Chapter Uno. With a tip of the hat.

There was a man, nothing in particular that separates him from the rest of the crowd, except maybe the way he dresses. A fedora, snazzy tuxedo vest, long sleeve white dress shirt, long black dress pants, exclusive 'Ray-ban' sun glasses, a blue tooth, some tuxedo shoes, and a 'G-Shock' watch. Also a bow-tie. Where was the man heading too? I can hear you wonder, well, the teen was going to a place most of us have went to. School. 'Oh so there must be some kind of event, like after school then.' Not really, this is always how he would dress. The name of the man was Alexander Burns. It was just about the end of forth period, and he had to go to fifth. He had exited his previous class and had began a walk down the hall to his next. On his way there, he seen another guy, about his age, walking on the other side of the hall, toward Alex. The boy had a bunch of books he was struggling to carry, Alex is a gentleman, for when most people need help, he'll be the one to assist. Until he noticed something. On the backpack of the boy was a pony. Just a pony keychain, like the one you could've got from McDonald's. Upon the verification that the boy was a 'Brony' Alex switched his mindset. Instead of offering help, as the two crossed, Alex stuck a foot out, effectively causing the brony to lose balance, sending him tumbling down to the floor, books and papers and stuff trailing him to his demise.

Alexander had just merely smirked, and reached his destination of his fifth period class.

After the time of schooling at finished, Alexander had went straight back to his dorm, tired and exhausted, his original  plan was just to take a nap once he had gotten to his bed. On his arrival to his dorm room, he found his room-mate, Jason, to be dressed quite well, which was surprising, since Jason was the opposite of Alexander and didn't care what he put on.

"Well, well, well, You're looking awfully good today." Alex told him.

"Thanks, so, what you up to?" Jason asked.

"Nothing, just gonna sleep." Alex said.

"WOAH, WOAH, WOAH!" Jason stopped him. "Sleep? Bro, you can't sleep, tonight, we gotta PAR-TY!"

"Since when?" Alex asked.

"Since, like, now! No freaking duh!" Jason yelled.

"Alright, where's the party at?" Alex asked.

"At a club not to far from here?" Jason told him.

"How the hell are we gonna get there?" Alex asked. "I'm not gonna walk."

"You retard, we're taking my car!" Jason told him, hopping in glee.

"When the hell did you get a car? More importantly, how the hell did you get a license?" Alex asked.

"Blah, Blah, Blah, just get ready, we're gonna go in, like, half an hour." Jason responded, ignoring the comment Alexander had made.

Half an hour later....

"I can't believe you driving a total piece of junk" Alex stated.

"Well, it's better then nothing, and it's DEFINITELY NOT LIKE YOU HAVE ANYTHING!"Jason said.

"Good point." Alex had to agree.

A few hours later...

"OH LORD" Jason cried, swaying and unable to keep his balance.

"Maybe, Maybe we should take a taxi, don't you think?" Alex said.

"AND LEAVE MY CAR? NAH MAN, YOU SHOULD DRIVE." Jason handed the keys to Alex.

"But..." Alex tried to argue, but Jason was in the car.

Alex was sober, he was never one for heavy drinking, or drinking in general. He never quite enjoyed the bitter taste of beer, or the burn of whiskey down his throat. So what was the problem? The problem was that Alex never quite drive a car before. His parents were killed in a car accident when he was five, and still has a fear of motor powered transports. So, he really could not bring himself to get a car.

Alexander got into the driver's seat and let out a sigh. He tried to see if Jason was sill reasonable but he just looked as if he had a seizure. Alex knew how to drive, he just, never did. He undid the E-Break and put the lever thing into R and began to reverse out of the parking lot. It took him some time, but he got out fine. Alex was sweating an awful much, and opened his window, letting the cool night air into the car. A car behind him honked quite loudly. "Oops" Alex said, then he put the lever into the space next to the D. Alex then drove off back to the dorm of him and Jason.

Some time later...

Jason stirred, the bright lights of the night seen only in blurs. "Where are we?" He asked.

"Don't worry, we're almost there." Alex assured him.

Jason yawned, and shook himself awake. "Not bad for a first timer." He told him.

"How did you---" Alex was cut off.

"Bro, I know your afraid of cars. Everyone does." Jason told him.

"How?" Alex asked.

"Quite obvious, you have so much money, but no car. Everyone knows." Jason told him.

"Oh." Alex sighed.

"Don't worry, here we are, home stretch" Jason said, referring to this long road that heads back to collage.

"Yeah." Alex agreed. "Almost there."

There was a car behind them, but they didn't mind, they figured they went to the collage too, it didn't strike them that the driver was drunk.

