Chapters "Your a ZEBRA!?!" L yelled, in shock. "Yes" the zebra replied. "How is a zebra talking?" L asked. He shook his head and stood up... Not very well. "Why cant I stand up strait?" He landed on all fours. He looked down, not to see hands on the ground, but hooves... He screamed. The zebra looked paniced. "Who are you?" L asked, still paniced. "Z-z-z-z-ze-Zecora." she replied. "Well, Zecora... Why am I a pony and not a human!?!? I was human a second ago! I was eating candy and I found a bubblegum flavor and ate it and then I fell and... How long was I out?" L asked. "As you said, a second ago. I thought you were dead..." Zecora replied. "What is Japanese?" "It is a language. You've never heard of it?" L asked. "No" Zecora replied. "Strange" L thought. "Bubblegum you say. Probably Pinkie pie, she is dumb. She lost that and it made you come here. Dont shed a tear." Zecora said. L was puzzled. "Wait, a pony named Pinkie-" he started. He started speaking to fast an went back to speaking in Japanese. "Pai, baburugamufurēbājerībīn o ushinai, sore ga ikutsu ka no michi no riyū de koko ni okutte kureta? Hijō ni ronri-teki." he finished. " what?" Zecora asked. "Oops, sorry." L replied. "Pinkie pie, lost a jellybean that sent me here? Very logical..." "Let ,me take you to her." Zecora said. "Okay." L replied. The two walked out of the door and went to Ponyville. "Woah! What is that?" L asked, pointing at Twilight's house. "That is the library and where my good friend Twilight Sparkle lives." Zecora replied. L nodded. They kept walking. "What's that up there?" L asked, pointing at a house in the sky. "That is Rainbow Dash's house." Zecora replied. L nodded again. Then they finally came upon a sweet shop called, "Sugarcube Corner". At the sight of the place, L smacked his lips. "This is the most amazing thing I have ever seen!" L said. He stepped inside. "Wau!" he said, before going to the counter and begging for sweets.
"Uh, so you want..." Mrs. Cupcake started. L was talking so fast that he was talking in Japanese. "Kēki, aisukurīmu, zerī mame no fukuro-" he said, as he kept talking on and on. Mrs. Cupcake didn't know what to make of this. "Pinkie!" she yelled. "Yeah!" a sqweeky voice replied from upstairs. "Come here!" Mrs. Cupcake yelled. A pink pony came running down the stairs. "Oh, hi!" Pinkie said. "Kon'nichiwa, oh, I mean, hi!" L replied. "hi, can I help you with something?" Pinkie asked. "Uh yeah, I need cake, ice cream and, a bag of jelly beans. Thats what I said..." L replied. "Oh okay!" Pinkie said. She grabed the three items and handed it to him. "That will be 10 bits." "Bits? How about $10." L replied. " Dollars? No." Pinkie said. " Okay, how about 10 yen?" L replied. "Oh whatever. Give me the, whatever you said." Pinkie said. L handed Pinkie the money and said, " Pinkie, you lost a bubblegum flavor jellybean." L said, while stuffing cake in his mouth. "How did you know?" Pinkie asked. " Well, if it gets into my world, it brings people here. That happened to me..." L said. " Oh I see..." Pinkie said. He smiled. " What is your name?" "L" he replied. "That's an odd name." Pinkie said. "Oh whatever..." L replied. A dark blue pony with a blue and green mane, with a music note and wings as a cutiemark, walked in the door. "Dashing!!!" Pinkie yelled. "Pinkie!" the pony replied. The blue pony looked at L and started blushing at the sight of him. "Why is her face red?" L asked. "I think she like you." Pinkie replied. " Pinkie, dont be silly." the blue pony said. "Aww, but I'm so good at it!" Pinkie replied. "Who are you?" the blue pony asked. " L" he replied. " Well L, I am Dashing note." she replied. "How are you, Dashing Note?" " Great than-" she started, but was interupted by the ground shaking. "What was that?" L asked. " Either an earthquake or, Luna is mad again..."

