It has been a week since the incident with the portal. The town of ponyville had to be enlarged in order to accommodate the genderswapped versions of its residents. Overall things have been surprisingly smooth except for Lyra and Guyra's ranting about being right. The Mixels have had to be relocated, however, to a large clearing within the everfree forest.

The counterparts have actually been quite helpful in many cases:
Twilight and Dusk have managed to study half the library,
Fluttershy and Butterscotch were able to nurse Fluttershy's entire clinic back to health,
Applejack and Apple Jack were able to pick the entire orchard and plant half a new one.
Pinkie and Berry made the entire town smile, including Cranky, in 30 seconds.
Rarity and Elusive have been drumming up profits, and seem to have a thing for each other.

However not everypony is taking it as well as others, for instance, Dash and Blitz, they see each other as the ultimate challenge. They compete nonstop to be faster than the other. Despite the fact that they are the same pony just different genders.

We begin our story in the skies above ponyville.

Two rainbow colored blurs raced through the sky as they weaved in and out of clouds placed as obstacles to impede their progress.

"You can't beat me." said Rainbow Blitz. "I won the best young flyers competition."

"I think you're forgetting." Started Dash as she pulled ahead. "That I did too."

"Oh its on!" Exclaimed Blitz as he pulled up to meet her.

The two turned sharply downward as they both got ready to perform their signature move. The sonic Rainboom!
As they edged closer to 5 times the speed of sound a mach cone started to form around them. But because of their close proximity the two mach cones became one, just seconds before the Rainboom. These circumstances led to the ultimate rainboom. A larger explosion than a regular rainboom. However the explosion rocketed the two away from each other and towards the ground.

The two later woke up in a hospital. A week after they crashed.

"That was.... awesome!" The two exclaimed in unison.

"Awesome!?!?" Exclaimed Elusive "You could have been killed!"

"Now dear." Said Rarity.

" Dear? " said Rainbow Dash "how long have we been out?"

"About a week." Said Twilight. " luckily you are both in very good condition and can leave now, we were just waiting for you to come to. However you will both have to stay off your wings for another week. We've hired Flurr to keep your wings cool so they can heal and don't swell."

"Ugh." said Blitz. "Well we better get home."

" Yeah." Said Dash "Twi can you teleport us"

" Sure" Said Twilight as she teleported them to their respective houses, said structures now connected by a cloud bridge.

However, unknown to any of the hospital goers, the teleport activated some dormant dna within the two pegasi. Said pegasi went to rest in their respective beds, not knowing of the process happening inside them.
