Where am I? Part 1

I set my journal down next to the mirror. I looked closely at the engraving it the glass of the mirror. Beautiful calligraphy forming the phrase "Step into me to take it all." The mirror is an oval mirror about 6feet high and 4 feet wide. It has a beautiful ebony frame with branch-like carvings.

"Here we go!"

I turn around towards the dark walls and pedestals that the other artifacts stand on. I place my back to the mirror, but it doesn't feel solid, it feels cold and gel-like. What could possibly be my last memory will be of this cave-like structure. I relax my body and fall back into the mirror, free-fall style.

I'm still falling...

"OK, WHERE IS THE DAMN FLO"

I landed in snow. A lot of snow. Even though its dark and night out I can tell its snow. Im cold. WHERE AM I?? Ok lets pick a direction and start walking...

I stand up and spin around a few times. I stop and take a step forward.....

AAAANNNND, Now I'm falling again. This sucks. It would be nice to have wings or something... LIKE A PEGA-

CRACK*

"OW, FUCK"

Ok, now I'm on a yellow roof. Maybe I can get a view of this town from here.

I crawl around this oddly round roof to the other side and find out this isn't a house. IM ON A CASTLE. Its dark but the white and yellow stand out of the darkness, lit up by the faint light of the moon.

"Well lets figure this out in the morning!" I exclaim to myself," Carpe tempore noctis!"

I then lie down, gaze up at the stars and ever so slowly drift to sleep.

People called me crazy for many years, but I learned to ignore it. Im coming close to the Diamond Rose, I can feel it calling me. It's somewhere in this forest, but the forest is large. I'll find it soon though, I can tell. Tomorrow is my birthday, when I turn 18, maybe then will be my lucky day.

Happy birthday to me! I managed to fuck up my leg falling through a hole! Good news is I found the rose. Bad news is their are other artifacts. Why would more artifacts be bad? They seem to be enchanted. On the wall it says to pick one, and under each one it lists what will happen to me if I pick something other than it. The options are the Diamond Rose, which if not picked will force me to face my greatest fears, Aglowing Box, which if not picked will cause me to never find what I need, and a golden ring, which will make it so that the elements themselves will hate me. I will ponder what to pick today, this all seems dreadful.

I have found one last artifact. A dark mirror with the words, "Step into me to take it all", engraved upon it. So here I am. I leave my journal here before I step inside, If it is still here then it means do not follow as it is a trap. My name is Colton, and this is my last farewell.
