All rights belong to their respective owners. ===================================================================== Chapter 01 The beginning of a new order ===================== It is the 24th of June. The bells were ringing throughout Canterlot. The time is 8:30 AM, and businesses were opening all over the country. Celestia woke up at the sound of the bells ringing from the churches around the city. She sat up in bed and looked out the window and at the blue and pink sky. The bedroom doors opened and princess Luna stepped in. Celestia saw her sister and smiled warmly. Luna wore a fabulouse midnight blue dress with a sparkling transparent cape which was made visible by her lavish tail. She had blue bracelets the color of her original skin. She stood upright, much like a human. As did everypony else in this world. "Good morning dear sister." "Good morning Luna." Celestia yawned and stretched. "What day is it..?" "Don't you remember? Today there is a government meeting. All of Equestria's senators and princesses will be there. Excluding me. It is to be held at the capital building." Celestia got up out of bed. She was wearing a night gown which was white with gold on it. Luna watched Celestia walk over to the changing screen. She started to undress which made Luna's face go red. The night princess quickly ran over to the bedroom doors and closed them quickly just as the guards were taking a peek. "Celestia! Why must you do this every time?! You know better then to undress within view of somepony unless it is a lover!" Celestia chuckled. "I can be naughty if I want to be." The princess stood behind the screen and started putting her cloths over the top of it. Putting on proper clothing fit for a princess. "Yes but I'm the naughty one. You are supposed to be the serious one here." Celestia stepped out from behind the screen and leaned on it with a smirk. She was wearing a white regal dress with a transparent cape with a pattern on it much like Luna. Celestia's folded wings covered the back of her dress. She had her arm bracelets on, and gold high heels. "Yes, as true as that may be, I should be allowed to be immature as much as you are." Luna sighed and face palmed. "Please sister today isn't the day for you act like this. The revolutionaries are out there, you have to address the senate and Cadence is in the throne room waiting for you." Celestia stopped leaning on the blind and adopted her usual personality. "Very well. I'll tell the maids that they will not need to dress me this morning." Celestia reopened the doors of the bedroom. The guards were at their usual places so that they wouldn't be reprimanded for their perverted behavior. Celestia stood between the guards her were still and stern. The princess closed her eyes and outstretched her wings, booping the guards on the nose and causing them to fall over. She chuckled to herself while the guard held their noses. She folded up her wings and moved on to the throne room where Princess Cadence was waiting. Cadence saw Celestia enter the room and bowed with a smile. "Aunt Celestia." "Good morning Cadence. I trust the journey was not too tiring." Cadence smiled. "Not at all." The crystal princess looked around for Twilight. "Has Twilight arrived yet?" Spitfire stepped forward. "Speaking of Twilight Sparkle, I received a letter from her husband Flash Sentry. It's for you Princess Celestia." Celestia looked at the wonderbolt leader and gently took the letter which was handed to her. "Thank you Spitfire." The princess opened the letter and read its content to the end where she sighed. "What's wrong Auntie?" Celestia looked at Cadence. "Twilight won't be coming." "Why not?! She is needed there at the meeting." "I know that. But you know how she's been since he resurfaced." Cadence looked down and looked a little afraid. "... Godzilla...' Cadence could still hear Godzilla's horrible roar from the attack on Manehatten months before. "Why would Twilight be interested in such a creature? She's not just researching it she's looking for it..." "It is worrisome, I know. But the more we know the better." Cadence nodded. Spitfire was having something whispered into her ear. She looked at the princesses and cleared her throat. "Princess's. It is time. We will escort you." Celestia Nodded. "Thank you Spitfire." Cadence walked over to Shining armor and took his hand. "Sorry to ignore you like that honey." "Don't worry about it." Shining Armor smiled. "Come on, let's get going." Cadence nodded, and together they exited the castle, Following Celestia and stepped into a carriage with the princess. Spitfire fly in front of the carriage with other armed wonderbolt body guards. The flew in front, behind, and beside the carriage in case the Revolutionaries decide to attack. There weren't only a pegasus force but an earth pony and unicorn force of bodyguards to protect the princesses. Not too far away, a pony was watching through binoculars. The unicorn chuckled to himself watching the Carriage as it made its way to the capital building, he then turned his attention to a pony who was