Rainbow Dash Reads "My Little Dashie"

Author's Note
So, this is my attempt at writing a sad fic. I highly recommend reading My Little Dashie or watching the mini-movie before this, or else this will most likely make no sense.
"The Blue Book" (Re-edited)
Years ago, Rainbow Dash was raised by a strange creature that very few ponies in Equestria knew about. A human.
Rainbow Dash was sent to the human world, due to an accident with Twilight's energy blast. The man in the human world found Rainbow Dash in a small brown plain cardboard box. When he saw her, he decided to take her home. He took care of Rainbow Dash for 15 years, since she was a filly. He considered her, his daughter and Rainbow considered him, her dad. Until one day, Dash's friends came to the human world to get Rainbow Dash back. Rainbow, of course, doesn't remember any of her friends. Princess Ceslestia decides that it's best if Twilight puts the memory spell over Rainbow to make her remember Ponyville again. That was the hardest day of Rainbow's life, but she doesn't remember any of it, and she never will. All her friends have to keep the whole thing a secret from Rainbow Dash. Nopony knows who wrote it, but one day a blue book called "My Little Dashie" teleported into Twilight's house. Twilight has tried multiple times to destroy it, but it seems to be impenetrable, so she keeps it in a special place in the Library. Twilight doesn't want Rainbow to know anything about her Dad. And she won't find out...

I fly through the sky, flying free with nothing in my way. My eyes are closed, listening to the peaceful sound of the wind. I can feel some of my bright colourful rainbow mane blowing in my face. I feel so free, more free than I've ever felt before. Nothing's in my wa-
My thoughts are interrupted by paper that flies right into my face, covering my eyes. I get it out of my face, and get a good look at it, with reads: "New Daring Do novel is out!" The second I read that, I spend no time dashing to Twilight's, for I am guaranteed, being the egghead she is, that she already has the book. I'm going to ask her if I can borrow it for a while. It doesn't take long for me to reach my destination, about two or three minutes. I make a soft landing in front of Twilight's door, preparing to knock when suddenly, Twilight darts out, who appears to be in a hurry. She sprints right by me, but then quickly stops herself when she spots me. She pauses for a second to catch her breath.
"Oh sorry, Dash. Can't talk today, in a hurry."
Twilight pants.
"Aw, but I'm only here for a book!"
I whine.
Twilight rolls her eyes and replies:
"Look under: "D", for Do."
"Thanks!"
I call out to Twilight who is already flying away to wherever she's going, with Spike on her back.
I do a small twirl, flying through the open doors of the library. Twilight's living room has even more books than last time I visited, which was going to make this a little harder. I can't believe Twilight is even letting me find it on my own. She knows what a nightmare I am at finding books like this. There isn't an inch of the wall that doesn't books on it. After a few moments, I shake my head, because I'm here to find the new Daring Do book, not admire the scenery. Every book shelf on the wall has a small letter on it. All the books are in alphabetical order. Wow, Twilight. Seriously? That must've taken a while to organize. But I guess organizing is what Twilight does best anyway. I fly to the forth shelf with the "D" on it.
"How does Twilight get up here without wings?!"
I think. Seconds later, I nearly slap myself in the face for forgetting that Twilight does have wings.
I scan the "D" shelf looking for my book, when something else catches my eye. I notice a button in between four or five books. It's the shape of a horseshoe.
Obviously, I can't not push it, I have to. Being the curious mare I am, I push the button. These little wooden doors open, and there's a mini table with a cyan book on it. I get a closer look, to see that the book is called: "My Little Dashie". Wait, what? That doesn't make any sense ! Why would there be a book with my name on it?! I pick up the book with my hooves to get a good look at the cover.
"That's....me."
I think.
Now I'm more confused than anything. Why would there be a book with my name of it, with a picture of me as a filly on the cover?! I bring the book to the wooden floor and I sit down. I first look on the back of the book which says: 'A true story.'
Though the book doesn't look fake, I'm pretty certain this is just a prank or something. Otherwise, why would Twilight allow me to find a book here by myself?! Especially since she knew I'd had to look under "D" for Do to find the book I was looking for. She should know that since everything is in alphabetical order, "Dashie" would come before "Do". She was obviously planning this. Twilight may be smart, but when it comes to pranks, I'm the egghead. I chuckle to myself as I open the book, somewhere in the middle, expecting to see blank pages.
