The Two Families.by GodOfBBQChaptersAs the Months PassNew Home, New LifeWaitingFoalsA Date Over CoffeeFirst NightsResponse Or, Morning ChoresTest ResultsAs the Months PassMonth #1 It's been an easy first month of Snowflake's pregnancy, her and Giggle were doing just swell... For the most part. They still had one problem; for their entire relationship, they've lived in Snowflake's home in Britain and the problem was that they lived in a small apartment, not the right kind of home to start a family in, so Giggle hatched an idea. "Why don't we move?" Snowflake didn't want to move, she'd lived in Britain for all her life, she didn't want to move. And if she was going to give birth to foals, she wants them to be born in Britain. "No, I don't want to move, it'll take too long and I want my kids to be born here!" Snowflake explained. Giggle couldn't tell if she was serious or if this was just a thing that happened when a mare was pregnant. Hehe, with Snowflake, it could be both. Giggle thought to himself. "Look Snow, I know you want our foals to be Brits but, lets face it, this is no place to raise kids. Look I have an old buddy of mine who's a house sales pony who can get us somethin' real cheap and big enough for a family, OK?" Snowflake still didn't like the idea of leaving her home, but she knew that it would be best for her and Giggle's foal. "Let's sleep on it. I'm too tired to think." Snowflake replied lazily. It was late at night and Gigglebox was feeling tired as well so he got in bed with Snow, he made sure to snuggle as close to her as possible for extra warmth on that cold British night. She was already starting to fall asleep. Giggle rapped his forearms around her and quickly kissed her on the cheek. He gently nibbled on her ear and laid there, it didn't take long for the both of them to fall sleep. Snowflake got barely any sleep however. She was so wrapped up in thought. Britain was her home country. Moving was really something that never crossed her mind. Learning the world again. She wasn't going to be able to cope with that. To have ponies left, right and center telling her that she'd had it wrong for the entirety of her life was her own personal nightmare. But having always been in Britain, it was always the one place things went wrong for her. Where life had to constantly mess itself up one more time. And everypony who decided they didn't care anymore lived in Britain. All the ponies who had ever turned their snobby noses up at her best attempts at perfection. That was it. She was moving, and nopony was ever going to change her mind. She was sick of ponies trying to dictate her every decision. Moving was now what she had her heart set on. She shut her eyes ,knowing now that she'd be able to sleep a little now that she didn't have anything plaguing her mind. She relaxed, sleep beginning to wash over her... Before, Meep! Meep! Meep! The alarm clock made her eyes snap open, knowing that she had to get up now, with no sleep for the next twelve hours or so. ~*~ Meanwhile Techie and Ninroot are just waking up, since Britain and Equestria have two different time zones, the ponies of Equestria woke up before the ponies of Britain. Techie slowly opened his eyes to see his loving wife right next to him, her warm breath tickled his muzzle, he kissed her on the cheek thus waking her up. "Good morning Nin." Techie said with a gentle smile. "Mm, good morning Techie." Ninroot replied with the same gentle smile as Techie, only a little bit more tired. They laid there for a few more minutes as they shared there love for each other. Ninroot gently stroked Techie's mane while he gently kissed her on her forehead making Ninroot blush, but only a little. Techie got out of bed, leaving Ninroot who was still half asleep. Techie went to the door because he thought he saw a small scroll on the ground. And it was, he opened it and read it. It said that he out of ten volunteers were chosen to build a log home for charity purposes. He was always getting mail like this, where the public asks random ponies to build another house, or shop. But this time, Techie had to do it. He wasn't a volunteer but the signature at the bottom was the mayor's and when the mayor tells you to do something. You do it. Techie let out a moan of frustration, he was handy with tools and building, but he never liked having to work with others. He was always a solo worker, never a team worker. He always found that if you work in a team, you have more ponies to tell what to do when they do it wrong. To Techie, that was all foalsitting. "Hurensohn!" Techie yelled in a foreign language. "What is it Techie?" Ninroot asked getting up from the bed. "I have to build some new house with a bunch of other stallions, ugh! I hate working with other ponies! It's such a waste of time!" Techie didn't have time to talk some more. He had to get to the construction sight by 10:00 AM. He grabbed a small gadget that had a little switch on the bottom with a pull out antenna. He would be able to reach radio waves in the air, and be able to listen to music. His company has sold millions of them all over Equestria, but there were still some inventions that he is yet to share with the company. Since the scroll said to bring personal tools if possible, he packed his own. Before he left, Ninroot gave him a little sack of lunch, and with a quick kiss, he left. When he arrived, he felt like a new student at a school. There was nopony there that he could recognize. There were mostly stallions but surprisingly there were a small group of mares working too. Wonder if they're dikes. Techie thought to himself, as he was unloading surprisingly Wacky Tabacky stood next to him with a spare helmet for Techie in his hoof. "Hey thanks." Techie said as he grabbed for the helmet. Wacky surprisingly wasn't his usual laid back self. He was jittery and more talkative. "Hey Tech, you uh... You a volunteer? Because I was told to be here. I think the mayors on to me about selling weed here, hey speaking of you want some? I haven't had a-" He was talking faster than the radio host Techie heard from his little device. "Wacky! Calm down fella. What's going on?" Techie asked humbly as he started cutting some wood in half. "Oh, nothing bro. Just, Avian and Blurry made me stop smoking in the house for practice for when the bay is born. They don't want the kid to smell weed or something like that. I mean, it smells great dude. You wanna smell?" Techie obviously rejected Wacky's offer. Techie screamed in his mind knowing that he would be stuck doing this with Wacky for nine full hours. "Oh, it's gonna be a long day." Techie said with a sigh. "What was that Tech?" Wacky quickly asked. "Uh, nothing." ~*~ Month #2 Giggle has been having trouble finding a cheap house for his family to be. Even with the help of his friend, he had no luck. Until a clever idea popped into his head. He sent a letter to his friend about living in a home in Ponyville. Giggle thought that since it was a smaller town and had less ponies living there he figured that the homes would be cheaper. Two days later, his friend sent a reply message to Giggle, and it said, You're in luck buddy! The town of Ponyville's gonna build a house for charity purposes! And I got my hooves on the land before any other landlords could, so you'll be the first family to live in the place, I don't know what kind of house it will be however, all I know is that it'll be big enough for a family! So when it's finished you'll be the first to know buddy! -Your friend, Coin Pinch Giggle was very glad to get such great news, he was about to tell Snowflake. But he wanted it to be a surprise, little did he know Snowflake had a surprise for him too. And that surprise would come to him sooner than he would think. It was Friday, finally. And Giggle was just getting off work from the docks. Conveniently the old shipping business he worked in back in Manehatten had a port in England, such luck. The only problem however was that Giggle had to fly home in the rain. Apparently the weather team in Britain, really liked the rain. Gigglebox opened the door to his house. He was cold, he was utterly drenched, and as if that wasn't enough, his wife's lack of skill in the culinary arts had caused the smoke alarms to go off and made the entire house smell like a failed attempt of cooking. Things really weren't working out for him today. Snowflake walked towards him, coughing a little. "Somepony's waiting for you in the living room. Said they wanted to see you. And in case you're wondering, yes, it is take-away tonight." Giggle sighed, walking towards the living room. He really, really, didn't want to talk to anypony. All he wanted was to be dry. And warm. And for the house not to smell of burnt... Whatever Snowflake tried to cook. I really need to get this girl a cookbook one day. Gigglebox thought to himself as the horrid odor shot into his nostrils. He opened the door to the living room. It'd be all over in a few minutes, and then he could find some air freshener. He looked at the pony sitting on the sofa. It was a pony he knew well. The room started spinning before his eyes, making him feel sick. He tried to grab onto something, anything, but his sight went black, and he hit the floor. ~*~ He woke up, not even remembering why he passed out in the first place. The room started forming again, and somepony's soft hoof was aiding him to his hooves. He thought that it was Snowflake at first, but he remembered that Snowflake's hooves where a pure white, and this pony's hooves were a cream color. And if it was Snowflake, then her mane would have fallen over her shoulders, and would be tickling him ever so slightly. This was a far cry from Snowflake. He knew precisely who this was. "M...mom?" He said in a whisper, barely even audible to himself. "Son." The voice replied, still mastering comfort, still maintaining calmness. Tears started to fill Gigglebox's eyes, some already spilling down his cheeks. His mother's hoof wiped them away, only making him sob harder, throwing his forelegs around her neck, and nuzzling his head into her neck. He didn't notice that he was still soaked from the rain outside. He didn't notice that he was still freezing cold. He didn't even notice Snowflake in the doorway, quietly sobbing to herself. He didn't even need to. All he needed right now was his mother. And here she was, doing the job she had been deprived of for the past eleven years. Eleven years that should never have happened. "H-how did you know where I was?" He managed to choke out between sobs. "Your wife is a truly amazing mare," his mother said, her voice still calm, with both love and sincerity behind it, "She used to work for me." Gigglebox looked in disbelief at his mother, then at Snowflake, then back at his mother again. "I know! Crazy small word we live in, right?" Said Snowflake from the doorway. "It was a long time ago now, she would have only been about nineteen." Replied his mother, "I moved to Britain for a little while, to take a little break from reality." He could hear Snowflake giggle as she said, "I think we could all use one of those." "And one day I just poured my heart out to her. She was just the nearest pony to me that'd listen. I didn't tell her your name, but it honestly doesn't look like I needed to. I moved back here a few years ago. And last week, I got a letter from her explaining everything. I can't tell you how happy I was when I got it. I was beyond happy. I don't even think there's a word in the dictionary to describe how I felt." "You see, look," Said Snowflake, walking towards the pair, "I was thinking last night, 'I wonder if that poor made ever found her son', and then I realized that she hadn't, because I had! Everything just made sense. You both said pretty much the exact same things. And here we are now!" Gigglebox suddenly realized that both him and Snowflake had neglected to tell his mother something very important. "And guess what, mom? You're gonna be a grandma." His mother's face lit up in pure joy... When she woke up a few minutes later from fainting. The rest of the day nearly passed when Giggle's mother was there, but later on she had to leave. But Giggle didn't mind, he knew now that his mother was only walking distance away. But when she left, it was nearly 9:00. Since it was so late, Giggle asked his mother if she needed to be walked home, but she said with confidence that just because she's old, doesn't mean she can't walk a couple blocks. After some dinner from a near by fast food place. Giggle and Snow went to bed. Before they fell asleep Giggle whispered in Snowflakes ear. "I have a surprise for you too." This gained Snow's curiosity, she flipped over to face him and asked what it was. Giggle got out of bed and went to a near dresser. He grabbed the scroll and gave it to Snow. Her face quickly turned into a giant grin of excitement. But then a very important question popped into her head. "How will we get there?" Giggle's face turned straight and nervous. He hadn't thought of that, and the house was estimated to be finished by the end of next month. And packing all there stuff and moving across the ocean wasn't an over night task. But his usual happy grin formed on his face. "Don't worry Snow, I'll think of something." He said as he got back into bed. A few minutes later, they fell asleep. ~*~ The next morning was very nerve racking for Gigglebox. He had to think of a way to get to Ponyville in a quick and organized fashion. But then another thought ran through Giggle's already hurting head. His mother lived in Britain, and after eleven years of searching he finally found her, and now they were going to leave her again. But he didn't have time to think of this problem, he had to get to work soon. Giggle had the same position in his new job from his last one. He was packing products that would ship from Britain to all over the world. He had an idea. He would ask his boss for space on one of the trade ships for him and Snowflake, that would go to Equestria. Gigglebox's boss was a middle aged stallion named, Wooden Overload. Giggle's plan was simple, he would ask his boss for his last pay check, buy space on a cargo ship with the money he got from his recent raise and his pay check. It was Giggle's last hour on the job and he used this time to ask his boss the question. "Um, Mr. Overload? Can I speak with you?" Overload was signing some paperwork at his desk. "What is it Gigglebox." He said lazily without making eye contact. "Um, I'm going to be moving soon, because the wife's going to have our first kid, and I need to get a space on one of the cargo ships going to Equestria. Overload looked up at him in dismay, he never liked it when a worker wanted to quit. "Are you saying you want to quit Gigglebox?" Giggle wanted to walk out then and there, but he knew he had to do this. "Sir, I know that you sold space to other workers before, just give me this one thing then I'm outta your mane forever!" Giggle couldn't help but think that he's been in this situation before, but he thought nothing of it. "Look, chap, I know I've sold space to other workers before, but that's because they were hard working ponies. I know you've been here for about