The car was going fast, and it was swaying wildly. Alex was too focused on the road, Jason couldn't add one plus one. Then, by cruel fate, the drunk slammed his car at Alex and Jason, not enough force to hurt them right then and there, but enough force to push them off the street.

And into a light pole.

The drunken driver stopped for a second, then sped away.

Alex stared forward, at the dashboard that crushed him and prevented him any means of escape, and coughed out blood all over. He tried to take a look at Jason, but he fainted before that.

*Beep**Beep**Beep**Beep**Beep*

Alex slowly woke up, his vision blurred as he looked around the room. He was breathing hard, with the assistance of a machine. I.V. bags were injected into his arm. His heart was beating quite strangely.. His clothes from last night were on a table, covered in blood. His eyes snapped back into focus at the remembrance of last night. A doctor came into the room.

"Ah, you're awake. I wondered why the speed of your breathing increased." He told Alex.

"Wh-What happened last night?" Alex asked.

"You crashed, someone knocked you into a telephone pole, at first we suspected drunk driving, until we found you were sober an driving your friend, and until the police  found the skid marks, the person that caused you to crash had fled the area." The doctor explained.

"J-Jason...? I-Is he gonna be okay?" Alex struggled to say.

"I'm sorry Alexander, we tried our best, but he died in the ambulance from internal bleeding in his lungs." The Doctor told him, looking away.

A tear formed upon  Alexander's face. Damn. Jason.... But the sorrow was replaced with anger. Why me?! First my parents the my only trustworthy friend I've managed to make in years!? Why?! And the anger was diminished by fear.

My parents. My best friend. Now...Me.

Alex looked at the doctor who was still looking away. "Doctor?" Alex asked.

"Yes?" The Doctor responded.

"H-How long to I have?" Alex gulped, knowing fully well what he will say will be his fate.

"Until you say so, with a maximum of twenty eight days." The Doctor said

"Until? You mean, I say when I want to die? Until the twenty eighth day? Then I die no matter what?" Alex asked, confused.

"Yes, that's right" The Doctor said.

"But doctor? How?" Alex asked.

"Put your hand on your heart." The doctor told him. Alex did.

"You feel the beating?" The Doctor asked.

"Yes. But I don't unders--" Alex was cut off.

"That's not your heart. It's a machine" The Doctor said.

Alex was shocked, why him?

"You were rich Alex, you got the wealth of your parents. It gave you this heart to stay alive Alex." The Doctor explained.

Alex was amazed. Money could buy you even a few extra days of life.

"I'm sorry Alexander, but you must rest, I need to attend to other patents. Press the red call button if you want a nurse to help you." The Doctor pointed to the red button, then left Alex's room.

Day Three.

Yesterday wasn't special, just sleep. Today, Alex couldn't sleep any more. Too much sleep, for once in his life. He decided to see what's on the television. He grabbed the bedside remote, and turned the T.V. on.  Much to his dismay, all that showed up was static, on every channel. He pressed the red call button, and a few seconds later, a head popped up by his door.

"Hi! What do you need?" She asked.

"Uh, just a question." Alex said.

"Sure! Ask away!" The nurse said.

Alex pointed at the T.V. screen. "Is the cable down or something?"

"Yes, Sorry!" She replied.

"Just curious, why is the cable down?" Alex asked.

"Oh, our satellite dish fell. You know, with the thunder and heavy rain!" She told me.

"What?" I asked.

She opened my curtains. There was a big-ass storm outside.

"Oh. Well, Thank you." I told her.

"Not a problem! Just call for help!" Before she left however, Alex stopped her.

"Wait! Nurse!" Alex called after her.

"Yes?" The nurse asked.

"What's for entertainment here?" Alex asked.

"Well, we have books." The nurse said.

"No movies or anything?" Alex asked.

"No...Oh! Wait!" She entered my room and opened a cabinet.

"We have these!" She pulled out the seasons one and two sets of 'My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.'

Alex felt like throwing up. "May I ask why?"

"Well, we had a young girl, and her parents--" Alex cut her off.

"Okay. I understand." Alex told her.

"Would you like to watch it?" The nurse suggested.

"No, I'm quite alright." Alex told her in monotone.

"Are you sure? You know that grown men watch it too they're called---"

"Bronies. Yes. I'm Aware." Alex yawned. "Sorry for keeping you busy."

"It's quite okay." The nurse added as she left.

Alex then began to slam his head against his bed.

The nurse's gaze softened. "Gonna give it a shot now are you?"

"Got nothing to lose." Alex told her.

The nurse put the dvd in, and brought the Tv close to Alex. It was the best Hospital room money can buy anyway.

