Chapters "No Rayven! You cut around it!! You messed up the cutie mark!!" Pinkamena said, pouting.
"I'm sorry, Mommy....I don't think I'm cut out for this...." Rayven, being only a filly, threw the
knife on the table, disappointed. Pinkamena knew she was probably right. She had to teach
Rayven how to properly cut a cutie mark. This was Rayvens third victim, and she still couldn't
get the hang of it.
But Pinkamena knew she could do it. She just needed a little more time. "Don't worry, Rayven....you'll get
the hang of it...here." Pinkamena grabbed the knife and gave it to Rayven. "Try again with the other side."
Rayven trotted to the other side, knife levitating in front of her. She focused hard, putting the tip of the knife
on the three diamond cutie mark. As slowly as she could, she made a circular motion around the cutie mark,
and ripped it off when done. She held it up with her magic. "Look, Mommy!! I didn't get it dirty!!" Rayven said
triumphantly.
"Great job, Rayven!! You did it!!" Pinkamena said, raising her voice at the scream of the white, unicorn.
A gleam of satisfaction showed up in Rayvens eyes. Pinkamena was proud of her. First achievement.
Next was to play a victim by herself. But for now, cutting cutie marks and taking out the bladder was
enough. After they finished the white unicorn together, they cleaned up, taking turns emptying the blood.
"Alright. Let me put these in the oven." Pinkamena said, walking out the cellar door.
~Rayvens Perspective ~
I actually got it!! I can't believe it!! Rayven thought to herself, washing her hooves from the blood.
She had finnally done it. She successfully cut the cutie mark without getting it bloody. Tonight, her mother
agreed to take her to the park as celebration. She pouted at the ugly site of their own playground. All it had was
a tire swing, and a ramp to be used as a slide. But that's all that they could use. They couldn't get close to the better
playground in Ponyville, or else the 'white Flyers' would catch them. But from time to time, she would see a white stallion
watching from the playground.
Every time she tried to say hi, it would run away. Same went with her aunt, CreepyBloom. Everytime she said
hi to her, she would simply turn away, or go to another room. Rayven felt like she didn't belong. Not only because she
was adopted, but because she felt like she wasn't worth it. She would show them somehow. She vowed to herself.
I'll make a cupcake of every pony in Equestria! Even the princesses themselves!!
"They don't care about you anymore!! They're just stupid heads!!"
"Aw, Tom, they aren't that bad....."
"What are you talking about?! They are despicable!!! They should've never had you as a friend in the first place!!"
"You know what? They are aren't they?! I'll never throw them a party again!!"
In her mind, all objects cheered in agreement. In the real world, she was talking to a rock, flour, and dust lint.
"Hee! You guys are the best!! Haha, hey Flour can I ask you something?"
"Ask me anything, dearest Pinkie!" Flour said, doing a little bounce. "I don't want you to call me....Pinkie anymore...
Call me...Pinkamena Diane Pie...."
The desent to madness had begun.
I shouldn't be here at this time....it's dangerous..but it's the only way home. Pinkamena thought, as she walked through an
alley way through Ponyville. SugarCube Corner wasn't too far away, but gangs were always quick to prevent going home. As experienced
as she was with weapons, she was too exhausted to get in a real fight.
Just a few days ago, Pinkie tried to take over again, during having some fun with Fluttershy.
Pinkamena wasn't going to let that happen. She continued walking, being cautious not to run into trouble.
She stopped short. She heard something, but couldn't quite make it out...
It sounded like.....
A baby...
She was startled a bit. What was a foal doing here in the alleyway like this? It was simply absurd!! Unless, the baby had
a death wish. She started walking towards the sound of the baby. She was only a few hoof steps away, and she could see
it clearly. Brown coat, with brown eyes. And, one detail in particular. A straight black mane and tail. Same mane style as Pinkamena..
She walked to where she was right in front of it, and took a good look. Four or five cupcakes this foal could make at least. But when she
looked at it...all she saw...was herself. Blinking in astonishment, she knew deep inside that she simply couldn't kill this baby. She picked it up with one hoof
to cradle it, and set off again. This foal could be of great use. But when she thought about it...
This baby could be more. Not just an apprentice in training. But something Pinkamena would
probably enjoy having.
She decided, right there in the alley. This is my foal.
I will protect it from anything that tries to hurt it. I will give it the love and strength it needs to continue its
life..
Looking embarrassed, she took one quick look under to see what the gender was. Mare.
This is who she is....she is...Rayven Diane Pie..
This park is old... Rayven thought to herself, as she walked towards the old park she used to love
as a filly. Being a pre-teen now, her mother allowed her to free roam, only if it was around Ponyvilles borders.
After actually getting to have a conversation with her aunt, CreepyBloom, she decided to take a walk to clear
her mind.
She arrived at the tiny park and took a good look. Nothing had really changed, except she could see a bee
hive inside the tire swing. She wasn't suprised. After all, she hadn't been here in a few years. Right when she
decided to go home, she saw the same white shadow she saw every time she came here. She whirled around,
quite annoyed. "Hey!! I wouldn't be stalking kids like this so late at night!!"
His response was a little giggle. This time Rayven was suprised. Each time she tried to speak to him,
he would run away. "....Who are you?" The following came as a shock as well. "Names Jeff, pretty one.
I take it you've been here a couple of times." Instead of talking back, she flattened her ears and laughed
to herself. Pretty one? Geez, what a pedo.
"Hello, Jeff. Names Rayven Diane Pie...and I take it you've been stalking me all these years."
"I was watching. Stalking and watching are totally different things....how old are ya?.."
Alright, this was getting way to personal. Rayven took a step forward, taking a good look at the stallion.
White earth pony. Only about an inch taller. "How old are you?..."
"Thirteen."
Thirteen...Rayven was thirteen at the moment. "..Same." Rayven whispered, her eyes fixed on the stallion.
He nodded, smiling. "You seem like a real pretty girl...how about we hang out some time? What do ya say?.."
Rayven thought about it for a moment. Heck, this stallion was dumb enough to make a comment like that.
But what did she have to lose? This was basically her only friend she was going to make, besides Starlight,
a good friend of hers. Why not? "Sure...how about we meet tomorrow?"
"Alright. Tomorrow then. I'll see ya, Rayven." He galloped away, giving a flick of his tail towards her.
What was in this stallions mind? First 'watching' her, and now flirting? Hopefully, this stallion wasn't up to any tricks.
Soon enough.....she would find out this stallions true meaning to this unlikely friendship.
