The Hearts and Hooves Day Prom

The next day was pretty much ordinary like any other day in Ponyville. Rumble was waiting for Button Mash to meet him at his house so that they could walk to school together. After many minutes of waiting Rumble was starting to get annoyed,

"Where are you Button? You were suppose to get here 5 minutes ago" he said.

Rumble kept waiting and waiting, until he saw a brown Colt walking towards him,

"Button!, what took you so long?" Rumble asked.

"I uhh didn't get enough sleep!" Button said.

"Let me guess, you stayed up all night playing video games didn't you?" Rumble said.

"Whatever it doesn't matter!, let's just go to school." Button said.

Rumble rolled his eyes and walked with Button Mash.

Meanwhile...

The Crusaders were sitting under a tree looking desperately for a Colt that they could love. They looked for Colts and found new ones to add to the list.

"The plan is simple!, we get my sister Rarity to make us beautiful dresses so that we can impress all the Colts in our school, and they'll have to ask us to the prom the instant they lay eyes on us!" Sweetie Belle said.

"Sweetie Belle!, your a genius! I don't know why you pick those Colts though, they're bullies to us! Scootaloo said.

"Hey if it's any Colt than that's good, I was in a rush making this alright?" Sweetie Belle said.

"Anyways, we can go straight after school!" Apple Bloom cheered.

Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon heard their plan in a nearby bush.

"Make themselves all pretty huh?, how about we ruin their little plan." Diamond Tiara said.

"Hey look!, new Blank Flanks." Silver Spoon said while pointing to Rumble and Button who were on their way to the Crusaders.

Button Mash and Rumble arrived at the school, and both looked very nervous.

"Hey look!, it's Button Mash and Rumble!" Scootaloo said.

The Crusaders looked at them, and Button and Rumble waved to them. They started making their way towards them, but they were shaking nervously as they noticed that all the ponies at the playground stared at them.

"Hi girls!" they both said.

"Hey guys!" Scootaloo said.

"Why ya'll shaking?" Apple Bloom asked.

"Because, everypony here just stares at us while we came up to you." Button Mash said.

"Yea that's what all the ponies do in our class, every time there's a new pony, they stare you down to death." Sweetie Belle said.

"Which reminds me Sweetie Belle, when is the Hearts and Hooves Day Prom?" Scootaloo asked.

"On Friday this week." Sweetie Belle responded.

Button Mash and Rumble's eyes were wide open when Scootaloo said Prom.

"Hey Button can I talk to you for a moment?" Rumble asked.

"Nah, I'm good." Button responsed.

Rumble rolled his eyes and hit him on the shoulder.

"okay!, okay!, I'm going!" Button complained.

When they reached a safe distance from the Crusaders Rumble said,

"Did you hear that?, there's going to be a Prom!"

"Yea so?" Button responded.

"So, we can ask them to the prom you idiot!" Rumble said.

"I'm pretty sure they don't feel that way towards us." Button said in a sad tone.

"Then again, I kinda want Sweetie Belle to go with me to the dance." Button continued staring at Sweetie Belle and blushing lightly.

"Don't worry!, we'll get Scootaloo to like me!, I have a plan!" Rumble said

"What about helping me with Sweetie Belle?" Button asked.

"You'll help me get Scootaloo first! Then I'll help you with Sweetie Belle." Rumble replied

"Rumble!, Button Mash!, you guys done yet?" Scootaloo called out.

They both walked back towards them.

"What took ya'll so long?" Apple Bloom asked.

"Oh, uhh nothing we were just talking about the school!" Rumble said.

"Speaking of school!, how about we give you a tour of the place!" Sweetie Belle said.

"Sure!" They both said enthusiastically.

The Crusaders smiled at them and they started walking their way to the playground. Button Mash and Rumble followed.

"Here's the playground obviously, here you'll find most of the ponies in our class." Sweetie Belle said.

Some of them looked at Button and and Rumble as they were shaking nervously.

The school bell rang and the Crusaders said,

Well I guess we have to go inside, ya'll want to meet the teacher first when you go in." Apple Bloom said.

The Crusaders started making their way inside, Button Mash and Rumble followed. When they got in, Miss Cheerilee noticed them and said,

"Hi girls!, and it looks like we got new students in my class!

She smiled at them happily as they both smiled back and said,

"Hi!"

"You both can choose anywhere to sit!" Miss Cheerilee said.

They both looked at the empty seats behind the Crusaders and chose to sit there. The rest of the class came in and looked for their seats. As the class settled in, Miss Cheerilee announced,

"Good morning my little ponies!, we have two new Colts in our class, so don't be rude to them."

