//-------------------------------------------------------// The Eternal Servant -by Exanora- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// 1. Another World, Another Chosen //-------------------------------------------------------// 1. Another World, Another Chosen Chapter 1: Another Beginning I start the record of this world as I have done with every one, by giving my story. How I was, how I am, and how I came to be the second most powerful being in this universe. My name is Felix and my mission starts after I died. . .. … Dark, I know. I remember it very well, surprisingly, how I died I mean. I remember the weight of the gun in my hand, the faint reflection of light off of the casing as I loaded the bullet. I recall the note I had left, how clean I had left my little apartment before I had decided to kill myself. I had been suffering from serious depression, a lack of social connectivity, and a lack of money beyond basic food and rent. All of this had worn on me and I pulled together the last of what I had to end it all. All in all, my death was messy and unexciting. The gun went off and the bullet quickly tore through my gray matter, ending my time on the mortal coil. What made my death remarkable was that it was the last death in the entire universe. Not because immortality had been discovered, nor was it because I was the avatar of Death, or even some strange contrived reason that was the result of several failed science experiments, a rather loud jazz band and a poorly made pound cake. No, the reason was because the universe was just removed, deleted, trashed, insert synonym here. The creator of the universe had simply decided, 'Well, that was a good run, now lets stop it.' I can hear some of you wondering how I write this after the end of the universe, and that is because this document is being projected to you outside of time. The original copy of these words sits in a realm the does not technically exist anywhere, but can be accessed anywhere at the same time. I digress, after my messy end I awoke to find myself in an endless plain of nothing. It was a strange combination of black and white, being both and neither at the same time. I looked down and saw my body, yet it was not my body. I had not lived a hard life, per say, but I did have scars and scratches that I knew very well. Yet, looking down at myself, I saw none of these. I saw my tanned skin was smooth and unblemished like it was new. The slight belly I had gained from eating terrible food was gone, instead replaced by lean muscle, the same going for my arms and legs. Most remarkably, while looking at myself, I noticed that the usual fog that I saw everything through was gone. There wasn't any sort of looming sadness in my mind, no feeling like a shadow was hanging on my shoulders, pulling me down and away from the world. It was strange, unfamiliar to me, and yet I was grinning, for my depression had vanished. “Ah, so you're the one this time?” Came a voice from behind me. Turning around I saw a... being that looked entirely unremarkable aside from being intensely beautiful. It's body was covered by undulating wraps of cloth, covering anything that might have betrayed notable details. I could not tell if it was male, female, or even human, the beauty of it seemingly beyond possibility. It came up to me, not so much moving so much as moving everything around it to bring me closer, at least, that's how it felt. The sheer power I felt radiating from it was suffocating, like holding a light bulb up to a star, it simply dwarfed anything I could conceive. It looked me over and hummed to itself, “I see, I see, so you were the last being to die before I ended that instance.” It circled around my body once before stopping in front of me. My throat was dry as I struggled to find my voice, “A-am I dead?” I asked, frozen in place from its proximity. It's face betrayed something I would have liked to call surprise, “Oh? And you can still communicate? That's a good sign at least, better than the last few, they just went mad.” It sat on nothing, fingers steepled as it looked at me, “In a sense, yes you are dead, but you are also not dead.” My confusion must have been clear as it continued to speak, “You are currently sitting between the occurrence of universes or, to put it another way, you currently exist in non-existence.” It's gaze changed somehow and I felt It peering into my mind, my soul, the very make of my being, “...Felix Grimes, a good a name as any. I am what you could call the Ultimate Creator.” When it gave me it's title, I heard one thing and trillions of things at once, causing me to cry out in pain as it needled into my mind, “I made your universe, as I have made every other universe and will continue to do so.” I was shaking as I beheld It, no doubt in mind as I felt the power it gave off, “G-guess the Christians were right about the one god thing, heheh....” Laughing weakly, I tried my best to look anywhere else, but I could feel It compelling me to maintain eye contact. “Oh no, they were wrong. Were you more spiritually inclined in other directions, I would appear to you as your god, or gods, of worship. I am formless, only given form so that you may comprehend me without losing yourself.” It stood up, hand behind its back, “You are curious as to why you are here.” It said, speaking my mind for me, “You see, Felix, when I create a universe, I often have a set number of influential beings. For example, your instance had four hundred thirty two