He liked to call the sunken ruins "Atlantis". Surrounded by fish, Reef eventually came to ponder what was his purpose in life. "What is the meaning of life?" Reef Shark wondered aloud. Little did he know of a new presence in Atlantis. A superior Shark had come. Faster, stronger, and more ambitious than Reef Shark... Mako Shark was hungry. The bounty of the sea was only so vast. She ducked into a cave he never noticed before in pursuit of a nimble little fish. She chased the thing down the tunnel. Once out of the cave, Mako looked in aw at the abundance of fish in the water. She was unaware of the shark already present... And the shark she drew in... Hammerhead Shark stalked another shark. He followed the rambunctious creature through the tunnel and into an open cove. He stayed in the tunnel until his quarry moved on. He could see another shark amid the ruins and another, larger shark stalking out of a tunnel on the far side of the cove. Hammerhead took notice of this and decided to keep an eye on it... Hunt. Life. Kill. Live. Eat. Survive. This is all Tiger Shark needed to know. He began to exit the tunnel. Once out, he took note of any exits to the cove. In one tunnel, a hammerhead was stalking a Mako. In another, a Great White prepared to devour everything. There was a reef shark in the ruins. He also saw something that looked about his size but more like an eel than a shark. Great White Shark prepared to attack the multitude of fish in the area. Only food as far as he could see. A few smaller sharks in the area kept him on his tail fin, including a strange eel-like shark. He prepared to wreak havoc in the area, unaware of two meteors. Suddenly, everyshark present except the eel like one lunged at each other, awakening an ancient leviathan. Megalodon awoke from a thousand years of dreams and nightmares. Finding himself a stranger in a strange land. He looked up to see alien sharks, none he recognized, save what he assumed was a megalodon pup. One was long and agile, dark blue on top, white on the bottom. One was small, monochromatic light green, freakishly short, and a wee bit puggy. Next was an alien in everything but name, it had a flat head with protrusions on both sides of it, a brown back and white belly. Finally has what appeared to be a longer and bigger form of the green shark but with a dark gray back with almost black stripes and a lighter gray belly. Megalodon now saw the "pup", and realized that it was actually an adult of a miniature species of megalodon. It's back was blue and belly was white, kinda like the first shark he saw. The mini Megalodon had a tattoo on it's right forefin, and a stitched up scar on the left cheek. Megalodon smirked at the little runt. He caught his own forefin tracing the massive scar on the right side of his head. He let loose a mighty bellow announcing his presence to the world. Suddenly, a bright flash blinded everyshark present. When you they could see, they saw a robot shark. Robo-Shark 9000 looked at his surroundings. Seven sharks were present including Aperture Science Enrichment Center Experiment number 72553 code name: Electric shark.  Said shark had escaped Aperture Science Enrichment Center custody. This was sixty three years before he was created by Aperture Science Enrichment Center. That same year an almost obsured number of people were devoured by five sharks off the coast of Miami, and to deal with the threat, a nuclear warhead was deployed... Electro Shark skulked at the edge of the shadows. There were six sharks and a robot. Everyshark else quarreled and he would eat the tired out winner. He then grew bored with waiting and lunged into the fray. He released a powerful electric discharge, paralyzing everyshark there. Before he could eat anyshark, an alien spacecraft smashed into the water, quickly, the sole occupant of the spacecraft escaped just before all nine of them were frozen together. Ice Shark had just entered the new planet's atmosphere. His pod was aimed at a dangerous angle. as it approached the sea, Ice began to open the hatch. The pod smashed and Ice was able to get away. Unfortunately, he was still frozen with the eight other sharks. One thousand millennia later. Twilight looked at the unusual terrain under the ice. The experimental three dimensional mapping spell revealed ruins under the ice as well as some unknown types of large fish, a large hunk of fish shaped metal, and some kind of whale. The coral like terrain suggested that the area was at one point tropical. The odd thing was that the whole thing appeared to be flash frozen. This was unusual, as the glacier is part of the polar ice cap. Twilight tried to rationalize how anywhere this close to the north pole could have been tropical. Discord in his early reign was powerful, but not powerful enough to alter the climate of the poles, and the globe was the same today as it was when the first ponies came to be. The windigos only created a prolonged winter. Nothing Twilight could comprehend fit in here. Twilight returned to the camp to report her findings. This discovery would rewrite the history books. She reported the findings to Celestia. She studied the drawing of the strange mural that was found in Horseshoe Bay. What was the most interesting part of it was the depiction of nine sharks and two strange fish fighting Celestia. Another odd detail was that it was under water. This mural was the whole point of her investigation. Another part of the mural depicted the same sharks immerging from a glacier. The mural depicted the sharks who slayed Celestia becoming kings of the sea. Whatever civilization was responsible for the mural did not like Celestia. She cut out the whale, the seven large fish and the heap of metal and thawed them.