The whole class looked at Rumble and Button Mash, both of them just looked down as they were nervous.

Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon looked at them but not as long as the other ponies in their class did.

"I think we just found new ponies to bully!" Diamond Tiara whispered.

"Who?, the brown Colt or the gray Colt?" Silver Spoon asked.

"Well both of them, but don't forget that Sweetie Belle is going to pay for what she did to me yesterday!" Diamond Tiara said.

Silver Spoon giggled from the comment Diamond made, remembering her friend screaming and running away.

Meanwhile, back to the Crusaders.

"Ugh, once again another boring lesson!" Scootaloo complained.

"Scoots that's all you ever talk about, hating school." Apple Bloom said.

"How can you like school?, it's boring!" Scootaloo exclaimed.

"Well Rumble and Button are lucky, they don't even get homework today!" Sweetie Belle complained.

The three young fillies turned around and saw Rumble fast asleep. On the other hand, Button Mash was playing on his Joyboy.

"Button, what's that?" Scootaloo asked.

"My Joyboy." he responded.

"Yea but what does it do?" Sweetie Belle asked.

"I play video games on it!, there so much fun!" Button replied.

Rumble kept sleeping on his desk as the other ponies in the class noticed him, the Colts just laughed and the Fillies just smiled at him thinking he was cute.

After a long 2 hours of learning, it was time for lunch. The Crusaders offered Rumble and Button Mash to sit with them.

"So how ya'll like the school?" Apple Bloom asked.

"It's great!, and the teachers very nice!" Button said happily.

"Eh, it's ok I guess." Rumble said trying to act cool.

"Rumble you fell asleep in class!, so how would you know!" Button said.

Rumble blushed at the comment, embarrassed as his friends just laughed at him and said,

"Well how about you!, you didn't pay attention either, and you played on your Joyboy!, Scootaloo told me!"

Now it was Button's turn to be embarrassed.

Rumble heard giggling from the distance and turned his head. He noticed a small group of Fillies looking at him, and they waved to him happily. He looked at the empty spot at their table, and he took the chance. All Rumble wanted to do was hang with the Fillies. He always showed off about his handsomeness, and how he would always get the Fillies. He got up from the table, and he started making his way towards the group.

"Hey!, where's Rumble going?" Sweetie Belle asked.

Button turned his head towards Rumble and smirked at him.

"He's just going to get some Fillies, all he does is brag about how handsome he looks, and how all the Fillies can't kept their hooves off of him." Button said.

Scootaloo looked towards Rumble and saw him talking with the other Fillies. She had a weird sensation in her heart, a feeling that she had never felt before. Scootaloo frowned and her friends noticed her frowning.

"What's wrong Scootaloo?" Apple Bloom asked.

"I don't know, I have a weird feeling about Rumble, and how he's talking to other Fillies." Scootaloo answered.

Suddenly, they all smiled at their friend.

"What?" Scootaloo asked.

"Your jealous aren't you?" Sweetie Belle teased.

"NO, I don't like him!, I just, uh." Scootaloo said.

"Oh yea!, sure!, you so love him!" Apple Bloom teased.

"No, it's just... I feel weird when he's around other Fillies." Scootaloo said.

"That's jealousy Scootaloo." Sweetie Belle said.

"I'm not jealous!, I don't even like him!, I have no feelings for him whatsoever!" Scootaloo argued.

"Yep your in love with him!" Apple Bloom teased.

Scootaloo sighed in defeat. She gave up, and decided not to talk.

The four of them heard Rumble talking and they also saw the Fillies giggling and laughing from the way Rumble acted.

Scootaloo looked carefully to what he was doing, and sure enough he was acting the coolest he could be. Scootaloo kept staring at him and her friends looked at her with smiles on their faces.

Rumble was smiling happily as the Fillies at his table were laughing from the jokes and stories he told them, and he was impressed by the way he acted on his first day of school. He expected that nopony would like him, but soon enough more Colts and Fillies noticed him and thought he was cool. So, they went to his table and Rumble felt popular.

Rumble's friends looked over at him in jealousy.

"W-why does he get all the fame and not me?" Button complained.

"That's because your hanging out with us." Scootaloo said in disappointment.

"What do you mean?" Button asked.

Sweetie Belle sighed and said,

"Nopony in our class talks to us because we get bullied a lot about not having our Cutie Marks."

"But Rumble doesn't have a Cutie Mark either!, and look! He's famous!" Button yelled.

Rumble came back to his friends and he saw them giving him jealousy faces.

"What?" Rumble asked in confusion.