five years, correct? But these spaces quite a bunch. I don't know if you can afford it." This disappointed Gigglebox, but then he remembered that Equestrian bits were more expensive than British pounds. "How's 3,000 bits sound to 'ya, Overload?" This gained his boss's attention. "Hmm, I can check for some cheap space, but I don't know if I can find enough-" "Plus my entire pay." Overload did the math and the numbers nearly made him vomit. "You're one smart pony, lad." Haggling was one of Giggle's many talents which he is disappointed to say, that he got from his father. After punching out, Giggle was more than eager to get home, it wasn't raining that day, he just bought space for a boat trip to Equestria, he finally found his mother, and his beloved wife was months away from having their first child. Nothing could go wrong. He burst through the door and called out, "Snow! I'm home!" His cheerful mood melted into a nervous one when he saw the stallion confront him. Oh, crap! Snow's dad! Giggle thought to himself, he knew that he was going to get it this time. Knowing that her father never liked him one bit. And he despised him even more when Snowflake and him got married. Now Snow was about to have a child and they were moving to Ponyville. This was going to be a blood bath. "H-Hello, Mr-" "You. Me. Kitchen. Now!" The cold roughness of his voice sent chills down Giggle's spine, he knew he was in for it now. "Yes, sir..." Giggle followed Snow's father to the kitchen, he practically dragged behind him. It wasn't until then that he realized that Snowflake wasn't home, it was just him and her father. In an empty home, with no law enforcement nearby. Her father leaned on the counter top, and to make the moment even more scary for Giggle was the fact that Snow's dad was playing with a small pocket knife. "Tell me, my little girl is going to have her first child. Did you have a part in this?" Giggle was sweating marbles. "Y-yes sir." Snow's father arose from his original position, then Giggle went hysterical and started calling out all the excuses that could be used to explain a pregnancy. "THERE WAS ALCOHOL INVOLVED, WE USED PROTECTION BUT IT BROKE, WE WERE AT A PARTY, WE-" His moment of cowardice was halted with a simple, "Shut your gob, lad! All I want from you is to be a good father, and don't do anything you might regret! Understand?" Giggle quickly nodded in agreement and fear. Then Snow's father left through the back door. And almost on cue Snowflake stepped inside. She saw Giggle still frozen in fear. She knew exactly what this was about. "Let me guess; my father paid you a little visit, and now you're scared even more by him." Giggle just stared off into the distance. "Yeah, I thought so." ~*~ It was Techie's last day at the construction site, thankfully his team didn't screw off and they actually got work done. But what bothered Techie was that Wacky kept going to the bathroom every few minutes and every time Techie or any other worker went in, they would smell a horrid stench. Another thing that didn't bother Techie until now was the fact the this house was near his and Avian's, Techie then realized that he would be getting neighbors soon. He didn't mind the fact of getting neighbors but he didn't feel comfortable with the idea, he always liked having a home where nopony could find it. Avian was an exception since his house was quarter mile away. But this house was only a couple hundred feet away, at this point he could only hope that the neighbors are either old pony folk looking for a nice quiet retirement home. Or a quiet shut in who wants nothing to do with other ponies. Finally after seven hours of final touch up working Techie and the crew finally finished, it was a log cabin quite like his only this one had three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a small kitchen and dining area and a basement. All this made Techie think, sure he had another room for his future child, but he sure didn't have enough space. As he thought of this a young stallion approached Techie. "Hello sir, my name is Coin Pinch. Eh, were you one of the ponies who built this fine home?" "yeah, what about it?" Techie asked with an annoyed voice, all he wanted to do was get home and take a nap. Sadly that wouldn't happen for a while. "Well, I must say well done. Here's my card." Coin Pinch gave Techie a card that he kept under his wing. Techie didn't read it however, he waited for Coin Pinch to leave so he could throw it away, he didn't need help from a real estate agent. Finally he was able to go home and rest. When he got home he didn't see Ninroot though, all he found was a note on the bedroom door. I had a feeling this would be the first room you would go after work. I'm out with Blurry for brunch, and I made you some food. It's in the fridge. -Ninroot Techie didn't bother getting the food though, he was too tired to eat. Finally he got in his bed and instantly fell asleep. ~*~ Meanwhile Blurry and Ninroot were enjoying their nice brunch with each other. "So, how are things with you and Techie?" Blurry asked, she was always a mare of gossip. "Oh, just fine. He's been working for about two or three weeks now. He told me that today was his last day at the construction site." Ninroot said replied as she ate her food, her and Blurry's brunch consisted of a few slices of cheese, baked beans with slices of red peppers and lemons. It seemed that Blurry and Ninroot's cravings started to begin. As they ate Blurry would stop to ask more questions about Ninroot's pregnancy, finally after an hour of eating and talking they paid for the meal and left. When Blurry got home she was confused, she could have sworn she smelt weed. Little did she know that Wacky was silently smoking a joint right on the couch next to her. He stayed perfectly still and quiet until she went to her and Avian's room. He quietly walked out the door with all his weed under his wing. ~*~ Month #4 "Twins...?" Gigglebox whispered, his eyes filling with tears, as he looked at his wife for what could well be one of the last times. "Yep. Seventy-five percent chance of biting it." Snowflake replied, as though finding out that you were probably going to die in five months was an everyday thing. Gigglebox couldn't imagine his life without Snowflake. A life devoid of a best friend. A life devoid of love. A life devoid of meaning. He remembered those five days without her like they happened yesterday. The only comfort he had then was knowing that she was still there. But should she not make it, then he wouldn't even have that comfort anymore. She would just be the pony that he used to be hopelessly in love with. "So, that's a twenty-five percent chance of making it, right?" He said, trying to keep the mood optimistic. Snowflake rolled her eyes. "It's not going to happen." Gigglebox looked in amazement at his wife. "How are you not terrified right now?!" "Death happens. There's nothing you can do to stop it." "You're not going to die, Snow." He insisted, pulling her close to him, "You're too precious to me." He looked at his wife's face, not ever wanting to look away. 'From now on,' he thought to himself, 'I'm going to look at her at every available opportunity.' He looked down at her, her wavy, deep blue mane, with powder blue stripes falling vertically in it... her pure white coat... her icy, pale blue eyes. Forget it, he didn't need to look at her, he already had her memorized. All he needed was to see her smile. It was only now that he became vaguely aware of Snowflake sobbing into his chest. "I'm not even a mum yet and I'm already failing as a parent! Maybe it's a good thing I'm going to snuff it, there's no way in hell I could ever be a decent parent!" Gigglebox looked at his wife in dismay. "Don't you say that! You don't say that, Snow! Now, listen to me; you are not going to die. The Snow I know is too headstrong to give in like that. Were is she? I miss her. Please, Snow, don't give in now!" "I'm sorry, it's just... I'll never get to see my kids!" She started crying again, her mane covering her face as she bent her head. "Snow, I thought we already established the fact that you are not going to die." "It's a bloody seventy-five percent chance!" She shouted, "Face it, I'm as good as dead, and you know it! Just accept it!" This hurt Gigglebox. Not because she was angry at him, but because she was right. He was in total denial. He didn't want to loose the most precious mare in the world to... Something that was bound to happen to everyone. She did make a very good point there. He was going to apologize, but Snowflake beat him to it. "Look, I'm sorry, it's just...I'm a bit worked up, that's all." "Giggle? I-I need you to promise me something." "Anything, Snow. Anything at all. " "Say that I do snuff it-" "Which you won't." Gigglebox interrupted. "Giggle, it's a seventy-five percent chance." She said softly, "Anyway, should I bite it in there, I need you to promise me something. J-just be a good dad to them, 'okay? Make up for the fact that they don't have a mum." "Snow, you don't even need to ask me to do that." He said, moving her mane out her face. "I know it's dumb, I just needed to make sure, that's all." "And I need you to promise me something; make sure you put up a fight in there, okay?" "Consider it done!" She said, a smile playing at her lips as she gave a salute. Gigglebox couldn't go a lifetime without seeing that smile. He could barely even go a day without seeing it. 'You better not leave me here alone, Snow.' The rest of the day was very depressing for Gigglebox. With the possibility that he would be a widower with two children to take care of on his own, and the fact that he needed to get ready for the move to Ponyville. So, later that day while Snowflake was taking a nap he went out to the nearest pub to just think. It didn't take long for him to get there, since it was only blocks away. He entered the dim building that smelt like alcohol and old food. He took a seat in the seat in the very back of the small pub. And just thought. After a few minutes waiting a young mare came by the table with a small glass shot glass and a bottle of booze. Gigglebox wasn't much of a drinker, but when he needed to clear his head he took a couple shots and then he would go on with his day. But today was different for the poor stallion. During the middle of his drunk thoughts, his inner thoughts started to speak to him. 'What are you doin, Giggle? You're drinking yourself to death. A few more and you'll be on the side of the curb again.' "But *hic* what am I supposed t-to do? *hic* she, she said that it's a s-seventy five percent chance. *hic* Leaving only t-twenty five percent *hic* chance!" Little did Gigglebox know that almost the entire half of the pub's workers and customers were staring at the drunk stallion. 'Look, we both know that you failed math as a kid, but that twenty five percent could be her! Sure it could be rare, and basically a miracle but it's still possible!' "It's possible? How in the living hell, is there a chance for her to make it?" 'Did you not just listen to my words?' "Nah, I was too busy looking at this dude's food... Looks pretty good... WAITER!!" Giggle shouted still with his gaze on the other stallions meal. 'No, don't order anything! You're going to go home and you're going to comfort your wife! Who knows if she will survive? Maybe she will, maybe she won't just spend the time you do have with her making her happy! And not wasting it here, getting wasted! You understand?' "Hey, y- you're right. *hic* I- I'm gonna go and ta-take care *hic* of, Snow!" Giggle said shooting up from his booth. As he got up, the same young mare who served him the drinks confronted him. "Sir, we're going to have to ask you to leave. You're causing too much of a disturbance here" Giggle scowled at the young mare. "Ah! Whatever, *hic* Y-you can't kick me *hic* out! I thought th-this was a free coun-country!" Suddenly Giggle felt hooves on his shoulder, he looked up at a buff looking stallion starting to push him out the pub. "Y-You, you let me go! You prosti-prosti... Damn I forgot what I was g-going to s-say!" The bouncer dragged Giggle to the door and pushed him out the door; so hard in fact that Giggle fell to the ground. "H-hey! Th-that's assault! *hic* I-I'm gonna sue you!" When Giggle finished his threats he left, going back to his home. He opened the door and stumbled into the living room, he had trouble climbing the stairs. He had so much of a problem that he tripped up the stairs. He entered his and Snowflake's bedroom to see Snowflake still sleeping in the bed. Still in his drunk state, he slumped down on the bed and scooted closer to Snowflake. Not even seconds later, he passed out on the bed. But making Snowflake wake up to the smell of alcohol. ~*~ While everything was going fine with Techie and Ninroot, Avian and Wacky are having some trouble. "Dude! You can't do this to me Avian!" Wacky pouted. There was only four months left until Blurry would give birth and Avian wanted to sweep the entire house of Wacky's drugs. "I'm sorry bro, but you can't have your meds here, the baby's do in like a few more months or so and Blurry wants this house to be drug free. "But dude, what about my problem? I'm sure you kid doesn't want to smell my cream dude!" Avian looked at Wacky with a tired and frustrated frown. "Just do this at your house! You have another home than just here! Remember?" Wacky returned the same scowl. "Dude, you've gone soft! Ever since you learned that Blurry was gonna have a foal, you've gone all 'Responsible Mode' on me! You're a freaking killer on my high bro!" Avian just ignored the Pegasus. Avian packed and shoved Wacky's weed and drugs into a bag and gave it to Wacky. He then went to the door and opened it waiting for Wacky to leave. "Get out of my house. Now!" Wacky grabbed his things and went towards the door. Avian only frowned at his friend, before Wacky left he said one last thing. "Go fuck yourself Mr. Father Figure!" Wacky then stormed out the door, making Avian slam the door behind him. Blurry hearing all this happen said, "You did the right thing babe." Avian turned to Blurry who was feeling around to find Avian. "I know Blurry, but he was my oldest friend. I feel like I just kicked out a brother or something." Blurry eventually found Avian and comforted him the best she could. "It's okay Avian, it'll be alright. I promise that this foal won't change a thing! I promise." Avian looked at his lover who had her head on his shoulder. "Okay babe, I trust you." New Home, New LifeToday was the day, the day Giggle and Snowflake's lives were going to change. Today was the day when they would board a ship to Equestria. This was Snowflakes seventh month of being pregnant. And she has changed in many ways. She was always tired, her whole body ached, and her belly has expanded greatly. But being the prideful mare she was, she didn't ask for Gigglebox's help when she needed it, and she didn't mind when ponies would stare. She knew that this was natural and a completely normal part of life. But the one thing that not just bothered Snowflake but Gigglebox as well, was the possibility of her untimely death. This thought made