Button Mash waits in a line
Love Tap slept soundly in her bed, hoofing for her husband's body but since he was at a business trip in Manehattan she only held a pillow.
“Mmmm, this is the life, nice, peaceful, qui-” thought Love before her mind was rattled by a feeling of pressure on her bed and a loud voice.
“Mom!” shouted Button Mash. “We have to go to Bargain Barns!”
“Mmmph,” grumbled Love into her pillow.
“Huh?” said Button with a tilt. “Mom come on we gotta get up!”
“I said why sweetie, and the why of me getting up is?” said Love picking up her face from her warm pillow.
“Because,” said Button with a gasp. “We can’t be late for the release of the new Ponystation!”
“Oh, is that it?” said Love getting up to shower. “Alright you go get ready-”
“Done already!” said Button showing his still recently showered coat. “So can we go?”
“Mashy, mommy has to get ready too,” said Love getting some shampoo. “Just go play some of your games till I’m done.”
“But mom!” whined Button.
“No buts, now go an play your games,” said Love to a pouting Button.
“Fine,” said Button before speaking in his game language. “(I wish you were faster!)”
“(And I wish you were sleepier honey)” giggled Love closing the bathroom door.
After fifteen minutes Button was starting to yell on the door.
“Mom! Are you done!” he shouted to the white door.
“Almost! I just need to brush my mane...done!” said Love opening the door. “How do I look?”
“Nice Mrs. Tap!” said one of Buttons brothers friends or B.b.f passing thru the hall with some milk.
“Uhh, thank you Wave, Button you go wait outside I gotta talk to your brother one second,” said Love with a determined face.
“Okay!” said Button rushing downstairs.
Heading to the basement she started hearing the sound of “music” play loudly with each trot. She entered to find her older son playing guitar with his little band.
“Okay, Wave you got your….milk” said Buttons brother Gibson. “Hi mom, umm, what do you want?”
“Oh nothing sweetie,” said Love with a smirk while Gibson just blushed and his friends snickered. “I’m going to go with Button to Bargain Barns, do you and your little friends need anything?”
“No mom, we’re-”
“Actually Mrs. Tap, I was wondering if you could pick up some more oat cereal,” said Crash, the “drummer”
“Yeah, yeah and maybe some of those little choices you make, please,” said Wave.
“Guys shut up!” shouted Gibson before remembering who was before them.
“Gibby!” said Love. “That is not polite, and of course I’ll grab some of those things dears,” she said before closing the door.
“Man, your moms hot!” said Wave and Crash while Gibson just groaned.
“Mom!” said Button outside. “Can we go now?”
“Coming!” said Love. “Remember to stay near me.”
“Sheesh mom, I’m not four years old,” grumbled Button.
“Awww, but you’ll always be my little baby,” said Love pinching Buttons cheeks.
“Mom! Not in public,’ said Button rubbing his cheeks.
“Aww, that hurts my feelings,” said Love while faking hurt. “I don’t think my heart can go on enough to get us to the game-mph!”
“Love you!” said Button hugging his mom. “Now can we make it?”
“Of course sweetie,” Love said as they started trotting down the road.
After a few minutes of trotting (one minute so Button could get a bit stuck in a tree) the two arrived at Bargain Barns to the sight of a long line of ponies outside the store waiting for it to open along with some stalls set up outside with the words “Ponystation 4, from M.I.E” written on banners.
“Oh no!” said Button collapsing to the floor. “I knew we should have camped out!”
“Now Button you know I don’t like the idea of you spending the night outside a store with a bunch of strangers,” said Love. “Of course I don’t think I expected this many ponies lined up for a game.”
“Console!” said a familiar posh sounding voice.
“Huh?” said Button and Love before they saw the sight of a disheveled Rarity and Sweetie Belle near the front of the line.
“It’s a console, a console,” said Rarity rocking back and forth. “I learned the hard way last night, so many gamers so many!”
