My name is Blue Jay, I am a half-dead mare. My body is brain dead and I am a ghost. To save myself I must travel with my killer through the wastes, as his guardian, and keep him safe. We're to find the dead queen's daughter, and bring her home. On our long journey, the restless souls of the past are as varied as the living. Many have lost themselves in the Hereafter, hungry to live again, and others simply want to sleep. I'm not sure I'll survive this place. I'm not sure I'll survive being partners with my killer. But I'll be damned if I don't help.

In the Wastes, the dead are closer than we think.
