Getting Lucky
You were what?
Load Full StoryNext Chapter“So let me get this straight.” Lucky said. “You were raped by Braeburn?” She handed Firestorm a cup of black coffee and sat down next to him on the couch. He nodded silently before taking a small sip and setting it on the end table. “It was just horrible. Beyond horrible. I can’t get it out of my head either. The entire thing is just burned into my brain. I still have nightmares about it too, but they were pretty tame compared to what he did to me!”
“Are you sure you’re not just blowing this out of proportion, Storm? It couldn’t have been that bad.”
“Lucky, it was bad. Don’t doubt me.” He took another sip of his coffee and sighed. “You gotta help me Lucky. I can’t eat, I can’t sleep, I can’t even look at Sapphire without seeing… him.” He shuddered. “Please, you have to do something, anything. I know you’ve traveled a lot, you have to have picked up some crazy medicines or treatment techniques.”
“Alright, alright.” She chuckled. “I’ll help. How about we start off with some calming music.” She got up and turned on an old record player. It started to play Moonlight Sonata. “Just relax for a bit while I check my books.”

Lucky threw herself onto the couch groaning. “Man, I can’t believe we just wasted two hours on that!” Firestorm sighed and looked at her tiredly. “Lucky, let’s just quit. If hypnosis, hot coals, ginseng, yoga, and that thing you did with the snake didn’t work then nothing will.” Lucky got back up and hit the table with her fist. “No.” She said. “We’re not giving up yet. Not until you’re cured. I can fix anything, we just need to find the right way to do this.” Saying that gave her an idea. “Do…” she whispered to herself. “That’s it! I know what to do! Wait out here until I call you.”
“Where are you going?” Firestorm asked, confused.
“Don’t worry, you’ll see.” She said as she walked into her bedroom.
