The Canterlot Games
Chapter 1
The white alicorn sat nobly on her throne, to her right her sister sat in the same pose. The princess of friendship stod behind Celestia whilst Cadence stod behind Luna. The pony working the camera was none other than the famous Photo Finish, one of the few non unicorn ponies she commended. Celestia would enjoy this moment, the opening of the first ever Canterlot Games. This would be a great thing for the equestrian economy, everybody in Canterlot betting on a pony from each settlement throughout the nation was sure to fill her pocket.
"Is everypony ready?" the four mares nodded contently at the German pony,"drie, zwie, eins!"
Celestia began speaking the lines she had so constantly rehearsed,
"Citizens of Equestria! You all know why am am speaking to you today. The first ever Pony Games are upon us! Let me explain how this is going to work, one mare and one stallion is going to be chosen from each of the major settlements of Equestria, apart from Canterlot. Only pegusi and earth ponies are in the running for this marvellous event. The pony competing must not have a grey hair on them but be able to walk and gallop at a good standard. A pony may volenteer in the place of another, as long as they stick to the previous criteria. Pegusi in the games with have their wings paralysed, Earth ponies will be given a drug that drains their strength so they are equal competitors. One of us princesses will come to each settlement, they are as follows: 1 is Cloudsdale. 2 is Manehattan. 3 is Las-pegasus. 4 is Ponyville. 5 is The Macintosh Hills. 6 is Appleloosa. 7 is The Unicorn Range. 8 is Vanhoover. 9 is Fillydelphia. 10 is the San Palomino Desert. 11 is Baltimare. 12 is The Crystal Empire. 13 is Trottingham. In each of these settlements we will conduct a 'reaping' to chose the lucky contestants of the Pony Games! Don't even try to escape the settlement you are currently in, we have put up force fields over each one, you will be killed if you so much as touch them. Happy Pony Games! And may the odds be ever in your favour!"
Photo Finish turned of the camera before cautiously asking, "Will I be put into zis, reaping?" she queried in her thick accent.
"Certainly, you are a citizen of Ponyville, are you not?"
"All I have done for you and you repay me with zis? I will not stand for zis dictatorship!" Photo Finish charged at Celestia, Luna quickly put up a warding spell up to protect her sister. Celestia, shocked by the ordeal, yelled instinctivly, "GUARDS!" The two burley stallions galloped in, Photo Finish was bucking at the ward protecting the alicorns, but to absolutely no avail,
"Where do you want us to take her ma'm?"
"The Macintosh Hills, to live like the dog she is." One of the unicorn guards cast a spell that went directly to the brain, instantly knocking her unconscious. They hauled her onto their backs, spreading her weight between them, and walked out.
"Earth ponies, their true side always comes out one way or another." Luna said with a sneer.
"They don't deserve to be counted among us." Cadence said sadly.
"That is why we are holding these games is it not?" Twilight added, joining the conversation.
"Indeed." Luna started, before being interrupted with an astounding thought,"Mabey we can make use of the earth ponies and pegusi, make them into solders."
"How can we be sure of their loyalty to Canterlot?" Celestia intelligently asked.
"They will be excluded from the Pony Games. We could chose them by running a fitness test, stallions only, they have much more strength than mares."
"We'll have to call in another camera mare." Twilight thought aloud. "Fancy Pants?"
"Good idea Twilight." Celestia replied before vanishing in a cloud of light.
The three remaining princesses returned to their thrones, two of them with luminus faces of laughter while the other fearful. This pony's navy coat quivered in fear, "Why are we doing this? What did they deserve for this?" Luna repeated these questions to herself in her head, but simply could not answer them. She knew her acting would soon be detected by her sister, the pony she always used to look up to, until this deranged idea. She would have to do all she could to stop the pony games from happening, but surely that would be impossible without detection?

Photo Finish slowly gained consciousness, not daring to open her eyes to verify what she remembered was real. After a while she slowly opened her eyes and gasped at what she saw, a row of Canterlot soliders, armed to the teeth. All their eyes fixed on her. She tried to back off but her hooves were chained to the floor, she was trapped and on her way to the Macintosh Hills. She was no longer wearing her chic fashion forward clothing, instead she wore rags, secured on her by a piece of rope around her neck. She was no longer Photo Finish, the pony she had created to hide her embarrassing body, the one she was bullied for year after year, after year. She stifled a cry, trying truffle herself in the presence of the Canterlot soilders, not wanting to seem weak in the face of her tormentors. Photo Finish turned her head so she was looking out of the glass window, she saw snow milky flakes slowly tumbling down past the window, the only thing stopping her from escaping her fate. She used to love helping out at winter wrap up as a filly, that seemed like years ago now. One sorrowful drop slid from the blue pony's eye, the most solitary thing in Equestria...
