It was a beautiful day in Ponyville. The sun was shining, the flowers were blooming and the breeze was nice since Applejack was working hard doing her daily chores. Applejack stood on her forehooves and thrusted her hind hooves back as hard as she could to hit an apple tree. The tree started to shake and apples fell from the branches landing in the baskets below. “Phew. I’m finally done with the apple bucking. Now to go back into the house with this load and relax.” Applejack got the baskets onto her back and started to walk back to her house. As she was walking along she heard someone yelling.
“Whoa! Watch out AJ!” Rainbow Dash yelled to her country friend. Before Applejack knew who said watch out Rainbow Dash crashed into her, knocking her down and making her apples go everywhere.
“Ugh. W-what happened?” Applejack asked. She sat up rubbing her head before she saw her Pegasus friend Rainbow Dash frantically picking up apples.
“Dang nambit Rainbow! Why’d you have to do that?!” Applejack yelled at her Pegasus friend.
Rainbow Dash was picking up apples to help Applejack out because she felt bad for crashing into her and knocking her apples all over. Rainbow Dash turned around to face the music for what happened.
“Look AJ I’m sorry for crashing into you. I tried to warn you that I was coming, but I guess you didn’t hear me. I did pick up your apples that I knocked over when the crash happened.”
“Thanks for picking up my apples. I appreciate it, but next time be more careful sugarcube.”
“Right. I’ll be sure to do that.” Rainbow Dash replied grinning with her hoof on the back of her head.
“Alright well I have to get back to the farm to get these apples in for cider season. I’ll catch you later Rainbow.” Applejack got her baskets of apples on her back again and started to walk back to her home. Rainbow Dash stared at her friend and caught herself staring at AJ’s plot. Rainbow Dash was blushing madly before she flew off to her house in Cloudsdale.
Up in Cloudsdale the sky was orange with a nice shade of violet purple because the sun was setting. Rainbow Dash was just landing on her cloud and rushed into her house. She immediately ran to her room and was on her bed crying. You see before she moved out from her parents house she was taught that being a filly fooler was wrong. She always had thoughts about other mares, but would suppress them and beat herself up because of such thoughts.
Even now, in her own house as a grown mare, she still suffers from those thoughts and feelings. She hates how her parents raised her and would go back in time to change it if she could, but she can’t. as she lays there crying into her pillow she starts to stop crying and gets up for some food. She walks down stairs to her kitchen for some food before she grabbed her phone and texted her good friend, who is also a filly fooler, Spitfire. Rainbow Dash texted Spitfire to see if she was free for a talk and maybe a hang out.
Hey Spitfire, are you free for a chat or a hang out?
Rainbow Dash waits for a reply and after half an hour she has not gotten a reply yet. She sighs angrily and flops on her couch and turns on her television. She starts to watch TV and lay on her couch being bored. She got so bored that she started to doze off and dream.
(Dream) Rainbow Dash was flying through the crisp air, in the bright blue sky. Clouds passing by as she flew by enjoying the nice sensation. She starts to descend and doesn’t realize that she is gaining speed rapidly. She starts to see Applejack walking with two baskets full of apples. Rainbow screams at AJ to get out of the way, but Applejack didn’t hear her screams and was still walking. Rainbow tried to yell again, before she crashed into AJ knocking her down and knocking her baskets, which were full of apples, all over the ground. As soon as AJ got up, she saw Rainbow picking up the apples frantically to get them back into the baskets. When Rainbow was done picking up the apples she turned around and faced AJ. AJ thanks Rainbow Dash for picking up the apples and for her to be more careful next time. Rainbow helped get the baskets back on AJ’s back and watched as she started to walk back to the farm. As Rainbow is watching AJ leave, her eyes start to look down and they stop on AJ’s flank. They stay there for a long while before Rainbow slowly flies up to AJ and kisses her.
(Real World) in the real world Spitfire is knocking on Rainbows door and isn’t getting an answer. She waits and waits and waits before she flies off back to her house. Inside Rainbows house, she is laying on the couch making out with a pillow pretending it was AJ. Rainbow woke up and saw the pillow she was cuddling and saw her saliva on the pillow and was so embarrassed from the dream. She hid the pillow behind the couch and stayed inside her house for a couple of days before she went out and flew straight to AJ’s house. As she saw Applejack laying under a tree resting from the work and chores she always does, Rainbow trotted up to AJ and slightly shook her to wake her up.
“Rainbow keep kissing me” AJ mumbled. Rainbow was shocked at what she had just heard that she slowly lifted AJ’s hat and bent down. Rainbow started to lean forward until her lips touched Applejacks lips and AJ woke from what happened and was blushing madly before she started to slowly close her eyes and continue the kiss. A couple of minutes later Rainbow broke the kiss and stared at AJ.
“That was amazing AJ” Rainbow told her country friend.
“Y-yeah Rainbow, it kind of was good.” AJ hesitantly replied.
“Is everything alright AJ” Rainbow asked out of concern.
“It’s my family. They won’t and don’t understand my sexuality.” AJ said.
Rainbow just got close to AJ, the mare that she was in love with, and wrapped her hooves around her and held her close. “Don’t worry. You will always have me and that is more than enough” Rainbow whispered in AJ’s ear. Upon hearing this AJ started to whimper and start to cry, tears of happiness, before she wrapped her hooves around Rainbow Dash and hugged her back. As they lay under the tree, holding each other with their hooves, they watch the sun set and gaze at the beautiful colors of the sky.
