After the after party

After some time, a lot of stumbling and some wrong doors Vinyl finally made it home, however there was a new obstacle in her way. The door. Vinyl couldn't work out how it worked, she pushed, she pulled but nothing the door would not budge. So she sat in front of the door, staring at it. She kept her eyes locked on the door. After about a minute of this she jumped to her feet and shouted.

“OPEN!” Nothing happened. She sat back down looking defeated.

“Oh Celestia, what do I do now.” She started to sound upset.

“Why wont you listen to me?” she questioned the door. Then in a spark of genius Vinyl remembered something very important about doors.

“A key!” she said feeling very pleased with herself for working it out. After a quick self pat down she realized that she had no key.

“Well shit, what now.” she sat back down feeling like she had lost this battle. But then in a second spark of genius she had an idea.

“Tavi!” she remembered.

“I have a roommate, she can let me in.” Vinyl face hoofed.

“Stupid Vinyl.” She proceeded to smack on the door calling out for Octavia.
Soon after there was a slight click sound of the door unlocking, the handle twisted and the door pulled back. A less than impressed looking earth pony on the other side. Before Vinyl could say anything Octavia started.

“And what time do you call this?” Vinyl could instantly see the annoyance in her friends voice. Vinyl struggled to come up with an answer and proceed to latch on to Octavia repeating the word sorry.

“I didn't want to wake you up but I got home and didn't have a key and I don’t know where it is and I think I lost it and…” Vinyl stopped because she was running out of breath but mainly because Octavia raised a hoof with a key in it.

“Is this the key you are referring to, I saw it on the table as I was getting ready for bed and decided to stay up and wait for you.” a small smile broke on Octavias face.

“You stayed up for me?” an even bigger smile on Vinyls face.

“Of course did you truly think I would let you get stuck outside for the night, now come on get in here you must be positively freezing.