standing in the middle of the side walk. The unicorn blinked his horn a few times, letting a pair of earth ponies dressed in black know that their target was in position. They snuck up on their target, and put a bag over his head, dragging him into the ally behind him. He put up a struggle but was quickly stopped with one punch from one of his captives. One of the earth ponies turned on a walkie talkie and spoke into it. "Target has been captured, we are returning him back to base." "Good job boys." The unicorn smiled. Some time had passed. The pony that had been captured could hear voices around him. His vision was blurry, he couldn't see very well. The pony that had been taken was Jet Set. "W-where am I?" "Nice of you to join us Jet Set. I had arranged this meeting because you have something of which I need." Jet Sets vision became clearer and he could now see properly. He looked around to see he was in a large dark room, strapped to a chair, and beside him were the two earth ponies armed with military grade Assault Rifles. Jet Set started to sweat. he looked in front of him to see the shape of a figure in black, His red and green eyes glowing in the dark. His hands were the only thing that Jet Set could see other then the eyes. "Where am I? Tell me." "Beneath Canterlot, with the crystal caves." "Who are you??" "...." The ring leader did not speak. "Show yourself!" The ringleader moved forward and into the light, revealing his face. Jet Set gasped and was filled with fear. "S..S..Sombra?" Sombra grinned. "So nice of you to remember me." Sombra spoke with a young arrogant voice. This Sombra was a 18 year old. "You're a wanted terrorist. After your failure to Conquer the Crystal Empire you've been on the run. Why are you here?" Sombra snickered and tapped his fingertips. "Why am I here?" Sombra leaned in close to the sweating upper class pony. "I'm here to change this country." A large smile formed on Sombra's lips. "You see I have friends in the senate who want to remove the monarchy and put in its place, a government of equality. A system where everything is controlled by one government, money, food, water even lives!" "A dictatorship?" "Precisely. This government run by a princess is out dated, ancient and over rated. A new government is needed. A new world order." "You are insane!" "Do you think so?" Sombra's grin dropped. "You hear that fellas? I'm insane." Sombra chuckled for a moment. Then there was a long pause. "Just let me go, please.." Sombra pulled a knife out of the table and jammed it deep into Jet Sets hand, twisting it at the same time. "Aaarrggh!!!!! M-my hand!!" Sombra sat on the table in front of Jet set, with one leg over the other. "Now listen. I can't bring the monarchy down without the war machines, and don't say they are in short supple because I know better. War Machines have been in high demand since the country lose so many in those Godzilla attacks on the east coast. You dabble in making weaponry for defending the nation. I want you to supply us with tanks." "W-why don't your buddies in the senate do that... w-why me!" "Because the Princess knows that these individuals are corrupt bastards that want power and would kill for it. They'd find out easily that they are supplying us with tanks and they would be banished for it. But if somepony were to supply us from the outside, besides we need you alive to supply us. If you don't help us, I will bury this knife in your hand into your throat, then I will leave you to die. So what do you say? This is your life on the line." Jet Set looked Sombra in the eyes utterly terrified. "B-but..." Sombra sighed. "You're annoying me already." The unicorn kicked Jet Set in the stomach knocking him and his chair over. The two earth ponies stood back and Watched their boss. Sombra stepped on Jet Sets neck and pressed down. "The chances of you leaving this room alive is slim, much more then you realize. I want tanks, weapons that can cause damage. I want to blow level half the city." Jets Set gulped. "I-It'll take a few days.. J-Just don't kill me please..." Sombra snickered. "Good choice" Sombra cut him free, but one of the earth ponies put a bag over his head. "Escort him out, but bring no harm to him. The last thing we need is a valuable asset being harmed...too much." Sombra started laughing. Meanwhile, the capital building was packed with senators and politicians of all sorts by the time Celestia and Cadence arrived. The politics were bickering about the giant monster attacks that have been frequently happening. The prime minister stood up and announced the princesses arrival to which the officials went quiet. Princess Celestia walked up onto the front of the politics and stood in front of her throne which was in the center. Cadence stood in front of hers which was beside Luna's throne which was to the right of Celestia's throne also in the center. Shining Armor stood by Cadence like a loyal bodyguard. The politicians bowed. "Welcome Princess Celestia, and Princess Cadence!" All the politicians said. Princess Celestia gestured for them to sit