Seeing Luna/Nightmaremoon for the first time
L ran outside and started for the huge tree he had saw when arriving. The ground shook under his feet, sorry, hooves. He didn't run like this a lot. This was odd. He kept running, making his pace faster each second. When he got to her door, he knocked. Seconds went by and he opened the door. "What is it?" a purple dragon asked. "Where's Twilight? I need to see Twilight! Twilight Sparkle." he said. "Princess Twilight is upstairs." it said. L rushed up the stairs. "Princess Twilight!" he yelled. He opened door to see a purple pony looking out the window. Then she rushed for her sattle bags. "Princess Twilight!" L called. "Yes, what is it?" she replied, looking at L. Pinkie Pie arrived behind L, with 4 other ponies. Dashing Note joined them. "Are you here about Nightmare Moon?" she asked. L nodded. "Well, I'm on that." "I'm coming with you guys this time around." L said. "No, your not." Twilight replied. "I dont even know you." "Pinkie does." L argued. "If she says we can trust you... But you dont even have an element. You... I dont know. Ask Pinkie." Twilight staggered. Pinkie Pie nodded. "Then he's coming!" she squeeled. "Me too." Dashing Note urged. Twilight nodded. "You can always help. Even if in the end you destroy something." she replied. Dashing Note smiled. The 8 rushed out. Soon becoming 9 with a purple dragon tagging along. "Oh, Spike! Come on!" Twilight yelled. "Not sure how you forgot Spiky-wikey!" Rarity pouted. Spike's face turn completly red. L chuckled as he saw this. Spike put one finger, claw, to his lips. "I think you..." L said, as he slowed his pace to catch up with Spike. "No! Of course not!" he replied, shaking his head wildly. "You know... I'm the best detective in the world where I come from." L said. "Dont start boasting." Spike replied. L shook his head. "I'm not... I am the #1 detective. So there is no hiding secrets from me... So I think you should tell me." he said. "Fine! you got me... Yes, she knows. I just dont like others to." Spike replied. L smirked. "How about you?" Spike asked. L shook his head, "I dont have time." "You do here." Spike said. "No, I dont." he replied. "I have to help stop Nightmare. I never will have time for anything else." L looked down at his hooves. "Sure you will." Spike said. L looked up and kept running. He felt like crying. He had never really wanted to before. He knew no one so, no one could get on his nerves. Only Watari. After thinking of Watari's name, L reallized. Watari must be worried! He probably thought, Where's L? Or what if... L was so confused. Was he dreaming that there were talking ponies? Was this really happening? Was the jellybean really just poisoned? Did he just fall asleep, due to the lack of sleep? Was this real? Or was it all made up inside his head? He couldn't tell. Talking ponies... Where had he heard of them before? He kept running, despite all his thoughts that scared him to think of. Watari... He missed his place. They finnally arrived at the train and they all got on. They sat down. The train was tipped over. On his side. He landed and the windows shattered beneth his head. It hurt. The rest fell on him. Dashing Note and Rainbow Dash were flying. It was hard to breath now. He heard laughter. A mare. Everyone got off and rushed outside. Then L followed. A black mare, with blue, stunning, hair that looked to be made of stars, a cutie mark of a moon, fangs, a long black horn, gaint wings, and blue eyes with, a blue helmet running down her neck, a blue collar, and 4 blue shiny shoes, showed herself. "Your Nightmare Moon if I'm not mistaken." L asked. She nodded. She laughed once more. "Are you knew or what? Everyone knows me." she scowled. L shot her a look. "As a matter of fact, I am." he replied, coldly. She smirked. "Nice to meet you." she said. "Kutabare." L muttered, under his breath. She shot hime a look, showing that she had heard him. "What does that mean?" she asked. "I'd rather not say, if you dont mind." he replied. She hit him. "I do mind." she said, harshly. "Hit me all you want..." L staggered. He swung himslef around and kicked her in the face. She flew back. "I'll just return the favor." Nightmare got up, brushing herself off. "I dont like him... I'll leave for now." she said, flying away. "Get back here!" Rainbow Dash yelled. L collapsed. "It's fine Rainbow. Look!" Twilight said, pointing at L. Everyone rushed over. "L, are you okay?" Pinkie asked. "Would candy make you happy?" she asked. "Pinkie! How could you ask somthing like that right now!?! He's hurt! No playing games!" Twilight said. "No, he really likes candy!" Pinkie replied. Dashing Note lied down on the ground next to L, she wrapped her hoof around him. "Are you okay?" she asked. He feebly nodded. "I'll take him to my place." Dashing said. And with that. She flew off with L in her hooves. When they got there, she lied him down on her bed. She grabbed a glass of water and set it beside him. She grabbed as much candy as she could, remembering how much candy he had a Sugar Cube Corner. She put that next him too. She went out of her house for one second and when she came back... L was sleeping. The candy was gone though... "Sweet dreams."