"What were you talking about back there?" Button asked in curiosity.

"W-we weren't talking about anything!" Rumble said quickly.

"Uh huh sure!" Button replied.

Rumble looked at Scootaloo and he smiled at her. Scootaloo noticed him and she instantly looked away blushing lightly.

Scootaloo's friends saw, and they smiled.

"So Scoots, Rumble's back" Apple Bloom said.

"S-so what!" Scootaloo yelled.

"Don't you want to..." Sweetie Belle started.

"Do what?" Scootaloo asked.

Sweetie Belle looked at Rumble and back to Scootaloo, and Scootaloo knew what she meant.

"N-no don't even think about it!" Scootaloo warned.

"Scootaloo and Rumble sitting in a-" Sweetie Belle sang.

Then Scootaloo cut her off by putting her hoof on her mouth not allowing her to talk.

"Wait where were we sitting?" Rumble asked, causing Scootaloo to blush hard.

"Uh nothing! Ignore what she said. She likes to sing a ton!" Scootaloo said quickly.

"Wait?, you can sing?" Button asked.

"I uh, not all the time! I don't really sing very much but I'm good at it." Sweetie Belle said shyly.

Suddenly, they heard a voice from the distance.

"Look who it is! The Cutie Mark crybabies and two more Blank Flanks!" Dianond Tiara said, walking up to them while Silver Spoon followed.

"What do you want Diamond Tiara!" Apple Bloom yelled.

"Oh nothing, just wanted to say hi to the new Blank Flanks." Diamond Tiara said waving to the two Colts.

"Um hey?" Rumble said.

"Diamond Tiara leave us alone! And get outta here" Sweetie Belle said, giving Diamond Tiara a harsh glare.

Diamond Tiara felt offended and was annoyed by Sweetie Belle, and said,

"Well Squeaky Belle, my birthday party is tonight and I'm inviting everypony in class!, that is if you want to come or not."

"A party?, will there be video games?" Button asked.

"Nope but there will be a ton of fun games we can play! wanna come?" Diamond Tiara offered.

"Sure!, we'd love-" Scootaloo started, then Silver Spoon cut her off by saying,

"No Blank Flanks allowed!"

"We can't go just cause we don't have any Cutie Marks?, that's the stupidest thing I've ever heard!" Rumble yelled in anger.

Silver Spoon and Diamond Tiara looked at each other then they looked  at Button Mash and Rumble.

"Did we say Blank Flanks not allowed?, well since you two are new! Today's your lucky day! You guys can come but they can't!" Diamond Tiara said pointing to the Crusaders.

"Why can't we come?" Scootaloo said.

"Because, your going to bring Sweetie Belle!, the most annoying pony in Equestria! Thinking your so precious and great like your sister!" Diamond Tiara yelled.

"At least I don't like to brag and get everything I want by begging like you all the time! Your just a spoiled brat!" Sweetie Belle yelled back.

Sweetie Belle and Diamond Tiara put their foreheads together showing each other angry faces.

They didn't like each other one bit. They hated each other more than anything in the world, and the war between them would never stop unless Sweetie Belle got her Cutie Mark.

The rest of the group stared at them both. Silence broke between the two and Silver Spoon didn't want anything to go violent between the two, so she said,

"Sweetie Belle you can come if you want too."

Diamond Tiara looked at her friend in a confused look and said,

"W-why?, your not the one who invites ponies!, it's my party and I get to decide if she comes or not!"

"Come on Diamond Tiara don't worry everything will work out!" Silver Spoon said happily trying to calm her friend down.

Diamond Tiara sighed and walked away with her friend.

"Um, who were those two?" Rumble asked.

"They're bullies! They bully ponies who don't have a Cutie Mark, and they pick on us especially!" Scootaloo said.

"Hopefully we don't get bullied, just like at our old school." Button said, in a disappointed tone.

"Don't worry Button. Besides, we gotta party to attend later!" Rumble said happily.

Rumble and Button Mash wanted to make new friends, so they explored the place, and met all kinds of ponies in their class. Leaving the Crusaders alone.

"Anyways Scootaloo back to where we were with you and Rumble." Apple Bloom said.

"I do not like him ok?, I don't even have feelings for him!" Scootaloo protested.

"Scootaloo, it's pretty obvious that you like him! just admit it!" Sweetie Belle said.

"I SAID I DON'T LIKE HIM!" Scootaloo yelled.

She yelled so loud that even Rumble heard from the distance.

"S-she likes Somepony?, could be me!" Rumble said happily.

"Yea! that or Somepony else." Button said, causing Rumble to frown.