Gigglebox more quiet but loving to Snowflake. This thought has also made him nervous and paranoid for her safety, he didn't shave, he was always on some sort of medication. But he made sure to spend all the time he had available with the mare he loved. With them on this ship was Gigglebox's mother, his boss who had to tag along on a business trip to Manehatten, a large crew of British sailor ponies, Snowflake's sister Melody, who was the only one of her sisters that wasn't too busy to tag along. and the two unborn foals that lived inside Snowflake. The living quarters wasn't large, but it managed. Gigglebox let Snowflake sleep on the main bed while he usually stayed up just looking after her, or going to the ship's cafeteria for a few quick drinks. During their three day voyage, Giggle got a lot of useful advice from other crew members who were already fathers before him. And oddly enough, Giggle's boss gave him some advice. He told him to always be there for his children and to always support there choices in life. As long as those choices lead them to a good future. He also told him to be careful of who teaches his children about life, always be the first one to teach them everything they will need to know. That is what Overload would say, Giggle gratefully accepted this useful advice. The last night on the ship before landing was spent planning what they will do when they arrive. Gigglebox and Snowflake would obviously have to go to Ponyville, but they needed to plan where Giggle's mother and Snowflake's sister would stay. If the house wasn't too small, then Sweet and Melody would stay with them. But if the home was too small, then Sweet and Melody would have to find an inn or a hotel to stay in before they settle things. During the final night, Giggle still stayed up watching Snowflake as she slept; however Snowflake didn't sleep, she would always face away from Giggle because she always felt bad that he had to spend many sleepless nights just to make sure that she slept soundly. So Snowflake did the one thing she should have done before. She turned over confusing Giggle since she did not have a hint of sleepiness on her face. "Giggle, can you... Please sleep with me? I don't want you to spend another night staying up to make sure I'm fine." Giggle only looked at her, but without saying anything he obliged. He got up from his seat and lay down next to Snow. Snow believed that Giggle was actually half asleep or fully asleep because when he laid down he wrapped his rear hoof around hers, gently laid his head in the crook of her neck and wrapped his left forehoof around her belly and gently stroked it. Finally he wrapped a wing around themselves and finally fell completely asleep. It didn't take long for Snow to join Giggle in the bliss of slumber, with the warmth of Giggle's wings, him slowly rubbing her belly, and the accompaniment of Gigglebox by it self was nice. ~*~ Gigglebox awoke from his warm and comfy slumber with Snowflake, wishing that this moment could last for all eternity. He didn't want to let his angel go, not yet; not unless he could go with her. His grip tightened around Snowflake as warm tears filled his closed eyes, he lay there for what seemed like hours but he slowly and reluctantly go up and left the living quarters. He saw his boss; Wooden Overload looking off to the distance while drinking a mug of coffee. He glanced at Giggle with a smirk, he gestured with his head for Giggle to come towards him, he put a hoof around his neck ad pointed to the shores and distant harbor of Manehatten. "See that lad? That there is Equestria, I know it may not seem much to you; but lad, it means the world and more to me." Giggle still looked off to the docks and harbor, the city smells of bustling ponies, coffee, cigarettes and a hint of sea water tickled Giggle's nose. A smell that was too familiar yet foreign to him on account of living in Britain for five years. "It's new opportunity for me lad, it's new experiences for me lad." Overload chuckled. "All it is to me is home, and sad memories. That's all this dump has to offer me." Giggle said in a low tone. "Look lad, I know that you're scared of being a new father, but in the end; it'll end out swell." Overload said in a cheap chipper tone. "And it should be boss, but the possibility of me being an only father? Having to care for two foals by myself and when they're scared and need a mother to hold them, I can't just do that! I mean, I could if I wanted to but what if they have friends? What if they get friends with moms and dads and they come home from school asking, 'Daddy? Why don't we have a mommy like the other kids?' I can't lie to them, it would be too hard for both me and the kids." Giggle said repeatedly glancing at his boss trying not to show any tears. "That's when you do your best to care for them, to do your best at comforting them when they learn the sad truth. You know lad, maybe just maybe Snowflake dies and you do grow old and alone. In the end you'll be together once more, and after that your children will join you on god's golden shore. But in the meantime lad, you care for your children, you love and tolerate them, you comfort them when they have nightmares, you tuck them in at night, you say that you love them every time before they go to bed. Because at the end of the day lad, it'll all be worth it." Overload gave Giggle and pat on the back and began to walk away. "Wait, boss! Why are you being so... helpful and caring all of a sudden?" Giggle asked knowing that his boss was always an emotionless soul at work. "Let's just say that I've been through the same thing when I was a father. I didn't give my child a second chance, so I'm just making sure that you don't make the same mistake lad. You're a good stallion and you don't deserve such heartache I went through." Overload kept walking away. "Thanks boss." Giggle exclaimed making sure the middle aged stallion could hear him. "Don't mention it lad" He paused then said. "Now get your family up, we're docking in 45 minutes!" ~*~ It didn't take long for Giggle and the rest to pack up their hygiene products and other miscellaneous objects they brought on board with them, mainly because there wasn't much to pack. Something seemed different about Snowflake though. She was very distant, and often looked surprised every time Gigglebox or anyone else spoke to her. Gigglebox didn't trouble her about it, though, he knew exactly what it was about. She was scared of the unknown. What the unforeseeable future may hold. And so was he. Her distant mood was suddenly broken when the ship finally docked into Equestria. Gigglebox hadn't seen her so happy, nor so engrossed in her surroundings, for a long while. For too long. He gently shook her shoulder. “C’mon, Snow, we need to go.” She gave a quick nod, her blue mane bouncing as she did so. Two of Overload’s workers Rust Bucket and Tin Can two brothers with Tin being the oldest, had helped haul their furniture over to the train station, where they would get the train to Ponyville. Rust Bucket and Tin Can wouldn't board the train however, since they would have to stay a little longer to unload more shipment on the ship. Before Tin Can left, he gave Giggle a small note "From the boss fella" His gruff old voice rattled Giggle's eardrums. "Thanks Tin, oh good luck with the trial next week!" Giggle exclaimed. "Ah thanks fella, but I'll surely need it." Tin gave a quick salute before walking away with his brother. Giggle sat next to Snowflake and Melody, since Snow and Sweet were already asleep Giggle only had Melody to talk to. Since she was only a sister-in-law, she and he didn't have much of a connection like Melody did with Snowflake. So to Giggle it was quite awkward. Finally after waiting Giggle decided to ask Melody a question, probably start a conversation if he's lucky. "So, Mel how's it feel to know that you'll be an aunt soon?" She looked at him with a tired but still aware face and answered, "It makes me feel kinda old..." She gave a quick splutter of laughter then. "That sounded so weird then! But it's true. It kinda sucks, y'know? I mean, she's this lively little girl, and she gets stuck at home playing mum, and I'm not really doing anything much, and I still get the entire world." "You... you scared?" He asked quietly, looking at the floor. "Yeah... it's so unfair." She seemed to get angry then, "It's just so goddamned unfair." She said, kicking the ground with her hoof. Melody suddenly looked up at him, serious. "Look, not to turn into my dad or anything, but if you do anything to hurt her or those kids, I'm going to cut of your wings and send them to the Rainbow Factory. Understood?" Gigglebox nodded, but now out of pure habit. He'd heard similar threats from each of Snowflake's immediate family at least five times now. "Sorry, it's a sister thing. Snow used to do the exact same thing to my coltfriends, only slightly more graphic. Well, a lot more graphic, really." She said giggling. "Yeah, I can imagine Snow doing something like that." Replied Gigglebox. Melody sighed. "You know that feeling when you turn on the news and the first thing you hear is something like 'three year old beaten to death', and you just lose all faith in this fucked up world? That's how I feel right now. And I'm telling you, that's how I'm going to feel for the rest of my life if she bites it. Because if anyone deserves a miracle, it's her." The rest of the wait between them was quiet and awkward. Finally of what seemed to be hours of waiting, the train to Ponyville finally arrived, and they all loaded onto the train and took their seats. Giggle made sure to sit right next to Snowflake, leaving Melody and Sweet to sit across from them. It was only 3:47 but to them it was midnight, and they were all tired. Not even seconds later, they all fall sleep once more. All except Giggle who was still too stressed to sleep, suddenly he remembered the note Tin gave him earlier ago. He took it from under his wing and unfolded it, it was from Overload and it said, Dear Gigglebox, I personally want to thank you for all your hard work while working with us in the shipment bureau. I also want to personally wish you good luck on your new family lad, and remember what I said about always caring and supporting your children. I also want to say that I know how expensive it can be to care for children, especially in a new home. So in return of your hard work I'm giving you your final paycheck worth 2,000 bits. I know it's not as much as you payed me but I still need to pay the workers aye lad? Anyhow, the crew and I all wish you luck with your new life. ~Wooden Overload ~*~ Ninroot is finally in her final month of her pregnancy, and she couldn't be more excited. Little did she know that Techie had a small surprise. For about a week, Ninroot has been at her parents house at the edge of town, but Techie didn't go with her like he usually would, he said that his business needed help from him and he had a lot of work to finish. But really, he was building another room for the new foal. He would work day in and day out, from dusk to dawn. He built everything from the room's interior to the furniture that filled it. He built the furniture, painted the walls, and even installed floorboards all himself. Finally on a Sunday night, Ninroot walked into the house, with bags full of baby cloths and baby toys. "Techie! I'm home, why weren't you at the train station?" Techie was too excited to answer, only excited giggles escaped his muzzle. "Techie, you better not scare me again! You don't want the same thing to happen from last years Nightmare Night party!" Still no response. Ninroot slowly went through every door, making sure Techie wasn't going to burst through and scare her half to death. She finally made it to the bedroom door, but noticed something else near it. The only doors that were near the bedroom door was the door that lead to her green room, and the door that lead to Techie's workshop. There was also a spare room that Ninroot stayed in when her and Techie first met but, now it's just used for extra space for storage. But she noticed something odd. The door wasn't shut, it was normally closed keeping back boxes and extra junk from falling out. But instead what she saw was shiny oak wood. She stepped through to find Techie casually sitting in a padded rocking chair tinkering with one of his smaller experiments. "Oh hey!" Techie said casually, he got no reply. All he could hear were gasps and what he saw was a teary eyed Ninroot. He quickly stopped what he was doing to comfort her, but these tears weren't sad, they were happy and surprised. Techie was very relieved that she liked the room. "I'm glad you like it. Because I think I need to appear in court next week on Friday about building this room without her authority." ~*~ That same night, Gigglebox, Snowflake, Sweet Cotton, and Melody finally made it to Ponyville late at night around 3:00 Am. "Oh, that train ride was killer on my wings!" Giggle complained while stretching out his wings. They went to the end of the train to receive their luggage. All they saw was a half empty caboose with a big bundle of crates. "Well, I guess we have to unload that ourselves huh?" Melody commented. A long silence fell over the small group of family members, until Gigglebox and Snowflake heard a very unfamiliar and unsuspecting voice. "I can help." The small group turned around, to see a beige furred Pegasus wearing a black beanie carrying a saddlebag. "Okay, but... Who are you?" Melody asked curiously. "Oh you're British? That's cool." The stallion said with sudden interest in the young mare. Finally Snowflake noticed the odd stallion getting uncomfortably close Melody and exclaimed "Will you help or not?" She asked in a stern voice. "Yeah, I'll help... 50 bits." Gigglebox stepped forward, he was tired and aching and all he wanted was to get to his new home and rest. He would rest on the floor of the house if he had to but all he wanted was rest. "Here, take the bits and help us." Giggle through a small bag of bits to the hooves of the stallion. With gratitude the stallion picked it from the ground and began to help Giggle and the rest unload. After some long minutes of lifting and straining they finally made it to the newly built cabin. "Hey, you live here? You're the family who bought this place?" The stallion asked. "Yeah, had a friend who sold it to me for cheaper than it would be." Giggle replied proudly. "Nice. Well, I think you guys got it from here." The stallion started his way down the road but before he began flying away he turned to Melody once more. "And I'll be seeing you later sweet cheeks" Finally he left the small family to themselves once again. Sweet Cotton confronted Melody who stood there with a crimson face. "Hey, you alright dear?" "Yeah, yeah I'm fine. Stupid stallion thinks he can make me fall for him. Fall for his unkempt, sloppy... Self, his dark blue eyes, his scruffy mane poking out of that beanie." Sweet Cotton noticed her face getting more red and red as she went on and on about the stallion's features. "Okay, just hurry in the house before you catch a cold dear." Sweet said in her usual motherly tone. Melody