It's lunch break, our little cream colored friend Bloody just barely survived the most embarrassing moment of her life. She slowly walks to the cafeteria to get some food while she relives the entire painful experience of this mornings tragedy.
"Who are you?" Mr. Gale, the literature professor shouts as her magical alarm blares through the ginormous classroom. "BLOODY INKWELL" shouts Bloody as she tries her best to hold back tears that are beginning to swell in her eyes. Mr. Gale walks up to her and puts an aurora on her "charmed" alarm clock wrapped around her leg that stops the blaring noise. "Now we were just taking a pre-assessment. Get to your seat. Now. And no more interruptions."
She then shook her head as she tumbled into another pony just walking by. "Sorry" she says as she looks up at the pony to try to identify their features. "Hey no problem.. Hey wait a minute you're that one pony that had the alarm clock!" Bloody Inkwell awkwardly tries to swallow back tears as she pauses for an even more awkward time. "Yeah.. You have literature first thing too?" "No, I just heard your siren and rumors." Slowly gaining back her senses, she notices more details of the pony. Lavender hair with glimmering light blue highlights, and an unclean, dark purple pelt that looks like a scrubbed carpet. Her eyes had a temporarily tired, worn out look to them. "I have some physical class, I don't care to learn the name, I'm bad at it anyway." Bloody Inkwell looked her up and down, wondering why these colors exist now, because they almost look nasty on this pony. "Huh? Oh. Yeah. So what was your name again?" "Sterling Starlight" "Sterling Starlight? What a dumb name." Thought Bloody Inkwell as she started a bit of an awkward silence "So what are you eating for lunch?" Asked Sterling "I thought I might go and get a coffee from Celestia-Bucks" "Hey me too, how about we wait in line together, it's better having company than waiting alone, right?" Inkwell shook her head and they went off to get some coffee.
When Bloody Inkwell got back to her dorm, she fell over on her bed buzzed out from all that coffee. At the register at Celestia-Bucks she remembered forgetting all her bits at her dorm and Sterling generously offered to buy one but accidentally got her a grande, which was way too much for our poor filly Inkwell to handle. She spent a half an hour thinking about everything they talked about and how much she couldn't wait for the next day. It turned out she had one class with Sterling which was Algebra II. She quickly finished the homework she had and began writing.
Writing has been her favorite hobby since she was a little filly. She'd constantly write creative stories to her parents who gave her up to her grandparents because they were too young and inexperienced to have children. Only until last year have they decided to contact her back, which has been the best year of her life.
At 11 pm she shut off the lights and went straight to bed.
"I'M GONNA BE LATE I'M GONNA BE LATE!" Screams Bloody Inkwell as she bangs her flashing and beeping alarm clock on the table. "This damn alarm!" Bloody fell out of the bed along with bundles of blankets and her alarm clock wire. She quickly packs up her bookbag as she races out her dorm and into the great city of Canterlot. "25 minutes until class!" She says as she bumps into countless ponies, who are staring at her like she has a raccoon on her face. She mutters countless insults as she slowly declines speed and becomes dehydrated. "I'll never make it to class!" She throws down her heavy book bag and drags it the rest of the way to college, her shoulders aching from the weight of 3 algebra books and 3 tiny books on literature and the great arts. Slowly but surely, she makes her way to class, only an hour late. She slowly opens the door only to reveal a quiet classroom and what seemed like 3,000 pairs of eyes looking at her.
BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP
"Oh no"
Bloody Inkwell woke on a Sunday morning, not ready for school. She slumped off her mattress and slouched off to make breakfast.
The day went slow, nothing happened, everything was boring.
"TEN PAGE ESSAY?! AAND AFTER THEY MOVED YOU TO THE ADVANCED CLASS?!" yelled SS. Her body motions were out of control.. She was out of control. "yeah, but that's life.. I guess. How much Celestia-bucks did you have again?" BI looked her up and down, it looks like Sterling hasn't slept in days, but knowing the lavender fool, Bloody guessed she was up studying the stars again.
Bloody inkwell had been moved up to advanced English and the great arts, she didn't even know it existed. There were 6 ponies in the classroom, 5 of which she already knew and one was still a mystery. He had a dark gray pelt and a light blue striped mane, the colors intreaged Bloody Inkwell. She felt connected to him, even though they have never met. His eyes were always in her mind though, the yellowish orange color never went away, they even slowly became her favorite color as the day passed.
Fast forward to the next thursday. Mr mysterious still lingering on young Inkwell's mind. In their class together, partners were required. Nobody cared for BI because they all had their own friends in the class, except..him. Automatically the professor made them partners "Thunderlane, Bloody Inkwell doesn't have a partner either." Thunderlane was his name. What a nice name, it totally fit his looks.
"hi... I'm Bloody Inkwell.." she shivered more with every word, getting mad at how embarrassing it was getting. "Yeah, I know. I'm Thunderlane." It felt like a brick was shoved down her stomach, how can he already know her name?! But then she realized her professor told him her name before her mind wandered off into fantasies of him being her secret admirer, writing her letters every day but discarding them, thinking their not good enough for her.
"I cant believe you got Thunderlane to talk to you, Inkie. He sure is shy." Sterling sipped on some iced tea. Apparently tea is the new in and coffee was effecting her too much so she made the switch. "it was all luck I guess." Bloody blushed at the thought of finally talking to the one who corrupted her thoughts. "hey, we should all hang out sometime, at my dorm. You, me, and him. It'll be fun, whatta ya say?" Bloody Inkwell smiled and nodded, wanting to take every chance she had to get to know Thumderlane.