At the playground...

"Ugh, when can school be over!" Scootaloo complained.

"Scootaloo you never want to be here." Apple Bloom said.

"Cause it's boring!" Scootaloo said.

"Well it's not going to be boring anymore! Let's go to my house and get Rarity to make us all beautiful for the party tonight!" Sweetie Belle said.

Both Apple Bloom and Scootaloo looked at her with blank faces.

"Now?, I mean we can't just leave school!" Apple Bloom said.

"Well if it's anything to do besides sitting in a seat all day long I'm fine by it!" Scootaloo said, then she followed Sweetie Belle.

"This will not work out. One bit." Apple Bloom said, and followed her two friends.

Nearby in a bush Button and Rumble were spying on the three.

"Make themselves all beautiful?, I wonder what Sweetie Belle would look like!" Button said with heart shaped eyes.

"First we get Scootaloo to like me, then I'll help you on Sweetie Belle." Rumble said.

"But I don't wanna, what if Sweetie Belle picked somepony else and I was too late to ask her." Button said.

"Yea, but Scootaloo comes first! So let's follow them!" Rumble said.

"Fine." Button said in disappointment.

The two Colts followed them both until they reached Sweetie's house.

At Rarity's Boutique...

"Rarity please!, you can't at least make us dresses or something? ANYTHING?" Sweetie Belle argued.

"Sweetie Belle I cannot make you dresses just for some birthday party! Your probably going to get it all ruined by the time you come back home!" Rarity argued.

The two sisters kept arguing with each other and Apple Bloom and Scootaloo grew bored.

"Ugh, sisters these days am I right?" Scootaloo said.

"Ah know, I bet they argue like this everyday." Apple Bloom said.

10 minutes later of nonstop yelling...

Sweetie Belle gave Rarity her puppy dog eyes and made the saddest face she could do. Rarity tried to resist her face and tried looking away.

"Rarity please. If you don't make me dresses, I'll be sad." Sweetie Belle said softly.

Rarity looked back at her and saw her huge emerald colored eyes getting

even bigger than ever before.

"Ok, fine." Rarity said in defeat.

"YAY! THANK YOU RARITY! YOUR THE BEST SISTER EVER!" Sweetie Belle cheered, bouncing up and down with happiness.

"When is this party?" Rarity asked.

"Tonight! In an hour!" Scootaloo cheered.

"Oh boy. Might take some time for all three of you, But don't worry I'll make you stylish enough!" Rarity said.

Then she started to do her work on the dresses and also worked on their manes.

50 minutes later...

"Thank you so much Rarity!" The three of them said.

"No problem darlings! Now go enjoy yourselves and try not to get in any trouble, I already contacted your sister Apple Bloom, and Scootaloo. I'm responsible for your safety, so come here with Sweetie Belle when the party's over." Rarity explained.

The three of them nodded their heads, left the door, and started making their way towards Diamond Tiara's house.

10 minutes later...

The three of them came upon the doorway to Diamond Tiara's house.

"Hey wait where's Rumble and Button Mash?" Sweetie Belle asked.

"They're all probably inside right now!" Apple Bloom said.

Scootaloo just shrugged, and rang the doorbell.

After a couple seconds, Diamond Tiara came to the door, and gave them all a dirty look,

"Look who showed up! The Cutie Mark crybabies, and I see you all dressed up! How cute. The dresses look hideous." She said.

The three of them ignored her, and she moved out of the way and let them into her house.

Pretty much everypony in their class was there. The Crusaders noticed Button and Rumble sitting on a couch in the living room.

Scootaloo snuck up behind them and she yelled out,

"BOO!"

"AHHHHH!" Button and Rumble screamed at the top of their lungs.

The Crusaders laughed hard at their girly scream and the two friends blushed in embarrassment.

"Um, you didn't hear that!" Rumble said.

"He he, and you thought you were the coolest pony in our class! But you screamed like a Filly!" Scootaloo said laughing.

"Not funny." Button said.

The two Colts noticed the dresses that their crushed were wearing and they stared in awe at amazement from the way they looked.

The Crusaders noticed them both staring at them, and they didn't know that Rumble and Button liked Sweets and Scoots.

"ATTENTION EVERYPONY!, IT IS TIME FOR THE GAMES TO COMMENCE!" Silver Spoon announced.

The Crusaders, Button Mash, and Rumble ran straight to the door where Silver Spoon was, and she was in a large open room.

After everypony settled down and took their seats, Diamond Tiara began talking,

"Ok everyone!, first game!, Truth or Dare!"
