Mysterious disappearances, bizarre laws, shifty ponies, and a city choked full of new technology smells like danger to Rainbow Dash… well, she is too focused on her upcoming test to care. But there's a pony already chosen, already in chains, and already resolved to leave his own legend. He has the power to destroy the pony responsible.

Both must out-fly the gears of war before a sinister program can wreak havoc on the bright sunny lands across Equestria and the rest of the world. Navigating the past is hard enough, but the future may prove to be the greatest trap ever created by a single pegasus.