million, six hundred twenty five thousand, nine hundred seventy two races of creatures that were what you could call the universal superpowers. Each action they performed would affect the entire universe, if only slightly at times.” I nodded, the number of possible beings racing through my mind, “Now, I ended your instance for the simple fact that having so many races churning the universal waters caused it to grow muddled and tiresome. One race would perform one action that another race's actions would cancel out. It grew stagnant quite quickly, which does nothing for me.” It grew quiet for a moment, staring out at infinity, “Ssso.... What now?” I asked, wincing as It's attention turned back to me. “Now? Now I create another universe, but with only one being inside of a single race at a time and you,” It tilted its head and gave a strange smile, “You shall guard that being until I choose it's end.” “.... Pardon?” “I am going to make you into an observer and guard of sorts, you will be given abilities and talents to start out, but not many. Your true power shall come from what you gather from your time with the chosen being in each race.” It put a hand on my chest, a strange and wonderful energy permeating my body and mind, “I can tell you are confused. To reword it in terms you will understand: I am giving you immortality via regeneration. You cannot die and anything your body loses you will regrow in time. Along with that, I will give you enhanced physical abilities. Speed, strength, and durability. The final gift I will give you is immediate adaptation: Your body will instantly adapt to the world you are on while retaining your current form. Should you breathe what would normally be poison? Your lungs will accept it as normal. If the temperature averages beyond what you could originally believe capable, you will find it as temperate as a summer day.” I was panting heavily through my teeth as the energy flowing into me felt like it was about to make my body burst, my teeth creaking as I set my jaw, “Now, Felix, the rest of your skills, abilities, and talents will be absorbed from those who you slay and the being you protect, upon its death. What I hope to achieve from all this is a more interesting universe, something I can let suffer its heat death instead of wiping it away.” My body slumped as It's hand left my chest, “W-why me?” I panted, shaking as I felt my innards churning and changing. It stood above me and shrugged, “Simple, you were the last to die before I ended your universe, instead of using your energy and returning it to the universe, I kept your form, fixed any errors that you had, then let you wake up.” It held out a hand, a small point of light hovering above its palm, “Now, witness the birth of a universe.” I appeared on the outskirts of a forest, no flash of light or puff of smoke marking my appearance. As the eons had passed I found that a flashy entrance did nothing but draw unwanted attention, so I preferred to appear quickly and quietly if at all possible. As my foot touched down, hundreds of passive magical spells analyzed the environment, telling me the make-up of the air and land. While the magic worked its way through the air, various forms of advanced technology clicked and scanned, giving me data on the energies that permeated the world I had entered. The readings from both forms of scanning appeared in front of my eyes, giving me lists of numbers, atomic elements, wave forms of energy. The amount of data would overwhelm many, but I had grown quite used to it, quickly reading through the information and shutting down the scans. I took a deep breath of the air and nodded, smiling at the earthy scents that filled my nose. The moment of appreciation having passed, I took a look at myself to see if there were any obvious changes. Two arms? Check. Two legs? Check. Ten fingers and toes? Check. Holding a hand out, I summoned a floating, body length, mirror in order to check out my more cosmetic features. Two, dark brown eyes? Accounted for. Shaggy dark brown hair? Noted. Perpetually tan skin? A bit dusty, but all accounted for. If I were to take a guess, I would say that I was still about six feet tall, give or take an inch, but my size was a variable I learned to not try and keep track of. I banished the mirror, the reflective surface fading away as I looked down at myself. The long, metallic blue robe I was wearing was a remnant of the last race Chosen I had followed, and I was not much a fan of it. With a small gesture, the cloth faded away, stored in my pocket dimension, and was replaced by my default outfit: Black and red running shoes of my own design, dark blue jeans (100% cotton), and a long sleeved shirt featuring a red torso and black sleeves. It had no defensive values, no enchantments, nothing at all special about it other than being unbelievably comfortable, a trait that I have grown fond of over time. Properly situated, I decided to follow the Mark. It wasn't something any of my tech or magic could pick up, but I always knew where it was. The Creator made sure of that, so I would never lose the Chosen, no matter where they were in the universe. Making my way towards the Chosen I took careful note of the world I was going to occupy for the foreseeable future. True, I had readings and data, but little could replace actually looking around and taking in the sights. It seemed the forest was lush, full of flora and fauna that resembled life from my Earth, though proportions and coloration