Chapter 1: Cleaning Supplies
Elusive was walking through the halls of Canterlot High after a long day of school. His history teacher, Ms. Harshwhinny, had assigned him with a huge stack of homework, and he was eager to get with his friends to study for it. He had currently told nearly all of his friends to meet at the park at exactly 5 o'clock sharp to work on it. He had told Duskshine, Berry, Butterscotch, and Blitz, who all agreed to the study session. He was currently trying to find Applejack to tell him about the session.
After an odd 10 minutes of trying to find AJ, however, Elusive finally decided to text the southern boy. His reply was the cafeteria. After arriving in the room, he began to smell something vaguely similar to lemon mixed with mop water.
"Hello? AJ? Are you in here?" the fabulous boy called. His reply was a thud and a small 'ouch' from a nearby table. Then out crawled AJ from underneath, looking slightly dusty, with a wet rag in his hand.
"Hey elusive," he began," what might ah ask you need." He sounded slightly irritated at the bump on his head, as he began to rub the spot which, at least Elusive assumed, was the spot where his head collided with the table.
"I just wanted to invite you to the study session our friends our having to discuss our homework. It's in the park, promptly at 5 o'clock," Elusive stated, in a matter-of-fact tone.
"Sure. I should be done here by that time." Elusive knew why his friend was doing this. Grandpa Smith was one of the janitors at the school, so AJ made it a priority to help when he could.
"Excellent," the fabulous boy replied. As he turned to leave he had an excellent idea. "IDEA! I can help you clean this place up. Then you can be done in half the time," he told his friend. AJ replied with an enthusiastic 'sure' and directed Elusive to the cleaning supplies.
Elusive and AJ worked rhythmically, with Elusive doing one table, and AJ doing another. Soon they had half of the tables clean when they hit a snag. "Oh dear."
"What is it. Somethin' wrong?"
"Yes there is. The cleaner were using isn't strong enough for this stain. I need to get another from the closet." As he began to strut over to the closet door, he felt a hand grab his arm.
"Now hold on there partner. Ah happen to know that this cleaner is works just fine. You just need to use some elbow grease, and I'd put mah honest word that it would work," he stated. Elusive was slightly agitated.
"Sorry to disappoint you Applejack, but using the force that I could muster, the stain is still there," he spoke pulling his arm away, continuing his path for the closet. His hand reached the doorknob, when AJ took hold of his shoulder.
"Now Elusive, ah see no sense in openin' a different bottle of cleaner. Especially when all you need is elbow grease." Elusive could hear the twinge of agitation in his friends voice. He shrugged AJ off, and opened the closet door, walking inside.
"Now Applejack, surely you realize that I know that the cleaner were using now just simply won't do." He began to search for the cleaner he was looking for, when he heard the door click behind him. He turned, seeing an irritated AJ to greet him.
"Ah won't let ya leave hear with that cleaner," said AJ blocking the door. Elusive was starting to get as angry as AJ now, his brow furrowing deeper.
"Well, if you're so sure that you will be able to clean the stain, then give it a go." he said, voice rising. AJ turned and began to open the door. Nothing. Elusive sat waiting tapping his foot, as AJ turned the knob again. Nothing. "Is there a problem?"
"The door won't open."
"Maybe you just need to use a little elbow grease," stated Elusive with a smirk. He got a glare in return.
"These doors close at the end of the work day. It won't open till the next day. The doors are sound proof, so we can't yell for help, and the door is iron. Do yah got any bars?"
"I left my phone outside," said Elusive slightly embarrassed. He almost always had his phone with him.
"Darn. So did I. So I guess were stuck here. Elusive blushed. He suddenly realized he was in a closet, with the guy he may have had the tiniest crush on. He didn't remember how it started, but if he were to guess he would say it all started when they were at his 18th birthday, when somebody left a piece of chocolate birthday cake on his chair. AJ walked behind him the whole way inside so nobody would see his chocolate butt. His attraction had been growing strong ever since.
"AJ. I just realized something. Today is Friday."
"...Crap."
Chapter 2: A Night In a Closet
Elusive and AJ sat in the closet waiting. This escapade would be something they would never live down. To pass the time AJ would say things like, "How ya doin'" or the occasional sigh. Elusive was more concerned with the smallness of there confinement. The closet was in the shape of a tiny hallway, being long enough to lay down in, but only stout enough to give them two inches of space. There was a clock hanging over the door in the closet, so they could keep track of time, but AJ said that they would begin to investigate their disappearances at some point tomorrow, so they were able to ration the granola bars and water in Elusive's bag till then. He glanced at the clock; half 7. Elusive yawned, breaking the silence.
"Tired?" asked AJ. Elusive nodded.
"I normally don't get tired this early, but seeing as how we're playing the waiting game, I can't really see a reason why not to sleep." He yawned once more. Elusive adjusted himself on his back, using his arm as a pillow. He mumbled a good night to AJ and began to let sleep overtake him. He was out in less than 6 minutes.
Elusive felt dreadfully groggy. He was conscious, but his body refused to move. He was just so comfortable. He smelt cinnamon and was the perfect temperature. Wait wasn't he supposed to be in a closet, filled with chemicals, and on a cold floor? He opened his, albeit a bit faster than he wanted to admit, and noticed something that made him blush a deep shade of red.
He was smuggled with AJ, limbs intertwined. One of AJ's arms was around his waist with another against his back pulling him very close. One of Elusive's legs was pressed up against the cowboy's groin, which had grown to glory from what Elusive deduced was morning wood. There faces were so close, there was less then a centimeter left to close the gap between them, and Elusive was smelling AJ's cinnamon breath. His stomach was doing flips. AJ's eyes soon fluttered open, revealing the emerald orbs. Now it was AJ's turn to do the blushing, as they both jumped backing into a wall.
"I AM SO SORRY, AJ!!! OH MY GOSH IT IS ALL MY FAULT!!!"
"AH SHOULD BE THE ONE APOLOGIZING!!! JUST BECAUSE YA ACT GIRLY DOESN'T MEAN AH SHOULD HAVE JUST ASSUMED!!!"
Elusive's mind was still trying to process this whole situation, when he finally realized the last words to escape AJ's lips. Did he just admit to doing that on purpose? Elusive was playing the words back in his mind, each time adding a new butterfly into his stomach. "Wait, you said that you shouldn't have assumed. Did you do this on purpose?"
AJ's face went pale. He had just revealed his secret to Elusive. This was definitely going to make things awkward. He was cursing his honesty. Why did he have to blurt out the truth like that?! "Yes..." AJ answered, his voice getting really quiet after that. "Sorry if ah scared you. I really hope that this doesn't make things awkward for us," AJ said feeling ready to cry at the inevitable rejection. Instead, different words graced his ears.
"Well I would most definitely be lying if I said I hadn't enjoyed it. I have to admit, I don't really care that much about who's dating who, but with you I do tend to pay more attention when your grandfather sets you up on dates with the girls at the school. I guess you could call it a sort envy I guess," he rattled off. He couldn't believe what he had just said. He just, although somewhat vaguely, just admitted his crush, to his crush!
"So would ya mind maybe going to a movie with me some time. Y'know, if ya wanna, that is." AJ was clearly nervous. He was biting his lip, and twiddling his thumbs in the hopes to maybe go on a date with somebody he chose for once.
"I think that that's a wonderful idea. When we get out of here of course." Elusive was jumping for joy in his head! He finally was going to go on a date with somebody he had been crushing on for the longest time! Although, as if on queue, the door opened, and the police, along with the worried guardians of the boys, had finally rescued them.