"You should be fine now." She told me.

"Thank you" Alex said and started.

The show had began, and was now at the intro

♪ My little pony, My little pony, ah ah ah ahhhh ♪

It took all the willpower Alex had to not stop the dvd.

After about a few episodes, ( He's now at 'Bridle Gossip' ) his thoughts changed

"Well...maybe this isn't so bad." Alex said.

Guess it is true, the last things you see before you die are colorful ponies. A marshmallow one, one made of cotton candy, one made out of skittles, one out of cereal, one out of peeps, and one made of nerds candy. and who knows what the others are made out of?

Day Thirteen

"Wow." Alex said, he was watching 'Read it and Weep' and found how similar it was for Rainbow Dash and him. Even to the point were they succumbed to something, Dashie to the book, Alex to the Dvds. Then it hit him

"I'm A Brony." Ironically, at the same time Dashie said "I'm an egghead."

Day Twenty

Alex took the Dvd from from the player. He just finished the entire two seasons.

"Damn good show." Alex said.

Alex hardly slept during his pony marathon.

He was damn tired.

Day ???

"Why, Alexander, you look absolutely fabulous!" The white marshmallow pony told another pony, a stallion with a chestnut coat, he was wearing a nice suit, and had a designer fedora on.

"Why, thank you Rarity, I must say that you look absolutely beautiful." ( And edible. ) The stallion said.

"Why thank you!" Rarity said. "I think that these clothes for the summer sun celebration is just dashing"

"As do I, but I must attend other things Rarity. I'll see you soon?" Pony- Alex asked

"You shall, The Carousel Boutique is open to you when ever you wish." Rarity said. A grin on her face.

*Grunt**Twist*

"Hey! Rainbow!" The stallion asked.

"What's up Alex?" The Skittles pony asked

"You practicing Dashie?"

"Yeah" Dashie confirmed for Alex.

"Wanna race?" Alex suggested.

"Sure!" Rainbow accepted.

*Gasp*

"People just don't appreciate books now..." The pony made of nerds said.

"Well, they're missing out! People just don't know" Alex ranted.

"What books can teach you!" Twilight and Alex said at once. Alex offered Twilight a smile, who blushed and turned away.

*Cough* "Alex? Are you okay?"

"Well, ah be beat. Thanks a bunch fer helping us with the farm Alex!" The pony made of cereal told the chestnut colored Pegasus stallion.

"No problem. Glad to be of service!" Alex said.

"Yah look hungry, here take one o' tha Apple Family's Apple Turnovers!" She said, handing me the treat.

"Thanks Applejack!" I called out to her.

*Yelp* "Oh Shi--- Doctor!!"

"Wow...You're really good with animals Alex...." The pony made of peeps said.

"Thanks, I really was never one to work with animals, but, I am really surprised that they all love me so much...Thanks Fluttershy." Alex told her.

"O-Oh! N-No problem..." Fluttershy squeaked.

A small white bunny hopped on Alex's back.

"Angel! Don't do that!" Fluttershy scolded the bunny.

"It's okay Fluttershy, he's pretty cute." Alex said, petting the bunny. Fluttershy just smiled gently.

*Beep*Beep*Beep*Beep*Beep* "DOCTOR!!"

"Wow, these are really, really, good cupcakes Pinkie!"

"Thanks! But you help make it too you know!" The Cotton candy pony pointed out.

" I just did what you told me to do, I didn't even do 1/6 of the work you did!" Alex insisted.

"Well, any help is a big help you know!" Pinkie Pie said.

"Still though, these are great! Mind if I?" Alex asked.

"Oh sure!" She said, giving Alex a bag of cupcakes. "I'll be seeing you around?"

"Of course! We should really do this again sometime!" Alex told her.

"Yeah!" She said, a wide smile plastered on her face. "Bye!!" She waved wildly.

"Alex!! Alexander!!"

"On the count of three!" Rainbow Dash said.

"One," The chestnut coated Pegasus said.

"Two," she continued

"Three!" They shouted, and took to the skies.

Rainbow was fast, really fast. But, so was Alex. It was difficult for him, but he eventually caught up.

They flew neck and neck, through dives, around mountains, and avoiding monsters. Alex had hope, that was kinda smothered then Rainbow Dash sonic rainboomed past him.

"Well, that was kinda long." Rainbow said as Alex got to the finish line.

"Gimme a break Rainbow! You were moving fifty times my speed!" Alex complained.

"Yeah, but I gotta admit, you were awfully fast." Dashie told him, then gave him a wink.

"ALEXANDER!! WAKE UP!!"