were different. Then again, I had seen many worlds that had resembled my Earth, some close but none were exactly the same. “.... Gaudy.” The muttered phrase escaped my lips as I looked at the building ahead of me. A blue, purple and golden yellow affair that seemed to be made of some sort of stone or crystal. While I had seen many structures, this one was certainly unique in it's tackiness. Of course the Chosen was in there, not in the small set of rather quaint looking buildings nearby, but that seemed to be the way of it when it came to the Chosen. Either they were entirely unassuming or they stood out like a pair of binary stars. Walking closer, I saw movement near the base of the... Castle, I suppose. Looking them over, I saw that the creatures were quadrupedal and wearing some form of golden armor. Probably military if I were to hazard a guess, and the leader was off to the side. As I neared the group, I saw that some had wings and were flying off or around the structure. They reminded me of the pegasi I had known and seen, if a bit smaller and more round. Others were performing some form of magic using an extension on their heads... Horns. They were using horns. Pegasi, unicorns and pastel colored ponies. Oh my. I let out a slight sigh of annoyance as I walked towards the castle, the colors biting into my eyes. With my approach, I was drawing more and more eyes. True, I could have gone invisible, or just teleported into the castle, but approaching from a distance was always better than just appearing in front of the Chosen. Surprising them never ended well for me in the past. A few yards away from the door my progress was, unsurprisingly, stopped as group of the ponies in armor gathered in front of me, spears grasped with wings, mouths, and magic, from what I could assume. The way they were leveling said spears at me I quickly gathered that the noises they were making were attempts to tell me to fuck off the other way or explain my business. Then again, this may just be how they greet strangers. Until I either studied them at length, or killed one, their culture and language would escape me. Learning might take some time, but I had time to spare and then some. The group took a threatening stance, jabbing the spears at me as I continued to walk forward, but it did little to dissuade me. Rather I just kept walking forward, my gaze lock on the door behind them. I could hear them muttering to each other as I got closer, with a shout coming from somewhere off to my side. Probably their leader, since they immediately hopped from threatening to defensive. Years ago, I might have cared as the sharpened points were pointed at my body, but now I just kept walking, the spear heads easily cutting into my flesh and muscles. The horrified looks the soldiers gave me as I continued walking into their spears made it obvious that these troops were all about shock, rather than action. Not that the spears currently jutting from my body didn't hurt, I had just experienced worse pains and this was more a light pinch by comparison. Then again, I could have killed them, hardened my skin, deflected the spears, anything. With the knowledge and power I had at my disposal, I could just wipe out the planet and leave the Chosen intact inside a stasis tube, but the Maker wouldn't like that as much. Up the steps I went, tracking the Chosen as I left a substantial blood trail behind me. I could hear the faint echoes of shouting echoing from farther behind me, likely the commanding officer trying to gather some sort of order. Not my problem, if the attacked again, I'd kill them, learn the language, and move on. A win for me in the end, really. I was on the same floor as the Chosen, all that was left was navigating the halls. Looking around, I saw the same symbols being repeated. A six pointed star, three rhombi, three apples, three butterflies, three balloons, and a cloud with what looked like a rainbow lightning bolt coming from the bottom. Some form of noble houses? Perhaps each was the symbol of a nation in the land. Something else I would have to learn I suppose. I stepped through the last door to see the same guards with more spears pointed at me, albeit shaking ones, one who had more decorated armor, what looked like a failed attempt at a chimera, and at least eight unarmored ponies, three of which bore both wings and horns. Each and every member of the group was giving me a look ranging from anger to horror. The yellow one wasn't giving a look, but it had passed out almost as soon as I entered the room. It came to mind that I should get rid of the spears currently lodged inside me. With a thought, the shafts started to move, slowly getting pulled into my body as they were broken down into raw materials that were then used to repair the damage I had sustained. The process took a few minutes, the stares continuing from all ponies in the room. “Those won't do you any good you know.” I pointed at their spears, “But you can't understand me, right?” A soft sigh escaped me as I finished talking. I looked and saw the Chosen, a purple pony with a six pointed star on its flank. It was taking an offensive stance, both forelegs spread, wings flared, low to the ground, and horn aglow? Tapping my heel on the ground, I quickly scanned the power she was using... Magic, pulling it from the ambient energy, filtering it through its body, adjusting its properties with its mind and then holding the final result in its horn. Nothing I had not seen before, but it was still very well done. I felt a small tingle in my mind and looked over the group. The taller, dark blue one was attempting to read my mind. 