Around a block away you can feel the vibration of the bass in your hooves. You smile to yourself as you think of how fun and crazy it was last time you were here. You arrive at the front door where a bouncer meets you. He looks at you expectantly. "What’s your name." "Grey Beat." He looks down his list of names. "Go on in." He says. As you make your way inside the noise hits you like a cart full of hay. You instantly smile as the music hits your ears. a nice fast tempo with a steady bass. You look around at the crowd of ponies jumping up and down to the music. "GREY!" you hear a mare call."GET YOUR ASS OVER HERE!" You look to your left and see a green and orange mare waving at you. You smile as you make your way over to her at the bar. "THIS PLACE IS FUCKING AMAZING MAN, THANKS FOR THE DIRECTIONS!" She screams You sit down at the bar and look at the button on the table. You press the button and everything goes quiet. "Those activate noise canceling crystals." Dawn says. "They block out sound so people can have conversations without screaming" "I know, I work here." You said with a grin."I would have a drink with you but I've got to go on stage in a few minutes. "You work here!?" She asks in disbelief. "As in you’re going to be playing some of the sick shit this guy is playing?" "Yeah, but I only play for an hour. I'm the local veteran at this joint." You say proudly. "That's some pretty sick shit dude. Anyway... I was wondering if I could crash at your place for the night.” "Why?" you ask surprised. A pale red crosses her face "I like hanging out with you" She smiles. "Yeah, it's fine if you stay over." You smile at her. She gets up and hugs you "Thank you." "So Mrs. Dawn Clover." Asks the bartender. "The drink will be five bits" "Don't worry Dawn I've got it." You say after opening your saddlebag with your magic, levitating five golden coins to the bartender. "Want to come backstage and see my setup?" You ask her. "Really?" She asks astonished. "That would be the coolest!" "Okay then lets go." You lead her through the crowd looking at the ponies around you. You see two ponies at a table quickly trade a few bits for a bag of pills. You looked disgusted at the deal that just happened. You walk to the door that leads backstage and see another bouncer, a big stallion whose muscles were bulging through his black t-shirt. "Names." The stallion said You give an annoyed sigh "Grey Beat and my friend Dawn Clover." He looks through his list and gives you a nod. "Go on in." You lead Dawn through the door and immediately get welcomes from other DJ's. You see a large mirror to the left of the room and walk towards it. You see your reflection. A slim stallion with a white coat and black mane. Your mane is straight down and hangs down in front of your blue eyes. Your cutie mark, a quarter note. "Hello, Equestria to Grey Beat, come in Grey Beat." You hear to your right. You look at the grinning mare next to you. "You looked like you were mind-fucking your reflection." She said laughing a little. "At least I don't have a clover on my ass." You say to her. Only making her laugh harder. "Anyway this is my set up." You say leading her into your dressing room. It's a small room with tan wallpaper with a desk and mirror. In the corner is your most prized possession, your deck. On the desk are your sunglasses. Tinted black so no one can see your eyes. "Whoa." Dawn says in amazement. "This place is awesome." "Yeah, well I've got to go on stage now so if you want to listen to this sick beat go out and find somewhere where you won't get trampled." You look around and take out your contacts, revealing your grey eyes. Smiling proudly at your eyes you put on your sunglasses. You walk on stage with your black and white deck. As soon as you emerged on stage the crowd blows up in a fit of cheers. You smile, happy to see all your fans cheering at your mere presence. You grab the mic off the stand. "IS EVERYPONY READY?" You shout. The crowd yells in response. "WELL THEN LET'S BRING THE NOISE!" You go over to your deck and press a button, activating a soft "dun dun dun dun" continuously. You slowly slide a bar forward increasing the tempo and volume of the beat you have set already. You press another button which speeds up the pace of the beat. Then you quickly throw a few switches and turn a few knobs and press some buttons and at the climax of the beat you have set up a large "BOOM" erupts from the speakers as the rest of the track plays out. The crowd goes nuts as the club is filled with your music. You see Dawn in the back smiling at you while dancing to the music. As the track comes to an end it occurs to you that your boss, Spinning Record, is motioning you to go over to him. You grab the microphone and say. "We are experiencing technical difficulties from backstage. I'll be back in a second." You walk over to meet Record. A medium sized stallion with a pitch black coat and charcoal mane with red eyes. "Yeah, boss?" you ask, mildly annoyed. "There are some problems in the club and we are closing it down for a few weeks for repair and shit like that." He said "Oh, well damn." You said, a little depressed "You will still get payed the same amount you do for an hour at the club and we will send you a one-hundred bit paycheck every week." He said. "But you won't be able to come here for a little while. So at this time we are asking everyone to leave." "Okay well let me pack up real quick." He nods and you quickly get to your deck and pick up the microphone. "Looks like we have to cut this one short. But there will be some more noise in a few weeks, don't worry." There was a series of "awe's" and you walked off stage with your deck in a white glow. As you get to your dressing room you see Dawn waiting there with a smile on her face. You smile as you see her. "That was some awesome shit man." She said happily. "lets get going." "Yeah, I agree." You say. "Well lets go I guess" You take off your glasses and put in your contacts as quickly as possible so Dawn doesn't notice. As you two make your way out of the club you walk over to the stallion dealing the drugs. He smiles as you walk over to him. "Hey man want to meet my friend, Molly?" He says. You respond by taking his head and slamming it into the table with enough force to crack the wood. You pick up his head and see he is missing a few teeth. You assume you broke his nose as well. "You come back here and I will rip your godessdamned throat out." You look over to a shocked Dawn. "Damn, man that was brutal." "He shouldn't have been selling drugs." You say while making your way out of the club. You make your way outside and look to your left. You smile at the sign saying "Manehattan night club." You are at your apartment building about 3 blocks away from the club when you arrive at the complexes front door. You make your way to the elevator and hit the number 3. You get off the elevator and go down the hallway until you see the door numbered "317". You unlock the doors and say. "Welcome to the Casa de Grey Beat." Dawn laughs and enters your apartment. "Nice place. Where do you want me to crash?" She asks "Take any place you want really." You say. As you drop you saddlebags and climb into bed. "Okay." She says as she jumps up into bed with you and cuddles closer. "It's been an awesome night man, thanks." You smile. "No problem Dawn." where the last words you say before drifting off into sleep.
