Eclipse was walking through the Everfree forest, when she heard a sound, something like squeaking. She wandered off the path to check it out. A squirrel was caught in between the vines of the hawthorn bush. Eclipse ignited her horn, the magenta magic swirling around the hawthorn bush and untangling the vines. The squirrel began squeaking. Spike, her pet dragon, leaned down and said a few words to the squirrel. The squirrel squeaked something back. Spike turned to Twilight with a pale purple face. "The Squirrel's family has been caught! In a cave over the next bend." Spike's pale face paled even more as they neared the cave. The cave was glowing with a strange green light. She carefully approached the door. The sound of squeaking brought her in, charging. The squirrel's family, all wrapped up in green goo, was in the middle of the room.Eclipse hurried towards them. The squirrels all made squeaks when they hear her. "OH NO!" Eclipse said, as she tried to untangle them. Sadly, she just resulted in getting sticky hooves. But she managed to loosen it a little. A voice whispered, "If you want them unharmed, do as I say."

"Okay." Eclipse said.

"First, drop the green goop. She dropped it. The goo wrapped itself around them even tighter. Torches around the room begged her to come near them.

"Touch one of the torches." The Voice whispered.

"OK." Eclipse once again complied.

"Good." Eclipse approached a torch. She touched it. A pool of water appeared beside the torch. Right where Eclipse was standing. Strange liquid surrounded her. IT was as thick and sticky as the goop around the squirrels. Her pawed as the surface. The top of the pool suddenly turned to glass. She stopped breathing. As if defying the impossible, Eclipse's black coat turned even darker. Her horn twisted and became longer. Her wings ignited with black. Her eyes were godlike. Catlike pupils with blood red irises. Her whites were completely black. Her tongue forked and her teeth twisted into fangs. A searing pain in her hind legs brought Eclipse to attention. A snakelike tail grew out of her legs. She clambered out of the pool and suddenly felt very very awkward.

"Ah!" Eclipse screamed. She struggled to the middle of the room, which a book was on a stand. Eclipse struggled to open the book with her magic. She flipped to a page with a creature. A pony with a snake tail.

'Laimas. Legend says that they are very strong, can hypnotize, and bend others to their will.' At this Eclipse felt a searing pain inside her mind. Unbeknownst to her, her mind was changing, changing to fit the Laima's personality. When she was through, she opened her eyes. All the color was gone, replaced by inky darkness.

"Well... that was... fun. Now, eight more to go."