'Well, give and take, right?' I thought as I pulled her into my mind, delving into hers and pulling out what I needed. To those watching, it took less than a second. For me, it felt like five minutes. For her? Heh, for her, I led her through the first ten million years I had existed. I had seen many proto-species in that time, and earned most of my survival abilities from the Chosen during those years. I had also suffered a lot, my worst pains and many of my would-be deaths happened then. I forced her to experience them all. I would have to apologize to.... Luna, later. “.....-ot ask once again, leave the area immediately!” The guard captain was yelling at me, the clicking and whinnying language finally translated for me with the information I had taken. “No.” They were taken aback at my response, “I've business with Princess Twilight Sparkle and nothing you say or do will turn me away.” My gaze moved over to Luna, who was looking ill, “As a side note, Celestia,” The white... alicorn? A strange word. The white alicorn's eyes widened when I said her name, “Your sister is feeling unwell, and she'll probably feel like that for a while yet.” At my mention, Luna started to fall over, several of the guards dropping their weapons to catch her. “What have you done to Luna!” Celestia's hoof cracked on the crystal floor as she glared at me, her horn wreathed in gold, “I promise if you-” The entire castle creaked and each of the ponies aside from the three alicorns fell to the ground as I let loose a fraction of my magical power, “Don't even try it Celestia.” I walked over to the group of ponies as I spoke, “I am infinitely stronger than you are, wiser than you are, older than you are...” I looked her in the eye, the white pony standing a foot taller than me easily, “I have lived longer than the sun you control has existed.” I stepped back and looked at the group, more of my power leaking out and forcing the alicorns to the floor, “I am known as The Star Eater, The First Born, That Which Broke The Dark, Master Of All Forms, Land Breaker, King Maker, Favorite Of The Hive Queen,” I let loose a low growl that shook the foundations of the castle, “I have collected the skills, memories, and lives of creatures you cannot even think of in your WORST NIGHTMARES!” The sky outside was turning a dark red as I spoke, tentacles made of bone and sinew emerging from dark holes in the air, while the ponies in front of me looked up at me with anger and tears “I AM THE TRUE GUARD, THE ETERNAL AEGIS, HE WHO WITNESSED CREATION ITSELF!” I cut off my power, the skies returning to normal as the ponies staggered to their hooves, “My name is Felix Grimes, the Servant God.” I walked over to Twilight and knelt down, my head bowed, “Twilight Sparkle, The Creator has chosen you. In doing so, I will protect you, teach you, and follow you for as long as you shall live.” The purple alicorn looked at me, her legs shaking and chest heaving as she took it all in, “W-what?” Author's Note Hello folks!!! As you might have read in the description, this is a story that will constantly reference worlds that Felix lived on. Some of these will be references to shows and books, others will be made up using the wonderful chaos that happens to be my brain. However, I am only so imaginative so I implore you, dearest reader, please feel free to leave comments with opinions, criticisms, and ideas!! Ideas for past Chosen, worlds and cultures!!!! All that being said, please enjoy my story and Be Well!!!! //-------------------------------------------------------// Accepting A Stranger //-------------------------------------------------------// Accepting A Stranger “As I said Twilight, I am here to serve you, guard you, and observe you.” I looked around as I stood up, taking note of the others in the room. A majority of them were look at me with a mixture of awe and horror, the exceptions being Celestia and the strange creature called Discord. They were looking me with anger and interest, respectively. “I-I-I... What?!” Twilight was looking up at me, only coming up to my chest, “I don't understand?! What happened to those spears? What are you? What was that-that-that pressure?!” She was starting to hyperventilate as she paced, the gears in her mind obviously going into overdrive. This was not the first time I had overwhelmed a Chosen, nor did I expect it to be the last. While she was trying to figure me out I wandered over to Celestia who was currently nuzzling Luna's cheek, a worried gaze on the white alicorn's face. “What did you do?” She asked quietly, not looking at me. “What indeed?” Discord repeated, forming a loop around me with his body, “I haven't felt anything close to that since... Well since Fluttershy and her friends sealed me away a second time.” Ignoring the draconequus, I followed Celestia's eyes to look down at the unconscious Luna, “She was trying to read my mind, so I read hers in kind. Copied some information I needed and showed her some things she was likely looking for.” “My sister has read minds before and this has never happened.” She stood up and looked at me, her brow furrowed. “She has never experienced ten million years before.” I replied, raising an eyebrow slightly, “I did nothing to harm her, she is more than likely just trying to process all of the information that was forced upon her, not to mention how... jarring