turned around to see Snowflake suddenly next to her, eyebrow raised and a cheeky grin plastered all over her face. "Oh, piss off, Snow!" Melody said, agitated. All hell was going to break loose on her very soon. "Y'know, I think that was fate that he showed up. Just two souls... meant to be..." She teased, as Melody slowly grew more and more red. "And he seemed pretty interested in you, too, Mel. Should'a told him to stay 'round for a drink!" All the red was gone from Melody's body, and she was starting to turn burgundy. "Snow, you're not twelve anymore..." she muttered to herself, knowing full well that she would pay no attention. "But that's just like you, isn't it, Mel? Can't even be off a train five minutes before getting chatted up by a nice new stallion." She said, her smile threatening to crack her face, "You slut, Mel." She gave her a playful tap. "Snow, I don't know if you noticed, but there was nothing at all nice about him. He probably just wanted to do that thing where they sell foreign fillies into prostitution and get them addicted to drugs and kill them." Snowflake rolled her eyes. "You can't ignore fate!" "What, a fate of whoreiness?" She asked. "And you were the one telling me that that's not a real word earlier." Said Snowflake, "Anyway, back on topic. He seemed nice, Mel, he really did! And that beanie, too! You used to have a thing for beanies, I remember it very vividly!" All the red rushed back to Melody's face. "I was fifteen, Snow." "And you're not getting any younger either." Snowflake feigned shock, "Are those wrinkles before my eyes?!" "Look, the only reason you think he's so great is because he has some weird Brit fetish!" Yelled Melody accusingly. Snowflake put a hoof to her chest, pretending to be hurt. "Moi? I would never be so close minded and self centered. You should know that, Mel!" "Can we please just get in the house?" Groaned Gigglebox, looking very fed up, but mildly amused. "Huh, good idea." Said Snowflake, finally leaving Melody alone, "Right after I find him and bring him right back here you to take out on a hot date." She started walking back. "Don't you dare!" Yelled Melody, her voice squeaking. Snowflake turned around, finally letting all the laughter that she'd been repressing the entire time out. "You are so much fun to wind up!" She managed to choke out, heaving with laughter. "Oh, grow up, Snow." Melody said, annoyed. ~*~ As they entered their home, they were all surprised at the interior of the humble little home. They all separated into different parts of the home and inspected the new house. Gigglebox went upstairs to find three bedrooms; a master bathroom connecting to the master bedroom, the other two were guest rooms. The carpet in the rooms were white and fluffy. The bathroom was black and white tile, shiny and smooth. He went back to the center of the master bedroom and slumped on the ground. Willing to fall asleep right there and then. Melody and Snowflake went through the first floor of the home. They found a small bathroom near the kitchen. The kitchen also had black and white tile. Sweet Cotton went with them but went down another smaller hallway leading to a backyard area. It wasn't large like she was expecting this over sized home to have. But it was still a nice little escape to the outside, it was big enough to have a small garden and still would have enough room to have children play without disturbing the plants. It was this moment where Sweet Cotton realized that her little Giggle has grown to be a proud stallion, husband, and soon to be, father. Waiting"Just breath babe, just breath!" Today was finally the day, the day when Avian's child would be born. He was excited, but a bit nervous. He was still worried that this child would change everything. He already had to kick out his friend that's he's known for the majority of his childhood and longer. Blurry was being rushed to the maternity wing of the hospital with Avian at her side with several other doctors. When they finally got to the ward, Avain was offered to watch and be at Blurry's side during the birth. Of course he accepted, but when he saw first glance of the birth process, he nearly lost his lunch all over the doctors and floor. So know, he waited in the waiting room with nopony else to accompany him. Until he saw someone walk through the door who surprised Avian. "Wacky?" "Oh thank Celelstia, I found you!" Avian and Wacky quickly embarrassed each other in a friendly hug. "Dude, I'm sorry bro, I'm sorry I kicked you out Wacky." "No dude it's fine you do what you gotta do! I'm just here to see the little rug rat." "Blurry's not done yet, so you kinda got here early." "Alright, alright. Okay listen brother, I need a favor from you dude!" "If it's more drug money then get the hell outta-" "Nah bro! Dude, I'm going clean I'm done! I just need a place to stay for a while Avian!" "What! What about your house bro?" "Dude my house is being demolished, it's going to be replaced with some bank." A long silence fell over the two, Avian was stuck. He would let Wacky stay with him no problem, but with the new kid, and Wacky not good at keeping promises, Avian just didn't know. "I dunno bro, I mean, there's just so much going on and we all know about your... Problem" Avian whispered. "I know I know, but listen I'm being very legit dude, please just give me a chance! I'll watch the kid, I'll do everything I can to prove that I'm clean dude!" Before Avian could answer a nurse came out and called out for Avian. He left Wacky in the waiting room, the only thing that made Avian even more nervous was that Wacky was acting as if somepony was going to dash through the door and get him. He kept checking outside the door and only paced around the room. Avian entered the room Blurry was in, he saw her holding a small blue blanket with a little foal inside. "It's a colt." Blurry said in a quiet voice. Avian grabbed the child and gave him a quick look. His coat was a bright shade of purple, and had sandy blonde mane. Avian could only stare at his new colt. His trance was broken when he heard Blurry's voice again. "Can you tell me what he looks like?" Avian glanced at Blurry who laid her head to rest, closing her eyes. "He's, purple. He has blonde mane." "I don't know what purple is Avian." Blurry said jokingly. "Right, sorry. Uh, he's small, he has two little wings. He uh, his mane is fluffy and soft." Blurry only smiled at the description, even if it were very vague. "He has a small muzzle. He-" Avian was stopped mid sentence. He saw the little foal open it's eyes but very gracefully. Avian was able to see his child's eyes. They were bright blue, or one of them. The right eye had a light shade of white over the iris and pupil. Avian quickly learned that his child was going to be blind in one eye. "Are we still naming him Blind Spot?" Blurry asked. Avian glanced at her, with a sad but hopeful face. "We sure are babe, his name will be Blind Spot, son of the best flyers in this hospital!" ~*~ Two Weeks Later Gigglebox could feel something gently shaking him out of his slumber. He sighed, rolled over to face it, and pried open one eye. It was Snowflake, who seemed completely oblivious to his need to sleep. "Get up, I just need to unpack for this room and then I'm done." She said, ignoring his groans of protest. The meaning of those words suddenly hit him like a train. "You mean... you unpacked all of the furniture... by yourself?" He said. "Well, yeah," Snowflake said casually, "now get up, and you can help me with this one." "Snow!" He whined, grabbing her shoulders, "You should have just woken me up! I said, don't lift stuff! So you go right ahead and lift stuff!" Snowflake merely rolled her eyes. "Look, you go downstairs, and I'll unpack for you. Okay?" He said, a little exasperated. "I'm not made of glass, you know. I can yank a few crates up some stairs without shattering into a million pieces." She muttered. She couldn't stand being treated like some form of royalty. She was fully capable of doing things herself. Gigglebox looked at her apologetically, and wrapped his forelegs around her waist. "I know, sweetheart, but I just want what's best for all three of you. If that means basically renovating an entire house, so be it." "You want to know what I want?" She said, her glimmering, and a smile playing at her lips. "What?" He whispered, pulling her closer to him. "My independence back!" She yelled, her eyes suddenly narrowing into a glare as she broke away from his embrace. "C'mon, Snow, it's not that bad. Just wait a couple of months, and it'll be all back to normal, except that we're going to have a little two-in-one around." "Or, you could just stop being so overprotective and let me do something every once in a while!" She said, before suddenly clutching her lower abdomen. "Snow?" Gigglebox said worriedly, "Snow, is everything okay?" "Yep," she gasped, "Just fine. It's nothing." "Are you sure? Snow, that really didn't look like nothing." He fussed, getting annoyed sighs from Snowflake. "Everything is just fine! There's nothing wrong! I'm just-" she stopped herself, suddenly looking at the floor. "Snow? Snow, what's wrong? What-" Giggle's gaze suddenly fell upon the small puddle underneath Snowflake. "I'm in labor!" She finished simply. ~*~ Techie couldn't sleep. He'd tried everything, but sleep seemed preoccupied somewhere else. He knew exactly why he couldn't sleep. It didn't make the situation any more comforting, but he knew why: His and Ninroot's child was due this week. He had trouble sleeping all week, but today it was particularly bad. He just couldn't shake off the feeling that today was the day it would finally happen, when he would finally become a father. The day came and went. Still no foal. Both Techie and Ninroot were beginning to worry at this point. If the foal didn't come today, then it would be late. And one of the most common symptoms of mutation in batpony/pony breeding was late arrival. "What if she get teased for being so different?" Ninroot confided in him one night, when the clutches of insomnia had grabbed her, too. "She won't, Nin. And besides, there's nothing to say that they're half-and-half yet. Millions of foals are born late every day." "T-there's something I didn't tell you, Techie." Ninroot said quietly. "Yes, Nin?" Techie said apprehensively. "I-I actually knew it was going to be half-and-half for a while... I didn't tell you, because some ponies still have a prejudice against..." she didn't finish that sentence. "Mutations. " Techie finished for her. "Don't say that! I hate that word!" She shouted, covering her batpony ears. "Oh, I'm sorry, Nin, I-" "Techie?" She interrupted, "I think we're about to find out." ~*~ "What do I need to do?!" Gigglebox panicked, pacing the room, "I could- no, that's a dumb idea... Just stay there, Snow, I think my mom's a midwife!" "Giggle, calm down. We've got heaps of time yet. Just find a suitcase and start packing it." Gigglebox came back a few minutes later, hauling a suitcase behind him. "What'd 'ya need in it?" He gasped, tired from the excess weight of the suitcase. "Just grab some baby clothes, two blankets... just pretend you have common sense and pack accordingly." She joked. Gigglebox enjoyed it while he could. Knowing that his only angel could soon be making her way back to Heaven, he couldn't help but fuss over her. If there was anything he could do, or anything he could sacrifice, to decrease the possibility of her death, he would do it in a heartbeat. But he knew that all he could do was to stop that chance from increasing. "You might want to hurry up soon..." Said Snowflake, suddenly apprehensive. "I'm trying, Snow!" He said, on the verge of tears. "Look, fuck the suitcase, just get to hospital!" She said. She was scared, whether she was going to admit it or not. A gentle, comforting voice started calling from outside the bedroom. "Is everything okay in there?" The voice asked. Gigglebox tore open the door, and swung it back shut as he stepped out onto the hallway. "Is everything okay, sweetheart?" Asked Sweet Cotton again, a genuine look of concern in her eyes. "Mom, Snow's just gone into labor, this could honestly be the last time I see her again, and... and..." He sunk to the floor in tears, "I just don't want her to die!" Sweet Cotton sat down next to him, letting him openly sob on her for as long as he wanted. He eventually stopped, and looked up at his mother. "What would you do?" He simply asked, looking up at her with his blue eyes. "Well, for starters, I'd get her into hospital." She said, wrapping a hoof around him, "And then I'd just let nature take it's course. Everything happens for a reason, Giggle. Nothing ever happens because of luck." There was a silence for a few seconds, before Gigglebox finally whispered, "Thank you." He then went downstairs, and slipped back into the bedroom, to see something that made him almost scream. Snowflake, slumped on the floor, fully unconscious and not aware of anything. Sweet Cotton must have heard his sudden, sharp, suppressed sobs, because she burst into the room, calling him. She rushed next to him, and immediately started comforting him, making sweet, murmuring sounds as she stroked his mane in a way that only a seasoned, loving mother can accomplish. "She's still breathing, Giggle. She's still going." She whispered to him, letting him sob freely onto her, "The ambulance is coming, and she's still going. She's going to be fine, I promise." "But I wasn't there." He whispered, "I wasn't there when she needed me." ~*~ Techie simply pulled out the suitcase from the corner they'd been storing it in for the last month. Organisation was always his top priority. The ambulance had been called immediately, but each second seemed to pass like a year. The anticipation was almost unbearable. "Is anything happening yet, Nin?" Techie fussed once again. "Nothing since give seconds ago." She said, he foreleg wrapped protectively around her stomach. "Just breath, Nin, just breath." He said, in what was supposed to come out as soothing, but it ended up sounding more like a controlled panic attack. The ambulance finally arrived, and Techie and Ninroot piled into the back of it, Techie insisting on Ninroot laying down on the space provided. Techie had no idea of what to do at this point, all he could do was comfort his wife. ~*~ It took several minutes for Giggle, Melody, and Sweet Cotton to get Snowflake to the hospital. It would've taken longer if the medical chariot hadn't arrived. It took about ten minuets for Gigglebox, Snowflake, Melody, and Sweet Cotton to arrive to the hospital. They dashed through the hospital lobby with the doctors who had Snowflake on a gurney, the sight alone made Giggle want to tremble and weep. But he knew he had to be there for his wife. If he couldn't be there when she needed him, he was going to be there for his and her most important moment for their lives. It seemed like hours, but in reality it was only ten minutes. Gigglebox patiently waited in the waiting room. But as he waited, another stallion sat across from him. His face staring at only the floor, and nothing else. Trying to find some comfort, Gigglebox decided to mingle with this