A Rare Meeting
Rare shells,
Seas fell,
Rocky beginnings,
Stellar endings,
Rare meetings,
Diamond greetings.
The sun shines on them as they glitter in the sun of the one who adorns them, their white body encompassing the mere distinction between the two separate designs, hoping that one day, they will co-exist without being shined upon by another source or jaded by a third party. As it sways on the gentle dirt curve, the sounds of clip-clopping enter the equation without disrupting the equilibrium. The white hooves collide with the true salt of the Earth, the dark brown soil scattered as each hoof lays its mark for the future to consider.
The sounds of birds shatter the equilibrium, their harmonious chirping bringing about the true song of her day. The highs and lows, the soft trembles, the rapid shifts of tone; this is the way of nature and how she works, unexpected but brightly, brightly and with beauty. The happy sighs of one who holds the gems emits, the aura protruding from her white horn shown proudly for any passer-by to see. The blue magical grasp wraps around the objects of her desire: the gems. Not only does she encompass diamonds upon herself, but also as a physical object, willing to be touched and mended to her liking.
With glee spread upon her face she continues her long trot, the steady continuous pace unaltered. The environment around her: so bright, so right. Trees sway gently in the breeze, their branches rocking slightly as their leaves float slowly to the ground, decorating the path with their bright shades of red, yellow, and green. The cool crisp air clings to the coat of this gem gatherer, gliding over her fur with ease.
A voice calls out to her, stopping all of her being. She sighs, changing her direction to the sounds of a familiar masculine tone calling her attention. Then, she trots back, her pace restarting. However, this being is not staying at one pace, the full rapid clip-clopping displacing the dirt that was once at peace.
The sounds of rejoice fill the air, the mare now being gripped by a separate entity: a tall giant that stood on two rather oddly shaped feet, surrounded by nothing but the brown texture of another.
The two creatures laugh in unison, the shared bond apparent. The mare smiles and nuzzles the shoulder of the other. The giant returns with a bright grin as he ruffles the once proud, majestic form of her mane. This causes her to growl and voice her opinions.
She calls him by name, a foreign one from beyond the stars a pony would say. However, he is all but foreign now, she would say, her smile would be wider than most.
He replies with kind, her name leaving his lips in a more-than-sarcastic tone. She grumbles and squirms in his grip, causing him to laugh.
Friends,
Bond.
Fiends,
Wronged.
Never would she see him again like this, she would say.
Tight-knit,
Truths.
Uncomfortable fit,
False sleuths.
He would agree, the circumstances would never fit, but he would also say that he is approving of it.
Protest,
No chance.
Detest,
Blinded radiance.
The two stare in silence.
Will you walk?
Destined to talk,
Destined to sulk,
Yet no real rhyme or reason to deny the gems that we carry?
He sees hers.
Yet no real reason to rhyme of said artifacts?
He would ask her about them.
She would respond in kind with her daily excuses, wanting to evade the situation of her customers' orders.
He would be sorry, apologetic, his eyes set forth and glimmering in the sun.
Like… diamonds.
She would recognize this, but only if she was not blinded by her own. Instead, her eyes peer forward, the glossy haze blocking her once chic shine. Those purple pools of distinct loss…
The giant stands firm, defiant in his placement as he begins to retaliate her hazy glare.
He asks if she is okay.
She stays silent.
He asks if he did something wrong.
She simply shakes her head.
He asks if he said something…
...she would say he did.
The breeze rolls in, the once gentle wind now hangs over the two, blowing their glorious manes into disarray, dismantling the previously festive looks into their own deviations of chaos.
He would wait.
She would wait.
The two would wait together, hoping for the other to speak.
But the two would not…
Could not…
Will not…
...until the diamonds are shown.
Rarity sighs, gripping onto her desires with care. She shows her loyal friend her precious treasures that she acquired from today’s hunt.
She generously floats them over to him, her eyes glued to his face, wanting to see his reaction.
His face could not comprehend these wondrous rarities, the sight of them dropping the drawbridge he had not intended to release. He grips the crystals with care, as if the gems were his long lost children. Diamonds: something that even giants could not risk losing. After getting a good look, he looks back at her, her azure gaze plastered to his. He moves forward and presents her her little desires.
He waits.
She waits.
They wait.
She grasps it with her third limb, her horn blazing brightly in wake of the afternoon sun, who rests his gaze upon the scene.
The interaction is complete.
But she is not done as she leans forward to whisper into his ear.
He blushes lightly, feeling her warm breath tickle his ear.
Once she's done, she pulls away, a smirk gracing her face.
He would ask her why.
She would smile and tell him that not all ladies would spill every detail of their secrets on the first go.
He would groan, while she would bask in the dismay of the giant.
She would say until next time.
He would ask when that is.
She would stop, her muzzle scrunching up while her hoof gently tapped against the white underside of it.
He would be worried, knowing that there was no chance she would be available until the next year.
She would see him,
He would see her,
And she would calmly state,
“Whenever you’d like.”