some of it may have been.” Discord continued to revolve around me, poking at my body, “I would hardly imagine something like you has seen too much.” He chuckled and brought his face up to mine, a smirk on his features, “Aside from that trick with the spears, I mean. And whatever that thing you did with the gravity? Novel at best.” His smirk turned into an angry frown, “Though I promise you this, if you try to hurt my friends like that again,” He was poking his lion claw into my chest, “I will make your time here incredibly... Unpleasant.” “I doubt you could, Discord,” I replied dryly, “But I'll entertain your fantasy.” With a thought, my body passed through his as I walked back over to Twilight, who was now surrounded by her friends, “We have much to discuss Twilight.” The blue one, Rainbow Dash, jumped in between us, “No way freak! You need to just back off before I mess you up!” Her wings were flared as she glared at me. “Darn straight!” Applejack, the orange one, joined her side, “Y'all ain't gettin' closer to Twahlight! No way, no how.” Her sentiments were echoed by the rest of the group, standing in front of Twilight to form a wall. Save for Fluttershy who was awake and cowering behind the purple princess. An annoyed sigh left my lips as I took in the sight, “Alright, how about this.” I took a slight step back and made quick upward motion with my hand, a circular table rising from the floor, the center being hollow so I could stand inside it, along with enough chairs for each of them to have a seat, “It is obvious you are all scared and confused. For the the next couple of hours, let's just get any questions you might have for me out of the way.” They all gave me dubious looks, “I promise, I won't try to do anything,” I nodded to Twilight, “Unless you want me to of course.” “What do you mean?” Twilight asked, looking uncomfortable. “I'll explain once we all get ourselves sorted. Once you are ready, have a seat and I'll answer any questions you might have for me.” My gaze went over each of them before turning to Celestia and Discord, “You both can feel free to join, I'm sure you want answers.” The looked at each other, the magic flowing between them revealing their telepathic conversation to me. I could have dug deeper and “listened” in on their little chat, but I couldn't bring myself to care enough to try. . .. … They all gathered around me after about an hour of deliberation and prep. The deliberation was Twilight putting together a list, the action calming her down and helping her friends the same way. The preparation was Celestia setting the guards up just around the table and room, each with something pointed at me, be it magic or a weapon. Not that it would do them much good, but it seemed to make her feel better. Discord didn't seem to care too much, floating near Fluttershy protectively. Twilight cleared her throat and tapped her papers on the table, “Alright, let's begin with the questioning.” I was impressed with how professional she had become, it spoke well of her character, “To start, why were you so hostile when you came in?!” Her tone was, understandably, annoyed. I rubbed my chin for a moment before replying, “Well, because I needed to make sure you all wouldn't try anything.” Their silence betrayed their confusion, “Let me explain.” I gestured to Luna, now resting on top of a pile of pillows, “When Luna tried to probe my mind, I initiated an exchange of information. Like I told Celestia earlier, I showed her my first ten million years in this universe,” A snort of disbelief from Discord, Applejack and Rainbow Dash, “And I copied information from her mind. Your language, names, relationships with each other, and immediately pertinent information.” Twilight was rubbing her chin with a hoof, “That explains why you didn't answer us right away.... However it still doesn't explain your actions.” “True, I was building up to it. You see, from the information I gathered, one fact that stood out was that you all are very confident in your abilities when together.” I gestured to Celestia and Discord, “Not to mention the Princess of the Sun and Avatar of Chaos would be assisting you as well. I had to show you that I am more powerful than you all are, if only to dissuade you from trying anything drastic. Celestia in particular,” The white alicorn's eyebrows raised a bit, “Since she sees herself as a sort of mother to you all, she would try to have me eliminated at the first sign of hostility towards you all. Even if I was peaceful, she'd have me monitored constantly and that may have impeded me later on.” I gave a slight shrug, “So, I gave a show of force. One that would make you all realize that I can stop whatever you can think of doing.” “How barbaric!” Rarity said, a hoof to her chest, “I highly doubt that we would have tried anything should you have shown yourself as a peaceful being.” Smirking, I nodded, “True enough Rarity. You and your friends would give me some time,” I glanced at Rainbow and Applejack, both of whom were glaring daggers at me, “Some of them at the very least. Barbaric as they may have been, my methods were effective.” A slight smile crossed my features, “You are all either too curious, cautious, or outright afraid to try anything directly.” “Afraid!? I'll show you who's afraid!” Rainbow Dash started leaping out of her chair, only to be held back by Celestia's magic. “Rainbow Dash, while I understand your feelings, this is neither the time or place to try anything.” Her voice was