stallion. ~*~ Techie only sat in the wood chair. Waiting, wondering what the child would look like, and what the nurses, and doctors would think of it. He would still love and care for the child all the same, but he was just worried for it. Was it going to be teased because of its looks? Would it be shunned and cast out of every single click in school? Would it be teased? Would it never find a lover like Techie did? Will the child be able to live with its life knowing that it'll never be normal like the others? Many of these questions and more swarmed his already tired and stressed mind. These thoughts were interrupted by a Manehatten sounding voice. "Hey, hey mister?" Techie looked up to see a pale green Pegasus staring at him with eyes that tried to hide nervousness and fear. Techie hid the same when he replied, "Yeah?" "You, you uh... Waiting for your first?" Techie finding some comfort replied in a nervous happy tone, "Sure am." He added a little grin to reassure the stallion he was fine. "You too?" "Yeah... Yeah, I-I have." The stallion seemed very worried and distraught. "Twins" He mumbled. Techie was able to get a better look of the stallion. He was pale green, with dirty blonde mane, with a small beard beginning to grow. Techie rubbed his own muzzle noticing that he was do for a shave soon. The stallion was a Pegasus and his cutie mark were joke glasses on top of a clown nose. Absolute silence fell over them, it felt like centuries until finally the silence was broken by an overweight unicorn mare came in. "Can I get a... Techie Hoof?" Techie rose from his seat and looked at the nurse and nodded. She gestured him to follow her. After a few seconds, that left the stallion to himself. ~*~ Gigglebox was left alone once the Techie Hoof fella left. Since Sweet Cotton was in the bathroom and Melody was down in the lobby for whatever reason, this left Gigglebox alone to think. Think about the possibility of Snowflake passing on. What would he do? Sure he had his mother to help him, he couldn't count Melody since she's only here on vacation. But Sweet wouldn't be the same as Snowflake. Finally, another nurse entered the room. She was a bright violet with yellow mane. "Is there a Gigglebox?" She called out. "Yes ma'am, I'm Gigglebox." Giggle replied slowly raising a hoof in the air. Giggle could already tell the bad news was going to come, he could read the nurses face and it didn't say any good news. She gestured him to follow her and with that, he did. She lead him down a large white hallway, passing rooms and other doors. For a brief second, Giggle could have sworn that he saw that Techie guy from earlier in one of the rooms. He was lead to room number 13. His personal lucky number. He entered to see Snowflake peaceful but not awake and alive. The monitor still kept beeping, and he could see her breath every so often, but it was just terrible to his the once happy and loving mare he loved hooked up to some machine like an energy generator. "The birth was a success, we had to do a C-section however because she wasn't awake when we did the procedure." Giggle only stared at Snowflake. "Is, she going to be okay?" "Well, she's still alive. But she's in a coma, and it's quite rare for somepony to survive a twin birth and live to tell the story." Giggle stayed silent, not knowing what to say at this point. He only put a hoof on Snowflake's head and whispered. "Please stay Snow... You promised." Foals“Sir, do you want to-” “No.” “Sir, you've not even-” “I said no.” Gigglebox wasn't going to look at his children. Not until his wife could look at them with him. Because that's what they needed to be introduced to first: the warmth of a mother. The mare in question wasn't seeing anything right now. She was in a coma, the glimmer gone from her eyes, the smile gone from her lips, the life gone from her body. She wasn't Snowflake. Snowflake was somewhere else, most likely offended by this doppelganger. Gigglebox smiled to himself for the first time that day. Knowing Snowflake, she probably would be. If she was even capable of opening her eyes. “Sir,” The nurse spoke up. The ways she insisted on calling him ‘sir’ was really getting on his nerves. “You realize that the hospital is not capable of taking care of your children for anymore than three days.” “Then I'll use those three days! How do you expect me to take care of my children without a mother?” He snapped. He looked at his wife once again, once again wanting to burst into tears. He moved a lock of her mane, devoid of it's usual bounce and flow, out of her face, as even in lifelessness, it found a way to be everywhere at once. "Sir, don't do that, please." "What? Are you trying to tell me how to take care of my wife now?! You've known her for half a day. I've known her five years. It doesn't really compare, does it?" Said Gigglebox. His concern for his wife had made him unusually melancholic and moody. It wasn't like him, and he didn't want to yell at the nurse, but he couldn't help it. He looked back at Snowflake, it hurt him seeing her wired up like a generator. He began to whisper, "Snow, please wake up. I, I don't want to do this alone. I want our kids to know who you were Snow... What am I saying? I know you're going to wake up Snow, my angel is just resting in heaven is all. Yeah, that's it." He held onto her hoof and whispered some more. "But please don't be gone for long Snow, without you I'm turning into somepony else. I, I need you back here, with me; and the kids!" He paused to let out some quiet whimpers but continued. "B-But, if you want to stay there, if it's better than being here with me... Then I forgive your choice Snow, I forgive you. But if it's something I did, I'm sorry, and I hope you could forgive me... Then again, I don't think I need to worry Snow, because you'll forgive me for whatever I did no matter what right?" Silence. "Yeah, I knew you would." The nurses and doctors in the room all had tears of their own forming in their eyes. Some looked away, some plainly walked out the room, but some stayed to comfort this poor stallion, this poor husband, this poor father. ~*~ Meanwhile Techie was meeting with his wife and child. "Hey Nin! How was it?" Techie asked trying to look excited and also trying to hide his nervousness. "What do you think?" Ninroot replied playfully, getting a simple roll of the eyes from Techie. He approached her and laid a quick kiss on the forehead before the same nurse as before got his attention. "Sir, would you like to see your foal?" Techie glanced at Ninroot looking more nervous now, but Ninroot assured him with a small warm smile and said, "We'd love to" The nurse hurried out the door and faster than a flash she came back with a small bundle with a pink blanket wrapped around it. "It's a filly!" She announced, but instead of looking confused and scared like Techie assumed she would, instead she looked joyful and happy. She carefully gave Ninroot the small child. Techie leaned over to get a better view. And from what he saw, all his theories, his fears, his worries, were put to rest. To him, she looked beautiful. She had a lock of black mane but with one large stripe of orange splitting it down the middle, she had two little fangs poking out of her little muzzle, she was a mix or green and beige making a kinda dull shade to her coat. But what made the site even cuter was she had little bat wings sprouting out of little holes of the blanket. Techie wished he could see her eyes, wanting to see which eyes she would get. He slowly grabbed the foal from Ninroot and held it close to him. "What should we name her?" He asked, Ninroot gave another warm smile. "I think you should name her Techie." "But-" "Listen, I'm on way too many pain killers to be thinking about names right now. So I think the father should name her." She said with the same warm smile. "Okay...Hmm..." Techie thought and thought, until finally he thought of a name, it wasn't a clever one but it would do. "How about Digitail? Yeah, Digitail Hoof." He held her closer to his muzzle by both holding and levitating her with his horn. He then whispered, in a deep voice as he looked up to the ceiling. "You guys are grandparents now." ~*~ It was now turning 7:00 PM, and Sweet Cotton and Melody were beginning to become tired and bored. So finally Sweet Cotton went to Gigglebox to try to get him to go home. "Darling, Melody and I are getting tired, can you please come home with us?" "I'm sorry Ma, but I can't do that. I have to be here when Snowflake wakes up. I want to be the first thing she sees when she wakes up." Only silence accompanied the two, they couldn't say a thing to each other but only stare at the peaceful sleeping body of Snowflake. "Alright baby, you can stay here. I'll see you tomorrow." With a small and quick hug and kiss, Sweet left with Melody. As they exited the main doors, Sweet and Melody began their way down the road to the house. They finally arrived, tired and sleepy. Melody slumped down on the couch and Sweet went up stairs, it didn't take long until Melody could hear snoring from upstairs. It didn't take long for her to fall into slumber. Sadly, the bliss of sleep didn't stay for long, Melody woke up to the sound of knocking. Slowly she got up from the couch and opened the door. It was Gigglebox, looking tired and depressed as ever. He practically fell on Melody. He was practically sleeping, but there still was a hint of life in his eyes. She dragged him to the couch and laid him on the cushions. "Poor thing." She whispered to herself, she could hear small whimpers come from the poor stallion. Almost knowing what he was thinking she said, "I know, I'm worried for her too." She sat next to him, she felt as if she had a younger brother since he was about a month younger than herself. She gently patted his head and whispered, "Don't worry, she'll be fine. She'll...Be...Fine..." And like that, Melody fell asleep. ~*~ The next morning was very fuzzy for Gigglebox, he woke up with Melody's hoof on his face. He did find it quite awkward however, him and Melody never really socialized. He slowly and carefully moved her hoof away from his head, and slipped out the front door. There he found a small envelope on the ground. He picked it up from the ground and opened it. It read, Dear Gigglebox, when you read this you must report to the hospital as soon as possible. Sincerely Dr. Whole heart He put the letter back in the envelope and through it back on the ground. He then quickly took off flying towards the hospital. ~*~ Gigglebox sighed as he swung open the door to his wife's room. He was unshaven and tired, after yet another cold, sleepless night, accompanied only by the lack of a warm, loving pony next to him. He was greeted by the still, lifeless body of Snowflake once again, and funnily enough, a midwife. The midwife would normally be at her desk, doing paperwork, or doing other sorts of work, but this time, she was actually sat at her desk, her eyes locked on the door, waiting for his arrival. "Ah, I've been waiting for you, sir." She said, her voice oddly grim. whatever was going to come next was not going to be good. She pulled out a chair of him to sit on, and looked directly at him. She had what Snowflake would call, her 'news-baring face' on, and it was the most grim thing Gigglebox had ever seen in his life. "Sir, I'm not sure if you're aware, but the hospital does have to follow a policy with twin births, especially when things such as comas unfortunately befall the mother." She sounded as though she were reading aloud, like she'd compulsively thrown herself into learning it word for word. "I'm very sorry, Sir, but your wife... she... we can't keep her in this world much longer." Gigglebox felt as though the entire world had come crashing down on him, debris tumbling around him, crushing him and everything around him. "B-but she's still alive?" He choked, suppressing tears that threatened to break the invisible barrier holding them back. "Yes, but the chances of her are so slim to nonexistent that..." The rest of the words were drowned out. Gigglebox couldn't believe what he was hearing. "So you gave up on her?" He said hoarsely, tears beginning to spill. "Not exactly like that, sir-" "Yes you did. You gave up on her. You think she's a lost cause. Well, I've got news for you, lady. She's not." A tear splashed onto the floor, "Anypony who's spent even a minute with her will know that she won't ever give up. She's fighting, even if you can't see it. She's survived bombs with barely even a scratch. The birth of two ponies isn't going to weaken her in any way." He was openly sobbing now. "She's all that's kept me alive these past five years. Her, and nothing more." he stopped crying, anger taking over his mind. "And do you want to know the sick thing about this? That one day, those kids will ask me where their mom is. And I won't be able to lie to them. I'll have to tell them that the very mare that helped bring them into the world killed their mother. And it gets worse. Much worse. After that, they won't believe in happy endings. Do you want to know how I know? Because that's how I feel right now." "Sir, I don't really have a say in the matter-" "So, thanks for the offer, but no. She's still fighting, and she won't ever stop." He raised from his chair, and walked over to his usual place by the hospital bed, by his wife. He put a hoof to her cheek, gently stroking it in his usual, loving manner. "You're still there, Snow, aren't you? Why don't you show me? Please, Snow... just anything. I'm not asking for any grand gestures, just a little reassurance." "Well, that's a good job, because I really don't think I have the energy to do anything too grand." It was tired, it was hoarse, but it was still hers. It still had every ounce of familiarity to it, and it still stood out against the conflicting accents in the room. "Oh, thank God.. Snow, just.. Thank God..." He muttered, tears rolling down his cheeks. "My sentiments exactly." Replied Snowflake. It was such a Snowflake thing to say that he couldn't help giggle a little. "Now, look, I didn't spend days in a frigging coma to not even see my kids when I woke up." She said. It was almost as though she'd never been gone. "I haven't even seen them myself yet." Said Gigglebox, moving a lock of Snowflakes mane out of her tired eyes. They suddenly widened with a jolt. "What?" She gasped, her eyes filling with tears, "No...no, no, no... God, no... Why did you do that? Those poor kids have been all on their own for days, not knowing love. That's the first thing they need to know. As soon as you can, you hold them in your hooves, and you don't ever want to let go. They don't know love." The midwife came in then, carrying two tiny bundles, one wrapped in a pale rose, the other one in sky blue. Their eyes were still shut, unwilling to open two months before deemed necessary by tiny minds. Gigglebox was handed the rose bundle, a strange feeling swelling up in his chest. Snowflake was right, he didn't ever want to remove himself from this tiny foal that he could finally call his own. She was a very pale blue, almost gray, with an equally light blonde mane, tiny wings sprouting from her back. This was the first time Gigglebox had ever felt love for something that was truly his own. “She’s so small.” Giggle said with a whisper. Snowflake didn't notice the size until Giggle mentioned it. She inspected the small bundle she had. It was also very small, or smaller than a usual foal should be. This foal that she held was a colt, with the same fur color as the filly Gigglebox held. He too had little wings sprouting from his back, his mane was pale blue, with little blonde streaks running through it. "What do you think we should name them?" Snowflake said gently. Gigglebox looked at his new daughter and thought for a second. Until he thought of a bright idea. "Bright Idea." "What?" Snowflake asked curiously. "I don't have an idea what to call her, so I'll call her Bright Idea!" He held her closer to his chest. Snowflake only chuckled at the name Gigglebox gave the little foal. "HM, I believe that's your best joke yet Giggle." She said with little chuckles mixed in with her words. "Well, that's one down. It would be only fair if you named the colt." Giggle replied. "Okay..." Snowflake looked down at her son, and said with confidence, "Sunny Dayz" Giggle looked at Snowflake confused. "Why the Z at the end? Isn't days spelled D, A, Y, S? And don't say that's how Brits spell it because I've seen you write down the word Days spelled like D, A, Y, S." "Believe me I've met many Sunny Days before, it's a very common name. I want this one to be more, unique." Snowflake replied. Getting a slight nod of agreement from Gigglebox, surely he's met a Sunny Day or two in his time. ~*~ Meanwhile Melody was sat on the hard, uncomfortable plastic chairs, silently cursing at Gigglebox for clogging up her sister’s visitor allowance. She knew he was a father and all, but he’d been doing practically nothing but watching Snowflake sleep for the past day. He could live with tearing himself away from her for five minutes so that she could drop in, say hi, give her a coffee and leave. But no. Another pony, a beige colored Pegasus, flopped into the chair next to her. He looked familiar, but she couldn't think where she could possibly know him from. ‘Maybe he’s some sort of actor?’ She thought, glancing up to get a proper look at him. ‘Or a model...’ “Told ‘ya I’d see you soon, didn't I, toots?” ‘Oh, shit.’ She knew she’d seen him somewhere. He was the exact same, beanie-sporting stallion that’d helped them haul their furniture to Snowflake’s and Giggle’s new house. “Shut up.” She said, barely even thinking before the words left her lips. “I've got to be honest, though, I didn't think you’d be this eager to see me again, Beautiful.” He said, stretching his hooves. “Look, you could at least have the decorum to introduce yourself before you start chatting up a mare.” She said, rolling her eyes, “And I don’t think I got your name.” “You got a point, love.” He answered, extending a hoof, “Wacky, sweetheart. Wacky Tabacky.” Melody gingerly shook the hoof. “Well, it’s nice to meet you, Mr. Tabacky.” She said, putting particular emphasis on her new title for him. “Aw, C’mon…” He said, a slight whine to his voice. “Oh, so you want to hear some of the other things I could call you? Well, let’s get a move on. We've got b-” “Yeah, I’ll stop you there.” He said, putting a hoof to her mouth, “I didn't quite catch your name.” “Melody.” She grunted. “Huh, nice name.” He complimented her. They sat in silence for a few more minutes, before Wacky broke it once again. “You owe me, y’know.” Melody almost fell off her chair. “No, I don’t! That’s my sister, and if you’d tried even half of the things on her you have on me, you’d be a dead stallion, on her husband’s account only.” She rushed, tripping over her words. "Nope, no getting out of it, gorgeous." He said a cocky grin on his face, "I know for a fact that you were going to end up lugging all that shit to wherever it is that you wanted it, so, I'd be very grateful if you'd come and grab a coffee with me tomorrow." Melody scowled at the ground for a while, before muttering, "What time?" "There, ya see? That wasn't so hard." He said, making Melody want to shove her hoof into his face. He got up to leave, but as he got to the doorway, he said, "How's quarter to three for you, at Starbucks?" "Fine, thanks." He finally left, leaving Melody to herself again. She flopped back into her chair, breathing a long sigh. 'You, Melody, are a very lucky pony.' A Date Over CoffeeWacky woke up early in the morning. Not very usual of him though, almost rare. But today he had to get rid of some things that tempt him to get back to his drug addiction. He had a little stash hidden from Avian where he could never find it. Wacky went the left side of the bed, he moved a dresser that sat next to the bed. He moved it to the side revealing a small tare in the wallpaper, he pealed it back to reveal a little hole in the wall. It had a small glass pipe, three plastic bags of weed and cocaine. A drug he never tried, he only sold it to his customers. And a small box, he pulled it out and found three bags, each full of bits. Last time he counted, he had over 2,000 bits in drug money. He gathered all of the drugs and the pipe in his hooves and quietly left the house. He ran to the small waterhole near the edge of town. He put all of the drugs and pipe in another small box. He held it over his head and threw it inside the water. Making sure it wouldn't float to the top of the water, he tide a somewhat heavy rock to the box. He then flew off as quick as he could, hoping that nopony saw him get rid of the illegal drugs. The only thing he kept, was the large amount of money he had, he had hid the three bags in the hole he hid his drugs in. Waiting for the right moment to spend that money. All he had to do now was go back to sleep and hope that nopony saw him dump the drugs and his old life into the water. He got back under his covers, but he couldn't help but smell the strong scent of his own love juice. 'Damn, I need some air freshener or something.' He thought to himself, so he quickly got out of the bed and lit some incense his old suppler from Saddle Arabia gave him. It smelt like Ebony Mishmash, a sweet blend with a hint of orange. He was just getting sleepy, his eyelids getting heavy the smell of his incense filling and calming his head. He finally fell into slumber. But was abruptly woken up by the cries of the young foal Blind Spot. "Damn. So close!" ~<***>~ Melody sighed as she cracked open her heavy eyelids once again. She could hear a loud moan of frustration coming from Snowflake's and Gigglebox's bedroom, the same location as the loud, incessant cry of a young foal. Another cry, just as loud, erupted from the room, as the crying of one foal awoke the other. "I am never having kids." She groaned, rolling over to face the wall. She glanced over at the alarm clock, placed on the shelf at the end of the bed. It read 03:48. 'Maybe I can cover up the circles under my eyes with a little foundation?' She thought to herself, rubbing the underneath of her eyes as she glanced in the mirror. She eased herself out of bed, and walked out into the hallway, towards the master bedroom. She opened the door, and poked her head around it. "Do you want any help?" A blur of green suddenly ran past her, saying, "Oh, sweet mother of Faust, thank you!" Melody smiled a little to herself, and walked towards a crib that held a tiny, whimpering bundle. She gingerly picked it up, suddenly unsure of what to do. The colt that she held looked as though if she handled it too roughly, he'd snap in half. "He's going to go and drown himself in caffeine now, you know." Said the voice of her younger sister. "Poor bloke looks like he could use it, to be honest." Replied Melody, looking awkwardly down at the screaming bundle of 'joy' in her hooves. "So, when are you going on your date?" Asked Snowflake, the same mischievous grin on her face. "It's not a date." Replied Melody huffily, "Just a little get-together" "Oh, come on!" Said Snowflake, "It's obvious that you like him!" "Fine; I like him. Happy?" Asked Melody, somewhat mockingly. "Very." Said Snowflake, restraining her laughter. ~*~ Melody sat at the table in the small coffee shop, sighing and looking at the clock every so often. She'd been sat waiting for twenty minutes, now. Admittedly, she had arrived five minutes early, but that didn't excuse the fact that Wacky was fifteen minutes late. The stallion in question entered the coffee shop, and pulled up the chair opposite Melody. He looked a little tired, and as though he'd been running, but otherwise okay. "You better have a damn good reason that you're so late, or else I'm walking right out of here." She said, but not angrily. More in a joking way. "I will have you know that I was the victim of an extremely nonexistent sleeping pattern last night, then I had to do some… Spring Cleaning" He said, flicking some of his blonde, floppy hair out of his face, "And besides, there is such a thing as fashionably late, isn't there?" "Yeah, and then there's plain late." Replied Melody, rolling her eyes. "You see, this is why I like you," said Wacky, "You act like you hate me, even though we both know, and probably the waitress, too, that you like me just as much as I like you." A tint of rose made its way to Melody's cheeks. He had her nailed, and they'd barely even had a civil conversation. "So, Melody. Are you just Melody, or is there something else you'd prefer to be called?" He asked. The way her name sounded in his voice sent shivers down her spine. "I'm just plain old Melody." She said, taking a sip from her previously ordered coffee. "Well, let me do something about that." He said, "How's Mel for 'ya? Or are you still 'plain old Melody'?" He said, in a terrible British accent. "You can call me Mel if you really feel that you must." She said. "Well, that's okay, then, because I really wanna call you Mel. It sounds cute." He said, earning another blush off of Melody, "Not unlike a certain mare I know. Particularly when she blushes." ~*~ The two talked for a couple of hours in the small coffee shop, gradually learning more and more about each other. "I guess I'd better go." said Melody, draining her cup, "Home calls, y'know?" "Well, at least let me walk you home." Said Wacky, "What sort of pony would I be if I let a mare as pretty as you walk home on her own?" After an hour or so of walking, Wacky suddenly stopped. "That's my house, right there." He said, pointing. "It's pretty swanky." Commented Melody with a slight nod. Wacky hesitated for a fraction of a second before asking, "D'ya wanna stay around for a bit?" "Oh, that's fine I don't want to intrude." Melody replied not trying to sound eager to visit his home. "Oh I don't mind Mel, besides it's getting close to sundown. I don't want you walking home alone at night. Could get mugged or somethin' you know?" Melody thought about his offer, it did sound tempting and it was getting late. So she simply nodded her head and followed Wacky to his home. Wacky couldn't help but blush himself. When Wacky and Melody got to the house, Wacky checked inside the window. Looking like he was making sure it was empty. Melody wondered why Wacky looked so paranoid, but a quick glance at towards her seemed to calm him down. He pulled out some keys from under his wing and unlocked the door. The interior of the house was nice, clean, and neat. "So, you live here by yourself?" Melody asked, still observing the interior of the home. "Well, no. I live with a friend and his wife. See, my actual house is being demolished, so I have to crash here in my old room for now. But if you ask me, I think it's a pretty good deal! All I have to do his pay my half of the bills and take care of the little rugrat my friend and his wife had. Speaking of, where the hell are they?" He went through the rooms leaving Melody to herself to register the information she was just given. But before she could fully reflect on her thoughts Wacky returned with two cans of beer in his hooves. "Why are you doing, just standing there? Take a seat." He said casually as he slumped down on the couch. "You wanna beer?" "No, thank you, I don't drink." Melody replied. A shocked and confused expression grew on Wacky's face. "What? C'mon, it's good; here, give it a sip." Wacky said as he swung the open can to Melody's face. "No!" "Please?" "I said no, Wacky!" She playfully insisted. "Look, just one sip!" Wacky said now trying to lean towards her to get the can closer to her muzzle. "I said no! NO!" She shoved Wacky away from her, sending him to the floor, but his hoof was able to grab onto her leg before he hit the ground making Melody fall on top of him. They laid there with the spilled alcoholic beverage on the carpet. "I-I'm sorry, I'll get up." Wacky said bashfully, starting to get up but was stopped by a pair of hooves that pinned his shoulders down. He looked back at Melody, who was already a half inch away from their muzzles meeting. Her warm breath tickled and teased Wacky's muzzle. Wanting more of Melody, he made the first move on her. The distance between them closed as Wacky gently kissed the mare. Melody was surprised at the approach that Wacky took, she was even more surprised that she didn't make the first move; it was always her who made the first move on other stallions she'd dated before. Wacky slowly slipped his tongue between his and Melody's lips, causing her to gently moan at the act. She surprised herself by actually departing her lips to let Wacky's tongue free to roam the inside of her mouth. Finally finding her tongue, Wacky played with her tongue with his, making her giggle inside his mouth. But Melody was almost saddened when she felt Wacky's lips depart, but then he started to kiss her neck and and gently nipped at it, electing a small yelp from Melody, feeling the sudden pain run through her. But it felt amazing. Wacky gently nuzzled her neck and began a small journey down her neck, getting to her chest. Melody was able to make words from her moans and gasps to ask, "You've done this before?" Wacky paused to reply, "First time, toots." His face was deviant and was bright with a devilish grin of lust on his muzzle. He continued his love spree on her chest moving to her belly. As he laid gentle kisses, she began to giggle. "Ticklish, huh?" Wacky said with a smirk. "Maybe." Melody answered. He stared at her for a few seconds, almost dying from how adorable she was. She was blushing but had a small grin on her face and had one ear flopped down. As he went back to his love mission, he felt something odd on his chest and lower neck area. It was wet, it couldn't have been the beer since it was a few inches from Melody's head. His sudden realization slapped him in the face as he gained a look of shock but was brought to the same devilish grin. "So it's gonna be like that, is it?" ~*~ Avian and Blurry entered the living room with Blind Spot in a little carriage. Blurry could smell something odd, though, but she couldn't tell what. "Babe, do you smell that?" "Did Blind take a crap again?" Avian asked leaning closer to Blind getting some whiffs of the foal. "No, no, it smells like... Oh, dearest Celestia, no!" Blurry exclaimed, she quickly but