They aren't blank.
I read a couple sentences.
Okay. Now I freaked out. This book is definitely not fake. There's no way they would write a whole book about me without it being random words or something. Since Twilight won't be back for a while, I decide to stay here to read it. I take off the empty burgundy saddlebags on my back and sit down on the floor, and open up the small blue book and start reading.
I'm now at the part of the book where I get taken away from my Dad.
"D-do I h-have to g-go, Daddy?"
In the book, my dad nodes and I hug him. He tells me that I don't belong in the human world.
I can't believe this actually happened!
When did it happen? Why did it happen?
Twilight, in the book, then said she was going to put a memory spell on me, so I couldn't remember anything about that strange other world.
Before I left that world forever, I said I had to go something. I flew upstairs and grabbed a pen and paper. I wrote a letter and placed it in a cardboard box, the one my Dad found me in. The book doesn't say what it said, but I keep reading.
"Are you ready now, Rainbow?"
Twilight asked me. I slowly nodded. I thought fast, about all the good times I had with my Dad, times that I no longer remember. Then, it was over. I flip to the last page, which has an old folded piece of parchment in it. I open it up and it appears to be a letter. I read it.
Dad,
For fifteen years you've had me. For fifteen years you've loved me, played with me, and made sure I enjoyed my life in a world not meant to house me. I'm not a mare of many words, but even though I told you this in person, I felt like you needed a written version just so you know that it was all real!
I love you Daddy. You shaped me into the mare I am now. I'm not sure what's going to happen, if I'll remember any of this or not, but I want you to know that you've done a darn good time raising me, even if I was a bit stubborn at times and short with you during others.
With Celestia's permission, I hope to allow you to keep our photos, our memories so that you will never forget. Again, I love you, and thank you.

Rainbow Dash
When I'm done reading the letter, I re-read it. Again and again. I'm pretty sure I know it by heart now.
I wrote this. Me. I wrote this, Celestia knows how long ago. I can feel tears in my eyes threatening to form. I quickly make sure that nopony's here. I'm alone.
I let myself cry softly on Twilight's cold hardwood floor, feeling waves of sadness wash over me. Somewhere out there, is my Dad. Something I always thought I never had, a dad! I was told that I'm an orphan when I was a filly. Then something else dawned on me:
my friends all know about this.
My friends didn't tell me anything about this, nothing! It didn't occur to them that they've all hiding things from me! Every Father's Day, my friends knew that I hated that holiday, because I didn't have a dad. They could've said:
"Oh Rainbow Dash, did you know you actually have a dad?" Even Applejack, the most honest pony in Equestria. She lied. Not only did she lie, but she lied to one of her best friends.
I'm so lost in thought right now. I don't understand. My friends betrayed me. Just because they aren't the elements of loyalty, doesn't mean they can just betray me like it's nothing! I guess I can't stay mad at them forever, that would make me betraying them.
The book is still open right in front of me, along with the letter that I wrote. Suddenly, the sound of a door opening nearly makes me jump out of my skin. I whip my head behind me, to see a very concerned looking Twilight.
I quickly wipe my eyes.
"Rainbow Dash! What's wrong?!"
Twilight asks me, seconds before noticing the book and letter.
"Oh no...Rainbow? You didn't read that, did you?"
I can't speak, so I cover my face with my hooves as a reply. Twilight runs up to me and squeezes me tight.
"Rainbow Dash, I'm so sorry! We thought you would be mad at us!"
Twilight apologizes. This makes me frown.
"You guys didn't tell me because you thought I'd get mad?! How about, because I might become depressed over it...or maybe because I might worry too much about it...or maybe because I might run off to try to find him! As a matter in fact, I am mad, but I'm mad because you didn't tell me!"
I yell in Twilight's ashamed face.
"Well, you wouldn't run off, I mean, you're the element of loyalty!"
Twilight explained. I rolled my eyes.
"Maybe I will run off!"
I scream, as my wings open in frustration.
"B-but Rainbow! You can't just betray us! Not only are you the element of loyalty, you are our friend!"
Twilight chokes out. I can feel the knot in my throat returning.