L opened his eyes. "Dashing Note?" he said. There was no reply. "Dashing note? Pinkie? Twilight? Rainbow? Applejack? Rarity? Fluttershy? What happened? Did we stop Nightmare?" he asked. "L!" a voice said. He had heard it before. The voice sounded like the person was old. "What? Who are you?" L asked. He looked around to see... Watari! "Watari! But... How?" he asked. He then realied, he was human. He looked at his hands, then stroked his hair. "L?" Watari asked. L looked at Watari. "Are you okay?" "No! Of course not!" L replied, coldly. "What have I missed?" "Not much." Watari replied. "What happened? There's never been to much candy..." Watari asked. "There were talking ponies! I sware! Dont think I'm crazy and I've finally lost it! I know how strange this sounds. But there were talking ponies!" L yelled. Watari stared at him, confused. "L, why dont you lay down." He replied. "No! I already am..." L pointed out. "L there are no talking ponies. You just had a strange, no, very strange, dream." Watari replied. "No! I know how I got there! I dont know how to get back but, I know how I got there! It was that one pink jellybean! It knocked me out. Then I woke up in a zebra's house, uh, hut." L screamed. "L! There is no sucj thing as talking ponies! Get that through your mind! I've never seen you sleep before and it made me worry! I thought mabye you had a heart attack or something. I didn't know what to do. If I called someone I'd have to come up with lots of lies. Your L.... The greatest detective to ever live. If anyone found out your real identity, it would ruin everything you've worked so hard to keep that secret. So I couldn't call anyone. I just had to sit here and watch you... Die, is what I thought. But I was watching you sleep and dream the weirdest dream ever." Watari said. "And I'm glad you didn't call someone. But it wasn't a dream, I could feel. Can you feel if glass breaks under your head and when 8 others fall on you, 7 if you disclude a small dragon, if your in a dream?" L asked. "No" Watari replied. "Exactly. I could feel the glass crashing, feel all of them falling onto me." he said. Watari looked down. "Well then, I dont know what to tell you." he replied. L smiled. He had one yet another battle. He got up, walked to his computer, and sat down, the way he does. L looked down at his closed lap top. He put his arms on it and burried his head in his arms. He closed his eyes. He felt something cold and wet slide down his face from his eye. L lifted his head and touched the tear running down his face. Wiping it off, he put his head back down. He felt it again. And another. His throat hurt now. "I..." he staggered. "I want to go back." his voice was hoarse. "But how?" "Dashing note, Pinkie, Twilight, Rainbow, Applejack, Rarity, Flutters, Spike..." "L?" Watari asked. "You seem sad... Are you okay?" L nodded, but kept his head down. Why was he crying? Why did this bother him so much? He wanted to go back to a world full of talking ponies? Little girls would like that stuff! Wait, they wouldn't like Nightmare... If they were there. There was a lot they wouldn't like. What was he saying? That he didn't want to see them again? No... They were his only friends exept for Watari. He had never made friends like that before. He hadn't really made ANY friends. They were nice, kind, sweet, to him. Pinkie shared his love for candy. Dashing, there was just something about her he liked. AJ, she loved eating so he loved her. Rarity, all beutiful colors. Fluttershy, she was just so nice, you can't help but love that. Rainbow, can throw awesome moves out there, he had spotted her flying on the way into Ponyville. Spike, funny, brave. Twilight... She was smart, she would be able to find stuff out, like him. They were all so cool! He went back to his bed and found a pink jellybean on it. Had Pinkie done this? He picked it up and ate it. From the corner of his eye he saw Watari walk around the corner. L fell, the last thing he saw was Watari standing next to him trying to help. L didn't need any help, he was fine as long as he was going back to Equestria...
