CutieMarkCrusaders: Tactical Espionage Quest
Chapter 1: Sneaking Into Twilight's Castle
"It's nightfall over over the kingdom of Ponyville. The crystal castle is heavily guarded by Twilight's loyal soldiers, but will simply not be enough for the CSC federation.
Agent Stalkerloo was sent in on a mission to retrieve a book on how to perform to secret spy missions by Agent Talking Belle. She had been sent along with Agent Snips and Snails as helpers.
It was imperative for them to retrieve the book or the General Diamond and Agent Silver top commanders of the opposing side would gain the advantage over the CSC and take over their clubhouse which was their only base for intel and rest from danger.
To the rest of ponyville inhabitants, they saw this whole thing the fillies and colts were sporting was nothing more than just a game.
But it is so much more than that.
Of course it did involve your usual cupcakes, cakes and stuff of that nature, but it was still that meets the eye. Agent Stalkerloo and Agent Silver have been in the leads for both sides of the opposing party. A war that has been ever present since before Twilight's time. A war between the blank flanks and the... the flanks that have cutie marks you could say.
The war was always a present issue, but the problem is that it will always be present as long as their is an existence of "blank flanks"
Not back on track with the story...
Agent Stalkerloo is located in a garden not far off from the castle itself. Guards are moving around every corner, and all she could have do was wait for when Agent Talking Belle was ready to give her orders. Stalkerloo had not slept all day especially after spending the evening with Rainbow Dash she really wanted to use the night to sleep, but it getting the book was more important to saving the blank flanks from total humiliation.
Stalkerloo wore on her glasses and set the lens to heat vision to see the soldiers that were in the dark. A magical purple shell began to glow on her side. She opened it up and saw Agent Talking Belle.
"It's about time you got with me!" Stalkerloo said stretching out a hoof. "So what's the mission. I falling asleep here."
"Well it isn't easy seeing activities all the way from the clubhouse you know. Now here's the mission, you Agent Snips and Snails and enter in the castle through the back door way. They are two guards which are stationed there just so that you are aware. Careful out there Scootaloo."
"Alright, I will," Stalkerloo responded closing the shell. She looked over to Snips and Snails who struggled to get out of the grass. They made there way to her removing the vegetables and branches that were stuck onto their spy suits.
"So what did she say?" Snips asked.
"Uuuh yeah, what did she say?" Snails asked aloud. Snips slapped a hoof over Snails mouth and looked back at Salkerloo waiting for an answer.
Stalkerloo sighed answering, "Alright you two, we have to make it into Twilight's Castle from the north side of the building. We're first going to have to remove the two soldiers that stand posted before entering. I will need you Snails to flash a bright light over the two soldiers, then Snips and I will take care of the soldiers and have them get us inside.
"Got it," Snips responded.
"Yes, ma'am!" Snails said aloud before they both hurried him into the grass away to avoid other soldiers hearing him.
~ * * * ~
Scootaloo and the rest of the group safely made it past the guards in the garden and got into a tree near the entrance of the castle.
"Alright guys, remember the plan. Remember, we can't fail or else the other side will have the chance of getting the book before we do," Stalkerloo said before hopping down the tree into grass. Snips followed behind, but Snails was too clumsy and fell into the bushes making an alarming thud sound.
"What was that?" One guard asked. The other guard looked and nodded in agreement for him to go and check out the bushes. He quickly trotted up to the bushes and lit his horn so that could see anything that would have moved. After spying the bushes for some time, he quickly turned around and began trotting back to his post, "Guess it was nothing."
After he trotted a couple of feet away, Stalkerloo yelled out, "Alright guys, now!" She quickly jumped up out of the grass with her hooves gripped tight around a wrench. She came down upon the soldier and whacked him straight in the temple with her weapon, knocking him out completely.
Snips and Snails ran on ahead to face the other guard at the gate.
"Take this, you!" Snails lit his horn bright, temporarily blinding the guarded. As the guarded had covered his eyes and tried regaining his vision that was when Snips came and grabbed the keys from his side, socking him in the chin only seconds after.
"Alright, Scoot-- I mean Agent Stalkerloo, we got the key!" Snips accidentally let go of the keys from his mouth onto the ground.
"Use the keys to open the door! More of the guards are going to be here!" Stalkerloo said placing the wrench on her loin and running towards them. She suddenly felt the vibration of the glowing purple shell on her side.
Stalkerloo jumped up into the air performing a somersault and made a perfect landing before her two partners. She opened up the shell and saw Agent Belle through the magical screen.
"What's up?" Stalkerloo said looking back at the grass to see if any soldiers had seen them yet.
"I saw a bright light go off. Just so you know that going to attract unwanted attention," Agent Belle said donning her black sunglasses.
"I already know that. The mission is a go. All I need to do now is get is inside and then the book before Agent Diamond Tiara and Agent Silver Spoon get their hooves on it."
"Well let me leave you to that. Just make sure you race as best you can to the get to it before them. Remember they have access to better tech gadgets than we do since they already have their cutie marks, Agent Stalkerloo. Reporting out," Agent Belle said as the magical screen disappeared.
Scootaloo quickly closed the shell and looked at Snips still struggled to get the key into the hole. She quickly took the key from him, "Sweet Celestia Snips, how could you not get they key into the hole! Guards will see us and it's mission over!" she quickly opened the door and ran inside.
"Sorry!" Snips and Snails said simultaneously.
"No time for that, let's go!" she said turning around heading on inside the castle. They both followed her within the doors and ran up a flight of stairs onto the first floor of the castle. The three of them were faced with a long hallway with doors on both sides.
"This is it. Now all we need to do is see which door is labeled "library" and get that book," Stalkerloo said tiptoeing onward.
"Uh, what's the book called?" Snails asked pulling a booger from his nostrils and rubbing in it on the wall.
"That's a good question Agent Snails, but Agent Belle never told me what was the name of the book. All she said to me was that we should see it on a separate pillar by itself in the library of this castle," she responded.
"Huh, that's not a lot to work with," Snails said trotting along side her.
"Well she's always been like that. Besides there isn't much she could see from a telescope, so we're just going to have to get used to it," Stalkerloo said looking at a guard coming up to to them from the opposite end of the hall.
"Alright guys, stay low. You remember what I taught you guys, staying low helps keep the enemies from realizing your presence."
"Right," Snips answered.
"Got it! Woohoh!" Snails fell onto the ground. The guard's light had flashed onto the group.
"There are intruders within the building! I need back up!" the guard yelled out.
"Oh boy, this isn't going as planned..." Stalkerloo opens up her shell. "Hey Agent Belle, what do we do in a situation where we have been seen through some idiot's clumsiness?"
"I don't know Stalkerloo. I just give advice on what I see. I've never been in a pickle with guards before. Running could be an option, but we need that book badly."
Stalkerloo eyed Agent Belle for a few seconds before closing the shell. She looked over to Snips and Snails who where crunched up behind a flower pot. Guards came running down the hall to their location.
"What do we do?" Snips asked shaking more and more uncontrollably with every moment that pasted. She couldn't think of a way out of this.
Stalkerloo switched her night vision lens off and pulled out the wrench from her loin, "Where just going to have attack them head on until we could find an area to hide or even get to the library and get that book, so get your weapons ready."
Snips pulled out a rock, and Snails magically held up a half eaten cookie. Frustrated, she looked away from them and put a hoof to her muzzle.
"Alright, let's go."