down. They did, and so did she and Cadence. Princess Celestia wanted get the more serious matters out of the way, but before she could read from a list of names of ponies who have something to say, one of the senators stood up. "Princess Celestia, where is Twilight Sparkle?" Celestia cleared her throat. "Twilight Sparkle is conducting research on the monster, Godzilla 20 miles off the coast of Manhatten, research I have no doubt will be useful in our endeavors to discover more about the leviathan." "You mean to say that she is trying to locate the bones of the original beast, that attacked Manehatten 60 years ago." Said a senator. "We are all aware that Twilight Sparkle was put in charge of a top secret project to create a fully weaponized Mecha piloted by hand picked wonderbolts who have the mental capacity to handle such a task. It reminds me of the Jet Jaguar initiative, it involved controlling the Jet Jaguar by syncing ones mind to it, this was a dangerous method of controlling Mecha units prior to the insertion of a robot brain." Said another senator. Celestia talked through a micro-phone. "I would like it if this project remained confidential, I thank you for getting this out of the way before the camera's roll. No I will not have a repeat of the Jet jaguar incident which involved Godzilla, Gigan and the seapony god Megalon. Mind linking is a banned method of Mecha controlling, and It will continue to be so. Cameras start rolling for the public news on politics. Celestia could no longer hold off the matters that needed to be addressed, she looked at a list of names and called out the first one. "Senator Cloverfield, we will now hear the matter you wish to address." A grayish yellow earth pony stood up and cleared his throat. "Princess I wish to address the growing Kamacuras issue. The Kamacuras populations are growing far larger then the Meganula population did. Maser Weapons only slow them down. The only weaponry that seem to have an effect are the crystal missals Princess Cadence of the Crystal empire invented in the event of Godzilla making it that far in land." Shining Armor felt compelled to speak and did. "We allow Equestria to use the weapons because regardless of public opinion The Crystal Empire is an Equestrian city as well as a country all on its own." "Honey... please." Cadence looked over at Senator Cloverfield. "Senator, we will continue to supply you with weapons... against my wishes..." Cadence looked down sadly. Shining Armor frowned and sighed. "The crystal Empire wishes for mass disarmament of it's weapons. We are tired of these weapons of war." The whole court started chattering. Some shouted about how the Crystal weapons keep the monsters at bay, and are the only weapons that can actually harm the monsters. Others were only interested in how they could be used to defeat enemy countries such the Griffons home land and Dragonia. Cadence outstretched her wings and raised her voice. "SILENCE!!!" The court/senate went quiet. Cadence folded her wings up again. "The decision for disarmament is mine to make. I will keep the weapons on hand however, should my empire be attacked." Senator Cloverfield spoke again. "All I ask is that we be supplied with more of the crystal weapons so we stand a chance." He sits down. Celestia read another name. "It's been a while since you've had something to say, Mr. Honda." Honda stood up from his seat, holding sheets of paper. "Princess Celestia. I'd like to re-open the Infant Island Expedition Daring Doo  proposed 57 years ago. We believe the Island may hold the answers we have been looking for. The cure for cancer, a solution to illnesses and possible a way to stop Godzilla." Celestia leaned forward and spoke into the microphone. "It is too dangerous. Infant Island was the site of Nuclear testing 60 years ago. The mutations that may inhabit the island are undocumented. It is impossible to determine what we might find there." "Oh princess, if only you had an open mind." Celstia looked around the room as did the other politics. Armed ponies broke the door down and entered, taking hostages and holding the princesses at gunpoint. "Revolutionaries." "So sorry to barge in on this meeting of the nations politics my dear princess but I couldn't live in a world run by you for another second." "Sombra! I might've know you, would have been pulling the strings!" Sombra smiled. "I don't think it is I pulling the strings. This wasn't my plan to begin with. The idea for this revolution was originally your brothers." Celestia's eyes widened. "Discord..." "Yes. Discord wanted power and he wanted the royal family out of the way. Now it's my turn. I am going to lead Equestria into a bright and glorious future. A future you have been holding back since you came to power. Everything will be how controlled by the government, by me. And anypony who defies us will be shot." Cadence reached for a knife she had strapped to her thigh. "A dictatorship... So that's what you want. Where is my sister Sombra?!" "Luna is safe. But that all depends on you now. I do not want to kill you." "Isn't