calm and even, but carried authority, “So, if only for the sake of myself and your friends, please calm down.” “Mmmmmmmmmfine!” The blue pegasus huffed and sat back down, hooves crossed. Twilight coughed softly, gathering the attention her way again, “With that out of the way,” She looked down at her list, “What exactly are you?” Her brow was furrowed, “I mean, at best I would say you were a malnourished minotaur, but you don't have horns, hooves, and minotaurs can't typically do magic.” I had expected the question, each Chosen had asked it when I arrived, “I am a...” My sentence stopped as I hit the language barrier. These ponies did not have a word for 'human,' which wasn't exactly a surprise, but entirely inconvenient, “I am one of a kind, there is nothing else like me anywhere in the universe.” Her frown spoke volumes, “That's not a very good answer.” She replied, “Even if you are one of a kind, you must have a name for your species or...” She looked at her hooves as she struggled for words, “Or something!” She finished lamely. “My species does have a name, but it doesn't translate in your tongue.” I shrugged, “Sorry.” She looked over at Applejack who shook her head, “Alright, you aren't lying, so we'll move on. For now.” Checking the second question from her list, she continued, “Why are you here? I gather that, from what you said, you came to follow me?” I noticed Celestia focused on me with particular intensity, “What does that mean? And what did you mean by my being chosen?” I nodded and scratched my cheek, sighing softly, “All of those run together, so I can answer them pretty easily.” I leaned back, translating the words in my mind before I started speaking, “To begin with, the reason I exist right now is because the Creator of the Universe chose to let me do so.” I saw their expressions and cut them off before they could ask, “We can talk about the Creator later. Now, when the Creator made this universe, it was made with a rule: One being inside of one species inside of the entire universe would be Chosen.” I gestured to Twilight, “This Chosen being would be the most influential being in all of creation. Every choice they make would affect everything, everywhere. Sometimes it would be directly, other times it would be a domino effect, the actions of the Chosen causing a series of reactions.” Twilight was a bit paler after hearing my explanation, “I highly doubt your claim, Felix,” Celestia said, narrowing her eyes at me, “And you have yet to explain where you come into this.” “True, true. You see, the Creator lets me exist because It wants the Chosen to be watched and protected, something I'm sure you can agree with, Celesita.” I smiled as she frowned, “The Creator wants to see how the choices and actions of the Chosen will affect the universe, and if the Chosen was to die for some reason then it's possible actions could be cut short. That is where I come in,” My gaze returned to Twilight, who seemed to have regained her color, “I was given a few abilities in order to prevent the Chosen from dying: Immortality, Enhanced Body/Mind, and Instantaneous Adaptation. I cannot die and will recover from any injury, even regrowing limbs and organs. I am much stronger, faster, with greater mental capabilities, and I can adapt to any and all environments faster than one could imagine. Every other talent, skill, and ability that I have are the result of the final gift I was given. Whenever I should... End the life of another being, I will gain its memories, skills, everything. The same will occur once the Chosen dies after the Creator has chosen to let it do so. Until that time comes, I am to guard them, learn from them, teach them, and serve them.: Twilight was shaking slightly, her friends quickly gathering around her, Celestia joining them after circling the table, “Felix, I forbid this.” Celestia glared at me, her face hard and a soft golden glow around her horn, “I forbid you from-” Her sentence was cut off as I shifted myself and Twilight to a nearby mountain, a small, flat ledge that looked over a large plain, “She is a good ruler,” I mused out loud, “Though she needs to learn when to stand down...” I looked down at Twilight, who was currently looking around, her wings flared in panic, “So, Twilight.” Her head snapped toward me, eyes like pinpricks, “What did you do? What was that? It wasn't teleportation, but...” She shook her head and narrowed her eyes, “Forget it, why did you take me here?” “Simple, I want to talk to you and you alone. It is obvious that Celestia's opinion means a lot to you, but I want you to try and make this decision on your own.” “Decision?” She stepped back, looking up at me, “What decision?” Sitting down on the rough stone, I stretched, “Let me follow you and be a part of your life, or have me follow you against your will.” “Hardly a choice.” She replied, moving beside me, “What would be the difference if you plan on following me anyway?” “Well, if you agree to it, then I can show you all the things I have learned from the billions of different cultures I've lived with. I can also protect you, your friends, anyone you so choose. I basically become a sort of tutor/guard/butler to you. Serve and protect, with education on the side.” “And if I said no?” She had settled beside me, looking out over the landscape. “I stalk you and protect you, but you don't get to tell me what to do or learn about anything I've seen or done.” She was quiet for a good few minutes, her brow furrowed, “... Do you have