L opened his eyes again. "Watari?" he said, noticing he was at Dashing's house. He smiled. "Dashing?" "Yeah?" this time there was a reply. L got up and trotted over to Dashing note. He hugged her. Her eyes were wide in shock. "L?" she asked. "Sorry." he replied, backing away.
"It's okay, you just are so... happy." she said. "Thats not a bad thing." L smiled. "When I was sleeping here, I went back home. I dont know how. Did Pinkie send another jellybean?" he asked. "Oh! So thats what she was doing!" Dashing replied. "Yes" "If you want, I can teach you how to speak my languge. It's called Japanese. "L offered. Dashing nodded. "Just some words." he added. She nodded again. "Okay, I dont teach but say, Kon'nichiwa." he said. "Kon'nichiwa" she echoed. "You just said hello." L said. Dashing smiled. "Oh! I know this! Lyra studdies humans! She tought me this!" Dashing said. "Oh yeah... Prove it." L replied. "L wa, dono yō ni anata no kyōdesu ka?" she asked. (L, how are you today?) L smirked. "Watashi wa idaina okagede ne." he replied. (I'm great thanks.) "Anata wa dō?" (How about you?) "Daijōbudesu" she replied. (I'm fine.) They spent the day talking to each other in Japanese. Then there was a knock at the door. Both L and Dashing note got up and went to the door. "Kon'nichiwa" she said. "Dono yō ni wareware wa anata o tasukeru koto ga dekiru?" L asked. "What?" Rainbow dash asked. "Oh sorry." L replied. "Gomen'nasai" Dashing said. "Sorry" she fixed the way she said that. "We need you guy's down there! Nightmare is attcking!" Rainbow said. The two nodded. L jumped out the door and went flying down through the clouds. Dashing and Rainbow ran to the edge of the cloud and started flying. They looked awesome. Although one was falling and didn't have any wings, he wasn't afraid. They landed. All of them safe. They started running through Ponyville. THen they came to the rest and Nightmare. "Oh no, it's you again." Nightmare spat, looking at L. He smirked. "Yeah, I'm back." he said, evily. "I hate you..." she said. "I could say the same about you..." L said. "But I wont... Because I know you can be better than this. You're not the villan, I know you dont want to be. So dont." She shook her head. "I'm not the villan! I just everyone to see my..." she started. She lifted herself and smashed down. "NIGHT!!!!!" she screamed. It suddenly turned into night. All 8 of them heard a pony screaming. "Celestia!!!" the 7 shouted. "Who is Celestia?" L asked.