cautiously felt her way to what was Wacky's room. She slowly opened the door with Avian right behind her. "Babe, tell me what it is." Blurry said, still worried of what the smell was. Avian was too shocked to speak. He saw Wacky and a mare he'd never seen before latched onto him with her hooves wrapped around his chest. The mare's head rested on the beige fur of Wacky, and Wacky was sleeping with a grin plastered on his face. "Babe?" Avian whispered. "Yes?" Blurry replied, worried of what he might say. Not being able to put his thoughts into words, Avian said three simple words. "Wacky got some." First NightsGigglebox lay in bed with his wife. His wife, who he now had no need to worry over. But he did anyway. She had her head resting on his chest, and her foreleg wrapped around his body. But he was too lost in thought to appreciate the moment. "Something's wrong." She spoke up. He looked down into her pale blue eyes, and wrapped his wing around her pure white body. "Don't worry about it, Snow. It's nothing serious, I promise." Snowflake scoffed. "I'm your wife, Giggle. It's in the job description." "It's just..." he suddenly look dejected, "I never really had a proper dad, Snow! I have no idea what I'm doing! I don't have anyone to look up to, or anyone to be there, or..." He trailed off, tears pouring down his cheeks. Snowflake gently wrapped her forelegs around Gigglebox's trembling body, and stroked his mane, hoping to comfort or calm him down in some way. "That's not true." She said softly, "You know how not to make the biggest mistakes of your life. We're going to make mistakes, Giggle; everyone does. But you know how to love, and you know how not to make the irreversible mistakes. You have everything you need." Gigglebox calmed down a little. He gave Snowflake a gentle kiss on her cheek. His eyes were still a little moist, but he wasn't crying. However, a foal in a moses basket was. Gigglebox was over to the basket in seconds. He wrapped his hooves around the tiny, whimpering body of his son, and lifted him close to his chest. The whimpering quietened, before ceasing completely, and was replaced by the gentle breathing of his son as he slept. Giggle held his child, still amazed that he was a father. Even though this kind of thing can happen to any stallion, he thought that his family would be different to other families. He believed that Snowflake was and is a good mother, and he believed that he would be a good father. Overload’s words rang in his ears as he thought of him being a father to two little foals. But then he remembered how his father was. He always feared his father; the only time he didn't was when his father was passed out, drunk. He thought of how his children would think of him being a father. But the one thing that made him shudder was if he’d turn out like his father; abusive, demeaning, violent, and always angry. Gigglebox was worried he would turn into that, he would turn into that… Monster. He stared at Sunny, who was still sound asleep. He was about to start crying but then he thought to himself, 'No! No, I'm going to be better than him! I promise Sunny. I promise Bright! I will be better!' Finally, feeling better about himself, he put Sunny in his little basket and crawled into bed with Snowflake, who was asleep at this point. 'She's always falling asleep on me.' He thought to himself, quietly chuckling aloud. He got under the covers getting washed over by the warmth and cuddled next to Snowflake. He knew she was awake again when she pulled him closer to her chest. Finally, Giggle and Snow were finally able to go back to sleep and stay asleep. ~***~ Meanwhile, Techie and Ninroot were having little problems with their new foal. It’s nearly been a week and Digitail hasn't caused them any trouble. Sure she did cry, whine, and whimper at times but other than that she was a quiet peaceful infant. And Ninroot and Techie couldn't have it any other way. Techie awoke to the sound of gentle crying from his new daughter's room. Not wanting Ninroot to wake up and tend to Digie for the 3rd time, he got up himself to comfort his new foal. Since her room was right across from theirs it didn't take long for him to get their. He slowly slid his hooves under the small batpony and began to cuddle it. Little whimpers escaped the foals mouth as it began to calm down. He couldn't stop staring at her, he still couldn't believe that he was a father. He always knew that one day he would become a husband, it was a must. But he never thought that one day, he would become a father. Never in his entire lifetime had it cross his mind. Since he always hated young children and always got a bad perception of young children. Always crying, whining, taking up all your time, and doing so much more. But all those speculations and thoughts were wrong, he enjoyed his daughter. He wasn't annoyed by her, he was hardly angry at her, and he always loved the attention he gave her. After gently rocking Digitail in his hooves she quickly fell back asleep. Little snores could be heard from the small foal. Techie slowly lowered Digie into the small cradle and quietly slipped out the room. Once he got to his bedroom, Ninroot was still sleeping; she looked as peaceful as ever. Techie gently levitated the covers with his horn to get in. He went stiff when he saw Nin shift in her sleep turning to face him. Still asleep and peaceful as ever. Finally Techie got under the covers, feeling the warmth already engulf him as he slowly went back to sleep. But as he began to enter the world of slumber he felt Nin's bat-like wings wrap over him. ~***~ While the other two families were deep in slumber and just finished tending to their foals, Avian and Blurry didn't have much problems either. However while Blurry and Avian slept soundly, Blind Spot began to whimper and pout. In the room down the hall Melody and Wacky still slept, then Mel began to stir in her sleep until she was only half awake. "Hmm, why can't that kid just sleep for more than 2 hours!?" She grunted she turned to her side to expect nothing but pillows and cushions to be there since she believed she was back at her house, but instead found a mound of fur that slowly moved up and down with breathing. Her eyes wen wide as jumped back so far she fell off the bed waking Wacky from his sleeping state. He looks over to Mel's side to see her frantically looking around the room to get an idea of where she is. "Mel, Mel! Calm down! It's okay!" Wacky said trying to reassure his lover. He rolled off the bed and began to comfort the panicking pegasus. "Wha, what? Wacky? Where am I?" She asked Wacky couldn't help but chuckle at her reaction and her frantic movements, coughing a bit he then explained to her where she was and what they did earlier. By the end of his explanation, her eyes were as wide as saucers and she stared blankly at the wall. "You alright Mel? It wasn't that bad was it? I mean, it's been a while since I had my last session. Besides it's not like it was your first time right?" She only stared blankly even more. "Right?" Wacky began to feel more awkward so he just ceased talking. After what seemed like a million years, he finally spoke up. "I'm sorry Mel, it was just in the heat of the moment. I shouldn't have forced you into doing something like this. I realize that maybe I should have taken it slow with you. if you want, you can go and break up with me." Wacky lowered his head in shame and sadness but he never cried. Not once, he was on the verge many times before but he would never let himself cry. Suddenly, during his self loathing, he felt a gentle hoof lift his chin. He opened his eyes to see Mel's staring right back at his. "Don't be sorry Wacky, given it was my first time. I still enjoyed it. Yes, our simple date did escalate to sex pretty quickly but, I still enjoyed it... And I still love you." She then gently planted a long passionate kiss on Wacky's lips. As she parted, he began to cough. A lot. So much so that he had to lay back down. "Wacky, are you alright?" Melody asked sounding slightly worried. "Yeah, *cough* I'm fine. To be honest this happens much more often, I'm surprised it didn't effect me as much today." "What do you mean, didn't effect you as much? You aren't sick are you?" Wacky paused. "No, no it's fine Mel. C'mere." Wacky said opening his hoofs and wings. The sad part was however, he lied to Melody. In fact he was sick, very sick. It was 3 years ago that he was diagnosed with lung cancer. That's why he sold his drugs. He sold them because he needed the money, that's why he saved money. But the one thing he didn't do was tell somepony else. He never liked the feeling of ponies worrying over him. Ponies always trying to help him, but he was an independent stallion and he would hate it if Avian and Blurry stopped everything just to focus on him. But now that Melody asked him if he was OK, then maybe it was time for him to reconsider. But the treatment was so expensive, he only had a small percent saved up. Last time he checked it costed 2,700 bits for a lung replacement. The last time he counted he had 2,500 bits saved. he only needed 300 bits more to pay for his treatment, the extra hundred for any other costs. But the main question was, how was he going to get 300 bits? He threw out his entire drug stock and he swore never to do drugs again. But then he remembered somepony very important. A stallion by the name of Sweet Tooth. He was a drug lord and a pimp in Manehatten, he sent his drugs to Wacky for his Ponyville branch, all he needed to do was order another shipment, sell it and get the 300 bits he needed. Since he sold cocaine and crystal meth, he would get way more than he needed. So in the morning he would send a private message to Sweet Tooth. Hoping he could get what he needed. ~***~ The next morning, Wacky was more than eager to get up. If he could. When he awoke he found Melody still bundled in his embrace. As much as he needed to, he didn't get up. he was just feeling so great at this point. Her warm fur against his, her soft feathers brushing up against his chest, and her periodic flick of the tail could make anypony fall back asleep. Wacky was pretty close too falling into the bliss of slumber, but he remembered how long it would take for a response from Sweet and he needed to send the letter pronto! So he gently pushed Mel out of his wing's grasp. he slowly slid out of bed and went to his desk. He pulled out a paper and quill and began to write. Dear Sweet Tooth, I need the next shipment as soon as possible! My customers are getting impatient and annoyed, I need the drugs ASAP! ~Wacky Tabaccy As soon as he finished up his letter he put it in a small envelope, put a stamp and everything on it and he quickly rushed out of the house and flew towards the post office. He dropped the letter in the mailbox and quickly flew back home. Once again, his cough bugging him as he flew. he kept coughing until he saw something that he never thought he would see ever. He coughed into his hoof and quickly glanced at his hoof that strangely had a red coat over it. He looked back at it to discover blood on his hoof. He was finally coughing up blood! He took this as a warning and began to slow down his flight. He gently floated back to his house, hating the fact that he was kept from flying faster by his illness. He gently opened the door to find a quiet, still dark house. He sneaked his way to his bedroom. Relieved to see Melody still sleeping on his bed he slowly slid back under the covers and got comfortable. As he was about to fall back asleep he heard Blind Spot start to whine and cry. 'Why is that kid always waking up when I get back from doing something!?' Response Or, Morning ChoresWacky awoke to the sunlight streaming through the bedroom window. Purely out of habit, he dragged himself out of bed and sleepily walked outside towards the mailbox. He’d tried to make a habit out of it ever since he sent his plea for more work from his boss. When he reached his mailbox, his excitement was barely contained when he found a lone box in his mailbox. He could tell it was from Sweet Tooth, since he always tied a dark violet bow on the box when he sent the product to his workers. Without thinking, Wacky grabbed the box and rushed back into the home. Being careful not to wake Avian, Blurry and the other occupants of the home. He slithered into his room, and plopped the small box on the bed. He eagerly grabbed a knife and cut into the box. His anger and disappointment completely overshadowed his eagerness and happiness. A single envelope was inside the box. Wacky out of complete anger flung the box at the wall. The envelope falling to the floor. He sat down on his bed and put his head in his hooves. 'Why? Why would he do this? I'm one of his best workers! He can't play me like that!' Wacky thought to himself. Out of complete curiousity he picked up the letter from the ground and opened it. It was hard to read, on account of the tears in his eyes. He opened the letter to find a scroll stating, "Dear Wacky Tabacky, I, Sweet Tooth have heard your plea and my babe's and I believe that there is more to this. When I received and read this I sent one of my workers to Ponyville to do a little snooping. Are you aware of the stallion by the name of Caramel? He's been doing a little snooping on you and he came back telling me that you quit the drug business, and that it looked like you wanted to start a new. Mr. Tabacky, I, Sweet Tooth will have mercy for my best money maker and I'll just send you money for your little operation. Don't ask how I know Wacky. Let's just say, all Sweet Tooth's customers tell the truth." Wacky's hooves trembled and dropped the paper. 