Join Twilight Luisant (Sparkle), a Magus of considerable talent, and personal student of the Sun King Solaris of the Kingdom of Caer Vael, as she attempts to unravel the frightening mystery of the return of the King of Shadows, a monster said to have been so powerful, that even the powers of the light could not completely destroy him, instead, imprisoning him in the celestial body of the moon. Now, over a thousand years since his imprisonment, the King of Shadows threatens to return and spread an eternal darkness and winter over not just Caer Vael, but all lands beyond.
