’.
“Pinkie, this clearly isn’t a transport. There is no way we could possibly move in this, even if it is bigger on the inside. This place is impossible.” Twilight stated matter-of-factly and turned to watch The Doctor. “Doctor, if that is who you really are, you never said anything about this. This is impossible and unless you can explain logically, I am leaving.” Twilight turned to the doors and attempted to escape the impossible prison but immediately gave up when they wouldn’t budge.
“Not so fast there Twilight, give the pony some time to explain before tryin’ to leave us behind.” Applejack turned to The Doctor awaiting an explanation.
“We can’t get out, the doors are jammed!” Twilight yelled out. She walked back to the table and started to say something.
“Twilight dear, please do not yell. I am sure there is a good, hopefully better than these walls, explanation. Doctor?” Rarity tried to remain calm and collected but secretly was starting to get scared, she did not understand this and the decorations were just horrid. She wanted out as soon as possible.
"Hmm? Oh yes." The Doctor sounded distracted as he continues doing what it was he was doing.
"Doctor, what is going on? Why can't we get out?" Twilight yelled out distressed.
"Oh, well, obviously it would be unsafe if you opened the doors while the TARDIS re-materialises," The Doctor stated matter-of-factly.
"What in tarnation are ya'll goin' on about now? What is this remateri-a-whatsit?" Applejack asked trying to keep up with the old ponies way of speaking.
"TARDIS is not a word Doctor, you really are not making any sense," Twilight argued.
"It stands for Time and Relative Dimension in Space. I am taking us back in time," The Doctor explained. He had finished messing with the console and was now standing near the group of friends, minus Fluttershy as she was still rolled up in a ball.
"Doctor, that is impossible, this entire thing is impossible. You are impossible," Twilight retorted, thinking to herself that this is all just a charade and soon something bad really would happen.
"Now now my dear, there is no need to go around insulting ponies because you are wrong and they are right, all you need to understand is that we are going to sometime well before what you are used to," The Doctor rebuttelled.
"Twilight, are you forgetting when you time travelled and spoke to yourself?" Rarity asked, remembering how paranoid the purple pony had become thinking the world would end.
"Ooh, good one on Rarity, close tie between her and Doctor, Applejack you are falling behind, and Rainbowdash and Fluttershy, both of you need to enter yourselves, zero points is not going to make you win!"
"Pinkiepie, what are you even talking about? Say, if this thing is bigger on the inside, then perhaps is there a place to practice flying?" Rainbowdash asked, as usual ignoring what was important and thinking only about herself.
"Yes, my speedy little pony, there is in fact. Go through that door, past the beds, and there is a large room where you can practice your flying."
"Oh boy! This is going to be great! Come on Fluttershy, let's go catch some air!" The excited blue pony dragged Fluttershy following the directions she was given. Upon entering the room, she thought that the description given by her unknown captor was an understatement. "Wow, this, place, is, ENORMOUS!" She shouted to herself as she took off ignoring Fluttershy.
Back in the main room the argument was still ensuing.
"Doctor! We do not need to be split up! We should all be in here trying to escape from your demented mind!" Twilight finally lost it and started insulting and screaming at The Doctor. After several minutes of this somepony finally interrupted. "That is enough Twilight. We will never get out of this mess unless The Doctor is in a good mood. You sitting there screaming at him and insulting him like a little filly is never going to get us anywhere." Rarity too had lost it. She was tired of the decor, she was tired of the yelling, and she was far too busy to sit here and wait for some pony to let them out.
"Aww, but it was just getting fun. Oh well, Twilight has now brought herself to the lead in this argument with a whopping 100 Pinkie points! Rarity has fallen behind with a 10 point deduction for ruining a perfectly good argument. As for you Applejack, you are still last place with a whole 14 points. You really need to catch up."
"Not now Pinkie, we need to focus on the matter at hoof."
"Hmm, I daresay you will find yourselves here for a while longer, the materialisation matrix seems to have slowed down. I can't even hear the iconic sound of my time machine."
"Rarity, my spell was different. It could only be used by a unicorn once and only lasted a few minutes. This is impossible. That is what I have been trying to say the entire time. Then somepony had to keep talking through it all and it frustrated me!" Twilight tried to explain but some pink pony wouldn't hear it.
"Oh, so now it is my fault? It's not like I locked the doors and tried to take us through time to ditch us somewhere so we wouldn't blab to Celestia. It isn't like I planned through this whole thing and will return unscathed to Ponyville after I am done removing all of the evidence that we even existed!" Pinkie started shouting to Twilight.
"Pinkie, what are you even talking about"? Twilight asked staring incredulously at Pinkie.
"Him!" Pinkie shouted back accusing The Doctor with her hoof.
The Doctor stared blankly at Pinkie wondering how she could even guess his brilliant plan. "That is impossible, you see, with every pony remembering you there is no possible way to simply make you disappear. That, my dear Princess Twilight, is impossible."
"Ah, but you said simply, it wouldn't be simple. You would need to erase us from the memory of everypony else, therefore you would have to stop us from ever reaching Ponyville, which in turn would mean that you never sent us back in time to hide the evidence so you wouldn't need to send us back in time which, in turn, would mean you never erased the evidence meaning we would meet and then you would have to take us through time and..." This went on for quite a while before Applejack interrupted.
"That is enough. That entire explanation was a load of hay. There is no way we would keep goin' through that twisted and bucked up loop just to end up here again. Ah am certain that there is a reasonable explanation for this entire thing." Applejack rebuke the now deflated pink pony.
"Thank you Applejack, now that that is settled, Doctor, if you would finally explain what is going on." Rarity spoke in her usual voice, her head tilted up, and her eyes closed.
"I already explained, you simply will not listen. You do not believe this is real when it is so obvious. You watched it materialise yourselves and yet you refuse to listen to reason. Why should I not leave you behind and return to my life?" The Doctor was finally mad that these simple ponies could not possibly fathom time travel after all they had been through.
"What did you just say?" Applejack too was furious. She could not believe her ears. She may as well have just heard a confession of what Pinkie had said was correct.
"I would never do that but with your ways of thinking you may as well believe it. To truly think a pony with my experience would lie about something as trivial as time travel." The Doctor had hit that state of being right when everypony else was wrong and stupid, except that they hadn't quite yet hit that point.
Nopony had noticed the sound of the TARDIS had stopped. They were too busy bickering amongst themselves. The TARDIS had stopped though and on the screen, which nopony was watching, was a barren wasteland that was Equestria before.
Rainbowdash was doing loops and barrel roles all around the gymnasium and Fluttershy was watching. She was amazed at what Rainbowdash could do and knew this was barely phasing Rainbow.
Rainbowdash did a quick back loop followed by a role and a backdive, one of the hardest moves a pegasis can make. It involves flipping around and falling backwards and stopping right before crashing. She had executed this flawlessly and Fluttershy even managed a loud 'Woo hoo!'. At least, the it seemed loud to her.
After that stunt Rainbowdash wanted to go and brag about it to her friends so they wandered back into the control room. Rainbow was the first pony to notice the moniter.
