Date 2556 Relay station on Uranus

Matt hated it here nothing interesting ever happens and there's no one here but himself to talk to. He sighed at the irony which stopped being funny ages ago. He got sent to Uranus Ha. He thought to himself for the millionth time as he walked to the control room and sat down in the uncomfortable chair. The only Chair here. As he scanned the frequencies for any signal at all he sat back and took a nap. Screw the back pain he’d have later that future Matt’s problem.

He awoke to the sound of alarms and fell out of his chair. Looking up at the screen he could believe what he saw a highest level priority signal. This alone was enough to excite him but who it was from is what struck him. The Master Chief who saved humanity by destroying the Halos and the Ark ,along with the flood ,and got the elites on our side and killing the prophets almost single handedly with an Elite. He was more than a legend.

He instantly read the message saying “he was still alive and in a cryo pod ,floating in space near the remains of the Ark”. Reacting on instinct he called Earth

“Hello come in”

“We read you loud and clear go ahead ”

“ I have a message to relay  fr ”he never got to finish because he was interrupted

”That it tha all you wake me up from my nap at 3 in the morning ”

He looked over at the clock on the wall and saw the time. That was a long nap he thought

“What the hell could you have got all the way out on uranus”

….....  He dread what would come next

“Ha Ha ha ha ha ah ha ah ha” The other guy broke out laughing like they all do. This made his blood boil

“ It said before i was so rudely interrupted  that Master Chief is alive in a cryo pod  near the remains of the Ark”

“Message sent” he stated clearly annoyed at me

“ I will say it came from uranus” Ha ha ha ha ah aha

Matt hung up and sighed.He sent the message no some other person get to go find the Chief and get all the glory while he sits on his ass”This sucks” he said to no one

Earth Time 3:18 A.M.

Lord Hood awoke to his phone ringing he tried to reach for it but then remembered it’s now on the dresser on the far side of his room. He got up with a groan as he walked over to his phone and answered.” There better be another Halo if you woke me up at this time”. A voice of a women responded  in business tone from years of doing this”I apologize for waking you but something important came up”.

“Well what is it”

“ Ha ha ha aha ah ha”

She sighed and waited for the laughing to stop although deep down she was laughing too.

“ Well who's it from don’t pause for dramatic effect”

“ Sorry sir I'm just stunned that it’s from the Master Chief and he’s alive i a cryo pod near the remains of the Ark”

He was speechless the Chief alive. He was broken out of his stupor by a voice on the other line

“Yea i’m fine call in a squad to go get him immediately”
