Twilight laid in her bed, her blanket over her and her legs spread wide. She panted a little as she laid her head back, pressing it into the pillow.
"Hi, Twilight!" Came a voice from the edge of her bed. Twilight immediately pulled the blanket over her head and sat up in a hurry.
Trembling in embarrassment, Twilight poked her head out of the blanket. "Pinkie Pie! What are you doing here?!"
"No one's seen you in days, so I thought I'd see if you were okay!" Pinkie Pie smiled a big, knowing smile.
"Pinkie, I'm fine. How did you get in here anyways?" She blushed thinking for a moment, "How much did you see?"
Pinkie giggled innocently. "Though the front door silly," She said with a wink before bouncing towards the door. She landed and spun on her heels. "Not enough!" she said in a sing-song voice before disappearing down the staircase with a giggle.
Twilight rolled her eyes and rubbed her hoof against the blanket to dry it off. She rolled off her bed and wiggled her rump to detach the blanket that stuck to her hindquarters. "How did that mare get through my anti-Pinkie Pie protection spell... Better yet, how'd she get through a locked door?" she murmured to herself as she walked down the stairs.
As Twilight entered the main room of her library Pinkie Pie landed in front of her. "Who were you thinking about?" she asked.
"Pinkie!" Twilight started, but instead shook her head and began searching the shelves for that protection spell book.
“OH! Was it Applejack? Or maybe Rarity! No, no, no, I bet it was Rainbow Dash!” She paused, taking a large gasp of air while Twilight just continued searching through the books. “It was me!!!”
Twilight froze, her whole body changing color. Her wings sprang from her side as she spun around to face Pinkie Pie. “Pinkie Pie! Why are you even here!?”
“Relax Twilight, I was just looking for a certain book, that’s all.” Pinkie rolled her eyes with a grin splayed across her face.
“So what book were you searching for?” Twilight asked, talking long shallow breaths to calm herself as she returned to searching through the bookshelves.
Twilight felt something slam against her backside like a paddle, she spun around to see Pinkie Pie sitting just within hoofs reach, she had her hooves up in a shrug as she quickly and quietly answered with, “Idunno.”
Pinkie Pie held a small but thick book in the curls of her mane, “Is that the book you were looking for? If so, you can leave as soon as I check it out to y- PINKIE! WHERE DID YOU GET THAT BOOK FROM?!?!?!” Twilight immediately teleported the book out of pinkie’s possession and left it hanging high out of reach.
“Yes, that’s the book! Why else would it be on my hook!” She giggled and stepped towards Twilight. With their noses nearly touching, she continued much quieter than before. “I found it…” she bounced backwards and pointed up, “In your secret clop stash upstairs, Twilight!”
Twilight’s wings were beginning to hurt. “How did you even get in here!”
“Calm down, Twilight. Oh! And here’s that Protection Spells book you were looking for, it was in the P!” She smiled and got low to the ground, shook her mane from side to side and out popped the book she was looking for, along with a load of other things. Including but not limited to, a mirror, (which shattered as it landed on the floor.) two cakes, a muffin pan, a grandfather clock, along with numerous other obscure objects.
Twilight stopped, sat down and began breathing, trying to calm herself. She opened her book and began skimming for the spell she had used. When she finally located it and read it she slapped herself on the forehead. “Protects the caster’s home, not the location of casting! I knew I shouldn’t have let Rarity cast that spell when she begged for it. How could I have missed that!”
“What did you miss?” Pinkie asked nonchalantly as she played with two plushies, one resembling herself and the other resembling Twilight. She made the two dolls kiss before looking up with a large smile.
“Rarity was the one that found the spell and insisted she cast it. She protected her own home rather than my library, that sneaky little-” She paused, “Wait! I have the spell right here, I could just recast it!”
“So what’s it protect against?” Pinkie asked innocently playing with the dolls, which were now laying side by side as if asleep. Pinkie kept her focus on the dolls but a smaller, sweet smile had taken the place of her usually bashful grin.
Twilight smiled and closed the book, “It’s nothing, Pinkie.”
Twilight found another book laying on the ground, it was hot pink and had a gold locket hanging from the binding. The books covers were trimmed in real gold and had a lock that held the covers closed. There was no title on the cover or binding, however, there was three jewel-encrusted balloons indented into the cover, Topaz yellow and Sapphire blue. She looked over at Pinkie Pie, who was still distracted with her plushies. The Twilight plushie was now sitting while the Pinkie plushie had a piece of giant cake for the two to share.
Pinkie Pie glanced over, smiled and dropped her face into the cake before giggling. Twilight slid the book behind her and used her magic to open the lock. She spun around as Pinkie ate her cake. She looked down and opened the book.
The book was hollow, the inside of it was cushioned with red velvet and two objects laid inside it. A folded piece of paper and a picture that depicted Pinkie Pie and herself sitting side by side on a hill top, watching Celestia set the sun. Twilight picked up the folded bit of paper and opened it, it read; “Love you, Twilight.”
Author's Note
So this story was just a short little thing I wrote because my larger projects are losing my interest and are beginning to stress me out, they're either really depressing stories or are in sad spots or something else, I needed something light hearted and fluffy! So here is light hearted and Fluffy! :D
My brother gave me a few rules whilst writing this.
1: 1000word limit.
2: Pinkie must spank Twilight with a book.
3: Start and end the story with the same word.
4: Have something hidden in a hollow book.
5: Pinkie must rhyme at least once in this story.