any intention of hurting anypony?” “Not so long as you don't order it and they present no threat to your life.” “And you'll do anything I say?” “Pretty much.” “... Why me?” I shrugged, “To be honest? I don't know.” The Chosen always asked that, and my answer is always the same, “However, take solace in this.” I looked over at her, putting my hand on her hoof, “So long as you shall live, I'll be your protector, friend, and teacher. I will always be there for you, and for those you care about.” I gave her a soft smile. “You're a lot nicer than I thought you were.” She returned the smile and nudged my side. “Yeah, I try to be nice if I can help it.” She stood up and turned to face me, “I'm glad to hear it, since you'll be following me around for a long time coming. Now let's get back, I'm positive everypony is worried.” Chuckling, I stood up, the world blurring slightly as I shifted us back, “I'm looking forward to it.” Author's Note Sorry this took so long everyone. I, like many others, must work in order to survive and with the holidays coming up I have been very busy. That being said: Holy Hell y'all. Seriously, with all the faves. Our return went similarly not unnoticed, the five mares leaping on their friend and checking her over for any sort of injury while Celestia charged over to me, glaring and making a number of threats at me. My yawn didn't do much to make her feel better, but I didn't much care. Celestia, from what I had gathered via Luna's mind, was genuinely kind, but very controlling of others. Twilight freed herself from her friends and came up to us, “Celestia, I know you probably want to imprison Felix, or banish him, but I've decided that I want him to stay.” I admired the courage in her words, even though her legs were shaking slightly. Celestia seemed a bit surprised, “Twilight, are... are you sure?” She glared at me, “I don't trust him one bit.” Twilight scuffed her hoof against the floor, looking down for a moment, “I know, but think of what we could learn from him!” She looked up, excitement glittering in her eyes, “Even that... teleporation he did, it was vastly different from the usual method! There was no charge, no displacement of atmosphere or matter! Do you know what that means?!” Twilight wandered off as she began listing off theories and magical laws. Celestia had a small smile on her face as she watched Twilight ramble, quickly replacing it with a glare as she looked at me, “Don't. You. Dare. Try to hurt her, in any way. I'll have one of my personal guard keep an eye on you while you're here and if they report so much as one hurt hair on Twilight's head I will hunt you down, the same goes for her friends. I'll have somepony keeping an eye on them too.” “Celestia,” I began with a sigh, “I guarantee that you won't be able to do anything to me, but!” I held a finger up as she started with a reply, “But, I promise not to hurt them. I am, first and foremost, a protector.” Celestia gave me a wondering look, “I have great power, but I don't use it to harm others. I use it to protect and help the Chosen, even if that means hurting another being, it is what I do and what I will do.” Celestia stared at me silently, judging me and my words before looking at one of the guards, “Commander Shimmer Breeze, come here for a moment.” She called out. An off white pegasus mare with sparkling golden hair, a series of glittering, swirling lines on her flank, marched up to us, sticking... her chest out and bringing a hoof to her forehead in a salute, “Your orders, Princess?” Celestia gestured to me with a wave of her hoof, “Your mission from now until otherwise ordered by none other than myself, is to observe the actions of... Felix, and report them to me, with extreme priority given to any actions that may be considered harmful to the health or mentality of Princess Twilight Sparkle or ponykind in general. You will be given lodging here in her castle, and a stipend every month to purchase supplies you may need.” “I'll send for my things at once.” Shimmer replied, “Will there be anything else, Princess?” Celestia brought her hoof to her chin, “Hmmm, assist Twilight if at all possible. Don't do anything that would go against my orders, but she will need help adjusting to her new home.” Shimmer saluted again, then left the room, the distant sound of shouted orders echoing back in. “She seems like fun.” I commented as Twilight walked back to us, her dissertation now finished. “Commander Breeze is one of my best guards, she'll be able to keep an eye on you quite well.” Twilight looked bashfully up at Celestia, “So, I'll be having Felix stay with me?” Her attempt at authority ended up sounding more like a question. Celestia gave her a smile, “Alright Twilight, if that is what you want.” Her smile turned into a concerned frown, “However, I have assigned one of my personal guard to keep an eye on you both until I judge him to be harmless.” Twilight was about to protest when Celestia continued, “Do not worry Twilight, I have told her to assist you alongside Spike while she stays here, and she will be given her own pay for food and other necessities.” Twilight nodded and walked up to her former teacher, resting her head against the white fur of her chest, “Thank you Celestia. I promise to let you know how things are going and if I find out anything interesting.” “Take care Twilight, do not hesitate to send me a letter now and again.” Celestia replied, wrapping her wings around Twilight's smaller form. Goodbyes and subtle