//-------------------------------------------------------// The Swallow's Final Serenade -by Jingle- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Sing Sweetly //-------------------------------------------------------// Sing Sweetly I found myself on a small, fluffy cloud, far off from civilization. Somewhere between Equestria and Saddle Arabia perhaps. It no longer mattered to me where I resided, only where my mind wandered. I let my body and mind roam where they wished, though they rarely longed for the same thing. My body wished to be in Equestria, my home; however, my mind claimed the freedom in the open skies. The physical drive to be home could hardly compare for my need for freedom. I suppose that came from being a younger sister, always being carefully monitored by both my royal parents, and my cautious older sister. A soft wind ruffled my baby blue mane, bringing me back from my thoughts. It was a chilly night, though nothing my downy coat couldn't keep me warm through. As the sun began to set to make way for the moon, my breath began to crystallize in the air, a sign the temperature was dropping. Ever since I had left, my older sister had taken over my duty of raising the moon, though her work does not match mine in quality. A rumor spread that the dear Princess Luna had turned into Nightmare Moon and had to be banished to the moon. However riveting of a rumor it became, it still was just that, a rumor, a myth. One day, the truth would likely break free that I had in fact just left to clear my head. I had been gone almost six months now, seeing ponies only in their sleep. With my ability to dream walk, I could still make contact with ponies, though only in their dreams. I watched as my glorious moon rose, bringing with it the night.
