Now that that's out of the way, thank you all who have made this series of stories by best works yet, and sorry for taking so long to update the latest chapter, i've had quite a few issues emotionally pop up, but i'll try to get more up quicker. happy new years everypony!

Chapter 4: Allies and Enemies

Thud...Thud...Thud...

"Chief, its no good. We cant get out"...

Looking at the A.I. in his vizor, John paused, "We will get out. And I will get answers from Celestia"

-One Week Ago-

A blinding light came over the Forward onto Dawn, and both Cortana, and John 117 were teleported into a underground diamond walled prison. Appearing in the small dark room with a blinding flash of light, stood a women, with equine features and a flowing rainbow main grinning down at him. "you're under arrest for invading, you alien scum, and under my authority, Princess Celestia, i hear by sentience you to death." the women said, turning, her eyes flicked green as she vanished from the darkened crystal prison.

After about one week, a flash of green flame appeared and chief turned to see a female, with what appeared to be a black bug shell skin, but equine like body. "who are you!" Chief demanded.

Chuckling evilly, Chrysalis smiled as she bowed "My name, is Queen Chrysalis, and I am here to get you out, but you just need to do one thing, bring down Celestia, she has oppressed my people leading many to die of starvation" Chrysalis said as she looked over the thing before her. ~I dont know what this thing is, but its powerful~

Weighing his options, it appeared Celestia was bad, and needed to be stopped, nodding, Chief agreed. "Deal" he said dryly.

Chucking "talking ponies and bugs! WHERE DEAD AND THIS IS JUST HELL!" she yelled in a distorted voice, having floated through space for four years after three years of deployment would make an A.I. a little rampant. "I..I'm sorry, i dont know."

With a smile, Chrysalis teleported all three of them to the bad lands. "That direction is the minotaur homeland, Celestia's heir is going to be there, if you want Celestia, go after her heir." Chrysalis said, keeping the lie of the evil dictator Celestia, too fool the demon in front of her.

-Everfree Forest-

Quiet, too Quiet, no owls hooting, or bats screeching, no bugs chirping. Something was out there, something was hunting them. Looking to his left, David noticed Twilight had fallen asleep, and her arms, legs, would twitch slightly, her breathing became strained, she was having a nightmare, and a bad one.

~Twilight happily walked down stairs just as spike answered the door, then -boom- in a cloud of fire and smoke, spike flew back and hit the far end of the library. then, in the middle of the room stood three minotaurs, she commanded her body to move, but it wouldn't, she was froze in place, she tried to scream "David " but her voice failed her. Grabbing her and pinning her, the minotaurs smiled as the stripped the princess, grinning as she now lay bare in front of them, exposed, and vulnerable.

A minotaur stood behind her, tears streaming down her face, pleading silently for them to end it as the minotaur lied himself up to her entrance. He smiled as he spoke in a wicked voice that would match that of the most evil of villains. "Your gonna suffer ~Princess~"

"TWILIGHT!" yelled a familiar voice, a safe voice, as a figure of light entered, and shattered her dreaming, bring the princess back to reality.

As her eyes shot open, she saw David had stopped the jeep, and was standing next to her, a concerned expression upon his face. "You okay there Twi?" he asked, calling her by her pet name that her friends called her, hoping it would calm her down. Sweat covered her body, the fur on her cheeks matted with tears. Not thinking, she lunged and wrapped her arms around David and started to sob.

"Really bad dream uh?" David asked as he patted Twilight's back as she held onto him for dear life. "your okay now, dont worry.:" Twilight's sobs started to end and she let go. "you gonna be okay? it looked really bad.

"I had a dream about the night you saved me, except, they..." she trailed off "but, i dont get it, Luna can sense bad dreams, really bad ones, why didn't she stop it." she asked looking down. "does it have something to do with Celestia wanting to see me, and you escorting me?" she asked looking up, seeing a cold expression on Davids face.

"I hope not, for your sake" he said as he walked around and got back in the Warthog and took off towards Canterlot Castle. Arriving withing a half hour of resuming the trip from Ponyville. Stepping into the throne room, David noticed Celestia and Luna talking back and forth, only noticing his and Twilight's entrances when she flew over to Celestia.

"Princess Celestia!" She said cheerfully! Turning with fake smiles, both Celestia and Luna froze as they saw David, both speechless. Celestia had memories of Spartans that fought alone side, and against her back when the humans came to Equestria Thirteen thousand years ago. Celestia smiled, knowing Twilight, and Equestria would be a lot safer with him like this, Luna could only on, her jaw laying on the floor, her wings spread out before she composed her self.

"You look good" she said blushing "very good" Luna finally spoke, almost like a school filly would when she spoke to her crush

David smiled, but it soon vanished as he sat his helmet on the ground. and whispered into Luna's ear "Is there a way that a pony could have a spell put on them that would prevent you from seeing a nightmare" he said glancing at Twilight, Luna catching his hint.

Whispering back, Luna swallowed her spit "only two ways a pony could have a nightmare without my knowledge, either it manifest itself into something beyond my power, or a pony who is long dead would curse a pony." she said in a low whisper.

Nodding, David stood upright and looked at Celestia. "so, what is all this about, there has to be a great concern for you to want me defending Twilight?" he asked looking at a scroll in her hands.

"The Minotaurs want to make peace, with Princess Twilight." She said looking over at her former student. "Saying it would be an honor to meet the newly crowned Princess and form a bond between the nations." Celestia took a deep breath. "I want you to tag along. Just as extra security." ~Because something doesn't sit right~ she thought to herself.