threats were had, Celestia leaving with Luna at her side, along with a large number of the guard. A small amount were left behind, Shimmer Breeze not being counted among that number, just enough to patrol the area outside of the castle, with one or two staying indoors and patrolling the halls. I was in a smaller, more comfortable room full of pillows and furniture, likely a sitting room of sorts. I was standing in the middle of the room while Twilight sat with her friends, Spike having joined the group after returning from purchasing some food, Shimmer standing near the group, her gaze firmly fixated on me and each movement I made. “I know you said you would serve me,” Twilight began, sitting comfortably on top of a large pillow, “But what does that entail?” I shrugged, “Whatever you can think of honestly, I can be your assistant and help out during your research. I can do the butler thing: cooking, cleaning, laundry and such. I'll happily teach you about whatever you ask about.” I idly scratched my cheek, “If you want, I'll even have sex with you.” Aside from Shimmer and myself, everyone in the room turned a drastic shade of red, with Rarity fanning herself, “I say, how uncouth! To suggest the idea... And that she could... Whenever...” Wisps of steam started escaping her ears as she fanned herself more rapidly, quietly mumbling what were likely saucy fantasies. Twilight, having regained her composure more quickly than the others, shook her head and looked at me, “R-really? You would...” She let out a small cough, “Sleep with me?” I nodded, “Yeah, why wouldn't I?” She rolled her eyes, her face still a shade of pink, “I mean, you would do it so easily?” I nodded again, “Yeah, from what I could gather from Luna's mind, you ponies have a pretty basic set up for sex.” I made a circle with the fingers of one hand, using the index finger of my other hand to repeatedly penetrate the circle, “Rod 1 into one of two or three holes.” The fact that the only ones to start counting were Twilight and Fluttershy spoke volumes, though Spike's understanding nods gave me no end of amusement, “Besides, I enjoy sex and am well equipped for it in any situation.” I gestured to my crotch, “I can morph my penis into any size or shape that suits my partner at the time. The same goes for my whole body really, but it doesn't actually affect what I can do.” I added thoughtfully. “What do y'all mean “morph?”” Asked Applejack, her cheeks having returned to normal. I held out a hand, giving them a good look at it before the skin shifted, turning dark red and scaly, my fingernails extending into black claws. I showed them the change before changing it back to normal color, adding bone spikes growing out of my knuckles and the back of my hand, “Size, shape, color, and and sort of additions.” My hand fully returned to normal as I shook it out a bit, “I can do that with any part of my body.” I finished, flexing my fingers. Twilight was furiously jotting something down on a sheet of parchment while everyone else was staring at me with a mixture of wonder and caution, even Shimmer seemed mildly impressed. Fluttershy and Rarity each let out a yawn, “While today has been quite... interesting,” Rarity said, standing up, “I say we gather again tomorrow, then we can properly begin planning the decorations for the rest of Twilight's castle.” Applejack nodded in agreement, “Yeah, 'sides Ah have t' help in th' southern orchards t'marrah.” She gave me a quick glare before nudging Fluttershy into standing. Rainbow dash hovered in front of me, “You better not try anything bub, or I'll wreck you faster than you can blink!” She continued glaring as she backed out of the room, the rest of the group already filing out with soft “good nights” and hugs, Pinkie Pie going out of the way to loudly whisper plans about a “Congratulations on the new Castle and Super Neat-o Sex Butler” party. Twilight sighed and looked at me, “I'd love to start asking questions and taking notes on you, but it's been an... interesting day, and I'm too tired to document any findings properly.” She stood up and stretched, her horn glowing as she placed Spike on her back, “Come on, I'll show you to a spare room near mine.” Shimmer followed close behind us as Twilight led me to the room I would be using, explaining the origin of the castle and the battle with Tirek that had taken place only a few days ago, Spike occasionally adding a bit of commentary. The room was rather basic, a bed a window, a large closet, and a table with a set of chairs all made of the same crystal that made up the structure of the castle. I approved and good nights were exchanged, Twilight promising to start her academic interrogations sometime tomorrow, leaving me alone with Shimmer who leapt on me, pinning me to the bed, “You can morph your cock into any size and shape?” She asked, her eyes her closed and eager. “Well yeah, pretty much.” I replied, not totally surprised. She grinned, sitting on top of my hips, “I've always loved an exotic lay, and you are just a jackpot. So, wanna roll around? Princess Celestia said to observe you and I can't think of a better way for me to keep a close eye on you.” Her entire set of poor reasoning was accented by her grinding against me, the scent of her sex quickly filling the small room, “What do you say?” I smirked, my hands gripping her flanks tightly, “Do you have any requests?” Author's Note I take too long to punch these things out. I blame my job for that. Let me know how bad I did!!!!