'How did he know?' Was all the Wacky could think of. He put the letter down and saw a glimpse of another piece of paper in the envelope. So hidden from view, that he could have thrown it away and not think twice. He pulled it out to find a small check with 300 bits written on the check. The exact amount of money he needed to get the operation. Because, maybe- just maybe- he actually stood a chance of getting to buy himself a few more years now. ~*~ Snowflake wrenched open her eyes as the familiar, foalish whine reached her ears once more. She sighed and summoned all the willpower in her body as she to get out of bed. She’d never been a morning pony to begin with, and the addition of being awoken at all hours of the night didn't exactly increase her desire to get up in the morning. She felt her husband get up just after her, expressing just as much want to get up as she had. In her half asleep state, she absentmindedly walked towards the closest crib to her. She picked up the foal it held, which turned out to be her month-old daughter, Bright Idea. She gently held her to her chest, feeling her wings unfold. They had fluffed up considerably as every foal’s did, making them much softer than they ever would be as she aged. She began to calm down against her mother’s chest. Gigglebox however, was having more trouble trying to calm down Sunny. He did make progress however, from loud cries and whines turned to little whimpers before after much comfort and parental skills Sunny finally became calm and was lulled back to sleep. "Go back to bed, Snow." Her husband said gently, but still making her jump, "You need it." She wanted nothing more than to say yes. She had been exhausted for the past month. Taking care of twin foals was hard enough on its own, even more so when premature. But she refused. "No, I'm fine, honestly. I've already gotten up, you know I'm not going to go to sleep again." Said said, taking Bright back out of Giggle's hooves. Before he could object, she'd already started making her way down the stairs. ~*~ Ninroot woke up to the soft, infant cries of Digitail from the other side of the room. She was always relatively surprised at how quiet she was, she'd always expected her to be a lot louder. She gently eased herself out of bed to tend to the month old foal. She made her way over to Digitail's crib to tend to the crying foal. She cuddled her close to her chest, feeling her begin to calm down. The foal started making tiny cooing noises, evidently not planning on going to sleep any time soon. Ninroot stole a glance toward the clock, trying to decide whether it was worth getting up, or if she should put Digi back in her crib to settle. It was, according to the clock, 07:30, a reasonably good time to be woken up by foals. She slowly opened up the curtains, letting the light stream in through the window, and earning a frustrated groan from Techie, who at this point, was still in bed and unwilling to leave it. She did feel a little bad, but in her eyes, if she had to be awake, so did he. She took Digi downstairs so that she could make herself some breakfast. ~*~ "Do you want anything for breakfast?" Giggle asked, trying to ignore the crying foals in the living room, demanding to be fed right now, this very minute. "Yeah, just some toast or something..." Snowflake replied, finishing making the two bottles, "Jesus Christ, I'm coming!" She walked into the living room, quickly greeted by the crying of the two foals. She scooped up her son, supporting his tiny head as he drank from the bottle, desperate to stop the incessant screaming as soon as possible. “Giggle?” She called from the living room, “Can you please feed Bright?” She heard an indistinct mumble from Giggle, who was still presumably half-asleep, before he walked into the living room, bottle in hoof, and soon enough, Bright in the other. Soon, all that could be heard was the quiet suckling of the twins. “Thank God for that…” Giggle muttered to himself, relieved to finally hear nothing but hungry sucks from his foals. Sunny stopped sucking and nudged the bottle out of his tiny mouth, making satisfied cooing noises. This caused Giggle to instinctively turn his attention back to Bright, who had apparently stopped a while ago and had started snuggling into his chest. He gently moved the tip of his hoof to the centre of hers, immediately feeling it wrap around his. She seemed so tiny, so fragile, so delicate, so vulnerable. As though she needed him to protect her. He looked down at her hazel eyes. They had a definite sense of curiosity to them, as though they wanted to understand everything, even at her young age. He still couldn't quite believe that he even had one foal, let alone twins. It all seemed too surreal, too perfect. Even now, after a month, he'd still sometimes be surprised to wake up to foalish whining. It all just seemed too good for him. But he didn't want them gone. Far from it. There was no way in Hell that he'd want what gave him the most joy in the world gone. He held the tiny filly close to his chest. At last, he'd found nothing but pure joy. Test Results"It's probably nothing. Just a bug! Nothing more than a bug!" Snowflake dashed through the door of her house, she had one thing and one thing only on her mind and she was hoping that it wasn't so. Just, stay calm. Just stay calm. She kept thinking to herself, but that was kinda hard to do since her and Giggle's future was about to be determined. "Snow, the-" Giggle box said before being interrupted by Snowflake. "I will be right with you!" She interrupted, running up the stairs to the bathroom. Where is it? I didn't leave it in the chemist's, did I? No, here it is. She pulled out a small cardboard package and looked it over. Finally she opened it and tried to make herself calm by thinking, Just do it. It's just a test. Nothing more than a test. You've taken hundreds of them. ~*~ "Positive" The word never sounded so harsh. Snowflake always associated the word positive with good things. But this was not a good thing, not one bit. The lines blurred in front of her face. She slumped down on her soft bed with millions of thoughts running through her head. She herd her knees close to her body, and started crying to herself. Suddenly the door flew open, it was Gigglebox still in his chipper mood but with a hint of concern for his wife, whenever she felt distraught, he would always find a way to make her happy. "Snow, what's wrong? How did... Holy mother of Faust, your dad is gonna kill me..." He said, looking at the cast aside test on the floor. He eye's widened with surprise, he quickly glanced at Snowflake who was still in her tight position, he only heard a sad and nervous voice say, "He already hates you, you dunce." Snowflake replied. She didn't really want to call him a dunce, even though she did it almost every week, but he still didn't deserve to be called names at this time. "Ah, well. He can't really hate me any more than he already does. He'll probably get over it in a day or two.... Hey don't cry!" He said trying to comfort her. Snowflake looked up to his line of sight and glared at him. "Don't cry?! I don't want kids! Kids are the last thing I want! I can't make the commitment of being a mother! I can barely even make the commitment of remembering to feed myself!" Gigglebox sat next to his lover, trying to comfort her in some way, but he knew that they were split. He always loved kids and wanted one for his own. But knowing that Snowflake doesn't want kids made him feel guilty. "Look Snow, this could be great for us! I'm sure when you were a young filly you wanted children of your own, didn't you?" Snowflake didn't answer, she didn't know what to say at this point. She just stared blankly at the small object that determined her and Giggle's fate with a simple plus sign. Finally Snowflake said with all the words she could muster up, "Look Giggle, I know you want foals but, I just don't think I'm ready! I mean, getting married was a big step alone, but... Foals now? I just don't think I can handle it" She buried her face in her hooves, Giggle rubbed her back and said, "Yeah, but just think Snow, we'll soon have more love between us! Not only that but I'm sure your parents would love the fact that there grandparents now. I know my mom would, I dunno bout my dad, but luckily he's out of the picture." Giggle let out a few chuckles and continued, "Besides, you and I both know that we hold a lot of talent, so if we're lucky... Maybe we can make a family made of pure talent." He said with a grin that in the end did make Snow laugh a little. "I guess you're right, but I... I'm just..." Snowflake hesitated she never liked having to admit being scared. But as if they shared thoughts Giggle knew what Snowflake was about to say, and with a quick kiss on the cheek he said, "I know, I'm a little scared too. But trust me Snow... When we're old and grumpy we'll be able to look back to the great times we have with our child." Snowflake rested her head on Giggle's shoulder. For extra comfort Giggle rapped his wing around themselves and held her hoof. And they just sat there, thinking about their future ~*~ Meanwhile in ponyville Techie is just getting home from another business trip, but Ninroot has some very exciting news to share. "Hey Nin, I'm home!" Techie said walking through the door from his business trip, ever since his last visit back to Manehatten, he kept getting messages from the company for more managing advice, more invention ideas and invention sales. He was already a smart business stallion and he was only in his late twenties. Ninroot came rushing towards Techie with a very excited face, she looked very overly joyed. Techie couldn't help but smile himself. "Techie... I have some great news!" Ninroot exclaimed, Techie was very curious at this point. But one little thing made him think about what the surprise might be. Oh yeah Nin? Well... What is it?" He asked raising a brow. "I'M PREGNANT!!" Ninroot shouted with joy. Techie's smile quickly melted, he never told Ninroot that he always hated kids, he never liked the thought of them. And he kept saying that he would never have or want kids. But here he was, learning that the love of his life, was going to give birth to his child. "...Oh yeah?... Th-that's cool" He said trying to sound casual, but was doing a horrible job at it. "W-what's wrong Techie? Aren't you happy for us? We'll have a little bundle of joy soon! Oh I wonder if it'll be a colt or filly? What do you think we should name it? What do you think it'll look like? Wha-" Ninroot was interrupted of her barrage of questions by Techie who said, "Look Nin, nothing can express the joy I'm feeling right now... But, I... I don't really... Like kids Nin. To be straight forward and honest... I never really liked kids." This made him feel really guilty, he saw Ninroot's smile melt into a surprised and sad shape. "B-but I th- though that you would be... Happy." Ninroot said fighting back tears. "And I am, but I just want to tell you the truth that I don't like kids. I'm very sorry if I burst your bubble just now but... I just needed to be truthful is all." Ninroot didn't say a single word. She only stared at Techie, slowly she started to glare at him. Before he could speak some more Ninroot yelled at him with anger, Techie didn't want a fight to happen but he couldn't help but get sucked into the argument. Finally he ended the fight by walking out the door. He just needed time to himself to think about the major change that will affect his future. The only place he could go was to his friend Avian who was younger than Techie and would always go to him for advice. But this time Techie needed advice from Avian. For he knew that Avian was having a child of his own, Blurry has been pregnant for two months already however, so Techie figured that he would ask him for advice about what to do. It didn't take long for Techie to get to Avian's house, he knocked on the door and oddly Wacky Tabacky answered, Techie knew that Wacky would stay at their home from time to time but it still surprised him. "Oh, hey Wacky, uh... Is Avian around?" Techie asked, Wacky was obviously high off of some drug on account of his bloodshot eyes and dazed attitude. "Oh... Nah bro... They uh... They left a while ago." Wacky replied wiping his eyes. "Oh, where would they be?" Techie asked, hoping to get a straight answer. "Avian and Blurry went out to get some... Baby shit or somethin." Techie knew exactly where to go hearing that. "Okay thanks Wacky, see ya." Techie said as he waved goodbye. "OK yeah." Wacky yelled back as he closed the door, probably to huff more paint or smoke another puff of kush. Techie went to town searching for the baby shop, finally he found the little shop that was near Sugar Cube Corner. He entered to see Avian and Blurry looking for baby cloths, even though Blurry couldn't see. Techie guessed that she still deserved to go, it was their kid of course. "Hey Avian!" Techie called out. Avian quickly turned around, while Blurry still felt the fabrics of the baby clothing. "Sup Tech, just shopping with Blurry here, we're very excited for our little... Hey, hun what's the kid gonna be?" Avian asked leaning towards Blurry still minding her own business. "Colt Avie; It's a colt, and we're naming him Blind Spot." Blurry said with excitement. "But wasn't that name an insult to you in flight camp Blurry?" Techie asked. "Yes but... I kinda grew to like it." She said with a smile. "Anyways... What's up Tech?" Avian asked in his usual chipper mood. "Well, Nin's pregnant." Techie replied. "Oh really? Aw congrats Techie!" Avian replied. "Aww, how's it feel to know that you're a daddy now?" Blurry asked still feeling the fabrics. "Well, I don't really know, to be honest... I never really liked kids, and I figured that maybe I could ask Avian here for some advice. So Avian, what was your first reaction when you learned Blurry was pregnant?" Techie asked, Avian could only grin with pride. "Well, to be honest I was as surprised as you were, but I knew that since Blurry was happy to know that she will have a little life inside her, I felt happy for her as well. And later on, I kinda grew to be excited for our child." Avian said sounding as if he had years of wisdom to share. It wasn't until now that Techie realized Ninroot was very happy to receive such great news and he came to rain on her parade. He looked at Avian, then Blurry, then finally his gaze landed on some little pajamas for a little foal. Since the pajamas didn't have a specific gender color they could be used for either colt or filly. Techie thanked Avian and said goodbye, but not without the pajamas, he paid for them and rushed home. When he entered he saw Ninroot in their room looking very sad. "Hey Nin... How's things?" Techie asked hiding his little gift behind his body. "Well, I'm just thinking... Look, I'm sorry that this had to happen, but I ju-" She was interrupted. "Now before you say anything, I just want to say that I sounded very dumb earlier so I went to go clear my head, I talked to Avian and he told me stuff that really opened my eyes, and well... I couldn't help myself." He used his magic to reveal the little pair of pajamas. Ninroot's eyes quickly got misty with happiness. Ninroot tightly hugged Techie with her hooves in excitement. S-so you're happy now?" Ninroot asked innocently, Techie couldn't help but grin. "Nin, if you're happy to have a little foal... Then I'm happy." Techie replied still holding his wife with his hooves. Then Ninroot's eye went blank, she then asked something. "Uh, Techie... What will the foal look like?" Techie paused, he didn't really have a clue. Would the child be born as a normal pony, or will it be all batpony? "Well... Uh... I don't really know Nin, but I do know that no matter what it looks like, I'll still love and care for it as much as you will." He said with a small grin. "Okay Techie, you don't need to be all cheesy now." Ninroot said jokingly, all Techie could do was grin and blush.
As the Months PassMonth #1 It's been an easy first month of Snowflake's pregnancy, her and Giggle were doing just swell... "Okay babe, I trust you."
New Home, New LifeToday was the day, the day Giggle and Snowflake's lives were going to change.
You promised."
Foals“Sir, do you want to-” “No.” “Sir, you've not even-” “I said no.” Gigglebox wasn't going to look at his children. 'You, Melody, are a very lucky pony.'
A Date Over CoffeeWacky woke up early in the morning. "Wacky got some."
First NightsGigglebox lay in bed with his wife. 'Why is that kid always waking up when I get back from doing something!?'
Response Or, Morning ChoresWacky awoke to the sunlight streaming through the bedroom window.
