Into The Shadows and Ice
Act 1: Prologue
Finally, finished this bad-boy... I adorned the blue and indigo costume of Zed mixed with my OC Night Frost, the changeling prince. The top half of my costume was the armor same like Zed, but with a mask almost the same as the Nargacuga's helmet from Monster Hunter 3 but with the upper parts removed where only the mask remained, while the red stripes are replaced by blue and the whole mask was indigo.
My phone rang as one of my friends called.
*BZZZZT* *BZZZZT* *BZZ-CLICK*
"Yo, what up?" I asked.
"John, you need to get here now! They're going to start now!" The gruff voice said from the other side of the speaker.
"Alright, alright, I'm coming down there, as soon as I finished this. See ya' Night Frost out!" I ended the call and hastily wore the costume.
I connected the harnesses from either the side attached on the armor. I straightens the light metal leggings attached to my long legs. I looked at the mirror and saw the same old reflection of me, messy-hair, light-brown skinned, and a idiotic kind of look I bore. I smiled at the silly expressions I made before I put on my mask. Now, both a scary and awesome look replaced the former.
I took a picture of myself while facing the lens of the camera to the mirror.
I then went out and grabbed my keys and license before entering my car, a Chevrolet Captiva. The same starting noise emitted from the engine before starting.
I drove a normal 53 m/h from my home town to the next where the convention is being held. The usual slope which made my car go up then a thirty-km drop from the top to the next town. I managed to make it there from a two-hour drive.
I then parked my car ten foot away from the con-center, I pocketed my keys, and straightened my costume, if there is any.
I saw one of my friends hands waved-up from the stairs of the conventions, I jogged making my way to my friends location.
I met him and made our usual greeting before entering to meet the others.
"Yo' John," I saw Bill motioned to take a seat near the stage, "... you finally just in time too." he made a reassuring wink at the stage before the show started. Bill was one of the security detail on the convention. Mel and Jun are the head managers for this convention for this year.
6 Hours Later...
"Whew, that was awesome." Clair made an expression like what was made by Rainbow Dash from the show.
"Okay... that was good, the animation on this video was outstanding I give them that... but it really needs a story more, rather than a bunch of sparkles and lasers." I commented to my friends around me before I got a soft pain from the back of my head.
Looking at the assailant behind me I saw Ruth, one of the animators of the video, giving me an unimpressed look before smiling.
I turned my chair around before giving her a hug.
"It has been three years Ruth... three bucking years." I said before hugging my elder sister.
"Miss you too little bro, anyway that is one bad-ass costume you got there, so the costume making paid-off?" Ruth said happily.
"Well, I did get a thousand bucks just by making this bad boys." I motioned my hand around my costume.
"Well it has a nice touch, you look like one of those Japanese movies." she motioned on the hidden fake arm-blades on both sides of my arm.
"Well this guys took me two whole weeks to finish, still not the longest part to make." I shrugged.
"Well it has been quite a long time, but I need to dash! My team needs me." she said before she went-up on the stage.
Two hours later...
"Well sure had been a great time with you guys but now it is time to wrap this up, so see you next time." The host said before bowing as well as the others, before the went down orderly.
I saw Bill approaching me before saying something, my eyesight was getting quite blurry, I can seem to get up.
I saw three blur-blobs approuching me and a shout rang, "JOHN!" the voice was from Ruth my sister. I wondered what happened?
The last thing I saw was the face of worry from my sister, Ruth, before a pitch-black darkness surrounded my eyesight.
(Start Mysterious Theme Music...)
My consciousness finally came back to me... green, brown, blue and white colors was the only things I could make-up with. I start to shake my head and letting my hand come to my face to shake of the sign of sleeping... Did I fall asleep? I can't remember anything... I started to panic before doing the breathe-in, breathe-out exercise, Okay... calm down... calm down, deep breathe in, slow breath out... *Sigh* what happened? Did I really just faint around that crowd? My cheeks started to heat-up before my sight went clear and I noticed that I was on a deep and quiet forest.
I looked around the unknown environment before standing straight-up and slowly walked down south-west from my position.
I better hope to find any settlement near this forest quick. I took a slow step before I heard a loud clanking noise beneath me.
I looked at my feet and noticed that the costume I was wearing had somehow went a quite heavier than before, I scratched my head before a sound of a blade exiting its sheet, drawn my attention to my arm. I saw a blade, but not any kind of blade... this blade was made by a hard but light metal and if I looked at it... it could cut anything from a strand of hair to a full-grown man. I also noticed a few cyan-glowing runes adorned on the fuller of the retractable blade.
I shook my blades, trying to make it retract back to its sheath before continuing my venture through the woods.
I found a nice spot to sleep on a patch of grass, near a tree. I laid my back on the base of the tree before closing my tired eyes.
before I went to the dreamworld I saw a figure of black and purple with two red glowing orbs approaching me with curiosity.
