Waking Up
It was dark. Very dark. Who am I? I do not know. All that I remember was the black mare.
She walked up to me and smiled. "Come Eclipse." Eclipse, was that my name?  I still am not sure, if not completely ignorant. Eclipse, that sounded right. I followed the dark mare into the tunnels. She turned around and gave me a soft smile time after time, and I find myself trusting this black mare more and more. " My daughter." The mare says.
I reply, "Are you my Mother?"
She says in a soft voice," I am, my daughter."
I say," I have been waiting for you my whole life, Mother!"
She smiles, but then her eyes grow dark and she says," Eclipse, there is an evil in this land."
I say, What is it Mother??"
Mother replies, "A white mare, out of control and bloodlust and power, took over this kingdom. It was once beautiful and powerful

                         Prolouge

Prolouge
Twilight faced off the alicorn. She was sweating, panting, and the Elements of Harmony, were scattered over the floor. "Forget it Twilight Sparkle, I have won!" Nightmare Moon said triumphantly. "Never, will I give up on the princess, or my friends." Twilight replied. Nightmare said ," You're not serious, are you?" when Twilight bonded all the elements together. They fluttered, and then shut off. Nightmare unleashed a bolt of magic that hit Twilight straight in the horn. She collapsed. Nightmare tucked Twilight in with her and prepared to take off when a flash of light, a roar of sound, and then,  and then princess Celestia appeared.Nightmare asked, "So this is your student, is it? You sent this pony to stop me? Come now, Celestia, you're better than that."
Celestia replied,"Release her now! Your argument is with me, not her!"
Nightmare said,"Her name is Twilight, is it? A fitting name... perhaps, like the twilight, you hoped she would be the bridge between night and day?"
Celestia shouted,"I will not ask you again. Let her go!"
Nightmare coolly replied,"No. I think I'll take her with me. She is powerful; I can see why you took her as your student. I'll tell her the truth, and in time she'll see through your lies and serve me instead. She'll need a new name though... I think Eclipse will do? How does that sound, Celestia? Eclipse, just like the act of the moon blocking the sun."
Nightmare Moon teleported away, leaving a stunned Celestia surrounded by five unconscious ponies.
Celestia fell to the floor, her tears flowing freely, "I failed her, I told Twilight I wouldn't fail her, but I did." She cried, and tucked the five unconscious ponies around her, and fell asleep crying.
The next day, Celestia woke and found that she was now in her room. She stretched, yawned, and stood up. Immediate pain rushed through her eyes. She flew to the mirror in her bathroom, and saw with horrible certainty that her eyes were not only puffy and bloodshot, but were also slitted and golden. Celestia gasped and mumbled woozily, "Luna..." She stood up and walked out of her chambers. The guards at the doors were gone. A thump close to the castle door told Celestia that something was wrong. Extending her now dragon-like wings, she flew towards the sound. Nightmare Moon was there. NOW...