“Rarity just breathe in and-Button!” said Sweetie Belle noticing her colt friend. “I didn’t know you were coming,” she said nuzzling him.
“Sweetie Belle! Stop, I’m trying to remain incognito,” said Button giving her a quick nuzzle.
“Incognito?” said Love.
“Mrs.Tap!” said Sweetie Belle not having noticed Love Tap before. “W-wh-what are you doing here?”
“Aww, Sweetie Belle,” said Love nuzzling Sweetie Belle. “No reason to call me Mrs. Tap, call me mom!” said Love to a blushing Sweetie Belle.
“M-mom?” said Sweetie Belle only to be answered by Love winking.
“So mashy,” said Love to a blushing Button while Sweetie giggled. “What this about you being incognito?”
“Well-oh no!” said Button pointing at a group of stallions and mares. “Them!”
“Them-whoah!” said Love being pushed aside by one of the stallions.
“Well, well, if it isn’t Button wimp,” said one of the stallions while the rest just laughed.
“Wimp!?” thought Love Tap and Sweetie Belle with anger.
“What do you want Gigabyte?” said Button. “You're not still angry about that arcade game-woah!”
“You mean the game you cheated at!?” hissed a mare picking Button up.
“I didn’t cheat! And you don’t wanna do this,” said Button with a smirk.
“Oh? Why not? You gonna cry home to your mommy?” said Gigabyte while the other stallions and mare laughed.
“Nope, cause she’s right behind you.”
“Wha-ah!” said the mare holding Button, as she was flipped over by Love Tap and Button levitated by a struggling Sweetie Belle.
“Now who do you think you are!” said the mare looking up only to gulp in fear.
“I’m his mommy!” hissed Love Tap. “(Run, for your mere mortal lives are nothing compared to that of my offspring!)”
“Run!” said the mare causing the group to run leaving Gigabyte himself.
“Hey don't leave me with this crazy b-b-” said Gigabyte while Love Tap pawed at the ground with a smoke coming out of her nose. “Ahhh!” screamed Gigabyte running away to the laughter of the crowd and applause for Love Tap.
“Button!” said Sweetie Belle hugging her colt friend. “They didn’t hurt you did they-huh?” said Sweetie Belle as she was gently pushed away by Love Tap.
“It’s alright sweetie,” said Love Tap hugging her son. “Mommys here!”
“Mom!” said a embarrassed Button wiping away the owie kisses. “Not in front of Sweetie Belle!”
Giggling at this, Sweetie Belle said, “Who were those bullies anyway?”
“The’re names are the controllers, a posse of gamer stallions and mares,” said Button squirming his way out of his mother's hugs. “The stallion mom scared off was named Gigabyte who I beat in a arcade game, he must still be sore about it.”
“Hmm,” said Sweetie Belle pondering to herself. “I think those are the same group of ponies that drove Rarity mad when she made the mistake of calling the Ponystation a game.”
“Well they won’t be troubling you anymore,” said Love Tap nuzzling both foals with them blushing.
After about an hour the crowd was met to the voice of Filthy Rich.
“Ladies and gentlecolts,” he said into a speaker. “They store will open in another hour so tha-”
“Lets just break in!” shouted a voice in the crowd.
The next few minutes were a blur for the group of four( Rarity had regained her mind) one minute the stores windows were fixed the next ponies were crowding in with Filthy Rich just shrugging and heading in and them at the front getting their console.
“Cool!” said Button and Sweetie Belle with both their hoofs holding a Ponystation 4.
“Wanna play some games at my house!” said Button.
“Sure,” said Sweetie Belle. “I mean as long as it’s okay with your mom-”
“It’s fine Sweetie,” said Love Tap looking at some games. “You two start trotting over to the house while I help Rarity (she had been taken by a swarm of gamercolts when she made the mistake of using the restroom.
“Alright!” were the echoing voices of a cloud of dust ion the shapes of the two foals.
“Since I’m here I might as well pre order “Ponies Creed Renegade” said Love Tap to herself. “I mean, I need another mature game for my shack.”