murder the only thing you are good at." Sombra chuckled. Cadence pulled the knife on Sombra and slashed at him, cutting his eye before stabbing him in the arm. Cadence then turned to Shining Armor and took his hand and took flight. "Hold on Shining Armor!" A burst of wind launched her and shining armor upward. She flew threw the doors of the room. Sombra shot at Cadence but missed her. Sombra grabbed a communicator and talked into it. "Princess Cadence is escaping, when you see her Kill her! Shoot her down!!: Sombra told the revolutionaries at the front of the capital building. Cadence flew through the halls of the capital building. Shining Armor shot at revolutionaries who shot at them or got in the way. "We're almost there." She flew faster and faster and faster. Revolutionaries blocked the door and took aim at the princess and the unicorn and let loose a barrage of ammunition on them. Cadences horn started to glow a bright pink, as did her eyes. And from her horn came a stream of magical energy which shot at the soldiers and made them duck down allowing Cadence and Shining Armor to fly over them. Once they were out they didn't get far. Cadence had stopped flying and was now hovering, shocked at the chaos Canterlot was in. Citizens were running from soldiers shooting at them. The entire Canterlot military were firing upon citizens, buildings, monuments and all. Tanks moved through the streets, Wonderbolts attempted to fight back but many of them were shot down or killed. In her shock, Cadence failed to realize the soldiers behind her. Shining Armor turned around to see them and back up. "Cadence behind you!!" Princess Cadence turned around to see the soldiers. They had their gun pointe at her and shining armor. They loaded their weapons and prepared them for firing. She turned her head and looked at Shining Armor. "Shining Armor..." And with those words, the soldiers unleashed their bullets unto them. Cadence and Shining Armor both were incapacitated. Only cadence got the bulk of the gunfire due to her Alicorn Status. They fell to the ground heavily wounded. Shining Armor crawled to his wife, dragging his stinging, wrecked body across the stone ground to hold her hand. The Princess of the Crystal Empire coughed up blood and looked into Shining Armors eyes for a moment before closing them, and drifting off to sleep. Shining Armor was heart broken by this and passed out. The soldiers moved in to take them away. Unaware they were being watched by a pair of Breezies who were horrified by the brutality of these larger lifeforms. They looked at each other and and walked away, vanishing. In Manehatten, 20 miles off the coast, Twilight Sparkle was in a submarine exploring the bottom of the ocean. She kept her utmost focus on the seabed, hoping to find the remains of the 1st Godzilla, but all she could find were the small Destoroyah Crabs and other sea life, scuttling around the seafloor or swimming around the sub. Twilight sighed and wiped some sweat away. She wore a swim suit beneath a jacket, she also had a life vest on. She thought for a moment but not a moment longer. There was static on the radio and a voice came through. "Come in Scuba 10. Twilight." Twilight picked up the radio. "Twilight here, what's wrong Doctor?" "You need to get up here... T-There are soldiers here, and they are asking for you." "Why? What's going on?" "S-Sombra he... he's done it... Equestria is his now... Cadence and Shining Armor are missing..." Twilight's eyes widened she took her finger off the talk button for a moment then pressed it again. "I-I'll be right up... Over and out." Twilight sighed and looked up. "Cadence... Shining Armor.... why..? Why is this happening..." Twilight prepared to resurface, she was hitting switches, preparing the submarines raising function when her radar got a blip. Twilight looked at this blip and saw that it was directly ahead of her. Curious Twilight disengaged the subs rising controls, sat down in the chair, grabbed the controls and drove the sub forward. She saw the depth of the object was further down at least 20 feet down. The unicorn started to lower the sub down, deeper and deeper until it had gotten dark. Twilight flicked a few switches and turned on the subs lights which shone on a gigantic wing. The wing had grayed with decay with only very few of it's old vibrant colors still showing. Twilight made the lights brighter, allowing them to shine on the strange object. The lights showed to Twilights horror, the decaying remains of a gigantic, colossal butterfly. It had decayed considerably to the point of being unrecognizable, and any attempt at getting a DNA sample would futile. The sight of such a corpse shocked Twilight greatly. Suddenly, Twilight could hear two voices which were echoing from the distance. "Mosura.... Mosura...." The voices sounded so far away, is if they were the voices of ghosts, they were female voices. Twilight looked around confused. She looked outside of the window toward the carcass of the giant butterfly It's body had begun to crumble under the weight of the water.
