Devils and Demons

Fighting trough the endless hordes of elites, David and john both had used up almost all their ammutition for their respective main weapons thus making them have to resort to hand to hand combat and taking enemy weaponry. David drew his knife and threw it right at Chief who ducked and saw purple blood cover his visor. grabbing the knife, he threw it back and David caught it so he could stab and elite in the neck. "Chief, this feels way to easy" David thought aloud before he took the elites plasma rifle and shot an elite that just entered the corridor. Pulling out his pistol david ran to the end of the hall and put his gun in the jaw of another elite, but quickly put his foot on its chest and pushed off, his armor getting grazed by a energy sword. "About time one of you slit jawed ugly mother fuckers give me an actual challange."

"Spartan back off, that is a Zealot class" Chief ordered but David quickly charged the elite, dogging sword strikes and punches. Firing off three rounds close range from his pistol, David spun around to elites back and stabbed him in the neck, killing the Zealot elite.

"Well, not much of a challange still." David said removing his clip and counting the rounds before replacing it. "And remember Chief, I've killed Zealot elites before I became a Spartan and don't forget, I kinda out rank you." David said giving Chief a cocky grin that was unfortunatly hidden. Shortly afterwards they arrived at the Corvette's command deck. Finding the last elite, it pressed a button on the control panel.

"Ten minutes until self destruction" a voice came over the ships P.A. system.

"You got to be fucking kidding" David said as he fired off two rounds, hitting the elite in both eyes before rushing him and snapping its neck in one swift movement. Grabbing his DMR, which had one clip left, he secured his sniper secured to his back and pistole to his hip. "If this thing goes, it will take out half of Equestria." David said punching the dead elite into a where it made a nice dent into the the wall.

"Cortana, hack the ship and see if you cant stop it" Chief ordered his a.i. companion. Doing as she was told the a.i. started to work.

"Five minutes till self destrct." the voice announced Cortana's failure.

"Shit" all three said at the same time.

"We do have one option, we got to set the slipspace into overdrive, it'll take the ship with it." Chief said looking at David. "But we dont have a detonator"

"So in short, one of us wont make it out of here" David said shortly.

Chief handed David his dog tags. "I'll do it, you have family and friends that love you. So here." He went to remove Cortana's A.I. chip.
"Don't you dare think I'm not going with you on this one." Cortana said, making Chief freeze. "I wont let you do this alone, I don't know what I'm experiencing, but I won't let you do this alone"

Chief nodded and David turned to head back to the service. "Love, that's what you feel Cortana." He said and grabbed Chief's hand, taking the dog tags "Thank you Chief, you've been one hell of a battle buddy." He said and started to walk out, tears starting to form, thanking Celestia for his helmet "see you in Valhalla" with that he took off.

"Hey John, can over load it from here." Stepping out in front of John she touched his chest and her other on the console "once David is clear, i'll overload it" Chief nodded "I'll need your to press that button over there, I can only override this one." Chief nodded and walked the few feet to the opposite panel. "Chief, he is clear, 3,2,1" on that count the slip space started to go into overdrive.

"To Valhalla" Chief said as he took off his helmet. Cortana walked over to him and layed her head on his chest as the ship dissapered into nothingness. Opening his eyes, Chief was laying in a field in his armor. Cortana next to him.

"Well look who finally showed up" a large figure said as it leaned down to him John up "hey Kelly, look who it is"

"So long, sierra 117" David said as he looked back at the now empty void in the ground that was behind him.

"Sir, I hate to inform you but a mayday is coming in from Canterlot, the discord, Sombra and Chrysalis are all attacking, Celestia and Luna are doing what they can to fend the three off."

David smiled. "Well Delta put yourself in a Pelican and come get me."

"On my way sir" Delta replied.

"So, that is what we are dealing with then?" David asked as he restocked his ammo and placed a jetpack on his back "and you say that Celestia, Luna and the others are being held in the throne room?" said as he walked over to the air lock.

"That is correct sir, and we have received ransom, all of Equestria and you for the hostages." Delta said to which David Chuckled

"Well, they don't want much.Delta, your with me, Church" David said looking over at the now human sized blue A.I. standing in the command deck "stay here in orbit, and perhaps get the girls something to eat in the mess hall, the automative service will do the preparation, veggie diet only"

"Well, how about you go fuck your self" Church said

"Church..." David said giving him a look "remember I can still program Caboose"

"Veggie lunch, right away"

A pair of lavander arms quickly surround the Spartan "please save Celestia and my family" she said with tears swelling up in her eyes" looking back David gave a reassuring smile as he put on his helmet.

"Don't worry, they'll be safe" letting go of the spartan Twilight went back to her friends. he looked over at Fluttershy "I'm sorry" he said right before the air lock slammed shut and the door that touched space opened, sending the Spartan out into space and into free fall, aiming right for Canterlot. Spinning to his feet David turned on his jet pack burning all its fuel before he detached from in and broke through the ceiling of the throne room, doing a hero landing directly in the middle of a group of changlings. Standing up David from the smoke, steam still burning the moisture in the air from his free fall through the atmosphere.

"So demon, its about time you got here" Discord said with a smile on his face.

"Yeah, now, lets dance."

Hey everypony, after dealing with some hard times, and other personal issues, I finally got feeling well enough to write in the next installment, and I'm not done yet. There will be more to come. So strap in, prepare to drop and feet first into hell!