"Twilight, I'm not betraying you, I'm being loyal to my father. If you think about it, you guys are the ones who betrayed me! You guys hid this from me!"
I yell in anger . Twilight just stands there, stunned...not completely sure how to handle this. We stand there for about a minute, staring at each other. After two more minutes pass, Twilight finally breaks the silence.
"Rainbow...I'm sorry. I didn't know this would hurt you."
She apologizes. I'm tired of talking about my emotions. It's already embarrassing enough to be in tears in front of Twilight, let alone talk about it. Wanting to change the subject, I reply with a:
"Goodbye, Twilight."
I scoop up the book and drop it in my saddlebag.
When my saddlebags are securely closed, I open my wings and take off. I fly through Twilight's open door and zoom into the open sky, trying to escape from the worried alicorn chasing behind me. I try to fly faster, but due to Twilight's alicorn powers, she speeds up too. Those powers are annoying. I train everyday to have this speed, and all Twilight has to do is to be zapped from the freaking elements of harmony and boom she's almost as fast as me. I scan the ground for a good place to hide. I quickly spot the Everfree Forest. I have to find a way to get in there without Twilight seeing and following me.
Suddenly, I see my rainbow cloud house floating nearby. I fly straight for my home, with Twilight still following me. Seconds before slamming into my front door, I quickly open it and fly inside. The second I'm in, I slam the door shut, and lock it. Then I slump onto my cloud-like bed to catch my breath. I breath heavily, waiting to hear Twilight knocking on my door. It doesn't take long for me to hear Twilight. The moment I do, I quietly fly out the window on the opposite side of my house and fly towards the forest.
Once in a while, I quickly check behind me, to make sure Twilight's not following. I have finally made it to the forest. From Twilight's view, she won't be able to see me with all the tall thick trees. I'm still out of breath, so I don't run. I only walk slowly on the cold, damp, grass mixed with mud. I look up, I can just barely see my front door, which is isolated. I don't know where Twilight went, but I know she wouldn't of seen me. I also see bit of the sky, that is not quite as blue as before. There are more clouds and the clouds are slightly more grey. Now that my legs are rested up, I start to run. I suddenly think of my friends, as a wave of sadness hits me once again. If I continue my actions, I won't ever see them again. I have stopped running because I thought I felt a drop of wetness on my hoof. I feel another, and another. I look up, and the sky is even more grey than before. Every moment, the rain becomes more and more heavy.
Suddenly, I hear a familiar voice call my name.
"RAINBOW DASH!"
I whip my head behind me, I see my friends in the distance. I really don't want to be angry with them because....ARG!!
Out of everything, why do I have to represent freaking loyalty?! Now, because I'm the element of loyalty, I feel the need to run up to them and hug them, rather than giving them the beating they deserve. So of course, being the weak pathetic mare I am, I run to my friends. We go into a group hug.
"RD, Ah'm so sorry bout' that book ya read. Jus' please don't run away."
Applejack's apology worked way better than Twilight's. When Twilight apologized, it made me feel angry. Applejack's apology makes me want to cry, and forgive them. Applejack really sounds like she cares about me. By now the rain is so heavy, it's weighing Applejack's hat down. Nopony speaks. I don't even try to run away like before. I stay as quiet as the others. Surprisingly, Fluttershy is the first to break the silence.
"Please. Don't leave us hangn'."
She says in a almost a whisper. That last word Fluttershy says, it's so powerful. It brings me back to the first time I met Twilight, when I said : "I'd never leave my friends hangn' ", that's when my friends discovered that I'd never leave them, and here I am, wanting to leave them. A sob shakes my body. I try to hide it but can't. I'm not used to this sort of emotion. Not like this. My friends all notice.
Oh, great...
My friends all run up to me and lock me in a tight embrace. Despite being so angry with them, I don't want to leave them.
"...Can you come with me?"
I say softly, still choking on tears I don't want to fall. My friends all look at each other, then to me with sad smiles. I take this as a "no", so I turn away from my friends. I don't know how I should feel.
My emotions are all messed up. I'm sad, angry, hurt, confused, regretful, and...scared. That's right, I used the "s" word. I'm scared, and I'm scared out of my mind. The thought of losing my friends forever, and the thought having a Dad that I'll never be able to meet.
...What do I do?
