"Finally, we're done." Vegeta said without a pant in his breath, directing his usual glare to the portable gravity chamber he set in the far corner of their new backyard. "Took all damn day for me get that thing running with the manual. Probably should have just used magic instead of reading the manual."

"My powers are not to be so easily manipulated for such miniscule tasks." Porunga, Nameks Eternal Dragon, said with bitterness inside the saiyan's mind. "Remember that well Vegeta, for the negative energy will build unless released."

Vegeta scoffed the words with a wave of his hand, uncaring about what he already knows. "You don't have to remind me every damn time I use your magic or think about it. Besides, Horizon can take care of taking the negative energy and converting it to his own."

"Speaking of which; How is that squirt? After giving him such odd wishes I figured the power would have already gone to his head."

"He is nothing like Broly if that's what you're thinking." The Saiyan Prince crossed his arms and shut his eyes, pondering what he knows about the alicorn. "He may have started roughly as my student, but he's seen the horrors of our duties as guardians of life. And whether he likes it or not, the enemies we have will come. And when they do...he'll have to fight."

"For what exactly? If I recall...he has no family or friend to fight for."

"Wrong, Porunga." Vegeta breathed. "It is not that he has no family or friends, it is that he wants to prove every one of us wrong. His goals are to prove everyone he hates that it was a mistake to betray him."

For what it was worth to The Saiyan Prince, remembrance came along while the silence around him continued to whisper as a small gust from the pegasi working in the clouds. Although they were staring at him every once in awhile, he pondered in his mind how far he has come as a teacher, and how far Horizon has come to be as strong as he is."

...

"Is that all you can do!?" Vegeta barked at his wounded student, watching in disgust of Horizon's shortened spar with him. "I'm barely at super saiyan three and you're already exhausted. Stand up and push through the pain or I will beat you to a pulp because I will not tolerate kakarot and I's blood being so pitifully wasted in a weakling like you!"

Horizon is not the kind of pony to get angry so easily, nor the kind to act belligerent when insulted. But to hear his master's words sparked the suppressed rage he's kept inside himself since they saved him from death.

It hurt more than anything in the world to be treated so lowly, for it reminded him how much his fellow ponies would abuse him, beat on him for fun, push him around for their own amusement. And even though his wounds are serious enough to have him in a hospital, Goku stood on the sidelines with a bag of senzu beans in his hand.

Sadly the saiyan god did not feel as confident as his comrade. He watched the stallion cough blood, shiver in agony and anger, and try to flare his power to the dangerous level of Kaioken X20.

Said saiyan breathed in pity for Horizon. "Vegeta...he's too weak to keep on fighting you. Let's take a day to rest up before resuming his training."

"Bullshit Kakarot." Vegeta argued. "He's only too weak because he keeps holding himself back, he's only this way because he's too afraid to use the power he's been given. Besides he's my student and I say the little runt needs a harsh dose of reality if he is to be like us, like a true warrior of a different race."

Goku was about to argue with the obvious but found it to be futile and rude. He knew it was pointless to interject with his friend's methods of teaching when he was not so different with training Uub. In the end he kept his mouth shut and watched the stallion desperately struggle to stay on his hooves.

To his dismay though...

"I'm not...weak." Horizon whimpered through the blood on his mouth; his cowardice now shimmering away as the strength in his body started to grow. "I'm not...weak...at all. So shut up and...keep...teaching me."

"Oh really. You're not weak?" Vegeta mused. He had found Horizon's weak spot, the button to push. "Then why is it that a little runt like you can't so much as realize that being a warrior is life or death? Because frankly I'm starting to see why your teacher and family hated and betrayed you."

A flinch, a cold, menacing flinch was all it took for the stallion to show where he is not to be mocked. And with that one little button in his life, Vegeta continued to berate him without regarding the harsh factors that are harder on the pony than what he experienced in the past.

"Hey Vegeta; Don't you think Horizon has enough to-"

"Come on Horizon. Prove me wrong right now, prove to me and Kakarot that you are not weak, that you are a warrior like us." Vegeta ignored Goku and kept up with pestering the pony. "Come on, you little runt. Stand up and fight, or do you need your mommy and daddy to save your ass? Oh wait...YOUR PARENTS HATE YOU, AND SO DOES YOUR FORMER TEACHER!"

In that moment, that sudden moment of awakening, Horizon dropped the shackles around his emotions and unleashed a blood-curdling screech of unbound hatred and fury. His eyes blazed a solid red as he howled to the skies of The Eternal Dragon Realm and unleashed a dangerous spike of power.