The BeginningView OnlineAn Equestria in RedThe BeginningYou wake up next to Dawn. You hear your television blaring the emergency broadcasting tone. You go over to it and see what it is. You see a stallion with a microphone in what looks to be Canterlot. He had a worried look on his face. "A mysterious virus has swept through the Canterlot region of Equestria causing bodies of dead Equestrians to reanimate. They seem to have a craving for anything that's alive. They don't respond to pain and don't speak." He looks to his right and goes as white as a ghost. "AAAAAAAHHHHHHH!" The reporter screams as a pony jumps on him and rips out a chunk of his foreleg with his teeth causing crimson liquid to gush from his open wound. You stare, mouth open in shock at what you just saw. You race into the bedroom and shake Dawn awake."DAWN GET YOUR ASS AWAKE WE NEED TO MOVE NOW!" You scream and with a surge of adrenaline you hoist the mare onto your back and gallop to the living room. "GREY! WHAT THE FUCK! WHAT'S GOING ON!" Dawn screams at you. "There are crazy fucking cannibals in Canterlot!" You say as you go back to your room, grab your saddlebags, and go back to the living room where Dawn is. "Where are we going to go?" She asks. "We are going to the market to grab some supplies and then we are coming straight back here. The guards will handle this problem." You make your way to the elevator with all the bits you have saved while working at the club. You walk out onto the bottom floor and go through the door. You and Dawn start galloping to the market. You found it strange that no one was outside at this hour. You hope you have enough bits to buy a decent amount of supplies. You reach the market and stare in horror. Bodies litter the market area and blood is splayed across the walls of shops. "What the fuck is going on?" Dawn asks. You look over to her and see her shaking with tears streaming down her cheeks. "I have no clue." You say with a hollow tone in your voice. ~~~~~ 12 hours ago, Somewhere in Canterlot ~~~~~ A stallion is pushed into a glass chamber by a group of ponies in lab coats. "PLEASE DON'T DO THIS! I'M BEGGING YOU!" The stallion pleaded, whilst being strapped into a chair. "I HAVE A WIFE AND FOALS!" A lab pony pulls a lever and a needle injects a pale yellow liquid into him. The stallion screams and then goes limp. "You there." A lab pony points to a stallion near the chamber door."Go check his vitals." The lab pony nods and opens the door to the chamber. He raises a stethoscope to the test subjects’ heart and listens. "No heart beat and he's not breathing." The stallion says in defeat. "LOOK OUT!" A stallion shouts from nowhere. The lab pony looks up at the dead stallion and before he mutters another word the stallion rips out his throat and breaks his restraints. The lab pony on the ground is wide eyed in fear as he watches the contents of his life form a puddle around his almost lifeless body. He tries to talk but blood sputters out his throat. The "dead" stallion staggers over to the others that are staring in shock. The stallion then lunges toward another lab pony and is met with a hoof to the jaw. "GET THE FUCK AWAY FROM ME!" The lab pony screams in horror. The stallion lunges at the lab pony who assaulted him and bites the side of his face, tearing off the left half of his lips, as well as a large portion of his face. "AGGGHHH!" The lab pony screams as he holds his mutilated face. The entire lab erupts in a chaotic rumble as ponies dart left and right trying to avoid the monster that they have created. "Everyone get to the exits!" A mare screams. "We need to get out of here!" You felt like you were punched in the ribs. Confused, you look around to see who had punched you. You try to talk but it feels like your mouth is welded shut. Then the colors slowly drain until all you see is black and white. The street turns upside down as you fall to the ground. You see Dawn screaming at you but no sound comes out of her mouth. You look down at your body and see dark black spreading from a small hole in your abdomen. Shortly after, you black out. You feel something splatter your coat as you stare at the carnage. You look to your right and see Grey with a hole the size of a pencil in his side. "GREY!" You scream. Tears flowing from your eyes. "GREY, GREY, GREY OH MY GODDESS, GREY!" You look at him as he falls down and starts forming a puddle of blood beneath him. He closes his eyes and goes still. You pick him up in your levitation field and start galloping back to his house. You gallop at full speed up the stairs, almost tripping up them. You bust open the door to his apartment and lay him on a table. You search his fridge and take out a bottle of vodka and grab a rag from next to the sink. You run over to the pony bleeding out on the table and pour the vodka in the bullet wound. You then take the rag and press it against the hole. You run over to his bedroom and search through the dresser. You take out some rope and race back to Grey. You tie the rag to his wound. "I'll be right back." You say while racing out the door.
LonelyView OnlineAn Equestria in RedLonelyYou wake up from what seemed to be a very long unnatural sleep. You look around and notice you’re back in your apartment. “Dawn!” you scream, making your side feel like it was being torn apart. You look over your body and see bandages around your midsection. What happened to me? You get up from the table, your joints popping from the lack of movement over the long period of time. You hobble to your bedroom and look inside. “Dawn?” nothing. Then a flood of memories come back to you. You hearing the news then rushing outside for supplies with Dawn, getting injured somehow. You walk back out to the living room and notice that there is a half-empty bottle of vodka on the table. Deciding that it’s best to test your magic, you pick the bottle up in your levitation field, hovering it over to your mouth and taking a swig of the delicious alcohol. You open your door and look around. You take a step out and a huge green stallion comes running towards you. You slam the door shut as the stallion beats on it with his hooves. Oh shit, not good you think yo your self. You go over to your kitchen and look around. You find a kitchen knife and a broom. You prop the wooden broom against the countertop and give it a good stomp, smashing the head of the broom off leaving you with a wooden pole. You proceed to open the door as the stallion lunges in at you. You swing the pole as hard as you can with your levitation and the stallion stumbles, tumbling over and dropping to the ground. You jump on top of him with the kitchen knife in your white aura. You position the blade of the knife at his throat and quickly jerk the knife to the right, slitting the stallions throat. You jump back, feeling hollow. I just killed somepony! Sweet Celestia I just fucking KILLED somepony! The stallion gets up and starts walking towards you. “Impossible!” you scream as you jump at him, stabbing him in the side of the head multiple times, trying to penetrate the skull. “AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!” you bellow in rage as you keep stabbing him. You get up off of the corpse, inhaling deeply, sides feeling like they have been cut open. You grab your saddlebag and put the knife and vodka inside of it. You walk out the door and into the hallway. Staring at the blood ridden walls, you continue towards the elevator. You press the down button, nothing. You groan as you trot over to the stairs. Slowly making your way down the steps. You step into the lobby and real at the corpses littering the floor. Gagging, you make your way to the front door. You step outside and see the destroyed city of Manehattan. You can’t help but feel depressed as your hometown was turned into nothing more than a ruin. Walking down the main street you notice a small group of those things piled around a wagon. You hear grunts as you see a large black griffin chopping them down with its razor sharp talons. You levitate our your knife and start running towards the griffin. You sneak behind one and jam your knife into its eye, leaving it to fall onto the ground. You repeat this process a few more times until its just you and the griffin. “Thanks for that, I owe you one.” He says, “my name’s Kiate” the griffin states. “I’m Grey Beat, nice to…meet y-” you slip into unconsciousness. You wake up inside of a wagon and look around, spotting Kiate sitting in the corner. You notice it is around midnight.“Kiate” you say, startling the griffin. “What happened out there man?” The bird says, worriedly, “I thought you were going to turn into one of the zompony things.” “I-I just kind of blacked out.” “What’s with the bandages?” “I was out getting supplies from the market and I think I got shot.” “You think you got shot?” “Yeah, I felt a pain in my side then I fell and blacked out” you explain. “Speaking of which have you seen a green and orange mare anywhere around here?” “No, I haven’t” “Oh” you say gloomily “What’s her name?” “Dawn Clover” “What happened?” “Well like I said I got shot-” you hear a moan from outside the wagon door. You stop talking immediately, afraid to attract the undead to your resting position. You slowly look up and peek out a window, spotting endless hordes of zomponies. You whisper to the griffin, “we need to get out of here” “I know man, just be calm” “I’m trying to, just… we need to go” “alright, here put these over your hooves” he says, passing you some strips of cloth, “these will dampen the noise your hooves makes against the concrete”. You strap the cloth to your hooves and gently step out of the wagon. You levitate out your knife while slowly walk towards an office building. A zompony emerges from the back of the wagon and starts to moan. Before it lets out even a single syllable you plunge the knife deep into its throat, severing its spinal column and gently laying the incapacitated zombie onto the ground, spearing it in the head. Why am I good at killing things? you think, startled. How did Manehattan come to this? you contemplate, a single tear sliding down your face. You open the door to the office building, making your way inside. You notice the ominous silence that has cascaded over the area. “Try to get some sleep, we are going to need it tomorrow” you say, “look for anything that can be useful as well” “um, Grey?” “yes?” You look over to Kiate and see him extending his talon towards a cubical, noticing a scoped rifle in the doorway. “do you think you got shot by a rifle?” “oh shit.”