"GAH!" Alex sprung from his bed. He was surrounded with doctors and nurses. "What happened."

Alex's Doctor spoke up. "I don't know, you looked like you were having a cross between a seizure, heart attack, and nightmare."

Well, it was no nightmare.

Just then a doctor Alex had never seen before came to Alex's doctor and whispered something in his ear. Alex's doctor looked back at him. "Alex." Then he turned away.

"There were some complications." He told him.

"What do you mean 'Complications?'" Alex asked.

"Today is your last day." His Doctor informed him.

Alex fell back into his bed. "Damn." He said out loud.

His Doctor looked at him. "Would you like anything?"

"May I please be left alone?" Alex asked softly.

"I understand" his doctor said has everyone filed out of his room. His nurse however went to Alex.

"You have a visitor." She informed him.

"Send the person in." Alex instructed her.

"Yes, They shall be up shortly." His nurse confirmed.

"One last thing." Alex said.

"Yes?" His nurse asked.

"The visitor will be the last person I see. I will end it for me. Thank you. You and My doctor can have half of my wealth. You two... you two really cared for me." Alex told her.

A tear formed in the Nurse's eye. "Thank you..." Alex gave her a slight nod, and waved her off.

Alex sat on his bed. Just waiting. His skin began to crawl. Soon, he would end his life. He took the 'My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic season two dvd out and put it into the television. He went to episode eighteen. A friend in Deed Alex made a small loop in the dvd, then turned off the monitor.

There was a small knocking on the door.

"If you're my visitor, then come in. If not, please don't." Alex called at the door. The knob slowly turned. Alex's visitor walked in. The Alex's surprise, the one person who visited him was the brony kid he often hurt. He was soaked in water. Must have been stormy. He set his umbrella down.

"Hey." the kid said.

"Hey. Take a seat bro." Alex said.

There was a moment of awkward silence before Alex broke it.

"I never caught your name before." Alex told him.

"Jeffrey." The kid said, well, he is an adult.

"I'm Alexander. You can call me Alex." Alex told Jeffrey.

"Jeff. You can call me Jeff." Jeff said.

"I would shake your hand, but I just feel...weak. So, I gotta settle for a brohoof." Alex offered Jeff.

Jeff seemed shocked. But took the brohoof. "So your a brony now?" Jeff asked.

"Yeah. But I wanna ask you something, Jeff. Why? I treated you like absolute trash. Why are you here?" Alex asked

"Love and Tolerance bro. I learned there was nobody visiting you. Figured if you like it or not, I'll visit you." Jeff explained.

"Thanks.." Alex's eyes started to tear, but he rid himself of the tears. "I'm so sorry bro..."

"It's all good." Jeff assured him. "So how did you become a brony?"

Alex pointed to the dvd collection. "There was no cable due to that big storm. This was all I had to watch."

"But why were those dvd's there?" Jeff asked.

"It was what a girl wanted to watch. On her last moments here." Alex told him.

Jeff swallowed. He's been watching too much horror movies.

"You know what's funny Jeff?" Alex asked

"What?" Jeff wondered.

"In season two, episode sixteen, Read it and Weep the stuff I did was so similar to what Dashie did, and that was before I started watching." Alex told Jeff about the eating, jokes, the lamp, and even succumbing, how Dashie caved in to the book and how Alex caved in to the dvds. They had a good laugh about it.

"Rainbow Dash is best pony!" Jeff chuckled.

Alex then jumped a bit.

"Hey? Are you alright?" Jeff asked

Alex started breathing hard. "You may want to leave now."

"What? Why?" Jeff asked.

"Because, I'm going to need to put myself down." Alex informed Jeff.

"No. Your not going die lonely! I'll be here!" Jeff told him.

Alex coughed blood out onto his blanket. "Jeff.. take the other half of wealth.. And share it with the brony community, and if you see my caretakers, tell them to at least donate a little.." Alex struggled a smile.

"Okay. Sweet Jesus...." Jeff tried to say.

Alex smiled "You mean, Sweet Celestia..."

Jeff smiled, though it was more forced then anything. "Sweet Celestia, thanks."

Alex coughed harder this time, splattering blood on Jeff. Jeff paid no heed to it. "Jeff, can you do something?"

"Anything." Jeff told Alex.

"Put the television in front of me, and bring the I.V. bag closer to me."

Jeff did as he was told. Bringing the specified objects closer to Alex. "Tell the staff Jeff. To leave these dvds here. It taught me things I never thought I could learn. And made me a lot more happier. Now turn on this TV." Alex looked down and coughed again. He was breathing fast and hard.

Jeff turned on the Tv to find it paused on Pinkie Pie smiling.
