[This is a sequel to my story, The Fate of a Magical Mare. Shouldn't be necessary to read that one, but since it is a sequel, there are spoilers and stuff for it. At any rate, hope you guys enjoy it!]

Fluttershy discovered quickly that being a Magical Mare was not a blessing. She discovered that no wish was worth the fate that it cost. After watching her friend and fellow Magical Mare, Rarity, become a witch, the courage that Fluttershy wished for spawned the brutality and callousness to stay alive, resolved to never allow anypony to make another Magical Mare contract ever again.

But, after tracking down Rarity's Witch, Hildegarde Ornstein, she discovered that she had failed, as Spike the Dragon made a contract, and was far too overcome with grief for salvation. After slaying Ornstein, she tricked Spike in order to trigger his transformation into the Witch, Velstadt, and dispatched him with ease.

She thought her problems were over. She even thought that she saved her friend, Twilight Sparkle, from the fate of a Magical Mare.

But she was wrong.

Not long after dealing with Velstadt, Fluttershy discovers one of her worst nightmares, something not even her courage and brutality could steel her spirit for:
