Friendship Against Nightmares

Chapter 1

Twilight was on her balcony, looking at the stars. It was a windy night, but the sky was clear.

The unicorn was thinking about her friends. One year before, they defeated the Nightmare forces and their queen, Nightmare Moon, who turned back into Luna.The young princess return beside her big sister, princess Celestia, and she started to raise the Night, like before. Twilight never saw her royal teacher happier.

After their adventure, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Fluttershy, Twilight and Pinkie Pie were together all the time, to celebrate, to help each other during hard time, to spend time with the others and to have fun. Their friendship was stronger than ever. Until this week.

Pinkie Pie was helping the Cake with the biggest cooking competition of the year. Applejack helps her family with the farm. Rarity was drawing her new collection of dress for the famous photograph, Photo Finish, and the singer, Sapphire Shoes. Fluttershy went to Fillydelphia to help with a rabbit invasion. Rainbow Dash went to a flying competition at Cloudsdale. And she was studying for a test.

Twilight really missed her friends.

The wind became colder, and the unicorn took a blanket near her books. She felt herself getting tired, and her eyelids closed, taking our friend into the first of a sequel of nightmares.

Twilight was walking on a star trail. She could see the constellations around her. The little pony smiled: she knew all them. Astronomy was her favourite subject before she started studying the magic of friendship in Ponyville...

Her smile faded. Friendship. Her friends...

A tear ran down her cheek and hit the starry road. Suddenly, all the stars vanished and Twilight heard a laugh that she feared, a laugh that she would have prefer to not hear again. Her worst enemy that she thought they had defeated appeared in front of the her.

-You really thought that you had defeated me? Asked the icy voice she feared. Even your stupid elements can't eliminate the nightmares forces. You just delay the time of my revenge!

• My friends and I will defeat you again, Nightmare Moon!

• Which friends? The are not your friends anymore... They left you...

• No, it's false!

• It's what you try to convince yourself, my dear.

Nightmare Moon laughed and Twilight fell into a black hole.

-Twilight, are you ok?

Spike stood near the balcony door.

Twilight woke up. She just felt asleep on her books, luckily. Its was freezing. She jumped up and ran inside.

-What time is it? She asked.

-3 o'clock in the morning.

-What?!

• Yeh. You felt asleep on your books.

• I had a strange dream...

• Just go to bed. You're tired.

To be honest, she didn't sleep well. A book isn't a good pillow... So she obeyed to Spike and go inside.

Nightmare Moon stood in front of the unicorn, smiling and laughing loudly.

-You can't escape to my nightmares!

The purple pony ran away of the dark mare, but she fell in a big hole. After falling for what seemed to be forever to Twilight, she crashed hardly the ground.

It was night. And she was near the Carousel Boutique. And there was light in.

• Rarity isn't sleeping? Maybe you should go check! Said the voice of the night mare*, that was smiling...

Twilight obeyed, and she went to the window.

What she saw just made her crying.

Why her?
