Side effects may include is not a documentary about bronies but a story about one. It's a story about a 16 year old who is not the most popular guy at school but he isn't a loser. He has a strong group of friends, he has a girlfriend, and the teachers all respect him. But all it took was a couple clicks to turn his whole life upside down. When fooling around on netflix he discovers the show My Little Pony friendship is magic. He decides to watch it to see how "stupid" it is. Like a lot of bronies will tell you, it started with one episode then another then another then another etc. etc. He soon realizes that he likes the show but isn't aware of the whole brony thing. In fear of losing his reputation at school, he decides to ignore it and forget about it. But the next day he starts seeing things that apparently he can only see from his reflection being a pony and the mane 6 interacting with him. He descends into more denial of his love for the show but still continues to watch it. And then, thanks to the magic of search history, his life at school is ruined. This sets him on a journey of friendship, betrayal, hate, acceptance, love, depression, happiness, and many other things that even magic can't make.