"The one who makes day! Luna is her sister! The one who makes night!" Rainbow dash explained. L nodded. "We have to find-" L started. He was cut off by a scream loud enough to wake the dead. His ears hurt. Everyone else started screaming, holding their ears. L held his ear, but didn't scream. "Stop!" he screamed. Nightmare shook her head and looked up as she screamed louder. L started screaming now. Back in his world Watari was looking at L, sleeping on the bed until he started shaking. He lifted his arms and pluged his ears. He screamed, louder and louder. "L! Stop screaming! We are in a hotel! L!" Watari said. But it was no use. L only got louder. He was shaking. Watari pinned him down, but it was no use. L only struggled. Back in Equestria L was screaming louder still. What was he doing in his world? he wondered. In his world it turned to night in all of the world, Japan and America! It was on T.V! Where L was everypony was screaming. "I will make EVERYPONY AND EVERYONE SEE MY NIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"she screamed. "I WILL NOT STOP HERE IN EQUESTRIA!!!! NO! L I KNOW WHERE YOU CAME FROM!!!! WATARI WILL SEE NIGHT TOO! INFACT HE IS NOW!!!!! HE ALSO IS TRYING TO GET THE SLEEPING YOU TO SHUT UP!!!!!!!" She laughed. "No! Dont make Watari suffer this!" L screamed. "Oh... That is a good idea!" she replied. "L go to your world and see for yourself!!!"
Seeing L's world in torture
L woke up in bed. He kept screaming. He could here Nightmare's voice in him. "Look at Watari! He's afraid! OF YOU!!!!!" she yelled, she laughed. "Shut up!" L screamed. L struggled to get up, but he easily overpowered Watari. He ran to the window. "No!!!!!!!! How could you! Why?" he screamed. "You like?" she asked. "No!" he replied. "Watari! Remember when I told you about the talking ponies? Well one of them is making this night! Her voice is in me and-" he started. He screamed. A purpleish/blueish smoke apeared in the room. It punched L in the face. "L!" Watari yelled. Nightmare moon showed up in human form! "I've always hated you from the moment you attacked me!" she yelled. The smoke shot out of her hands. It wrapped itself around L and got tighter. L screamed. It shocked him. Watari watched all of this, speachless. "I HATE L LAWLIET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" she screamed. "everyone in both worlds can hear me now!" She busted out the window with L. All the world could see them. "This is L Lawliet! Yes THE L! The detective that never shows himself, this is him!" she screamed. The smoke got tighter, L flinched. It started shocking him again. He screamed more. "No! I CANT LET YOU DO THIS! TO EITHER OF OUR WORLDS!!!!!!!" L screamed. He struggled until he broke free. Everyone started turning into ponies! The 7 were watching. And every pony from Equestria was there! L was a pony too. He smirked. "Rainbow!" he yelled. "On it!" she replied. She flew up and caught him. "I need to be a pegasus." he said. "On it!" Princess Twilight said, as she joined them in the sky. She cast a spell and L was then soaring in the sky. "Nightmare stop!" he yelled. He charged for Nightmare. She teleported them into Equestria. She flew around, avoiding him. "L Lawliet! You have gotten in my way! Now pay!!!!" she yelled. She pulled him to her with magic. "Just so you know... Everyone in yor world are human again." she said. "You are asleep." "Watari is telling them that it's okay. That you are with us." she punched L, sending him crashing to the ground. "No... Stop... You dont need to show everypony... Or everyone. Everyone knows your night and so does everypony. I happen to know that when I was young, I used to look up at your stars and say," that is the most amazing thing ever!" I also happen to know that Twilight here has a star as her cutiemark. Do you like gazing at stars?" L asked. Twilight nodded. "It's one of my favorite things to do." she said. "Me too. Other than solving cases of course." L replied. Nightmare looked at both me a Twilight. "That dosn't mean others like it!" she yelled. "I have a telescope!" one pony said. "Me too!" another pony chimed in. Nightmare looked around at all the ponies with star cutie marks. "See?" L asked. "I..." she said. "I love looking at stars!" one pony pointed out. L smiled. "The moon is so pretty!" another said. "Who are they?" I heard Watari ask. "Other ponies." L replied. "We can see everything. Just, do you know their names?" Watari asked. "No" he replied. "See. This is how everypony feels! How does everyone feel?" L asked. "I love looking at the stars!" someone from my world said. Everyone and everypony was chiming in about the night. "There you have it." L said. Nightmare looked around. She then screamed as an explosion happened. L was hit by all of this and he fell. He hit his head on something REALLY hard. He cried out. He was laying on his back now when he felt a sharp pain stab into his heart. He screamed. When the smoke was cleared, Nightmare was gone and there was a blue mare laying on him. Her horn had stabbed his heart. This was Luna. She must have fallen. "L!" everyone and everypony cried. Luna was sleeping. Everything started to go white as Luna was pulled off of him. Dashing Note ran over to him. She started crying. She kissed him. "Gomen'nasai" she said. "Sore wa ī no yo..." he replied, he then lost his feel and then he was just laying there... Cold.