Not that it mattered to Vegeta or Goku. Until they felt the teenager's power level multiply while the features of his alicornhood shifted to a much more surprising display of mixed blood and power.

"What do you know!?" Horizon yelled through his growing aura of orange, flaring his sharpened wings of orange as the tips shaded into a familiar yellow. "What do you know about parents!? You lost yours to Friezaaaa!"

"What the hell!?" Vegeta said, his mild case of shock being the same as Goku's.

Suddenly the young stallion flapped his wings and charged the floating saiyan with unmatched fury charging in his hooves. His instant rush was more than enough to throw The Saiyan Prince off his guard for but a moment, causing a series of openings to be shown to the teary-eyed alicorn.

Forgetting why he was fighting, sinking deeper into depression and rage, Horizon channeled his ki to his hooves and released a mindless onslaught of ki blasts.

Goku's eyes widened, his voice comprehension near stolen with how stunned he was of Horizon's escalating power level.

"Is that-"

"What do you know about hatred!?" Horizon screamed furiously while taking his chance. "You were forced to watch your family die, you lost your family. But my family betrayed me, my sister framed me so that she can be Celestia's student, my parents kicked me out of the house when I was twelve years old."

"What?" Vegeta asked in the explosion, not even moving an inch from the ki blasts.

"My friends, my very few number of friends turned on me. My teacher banned me from ever returning to the castle and took away my recommendation to so many prestigious schools. So tell me master...WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT HATRED!?"

With only a few yards between him and the saiyan, Horizon switched his assault to one last effort of hurting his teacher before he could make a move. Unfortunately for said stallion, his efforts were only masked in the smoke his teacher remained in, knowing it would be a dishonor of the stallion to dodge what cannot even scratch him.

And with just enough to prove his point, so he believed, Horizon stopped with mere inches from his master and threw his hooves in front of him for the one technique he still has trouble completing.

Not today though.

"I'll show you how strong I am, master!" he bellowed behind the orb of blue. "KAMEHAMEHAAA!"

...

"He certainly showed us what he has." Goku chuckled; both him and Vegeta now standing over the unconscious alicorn. "I guess he did need a little push to tap into his power."

"Hmph. I have to say that I am impressed." Vegeta admitted with a smirk. "Though his attack did not even scratch me, he still put everything he had into shutting me up...just as I planned."

"Planned?" Goku questioned as he picked up Horizon and cocked his brow.

Vegeta walked away from the two and headed for a good spot to meditate, knowing that Goku will take the teenager to his hammock for rest. "But of course, Kakarot. It was my plan to make him act out as he did in order to break away from what was holding him back."

Goku scratched his head. "Really; Well what exactly is that?"

Vegeta looked back at him with the same smirk, but with a suspenseful silence between them.

...

...

"That in order to be a warrior, he needs to stop giving a shit about the ones that hurt him before searching for something worth fighting for."

...

"He still has not learned that lesson yet."

Vegeta looked up to the sky and wondered aimlessly about his ambitions. He puzzled himself with how much time he had to spare before another life and death situation happens with his enemies returning. Until the sound of a glass door sliding open drew his attention from his deep thinking, and from the pegasus that is hiding on one of the clouds with a set of binoculars.

"Master." Horizon said at the entrance, his cloak no longer hiding his figure. "It's about time for lunch. What do you want to do for today?"

That was not a hard question for the saiyan to answer.

"Easy. We're going to check out that Everfree Forest you told me about...and hunt." he said in a brash manner.

With just a nod in agreement, Horizon made sure to lock the backdoor before leaving. Once that was done, he made his way to Vegeta and flared his normal yellow aura while unfolding his wings.

And as soon as Vegeta flared his, they took off through the sky as two surprising tails of blue and yellow and headed towards The Everfree Forest.

Unfortunately for one curious pegasus, their takeoff was so powerful that it caused a twin Sonic Rainboom to blast her through the sky and crash into Twilight Sparkle's library. The only there, however, was her favorite little dragon that has been busy with cleaning up the gigantic mess the citizens left behind from the Summer Sun Party they had two days ago.

Startled by the sound of shattering glass and shelves falling over, Spike accidently released a burp of green fire before turning around to his newest friend of blue fur.

Whom happened to be seeing stars at the moment.

"Rainbow Dash, what the heck did you do?" he asked, only to get a few words out of her.

"Weird guys...fly...boom...never...Everfree...Forest." finally she fell over, dizzy and regretting her intention of spying.