He went back back to his bed to get a new stash of candy. He did not grab much. He walked back to his laptop and sat down infront of it. Of course he did not sit down normally like other humans did. He made it look to easy. He looked at his laptop as he watched one of Mixle and L Fan's video's. He was not working on a case at this point in time and he deserved a break. "Nightcore just goes with any song!" He thought as he stuck another piece of candy in his mouth. He grabed another piece of candy. It was bubblegum flavor. He popped it into his mouth. It was the last piece so his walked over to the bed. He never used the bed, he just put candy on it. He suddenly fell. He landed on the bed and everything went black. When he woke up he was not in the same place... He was in a unpleasnt place that did not look welcoming. "I saw you collapsed outside, so I brought you inside." a deep voice said. L looked up. "Ebisu, doko?" he asked. "English" the deep voice replied. "Hu, sorry, I am Japanese... Where am I?" L asked. He still had not spotted the person who had him here. "In my hut." the voice replied. He looked around more. He spotted the person who had him here. Or rather the ZEBRA who had him here!!!!!
Unexpected guest in L and Dashing's house
L opened his eyes. He was human again. He got up to see the huge magic thing that everyone saw this through. He saw himself with Dashing. He felt water in his eyes. He screamed. Tears streamed down his face. He was full on crying infront of everyone. "Sassō-san!" he yelled. (Dashing!) "I love you!" he yelled in English. He started crying again. "L?" she asked, hearing him. "Same" she replied. "Some how get here!" L cried. "How?" she asked. "I dont know! Celestia!" he screamed. "Who is this?" a white alicorn mare asked. "Celestia! That is L! The one who saved us! That one there on the ground! He is human! He came here and was a pony like us! He saved your sister!" Twilight said. "L? Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Dashing if you want, I can send you there." she said. Dashing nodded. "Yes, please." she said. Celestia's horn lit. Then Dashing was in L's arms. "Dashing..." he said, as he hugged her. "As much as I want to go back, I'm dead there. I cant." Dashing nodded. "Lets clean this place up." she said. There was a flash and everything was back to normal. "Thank you, Celestia." Celestia nodded. The magic shut and they never saw Equestria again. "Sassō-san!" L yelled, the next day. (Dashing!) "Hai?" she replied. (yes?) "Kyō wa genkidesu ka? Kono basho ni nare?" he asked. (How are you today? Getting used to this place?) "Hai!" she replied, again. (yes!) "Watashi wa, watashi wa kore o miru koto ga ureshīdesu!" (I'm glad I get to see this!) "Raira-chan wa, osoraku totemo shittodesu!" (Lyra is probably so jealous!) "Sore wa yoi kotoda?" L asked. (That's a good thing?) "Hai" she replied. (yes) L laughed. "Anata-tachi wa watashi no hanashi o shite imasu ka?" someone asked. (Are you guys talking about me?) "Nani?" Dashing said. (What?) "Raira-chan?" (Lyra?) Both L and Dashing walked into a room to see a girl sitting in there. "Hai?" she asked. (yes?) "What is it?"
